follow me; everything is all right.

The water splashed around the children's feet, attempting to push the cane out from under the blind girl. It was more audible now, the trickle began sounding more like a faucet.

The power of the water becomes evident as the sound of it starts to get louder and it begins to churn upward, but oddly, it stops at the castle windows, even open ones, and does not spill a drop outside of the castle.

This started to feel like Deja-Vu.

Gasping the hand of the girl with the cane tightly in her smaller ones, she led her back only so they were closer to Daphne. She had two girls to look after and the weight of her backpack was probably the only thing that kept her from being swept away aimlessly. Diane reached out for her. "Daphne, is it? Come down, we need to go a level up fast --" A wave pushed her along the current so her feets were momentarily not on the floor. This will get worse before it gets better. In any case, she had not many options and her hands thus found Daphne's robes, both as support and --

Diane pushed her down meaning to make her meet the water... Guess this meant another trip to the Hospital Wing and another period of medicine during lunch.

Daphne stood on the ledge as the water started to reach her feet. She looked out the window. It wouldn't be such a huge leap to the surface, but it would be uncomfortable. She pressed against the glass, but the window refused to open. "Oh no!" she wailed as the sound of the water became louder and louder.

Now it seemed she needed to get down into the odd water, but all Daphne could manage was to dip her toes in. Then she noticed the two little kids caught up in this mess. As a seventh year, Daphne needed to take charge, even if she wasn't comfortable with the situation.

Taking a deep breath, she prepared to hop down into the cold water. Then she felt something tug at her rob, causing her to slip and fall completely into the water. As she stood up, she felt her left ankle give way, she must've banged it on the window ledge. "Urgh!" she moaned, attempting to wade through the water. She grabbed a hold of a girl she had met, Diane. "OK, let's get out of here," she grumbled, extending her arm to a rather confused-looking girl with a cane. She had heard about the blind student here, but hadn't encountered her. "Hi, I'm Daphne, just hold onto me and I'll get you out of this," she reassured her, shouting somewhat to be heard over the churning. It was just her luck that she was nowhere near the stairs as this was happening.

The water fiercely rose to shoulder level and the sound of the rush was deafening. In the water potion vials and corks were floating in it. A GO SNAKES banner floated by, followed by a fancy green compact with the initials P.G. on it, and a Yellow notebook with a badger on the front.

Antonio and Sarah had finally reached the stairway, ready to head upward to safety. "Just keep walking and don't look back," he told her, still holding onto her hand for fear she would try to get away and do something foolish. They had only a few flights of stairs to safety, maybe only one, but Antonio wanted to be sure so they were headed all the way to the 7th floor.

A thought suddenly occurred to Antonio. Where was he going to teach, how was he possibly going to be able to finish his final lesson for Muggle Studies without a classroom? Well, he guessed that didn't really matter right now, as long as they safely escaped from this mess.

Sarah couldn't believe what she was seeing. "Professor, have you seen what is in the water?" She asked, she was soaked and starting to get cold, but she knew she had to get off the floor as quickly as she could. She realised that the Professor was still holding her hand which was good because she was having trouble getting to the stairs since the water was upto her shoulder. She looked at the Professor who seemed worried about something.

"Professor are you okay?" She asked as they got to the stair at last, have you forgotten something, I could swim back and get it for you?" She was sure that something was up and felt sorry for the Professor. "If it's about your office sir, I am sure we can fix it for you." She smiled, she would help him redecorate his office when the flood waters when down, if they ever did, she hoped that they would.

"Yes, I saw it," Antonio said. There were things floating in the water, some from Slytherin and some from Hufflepuff, the two common rooms that had been flooded out already. This time it was a little easier as it was classrooms and not entire common rooms full of students, but the whole thing was still kind of crazy. "Let's try not to think about it," he told Sarah.

"Thanks for your offer to redecorate," Antonio said, wondering if he would ever even have a classroom again. "I think a lot of the stuff can be fixed, like the portraits and that kind of thing. Most of the muggle stuff is probably beyond repair, but I have a source to get more of that kind of thing any time I need it, so don't worry about it. I have lots of connections in the muggle world." He smiled. They were well up the stairway now and were on their way to safety.

Sarah smiled as they final made it out of the water by climbing up the stairs. "It's very wet down there." She said, "I'm soaked, I never thought that when I came to the school things like this would happen, it seems such a shame that your classroom has been flooded." She sighed. She was very cold but she could change when she got back to the common room.

"Professor Dumont, are you okay?" She asked. "I am glas that you can get some more muggle equipment." She smiled as she thought about the last class of term and what it would be about though she didn't dare ask the professor, then the smile vanished as she thought about the titanic. "Now we know what the people aboared the Titanic did." She said as she looked down at the water.

Kevin shuddered as the water rose to his shoulders and he decided to head to a higher level far away from the rising flood waters and he made his way up to the seventh floor and hoped that the waters would not reach up to the seventh floor but he was secretly worried

Antonio smiled at a young boy, probably a 1st or 2nd year, who had just made his way to the 7th floor from the staircase with himself and Sarah. He hoped there wasn't anyone in trouble on the 1st floor. It was far too risky now to try and return to that level. He shuddered as Sarah mentioned the Titanic. "They made a muggle film about that disaster," he said. "I've seen it, it was actually a fairly decent film, even though it was more a personal love story than a retelling of the disaster itself. And yes, what's happening her at Hogwarts does seem a bit like the Titanic disaster."

Who would have ever thought that there would be flooding at Hogwarts? The school was supposed to have been built a lot better than that, it was just too crazy to contemplate, and yet it was happening. How much higher would the flood waters go, and would the entire school be flooded? It really made no sense, because there was absolutely no flooding visible anywhere outside. Again he asked, how could this possibly be?

With the water splashing around Daphne's biceps, she found it easier to swim than walk down the hallway. She did her best breaststroke while keeping her head above water and making sure everyone was moving along alright. Several empty vials floated past her as she passed several open windows. She noted how odd it was that none of the water was escaping, and wondered if she could just jump out. But her mind shuffled that aside as she surmised the same magic forces keeping the water in might keep students in as well.

All this thinking left the seventh year distracted as a wave crashed into her face. Unprepared, she swallowed a significant amount of water. She had to stop and stand as she erupted into a fit of coughing, making it difficult to swim. After several moments, she was able to breath again and slowly made her way towards the staircase. She was relieved to see Professor Dumont on the level, helping students out of this situation.

"Professor!" Daphne shouted over the roar of the water. "Do you need any help getting students out?" she asked, feeling brave, somewhat unusual for the prissy Ravenclaw. She had a rather clever idea and pulled out her wand. She put it to her head and cast the Bubble-Head Charm. A transparent film formed around her head. "I am so glad that worked!" she squealed, having only cast this charm successfully on one other occasion. "This would have helped me so much more if I had thought of this before hand. I swallowed a whole lot of this foul water. But I should be fine, right?" she asked, feeling the bubble gently with her hand. The situation seemed less dire now that she could breath. She had been traveling through this with two younger students, and hastily cast the spell on them, giving them each a bubble. "That should make this better!," she nodded. She decided to dip her head in the water, just to ensure the charm was working properly. Lucky for her it was.

Of course--it didn't require a bit of thought to recognise the voice--It was a voice she always thought as sounding on the brink of a smile.

"Professor Kapoor!", she smiled, touching her glasses (a bad tic she had) and angling her head upward slightly. "Good morning to you, sir." She brought the cane directly in front of her, resting both hands over the top of it. Arienna's head slightly cocked to one side as her train of thought took over for a moment.

Divination Teacher. Divination tower. Tower--as in: almost completely opposite the first floor. "What brings you down here, sir?"
"I was just on my way down to the grounds. It's my onion, you see, it's..." He said, being cut off by the sudden alarmed reaction around him.

As the water rose, and thinking rather more with pragmatic solution in mind than with courtesy, he bent his back and hoisted Miss Malone over his shoulder. "Miss Entelequia, let me take Miss Malone. Will you and Miss Jones buddy up and escort each other out of here? I'll follow behind you." He said, speaking rather calmly given the situation around him.

"Pardon me." Was all he said, in a polite and warm tone, as if he were just passing through. Just moving along.

Oh dear.

Kapoor turned with Arienna slung over one of his round-broad shoulders to head to the stairs. He saw the yellow notebook and picked it up on his way out displaying an odd coping behaviour he possessed. "Dear Diary, Professor Lupa is one schmexay Professor..." He read aloud from it, before shrugging and tossing it back into the water.

"Hello, Professor Dumont!" The one girl, a Ravenclaw student casted the bubble-head charm to quite an ingenious effect. "Nice work, Miss Jones! Nice work!". He said encouragingly.

Now that she wasn't going to drown, Daphne found the flooding situation far more entertaining. She lay flat on her back and rolled over, staring at the stone floor. It was strange to see benches completely submerged. She stood up again, realising she was acting childish. "Thank you, Professor!" Daphne beamed, she had never gotten recognition like that from an instructor before.

Sarah looked around and realised that her and the Professor had been joined by a few other people and another Professor, she looked at Professor Dumont she was glad that they had left the Professor office when they had, she was sure if they had tried now they wouldn't have made it. She wondered what was going on, she was sure this was no ordernary flood as it would have been going out of the open window not doing what it did, she was shocked and decided that when they were safe she would ask the Professor if he had seen what she had. "Hey Professor Dumont do you want me to go for a swim and make sure there isn't anyone else in the classroom?" She asked, she wouldn't move if he said she wasn't too, she knew that Professor Dumont knew best and if it was too dangerous he would say so.

"I've seen the Titanic film to." She said. "It was sad, I hated the ending it made me cry so much, have you seen the film they made in the 1960 about it, there has been a few films based on the Titanic and one of them even brought the titanic up as they were after this metal though it wasn't in the titanic in the end." She giggled as she remember the film, "I feel like singing a song about floods but that would just be silly." She giggled again.

follow me; everything is all right.

The water was rushing harder and louder. More things were showing up in the water. A piece of parchment was floating in the water... It said:

Quote:
Mac Carden
Macadrian Carden
Mrs. Macadrain Carden
Mrs. Macadrain Shackleton Carden
Mr. Clifford Shackleton
3396694 1813235265
Also in the water was a Badger scarf with the words "I love the Dominator" embroidered in it and lots and lots of hearts around it.

Also a photograph of a boy in hufflepuff robes leaning against a beatup, rusted Ford Anglia on the outskirts of the forbidden forrest.

Daphne noticed a second year draped over Professor Dumont. In all the chaos she hadn't even paid attention to her. But then she heard the child talking nonsense about going back into the flooded classroom. The adult in her had to step in. "Hun that's not necessary, you just get yourself to safety," she instructed. After all, Daphne was a decent swimmer herself, and she had the protection of her Bubble-head. She pulled her wand out and cast the charm over the head of the Hufflepuff girl. "Just in case, not that you were going to drown or anything..." she added, failing to reassure the probably scared child.

The REAL Sorting Hat: "Ravenclaw!" This monkey is bananas.

Finally able to get himself out of the water infested classroom, and not a moment too soon, William waded into the corridor, a small hint of hope that this area would be clear. No such luck though as he was pushed into the wall by the water. Scowling at it he stuck his tongue out at the floor and began wading towards the stairs. Must. Get. To. Stairs he thought pushing himself further. You'd think he'd be used to this, but no. Stopping for a brief moment he took out his wand and performed the bubble-head charm on himself, breathing deeply as the bubble went around his head. At least he could perform magic in crisis he mused as he kept a hand on the wall to guide him.

He finally spotted people and a professor. Sighing deeply he waded towards them and, with his hand still pressed against the wall he looked at professor Dumont with a glossy look, probably from the icky water. Please don't tell me to go to the hospital again he thought desperately, having had enough of that place. It was a good thing he didn't have a bag, though the thought saddened him briefly.

"I have Sarah here with me and she was the only student that was anywhere around the Muggle Studies classrooms when it happened. At this point I consider it too risky to try and go back to the first floor. The main thing is making sure that we are all safe here."

The one girl, a Ravenclaw student casted the bubble-head charm to quite an ingenious effect. "Nice work, Miss Jones! Nice work!". He said encouragingly.
"Well, Professor Kapoor, fancy meeting you here!", Antonio greeted, surprised to see the Divinations professor here but grateful all the same. As usual, the more help in getting students to safety from the stairway the better, especially with the water rising. "Everyone is doing a great job, but I still can't figure out what on earth is happening here at Hogwarts." He shook his head. "Well, no time to worry about that now." Surely the water couldn't reach the 7th level, and that was where all of them were headed.

"I absolutely do not want you to go back to try and find anyone," Antonio said emphatically. "There was no one in the classroom, I checked before I left the area. The last time anyone was in there was during my second lesson, and that was a few days ago. So no, your going back would only do more harm than good."

Antonio thought for a moment. "Sarah, your talking about music from the Titanic makes me think of that song from the film, that Celine Dion song called My Heart will Go On or something. Gah, I hate that song!" Antonio shook his head in frustration. There was just something about that song that really bothered him.

Please don't tell me to go to the hospital again he thought desperately, having had enough of that place. It was a good thing he didn't have a bag, though the thought saddened him briefly.
Antonio saw William wading through the water slowly. "Are you okay?" was all he asked. It had been a trying time for all of them, students and professors alike.

Professor, I could easily just swim there and back." She smiled as she saw something in the water "it would be as easy as Abc." She looked at him and giggled. "Now that reminds me of that song Abc as easy as 1,2,3, that the Jackson 5 sang."
"Professor why do you hate the song my heart will go on?" She asked him, she was confused. "It's a good song a bit sad but most of those time of songs are." She said as she looked at the Professor and waited for an answer.

"I don't know exactly," Antonio explained. "There's just something about that particular singer's voice that bothers me, I guess. I know she's tremendously popular and all that, but it's the only real explanation I have for it."

Suddenly, Antonio wondered how Professors Truebridge and Lawson were doing. He hadn't seen them around and hoped they had made it to safety.

"Mr. Cullack!" Kapoor's voice greeted in a cheerful tone that suggested nothing of the mess that the first floor corridor had become. "Stick to the wall lad, stick to the wall." He said encouragingly, seeing the brilliant adaption of the student to keep himself afloat, but it was barely audible above the sound of the rushing water. Well, they were either going to drown or get the heck out of that water if they didn't move. "Alright, students, let us head for the stairs and up to the second floor corridor, shall we. We'll check for injuries and if you're alright, you ought to go on up to your common rooms." Aaand, hopefully they could hear him, against the rush of water, and its vast echo against the walls of the corridor. He moved with some, difficulty against the current and made it to the water-leveled step of the stairway up to the second floor, hoping others would follow.

Daphne was relieved to hear that her time in the water would be up. While she had dutifully offered her services, she secretly hoped they would be rejected. "I'm glad everyone is accounted for, so let's go!" she said aloud, echoing Professor Kapoor's sentiments to the younger students. As she approached the stairs, the water level seemed to taper off, exposing her previously submerged body to the air. The water had been a nice, comfortable temperature, but once out of the water, it was far less comfortable.

Wrapping her arms around her body, she shivered as she dragged herself up the steps. The added weight of her wet clothing made the ascent far more tiring than it would have been otherwise. Nevertheless, she was happy to be safe and sound.

William nodded, or tried too. "Yes I'm fine I think. If the water gets any higher I'll be swimming though." he replied, smiling at Dumont with a look that read I-hate-water-with-a-passion! He had to stop to catch his breath, his muscles beginning to scream in protest at he unnecessary feeling of the water pushing him forwards, backwards and into the wall. Luckily he hadn't hurt himself like last time, which meant hopefully no trip to the nurse. Again.

He nearly jumped at the sound of another professor, almost loosing his grip on the precious life-saving wall. He grinned back though, keeping himself calm and nodded, "Sure thing professor!" he replied, thankful the walls were made of stones with convenient little grippers he could clamp onto. The current was strong yes, and he was surprised he hadn't slipped and fallen. He barely heard what Kapoor had said, something about sanitary conditions? What did that have to do with them nearly drowning. The water noise was loud, making his ears pop almost in an airplane type way and he wished he had gum to chew right now to alleviate the pressure. But thankfully the stairs were just a few feet away from him. He. Could. Do. It! Cursing his shortness he struggled the last few feet, feeling his foot hit the stairs. With a burst of energy he followed Kapoor, his arms against the wall and stopped beside him on the stairs shaking.
