it's otay *hugs* Kel smiled when she voiced what he'd been thinking just a moment before. He looked at the bottom of the statue curiously, trying to find...he didn't know what. Hinges? Nah, it was a magic school, for Merlin's sake! So that means you need magic... Aha! Satine was a smart girl. Ravenclaw suited her well, obviously. He watched as she performed the spell, looking at the statue for any sign of moving or disappearing or something of the sort. Seeing nothing, he frowned. "Think it takes a while? Or...is this just some random ugly statue?" Either way, he really didn't care. They'd just move onto somewhere else, exploring the castle some more. |
"Well Snapdragons!" Satine said under her breath..."I'm not really sure...but I don't know any other way to open it..." she thought for minute...then shook her head...then thought some more...wow she must've looked odd..."Any other ideas...cuz apparently mine was dud...you wanna try somewhere else...I hear you can tickle the suits of armor in the second floor corridor and they laugh." |
"You know a lot, don't you?" Kel commented, before turning away from the statue. He thought about the armor, then nodded. "I've never heard a suit of armor laugh," he mused, smiling. "Wanna try it out, then?" He turned toward the stairs that led back up to the second floor, then spun around again to face Satine. "Where are suits of armor ticklish, anyhow?" he questioned. Were they like people - everyone was ticklish in a different spot? Would they have to try their feet, sides, and underarms on each one just to see if they'd laugh. Haha. That'd be fun. And entertaining for people walking by... |

She glanced around in hopes of seeing someone she knew, at least, but only came across people who looked unfamiliar, and one boy who liked kinda familiar, but she still didn't know him very well. "Hey, could I join you guys? I just can't seem to find anyone I know." |
"Of course you can join in our exploration across the castle...we're trying to find secret passageways but so far no luck and even if we found one...we're not really sure how to open them....but we're off the second floor to tickle the suits of armor to see if they really do laugh," the thought of this made her smile...."O, I'm Satine by the way," she put out her hand to meet the new girl..."Well we better hurry off because it looks like Kel is probably already on the second floor." She grabbed the girl's arm and ran towards the second floor corridor... |
"Oh, thank you so much." Natasha said with a grin at the girl. "That really sounds a lot more exciting then what I'm doing." She said to her. "Nice to meet you Satine, I'm Natasha." She said and ran with Satin towards the second floor corridor. |
Lyra made her way inside with her parchment in hand. She folded the piece of paper several times until it was small enough to fit into the inside pocket of her robes. She had several things to do but first thing was first, she needed Banana and she was going to search all over the castle until she found the girl. |
Copernicus Kettleburn, angsty-extraordinaire sixth year, didn't make it far from the History of Magic office. He would wander a few feet down the hall before slowing to a stop, lost in his own thoughts. Once he shook himself from his reverie, Cope wandered a bit further until the process repeated itself. When he realized he'd only made it halfway down the corridor, Cope gave up and slid to a seated position. Might as well just sort through it all and get it over with. First, he had to get beyond the very fetching pajamas that one Celandine Toussaint had been wearing in that memory. She'd never worn anything like that when he'd been visiting over the summer. After he was able to sort out the fact that he did like her pajamas but they were the least important part of the memory, he was able to move on. He didn't suppose that Cela knew that Nico had sent her the memory. She certainly wouldn't appreciate that Copernicus now knew so much more about how she felt than she'd ever been willing to share with him. He'd never seen her really vulnerable or hurt, and he could see now what a facade she wore with those outside her family. That she'd been wearing when he'd seen her earlier. It hurt a bit that Cela couldn't really be herself with him, but Cope recognized that he hadn't earned it yet. So now there was a new concern. It wasn't just deciding between being happy himself and hurting Plymouth. It wasn't really between making Cela happy and hurting Plymouth. Copernicus was now making Cela unhappy. He was making BOTH Plymouth and Cela unhappy, and there wasn't anything he could do to fix it. Ughhhhh. Life had been so much easier when he was afraid of girls. He slapped the wall behind him gently, and then again a bit harder. And then he punched the wall. Which hurt a LOT. |
Abby walks down the hall with no place to go. How could she get herself in such a mess? Abby's thinking about drowning herself in the lake when she sees Copernicus wandering down the hall. She calls out to him. "Copernicus!" |
What was the deal with the water on the floor? There had been people running around the castle who looked like they fell into the lake with all their clothes on. The Healer was going crazy, as were prefects and others. Water was EVERYWHERE. What in Merlin's name was going on around here? She stepped cautiously around the puddles she found, wondering which one she would actually hit. Normally, Karma was a graceful person, being skilled and trying to get ready for Quidditch and all. But her balance - yeah that was sometimes off when she had too much sugar. Right now, it wasn't so hot - her mum sent her some of her favorite candy and she had eaten it before coming down here after getting word of the water. Heeheeheehee... sugar. Now she wasn't paying attention to where she was going, and - whoops! Karma stepped in one of the puddles, then slid and fell right on her butt. "ACK!" she yelled, as the water splashed around her. "OH fan-freaking-tastic! Merlin's lost pinky toe! UGH!" |

"Hey, Abby," he raised the hand that wasn't pulsing from a beating against the wall and winced. Quote:

Abby starts walking to where Copernicus is sitting when she sees another student fall on the floor. Abby rushes to the other student. "Are you okay? |
Aiden Everett scampered down a staircase to the first floor corridor, looking around eagerly. He'd heard talk of flooding on the lower floors by a couple girls in his common room, and the fifth year boy was eager to investigate. When he reached this floor, however, Aiden realized that he would need to go even lower in the castle to see what was going on, as first floor only featured a few soggy puddles, rather than full on flooding. Just as the petite boy was turning the corner to descend another staircase, however, he heard a voice shout out in what sounded like anger. Not the type to let people be angry, Aiden turned around and found the source of this yelling. An older-looking girl had fallen over, slipped in a spot of wetness, naturally. Grinning, Aiden began to skip towards her - intent on helping and cheering her up - but he had never been the most careful of boys, and he too ended up slipping in a puddle! "Wooooaaah!" Aiden squawked, as his butt slid along the floor. When he finally stopped sliding, Aiden looked up to find himself seated on the floor next to the said girl. "It's a bit... soggy down here, eh?" he giggled. |

Naturally, she got sprayed with more water. GREAT. Now her hair was going to flip out, do whatever it wanted - stop being vain. The boy who had slid next to her looked older, but he didn't really act like it. That was different. "Yeah, it is," she said to the younger boy. "And yeah Cope, I think I'm fine. I should be at least." Her legs were fine, just wet. And her butt was numb, wet, but still attached. Her arm did hurt a little bit, and she winced when she moved her shoulder. "What happened to the castle? It all started in the dungeons, and now everyone's running around, soaking wet..." Arm. Pain. Not too bad, don't wince... |
Abby also got splashed with water when the other boy decided to join the party. "What are you talking about?" |

The Gryffindor boy began to giggle as Minky started sliding around the corridor floor, splashing a bit of water up on the small group that had assembled as he did so. "I have no idea what's going on!" the small boy exclaimed. "I just heard some people talking about the flooding, so I came down to investigate... Dun Dun Dun!" Aiden practically shouted, though his voice cracked a bit on one of the words. He hadn't really gotten through that whole puberty thing as of yet. |
"Flooding?" Abby looks at Copernicus. "Surely if the castle was flooding the teachers would have ordered it evacuated." |

Scrambling back up onto his feet, Constantine sprinted down the hallway again, dodging in between various students and then pouncing onto the staircase to the second floor. He wanted to ice the staircase again, but...she would see it coming this time. |

Um...scratch that...he just fell in some water. Paris only caught a glimpse of him as he fell in the water, jumped up and took off again. This was almost as run as when Anna was chasing her on the 7th floor trying to hex her last term. She lifted up her robes and ran after him. |

Oh damn. That looked like it hurt. It's a good thing I'm a healer. Cari sprinted after Neo. Long legs are good. She was closing the distance. She was! Oh if only she were Evie, who knew the entire school inside out. She'd have to used spells. It's what she did. She aimed a silent freezing spell at the Groundskeeper's shoes. It would be uncomfortable, and it should just about ruin his agility. Providing she hit her mark. It was completely stupid, because all this was creating more work for her in the end. Why couldn't he just take the potion? |
He was partway down the hallway when he noticed that his feet became really uncomfortable. He looked down, only to notice that that bloody woman had frozen his shoes! Cursing, he continued run, pointing a silent heating spell on his shoes. That just made him curse even more. He started to hop, taking off one shoe and then taking off the other. He dropped them to the floor and took off in his socks (white, if anyone really cares to know) and started up the staircase to the next floor, but not before pointing his wand over his shoulder and sending a silent trip jinx. |

Oh got a mouth on him, didn't he? Cari giggled. And then she kissed the floor. RUG BURN!!! Oh he did NOT! Without even getting up Cari cried, "Avis Oppugno!" because she was annoyed. Skidding on a dry carpet hurt you know! Jumping to her feet she bolted after him. Was she going to give up? NEVAR!!! |
Sweet merlin, the pain was getting to be too much. That fall earlier had re-agitated the already damaged muscles in his back, the pain was actually quite breath-taking (and not in a good way). He pushed himself to keep running up the stairs, but he was thinking about the pain too much and he ended up stumbling and falling on them. Gritting his teeth together, he tried to work past it and pull himself up the stairs, but, all of a sudden, there was a flock of birds around him. He stopped trying to get away and wrapped his hands around the back of his head to shield from the birds. |
"Petrificus Totalus !" Cari cried, pointing her wand like a sword and closing the distance between herself and Mr Constantine Masterson. If that didn't work, nothing would. But then, she had an advantage, she was sore and rugburned, he looked hurt. This is why this was not her favourite "take your medicine" method. |
Constantine moved his hands away from his head and looked back to see where she was, only be frozen half through the process. Left to remain with the pain in his back and to shout his pleas into his mind, his eyes focused on the floor as he anticipated her making it up to where he was. |
