All the niceties were taken care of, she waited to see if he'd strike first. |

Without waiting for a reply, Headmaster Bontecou soundlessly performed the charm that would lock the poor boy's tongue to the top of his mouth. |

SWOON. Swoonswoonswoonswoonswoon. Tobi Avalon... need not ever know about this moment. But.... what? Errr... "Oh? You want me to ... ?" Plymouth was planning on BEING hexed, then nursed back to health. Well. Plymouth would just have to do the nursing himself. No ... complaints... about that from this Morgan. Beam! Plymouth retrieved his wand and made a DEEP sweeping bow to Nurse AVA LON. He never took his eyes off of her though, and was a grinning fool. "Hehe." Wink. |

She needed to think a little more carefully. Hmm...there was that moment during her sixth year when the professor literally tried to steal Cale away from her. Granted, the professor had greatly regressed due to that whole ordeal with the ghosts and the mirror, but still, it'd happened, and it could be used as motivation for the intent. Then...ohhh, then there was that whole Colin MacKenzie Meet and Greet. Now that should give her enough motivation to really cast one heck of a major Langlock. She did a quick bow, turned and walked back ten steps, then whirled around. In a split second her wand swished and flicked, and she called out, "Langlock!" Her spell, of course, was directed right at Professor Bunbury. |

Standing there awkwardly, Jake wondered what Lawson had meant by assisting the man. Maybe just samething to get him to... leave him alone for a while. He was going to ask the man when he noticed he was busy with Dani. His girlfriend. Wait... was she still his girlfriend? So confusing. |

"Ngyuhh? Hlluhhmlluhheee, Guh Juh!" She opened her mouth so that Herminny could see that her tongue was stuck to the top of her mouth. It had hit nicely. |

And he's BOWING like... She refused to roll her eyes. ! !! Did he just WINK at me? It's because I value human life that I won't be telling my baby brother that his friend WINKED at me. And I won't remove his eyes right this minute. Cari bowed, just enough to be polite. And snapped back up straight like she were a rubberband. "Are you ready now?" she asked as patiently as possible. Which wasn't very. BUT HE WINKED AT HER! |
When Lars agreed to help students practice dueling, he had not planned on being late. Of course, nobody ever planned on being late. It just... happened. Lawson would be glad he showed up, hopefully. Better late than never, right? Or something like that. Professor Svensson brushed the thought aside as he entered the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, wand already out. He hesitated and stayed near the wall, trying to guess what was going on. It looked like people were dancing, though how that related to defense was beyond him. Clearly, observation and evaluation were never two of Lars's greatest skills. |

She had just turned on her hot Jimmy Choos in time to spy Anna shouting the last syllable of the spell. Without thinking, Bunbury swirled her wand to created a shield and accidentally deflected the spell right back to the Head Girl. "Ooooops," she muttered, pressing her free hand to her face to keep from laughing at the sight of the tongue-tied child. "I am so sorry, Anna darling, I hadn't realized you were going first. Fast reflexes, you know." She twirled her wand innocently enough and then hid it behind her back in case Marcus came around and said something about ah... letting students learn. But she was learning, right? For now Miss Greingoth could delight in the feeling of being tongue tied for once in her life. ;) |

She turned back to the Professor, blushing. "Sorry." She pulled her wand back up to the ready. "Ok." She was nervous, but her eyes still sparkled with the confidence that some percieved as cocky. It wasn't often she let someone strike her without blocking or striking back. And now her boyfriend was going to see her with her tongue glued to the top of her mouth. Dang it. |

But instead, there came no words. He did it silently. EEEEP! Jack barely had a split second to panic as he saw the professor's wand move, and then, his tongue shot up and glued itself to the roof of his mouth. It was definitely a very strange feeling, he concluded. His natural instinct was, of course, to move his tongue around, but there was no budging it. Obviously Bontecou knew what he had been doing (well DUH) and as he moved his tongue around more and more, the weirder it began to feel. And he panicked just a bit--it felt like his tongue was more easily swallowable this way. "Ehhh urrrrrrunnneeeh!" he tried to speak and say "I surrendor" but, of course, it came out as a bunch of jibberish nonsense. Hopefully he'd get the gist of it! |

Aislynn was shocked at all the professors. Heck! Even the Headmaster was here. Wait a second, she thought to herself, Maybe they are all here to prepare us for something? Maybe they want us to be prepared if we would have to fight the merpeople? She looked around. It appeared everyone was matched up with someone to practice dueling. All's well, she thought, I can still learn while watching. |

Plymouth ...doing a few knee bends. Then he rearranged his grip on the wand. Okay. He could do this. "If you need a hug afterward, I'm okay with that." Deep breath in, deep breath out. Plymouth closed his eyes, raised his wand and cast, "Langlock!" |

Marcus was so tempted to strike while she was off waving to Jake. "Miss Devouche, focus please. You can't afford to be distracted during a duel." Without taking his eyes off the young girl, he motioned for Jake to come over to him. Good she was ready now. He gave his wand a flick. "Langlock" he said confidently. |

...but...but...but wait. She shielded it? That wasn't supposed to happen, though! Stick. Erm...had she just....she did! Oh, heck no! There would be no insulting of Pradas now, would there? What a meanie! Her eyes wide in shock, Anna mumbled, "I nee oo to cath Fuhnee Ecatate, peas." (OOC: I need you to cast Finite Incantatem, please.") She glanced around the classroom, hoping none of her friends or the other professors had seen any of that. How embarrassing! |

"I like using Langlock against opponents that aren't able to cast non-verbals because it can actually help you win a duel if it means they can't say the incantation anymore." Celandine told Herminny, pleased that the other girl did a good job with it. She slid her right foot back and bent it at the knee, then released her wand from her wrist holster into her right hand. "Langlock!" She spoke forcefully, the intent obvious. Cela jabbed her wrist neatly, giving her wand a little flick to send the hex shooting at Herminny's face. "My brother uses it on me on account of he thinks I talk too much." She added. |
"Is there anyone still without a partner because Professor Svensson over there looks like he could do with a workout." Marcus motioned to the Transfig Professor, while waiting for Dani. |
Ced look around, Does anyone had a partner? but him, is still alone. He wonders if he can do it alone, lock his tounge then unlock it. He walk towards Marcus, wondering if Marcus had seen anybody who is available. "Hey Marcus, Have you seen someone who can partnered with me? " He asked wistfully. |

Oh no. He was calling Jake over. She was about to tell him that was a bad idea, but then her tongue was stuck. Dang. She gave him a tight-lipped smile, refusing to expose her funny feeling tongue. She would not freak out. It would not happen. Suddenly she wished she knew how to use magic without speaking like she had seen some professors do. It was a strange sensation, not being able to control her tongue. She felt utterly defenseless, it was not nice. Not nice at all. |

She tapped her foot a few times and studied the nails on her left hand, wanting to allow Anna the most time possible to feel the full effects of langlock, before looking back up at the girl and flicking her wand at her with another nonverbal. It probably was an unfair advantage the way she didn't even mutter spells anymore, but old dueling habits die hard. "There you are, dear, I hope that wasn't too uncomfortable for you. All in the name of education, I daresay." She winked like there were no hard feelings between the two and then made a great show of setting her wand down on the floor in front of her. "I'm unarmed now, so, if you wish to take a turn and practice the spell... be my guest." But only if Anna wished to |
