Bella was there standing in the corner . she was looking around a bit nervous. she always liked DADA and she did pretty well in her first DADA homework too but actually dueling was something nervewracking. she was searching for a partner. she didnt seem to get anyone so she was observing how everyone was casting their spells especially the teachers and few 3rd and 4th years. theyr were much ahead then her in dueling "that's obvious isnt it?" said Bella to herself... |
Hope you are partner-less either... 'Cos I definately am. Quote:
Grace approached to the Raven girl. "Hi, I'm Grace Kettlewell. I think you don't have a partner either..?" Tone of a question. Really nice, Grace. "So um, do you want to partner up with me?" she asked politely, though she couldn't help but think 'You'd better.' Grace was really arrogant over these Ravvies. |

"oh...hi...Grace," said Bella slightly taken aback. she looked at her and saw the Slytherin badge on her robes.she thought, "i think i should be careful. never have i encountered a slytherin till now," "hi, i am Isabella Macmillan," said Bella holding up her hand. "yeah, i was in search of a partner," she said to her without any hesitation. |

How was she to know Dani would jump on Plymouth? "Finite Incantatum." Oh dear... "So I guess, seeing as I hexed Dani along with Plymouth... it's only fair for the both of you to be able to hex me?" I must be insane... |
"Alright everyone I think we might start with some actual dueling now. I would like everyone to-" Lawson's voice was drowned out by a sudden high piercing screech. It was the same screech they had heard the other day but it sounded much closer this time. He glanced at the other Professor's and then headed for the door. "I'll be back in a minute, nobody move and nobody freak out." Oops, perhaps he shouldn't have said that last part. |
Freak out? They'd just been practising to defend themselves, so nobody was going to freak out, right? Hmm. Kiri found that when she applied that hypothesis to reality, it didn't hold up. The unearthly screech echoing through the classroom made her grip her wand as tightly as she could. There was a second possibility, and it was much more worrying. Everyone had their wands drawn, everyone was at least moderately fuelled by adrenaline at this point, and it sounded as if merpeople were preparing an ambush outside the door. The implications weren't nice. Nervous students with their wands pointing at each other... Someone could get hurt. Kiri waited anxiously for Professor Lawson to return. |
She wasn't stupid. Not even a little. She knew that sound was the sound of NOT GOOD in the hall somewhere. And Marcus was going out to have a peek and maybe a little chat with it? Um... I don't THINK SO! "Marcus Lawson!" She yelled after him shrilly, clamouring to the door behind him. "ARE YOU INSANE?!!??!?!?!!! GET BACK HERE THIS MINUTE!" But was she chasing after him? Well someone had to be in one piece to put him back to sorts when the great not good vomited him back up again. Translation: HECK NO! |
William just stood there, his wand dropping from his hands to cover up the screeching sound. Second time in as many days, what the heck was up?!? Scowling he bent down picking his wand up and looking around, his dueling stance already on, his eyes alert. Whatever it was he wasn't going down without a fight. sure he was terrified beyond belief right now but he wasn't going to show it. |
A very large silver Chimaera patronus burst into the DADA classroom and when it opened its mouth Professor Lawson's voice could be heard. "There are Merpeople on the second floor. I am going to need some help down here. For those of you not up to fighting stay where you are. As for the rest COME AND DEFEND YOUR SCHOOL!!" The Chimaera dissolved into a silvery dust. |
Professor Bunbury had been patiently waiting for Anna to take a chance and cast at her when she suddenly saw Marcus' patronous burst into the room. Oh boyyy, the Merpeople were here. This was bad - real bad. "Fifth years and up - er, well, everyone - let's go! DEFEND HOGWARTS!" Well, she was going. She was certain those stupid merfolk or whatever had flooded her office and damaged her shoes. With a determined expression on her face, Annie marched out of the classroom and down to the second floor. |
HOLY MORGANA ON... I DUNNO WHAT!!! okay.... Remain Calm... Remain Caaaaaaaalmm PAAAAAANIC-- NO! Remain CALM! CALM!! "Well, you heard your professor..." Caroline said in a high and all around funny voice. "Anyone who feels like they are capable of standing against the odd Merperson, please make your way... down there.... - What Professor Bunbury said." TO YOUR DOOM!!!! "The rest of you, there is no shame in staying behind where it is safer." Yeah and If Anastasia is going... how can I stay behind? |
Dani heard the Professors voice and shoved Plymouth off of her. The Second Floor? She was on her way! Merpeople couldn't be that scary right? She ran toward the door with her wand pulled out. She knew enough right? She could freeze them or stick their tongues to their mouth. She was goin. She ran out the door wondering how many others would go. |
William growled, how dare they! You so knew he was going to go into battle, prove to himself he could fight without fear. Lawson and Kazi had taught him that much. This was his hone, not theirs. Holding his wand he turned and bolted out the door, heading for the second floor corridor. |

Lovely. They got to continue dueling, and boy did Professor Bunbury sound overly-amused about that one. This could give Anna another good shot to finally beat her, though, so Anna pushed herself up off the ground and raised her wand again. With a swish and a flick, she called out, "Avis..." Quote:

He then gestured to Chris to be ready and then all of a sudden the screeches were heard and then Lawson came running out of class. After a moment the silver chimera with Lawson's voice. Merpeople ? In Hogwarts?" Then they are requested to join to fight against them. He looked again at Chris and said, "Can we continue this later on? I want to fight..." he smiled and gestured [I]Come on/I] to Chris. |
Kiri couldn't move. The classroom was emptying fast, and by this rate, very soon she would be the only person left. But she was too scared. This term, she had nearly drowned twice. The second time it was because a Grindylow had pulled her into the water. Professor Lawson's patronus sounded deadly serious - if there really were so many Merpeople on the second floor that he, a teacher, needed assistance from as many students as possible, then they would be facing a small army. And she wanted to help, she did, but she didn't delude herself. Once the fighting started, she was not going to be useful. If anything, someone would end up having to rescue her again. And should no one be around... Well, a full year's worth of nightmares had anchored drowning as one of the more horrifying ways to die deep in her mind. All that was fine, and perfectly logical, but Kiri felt like a coward. She bit down hard on her tongue to keep herself from crying; that would be even more pathetic. The pain managed to keep her eyes nearly dry. With a sniffle, she plopped down on the floor, in the middle of the room. Around her, her classmates, braver and more courageous than her (and a good part of them were younger!) dashed out of the door to defend the school. But Kiri would stay. Kiri was afraid. |
Quote:
"Come on guys! Let's defend the school!" and he left to fight with the others. |
Cedric scowled as he heard Professor Lawson's very loud voice that all of them could clearly hear and make some students to tremble. What? Merpeople invading Hogwarts. No way, We should defend our school. Cedric thought. He wonder if he will be allowed to help even if he's just a second year student, But he learned enough, good at dueling and many more so he can help. |
