DADA Lesson 3 Upon entering the classroom you will find that all the desks and chairs have been vanished from the room leaving a very large open space. Marcus, is purchased on the only desk in the room his legs swinging back and forth. "Welcome your third DADA lesson, please come in and put your bags against the wall and take your place in the centre of the room. For the moment leave your wands in their holsters." |
Oooooh DADA. Cam didn't know when he'd actually need it but eh, he knew it'd prove useful one day. Besides, learning hexes were... dangerous--but the gooooood kind of dangerous (to him). He walked into the classroom. Eh? No desks? Where would they sit?! He couldn't stand aaaalll day, ya know. "Haayy professah," he waved and walked to the center of the chairless classroom. He checked if his wand was in its holster. Yeeeerrrp. |
Which classroom this had been originally (that is to say, just a few months ago), Kiri couldn't even remember - in the course of this term's flooding, the classrooms and offices had been moved around as if the whole castle was being shaken by some sort of mad titan - but it was empty except for one table at the opposite end. Professor Lawson was sitting on it with an air of quiet contentment about him. "Hello, Professor," said Kiri, and she walked off to one side to deposit her bag on the ground as instructed. Having done so, she wandered back into the middle of the room, wondering what to do with herself until the lesson started. |
Varius entered the DADA classroom where things went from magical to completely insane. This was the class that he attempted to explain to some poor Slytherin that grindylows were french and where he tied the knot with a certain Mr Morgan. Well! There would be no marriages today! That was for sure. He placed his bag against the wall as instructed and made his way to the center of the room. "Hello Professsorrrr," he said airily as if he had been induced with high amounts of morphine -- which he hadn't, but who could really tell? |
As Jack walked into the room, his eyes immediately fell on the large OPEN space in the middle of the room. Oh Merlin, they were going to be duelling each other, weren't they? Why else was there NOTHING in the room? Either that, or they were probably doing something where explosions would be highly likely, or things would be flying around hitting other things and the professor was just taking precautions. "G'day Professor Lawson," Jack said with a smile, placing his bag on the side of the room and standing in the middle with the rest of the students, running his hand over the holster he had to make sure he had his wand. Yup yup, it was there. |
Chris Potter walked into the DADA classroom that was empty of all desks but the Professor's smiled. 'This must mean a practical lesson.' the prefect thought happily. He left his bag against the wall with the door and walked forward to the center of the room joining his classmates in greating the teacher. "Good day Professor Lawson, Im ready for a lesson." he grinned. |
Abby walks into the empty classroom. She wonders how long it will remain dry. At least the merpeople have decided to stop singing for a while. Abby was getting a headache from all the racket. "Hello, Professor Lawson, how are you?" Abby places her new book bag against the wall and finds a place to sit down. At the rate she's going her Gringott's vault is going to be empty by the end of the term. My dad thought he had put enough money in it the last until the end of my seventh year. He didn't count on the merpeople deciding to move into the castle. |
shuffling into the DADA classroom William grinned and looked around. Since he didn't have a bag, thank you very much Mr. floody-man he just walked over to the center of the room, nodding at professor Lawson. "Hey professor Lawson. how are you today?" He greeted the man. Stopping he held his hands behind his back, his wand was ready and willing to be used when needed. |

She walked into the classroom and her eyes were drawn to Chris' she smiled and dropped her bag on the floor, leaning it against the wall with her foot. She practically skipped over to his side. She waved at him and then waved at William. |

Herminny entered the DADA classroom for her third class and her mouth dropped, there were no desks except the one in the middle the professor was sitting at. She heard the instruction to put her bag by the wall and did so and then said, "Hey professor Lawson, whats up with the practically empty classroom". |
Em entered the classroom, "Good day, Professor" He greeted with a smile, instantly followed the instructions, put his bag to the side and walked towards the center of the room. His wand hoster was a bit itchy, yet he knew it was needed at all times. Wonder what they might do that day...hmm. |

Victoria walked into her favourite lesson, "Hey Professor Lawson!" she smiled at him as she put her bag against the wall and waited with the others. |
Demetria walked into a very open classroom. "Hello, professor. How are you?" she asked putting her bags on the other side of the room. |

"Good day Vicotria, Demetria and Jule." Marcus clapped his hands together and jumped off the desk. "Right as you may have guessed with the lack of furniture in the room, we are going to be practicing some dueling today. Now before you all draw your wands and start hexing the daylights out of each other there are a few things we need to go over first." He moved forward a few steps and stood in front of the students. "So who here can tell me when entering into a formal duel what is the first thing we do?" |
"Don't we bow to our opponents?" Jule said, not too sure of herself. |

Well, when they're back on speaking terms they're REALLY back on speaking terms. She was really only here in case something went awry... right? Still, you never do know what can happen... memories of Jake pouncing, and her own wand poking some poor child in the eye came to mind, so Caroline opted to dress yet more casually than ever. Well, not casually, professionalism is important. But she wore pants for once, which is a first... maybe ever in Hogwarts, even when she was a student. And running shoes. Will wonders never cease? Slipping inside the door much as she did last time, Caroline waited until she caught Marcus' eye. |
Formal Duel. Wonder...wonder and answer! He raised his hand first, then spoke: "Well, if the person accepts the challenge of a duel, there must be set place for the event, during which the first thing to do is to bow to one another before starting any fight..." He answered. |
