Celandine had clearly been reading up on this topic, she raised her hand again, "Bloody Bones, Piast, Dobharchu and the Melusine too Professor. I know some of them are sort of similar to others i've mentioned, and the Melusine are similar to merfolk and sirens, but they are mentioned in a distinct sense too."

Lawson raised an eyebrow at Celandine, this girl could just about teach this class herself. "Excellent again Miss Toussaint. One point."

"Thank you Mr Morgan. I'll take your answer and give you another point."

"Alright you all seem to know your stuff. I am very impressed. So let's start with a water demon we know is real. Grindylows. Who can tell me about the Grindylow?" He began to move around the room once more observing each student as he passed.

'Yay!' If she hadn't been in class, Lettie would have clapped for herself. That was all she wanted...one measley little point. Grinning from ear to ear, Leticia listened for further instruction, and noticing that the boy next to her had skid over a bit more.

She slid the book farther over so that the older student could see and thought to herself, 'Grindylows...um...they...live in the water? And they're, um....bad.' But now that she had apparently proved herself to some extent, Lettie could pass this one up. There was no point in making herself look like a total fool. Well. More of one anyway, and her face was still bright red from the last question to boot.

However; plimpys still scared her...demon or not.

Herminny raised her hand and said, "A Grindylow is a pale green underwater creature that lives in the weed beds at the bottom of lakes in Britain and Ireland. It has green teeth and pointy horns and long, strong fingers they use to pull prey into the water. They are violent, and aggressive towards both Wizards and Muggles".

William put his hand up again. This he knew. "Grindylows are pale green monsters who live in the weeds. they have long fingers that are very very strong. they have horn on their heads and have green nasty teeth." He replied nodding his head.

Aaron knew this. AARON KNEW THIS! "Sir, A Grindylow is a green creature that lives in weeds at the bottom of lakes. It has green teeth and pointy horns, and strong fingers. They are violent, and aggressive." Booyah!!! Chalk one up for Slytherin!

Plymouth reached out and touched Professor Lawson when he passed by his desk. No reason really, but he kept walking by and sometimes Plymouth just couldn't himself.

Then he raised - fingers - to make horns through his hair. "They have horns and give me nightmares, Sir. I mean, you're not even safe with floaties on because of the horns. I'm not a fan of them, Professor Lawson." Plymouth wiggled his horns and then put his hands down.

"Grindylow are horrible. Merpeople have domesticated them to some extent and there are some in my lake at home and some HERE in this lake and if you are swimming and they get you, you can kick them in the HEAD." Cela's eyes widened and she shuddered. "They GRAB you and they pull you under the water." She finished with her hand raised. She wrapped her arms around herself and shuddered again.

Abby raises her hand. "It's easy to defeat a grindylow. They have very long fingers which are brittle. A witch or wizard can easily break these fingers and get away."

Tino nodded vigorously in agreement with girl in front of him, smearing his sleeve across his bloody face absentmindedly. "Yeah, yeah! She's right! They have breakable fingers. Although how they are both superstrong and superbreakable, I dunno. But they go like this." Tino held up his quill between his two hands and snapped it in two. Ink sprayed his face.

Raising his hand, Jake looked apathetic and tried to appear as though he was remaining engaged. Whether he was or not could not be observed. Nooooobody knew.

Nobody.

"They're... in the water..." he shrugged, wondering how most people knew everything. Weren't they here to LEARN?! He felt so backwards.

Hogwarts.

Anti.

Jakers.

Satine shot her hand into the air, but when she heard Aaron answer, she let it come down and smiled at him...since he was beside her...she nudged him to tell him way to go....

Celandine laughed, clearly impressed and somewhat relieved at the idea that super!Tino clearly had grindylow finger-breaking skills. She leaned backwards in her seat and offered him a clean handkerchief. "You got ink on your face Tino!"

He was friends with Daphne right? That made him good people right?

Now that she'd done her part in redeeming herself and answering some questions and earning points, Issy set back on cruise control for now, deciding to go ahead and take notes instead. For this occasion, she reached into her bag and withdrew a favorite ink of hers; setting atop her desk, now, was a blue ink, full of sparkly glitter.

Smiling, she dipped her quill into the well and began to take notes.

And then she noticed Tino close by. Oh boy. He hadn't even cleaned his face from after the game! And now, mixing with the blood was...

"Oh, Tino," she murmured, digging in her bag to pull out a light blue hankie. Passing it to him, she glanced at his face and bit her lip. Oh deearrr. "You... can keep it..."

"You are all correct and so that's a point each for you. Grindylows, as Celandine said use their long fingers to grab their prey and drag them under the water and devour them." Lawson stopped and looked the kid who just sprayed ink in his face and he sighed and pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket and passed it to him. "You can keep it."

He moved through the tables once again. "And as was said although they have very strong fingers, they are brittle and easy to break. So tell me what kind of spell would you use to release a Grindylow's grip on you?"

Cela raised her hand. "You could use Relashio."

Oh now that was... kind of easy? Unless he was wrong... which would mean... no, it was hard. Still, he raised his hand anyway. "Assuming you can cast properly given your situation, then Relashio is pretty okay."

Abby raises her hand. "The Relashio Spell."

Satine knew this one and shot her hand up in the air, "Professor, wouldn't you use Relashio?"

Suddenly and without reason, handkerchiefs were being pressed into his hands. Tino accepted each token with a look of surprise. Well! He'd never received gifts from the ladies before! Or. . . a professor. He gave Lawson a wary glance. He hoped the man knew that a knight of valor such as himself preferred to fight for the honour of a lady in distress. . .

Oh. Hmm. There appeared to be something leaking from his face. Brain lubricant? That stupid Slytherin, and her elbow. He wasn't quite convinced that the collision had been an 'accident'. Tino dabbed at his nose carefully, and realized that he was also sporting a dark liquid of some kind. Hmm. How unusual. And now his quill was broken, too.

Tino leaned over towards Issy. "Fairest damsel, may I borrow your glue?"

"Relashio, though I'm sure you could use other spells." William replied his hand raised high. he was proud of himself and gave himself a mental pat on the back.

Issy raised her hand.

"Besides Relashio," she said, "You could try Wingardium Leviosa to levitate the Grindylow and attempt to force him to let go. If Relashio doesn't come to mind, you could try the Revulsion Jynx. It forces away the target and would force it to let go. Uhm. Could you use Reducto to break the fingers?"

Glancing at Tino curiously, Issy reached into her bag and passed her glue to the boy.

"...if you need a new quill, I could lend you one," she added slowly, suddenly uncomfortable with the idea of him repairing anything, if that was the use.

Chris raised his hand. "Professor you can use the relashio spell sir. But I was wondering could you also use a Stupefy spell?"
