Cela tipped her head sideways and shot a bright smile at Copernicus and another at Raiden. "Flipnsnipwitit."

"Glad you like it. I worked on it over the summer. It took me ages to get it right! But it does allow you to transfigure an umbrella out of anything, its just that the size and mass stays the same so you have to take that into account. I'll teach it to you later if you like. Maybe we can work on making the umbrella different colours and patterns. It was just a basic umbrella after all. Celandine giggled and shot another look at Cope and Rai-Rai.

"I like the rusting option and the glisseo option myself." Celandine suggested, "Try the glisseo one first, do you think? It would be easier."

"K!" Lettie said happily and moved a few things under the desk so that the droplets falling from the sky wouldn't get them wet. She took out her wand and watched as Daniel tied a knot in the rope.

Leticia tried to think of a few spells that could possibly get her out of this mess, 'Hmm...one that won't be subdued from the wet atmosphere would be good.' Already she could feel her hair getting damp. 'Hmm...maybe relashio would work?' She waited until Daniel had finished before speaking up, "I'm ready when you are. Feel free to go ahead whenever you're ready. She smiled lightly and held her wand over her head, and seeing another girl produce an umbrella from a flower, Lettie picked up a lolipop from inside her bag and did the same thing...though less gracefully, and the umbrella still had a pop-stick handle. It wasn't an intentional copy, but Lettie hated when her hair got wet.

Daniel almost bumped his head when the rain fell. I forgot to cover my things! With a simple flick of his wand towards the direction of his thing on the table, he conjured a plastic to cover the books and parchment over there.

Daniel nodded when Lettie said to go ahead and do the spell to release them, he knew two spell but the first one cuts in portions and the other one was not tested by him yet. He pointed his wand on the rope when he noticed that the rain was getting strong and when he looked at his partner he noticed that she conjured an umbrella from a lollipop. He doesn't really seen that lollipop but he knew because of the umbrella's handle. He smiled and pointed his wand upward and yelled, CASA APPARO And then a four-poster tent appeared just to cover a small portion of the classroom where they were.

He then looked at Lettie and nodded and conjured, Diffindo cutting a portion of the rope.

Daphne twirled the umbrella slightly in her hand, still looking up at it in slight admiration of Celandine's transfiguration prowess. "I think that will be a nice experiment," agreed Daphne with a smile. It was a much safer investigation than the Whomping Willow would ever be.

"I think it might work. You're really good at it too. Let's try glisseo."

Raiden stood awkwardly, tugging at the circle around his wrist as Copernicus Kettleburn asked Celandine and Daphne Hopton if they knew the spell. As soon as Celandine said it, Raiden let out a little, small, exasperated sigh. That was it. He'd known iiiiiit. He just... couldn't remember it! And Celandine's grinning threatened to push it straight out of his mind the second after she said it, and a bit of colour rose to his face. Mixture of embarrassment over not remembering the spell and the fact that... well he couldn't get over some silly little crush. That really... needed to be fixed. This whole 'unable to think' thing was fast becoming tiresome.

"Flipnsnipwitit," he repeated under his breath. "Right... I knew it was Flipsomethingsnippyish. It... it's a weird spell to remember." He looked at Copernicus Kettleburn before directing his wand upwards. "Protego."

The rain slid down over the shield charm, but wasn't landing on them anymore. There was that, at the very least. It was really... well the only charm that Raiden knew to keep it off them. With a quick glance at the ceiling, Raiden returned his gaze to Copernicus Kettleburn.

"Uhm... do you wanna do the flipsnipblahblah first, and then... I dunno, we can switch and you can do the shield charm so I can try it and we don't... get more soaked than we already are?"

Really, he could only have wet socks so many times in one term.

"Show off." Lettie said with a smirk as the tent appeared over them. She watched as Daniel cut away bits of the rope, but noticeably leaving a bit for Lettie to practice on. Since there was no more use for her pop-umbrella, Lettie set it under her desk.

'Diffindo.' "That's another one I was going to try, no worries though, I like experimenting." Leticia pointed her wand to the center of the bulky knot that was made between the two individual's hands, "Relashio." She said in a quiet but commanding voice.
A small jet of sparks emitted from the wand-tip. There weren't enough to cause the rope to burst into flame, but just a good enough amount so that the rope would weaken enough to pull apart at certain places.

Smiling up at Daniel when she had stopped from splitting the rope, Lettie said, "Care to try another method? I'm sure we can repair the rope if we need to."

Celandine beamed at Lettie and gave her a thumbs up. Pretty awesome job for the first try with a newly developed spell. She'd show her later if the other girl wanted to practice or help experiment.

"Okay." Celandine agreed. She examined the cuffs and looked for any obvious signs of trick charms or applications of potions that might have changed the nature of the metal cuffs. Not seeing anything obvious, she tapped her wand against her skin, as close to the cuffs as possible. "Glisseo!"

She started wriggling her hand and felt it slip through.... as far as it could. "I... might have to try the thing with the bones. Or... enlarging it slightly."

Lettie blushed as soon as she relized she had been caught, and immediately folded the umbrella up even more so that it couldn't be seen at all. 'Oops.' She looked back to the knot and wondered to herself, 'I wonder what would happen if I used the same spell as before...but in the rain.'

"Ah, clever," Copernicus glanced at the rain above them gliding off the shield charm and heading for the floor. It was rudimentary but made good use of what they had. Nicely done.

"I can go ahead and remove your rope," Copernicus gave Cela an appreciative smile before shaking his wand into a slightly vibrating blaze with a silent 'Flipnsnipwitit'. Cope wiggled his fingers in front of Raiden's face. "Sing a song. Don't think about what I'm doing, because I don't want you to move. Sing a song for Hopton. She's a pretty girl and pretty girls should always be serenaded."

"It won't go through," she hissed at her own hand, watching it stop at around her knuckles. The glisseo charm would only work so well. Heaving a sigh, Daphne pouted at Celandine. She really didn't want wobbly wrists! "Try enlarging it. Or should I?"

She could do that much, she thought, besides mooching off her friend's brains.

The corner of her lips twitched and Daphne pursed her lips in a tight smirk. "Have I ever told you, Copernicus Kettleburn?" began Daphne trying to shove her wand's tip between her hand and the item that kept her attached to Celandine to pull. "You're quite the charmer."

Except for the fact that you're totally not. "I should be careful from now on." Lest I projectile vomit all over Cela and Kururugi.

"Not as clever as most... er, other solutions," he mumbled, glancing at the guy who had somehow conjured a TENT. A WHOLE TENT. How had he... that was just... What?! Looking away from that, he turned back to Copernicus Kettleburn wiggling his fingers in his face. Odd. "Uhm?"

Ooooh. OOH. Raiden froze immediately, entire body going rigid rather than just his arm. People with... cutting spells. Being near him. Most others would get nervous and shaky, but Raiden had been around enough sharp objects in his life and had been told not to move often enough that he'd learned the art of standing completely still. It was one talent that he possessed at the very least. He could be twitchy and flaily more often than not, but when someone said to stand still... well he could stand still.

...Sing for Daphne Hopton?!

"Nani?" Raiden managed weakly. "Sing? For Daphne Hopton? I don't..." He didn't sing in front of peopleeee. It was... embarrassing. "I don't think she'd like that very much, Copernicus Kettleburn."

Which was slightly obvious from her smirk.

"Yes you try it." Celandine agreed, trying not to blush and think about all the ways Copernicus had charmed her. Noooo better not to listen to that. Nope. Not...

"I prefer poetry to singing." She murmured, unable to help herself.

FOCUSING ON THE CUFFS NOW.

Celandine tipped her head to one side. "Do you think.... the jelly fingers jinx might work? Or... we could modify the sponge knees curse and give ourselves spongey knuckles."

"It isn't charming if its true," Copernicus laughed quietly and turned back to his work. That Hopton refused so hard to be taken in by anyone that she refused to accept a compliment for fear it might be meant as a mockery.

"But Raiden doesn't appreciate my poetry," Copernicus matched her tone, but didn't bother to look at her. Whatever she was doing was probably too adorable and thus completely distracting.

Instead, he slid his wand along the rope, watching one... two.... three... four of the twined strands fall apart at the gentle nudge. The rope fell from Raiden's wrist.

Humming she hoped to drown out Copernicus' laughter. If Merlin helped her, they'd be over and done with this exercise before she spontaneously combusted. Tapping the handcuff she began to concentrate before she broke eye contact with the cuffs to look up at her Ravenclaw friend. "Would the jelly fingers jinx extend all the way to our last knuckles?" quipped Daphne squeakily, wiggling her fingers in thought. "Either way, let's try the Engorgio charm first and see if it works."

Taking careful aim at the handcuffs, Daphne couldn't help but overhear their conversation. "I think wooing Raiden isn't going to work out for you, Kettleburn."

"Engorgio!" chanted Daphne articulately, not willing to make an amateur mistake like incorrect enunciation. The handcuffs vibrated, shaking the chains that connected herself and Celandine. For an instant, Daphne was certain it was going to work as the handcuffs seemed to expand and return to their normal size repeatedly before something--went incredibly wrong.

Shrinking on them, the handcuffs tightened around their wrists, almost painfully before they ceased all movement. "Oh, fantastic," remarked Daphne bitterly, rubbing at the sore skin around the handcuffs with one finger. "I should have known it was booby trapped."

Show Off? I am just trying to help. Daniel just shook his head in awe. Then he looked at Lettie as she tried the Relashio charm to free them.

Daniel then looked up and said, "Let me try this one." he said remembering the one he read from his mother's diary. He had tried of this before and it really works. He pointed his wan on the rope and said in a clear voice, Lancamento a steady flash of light came from the tip of his wand and cuts trough the rope and he was released. "Do you want to try or should I?" he said looking at Lettie.

Was... was Copernicus Kettleburn laughing at Daphne Hopton? Raiden's eyes flickered back and forth; she looked distinctly displeased and Copernicus Kettleburn was laughing softly to himself. Well that wasn't nice.

But Raiden wasn't about to say so while Copernicus Kettleburn was taking the rope off his wrist.

As soon as the rope was off, Raiden took his arm back and relaxed slightly. Copernicus Kettleburn hadn't cut his hand or fingers off. The class could already be called a success, at least in his books. Raiden let out a breath that he'd been holding just as Daphne Hopton piped up again.

Who was wooing who, now?! Raiden eyed them all, slightly confused. What?

"Erm... No offence to Copernicus Kettleburn," he said, frowning and scratching the back of his head. "But... I don't think he's my type." At least, if he had a type, he was sure Copernicus Kettleburn wouldn't be it. "Uhm, do you wanna do your own rope, or should I do it? I know how to do the flipsnipperthinger so... I don't really need practise..."

Well he knew how to say it properly, he did. He just.. coudn't be bothered to remember it right now.

Ah...they were such clever little witches and wizards weren't they? Some had conjured tents and umbrella's and others had cast the Impervius charm. Marcus, was quite proud of the kids indeed but of course it was only a little rain and anyone could handle that right?

Giving his wand another little flick the rain changed from water to sleet and snow and the wind began to howl and rip through the classroom with incredible speed and intensity.

Of course Lawson, was back at his desk warm, dry and comfortable in his little bubble. "Seems the elements have changed somewhat" he smirked. "Again use whatever spell you can think of to overcome this little...inconvenience." He stretched back in his chair and propped his feet up onto the table once more. Watching every move they made, to see who could handle the pressure and who couldn't. He looked at his watch, the charm on the handcuffs won't wear off for another five hours yet.

He smiled at what looked like the second year. "Hi, I'm Aaron." he then looked into the box of stuff. "Well," he said. "Let's star simple. How about the rope?" he said taking it out. "here tie it around my wrists." he then put his wrists out in front of him and together.

But...the rain...someone stop the water!

Wait...

There was no rain anymore...it was...snow...

Much...better...still, the sixth year could think much better with snow on her side. Rain, well, that was different. At least she knew they weren't going to drown or anything. Good.

"Okay, I'll give it a try" she said, with a smile, "Engorgio!" and she pointed out...to...

Ummm, sadly, the chain thing that kept the round metal things together was the only thing that grew in size, making the handcuffs heavy somehow. "Oops...let me be more accurate" she said, blushing a little.

"Engorgio!" yet again, and...she waited to see if the charm had worked...

OOC: Your turn

"Oh, hey... I'm going to keep the rope," Copernicus tucked his wrist, hand, and rope bracelet inside his robes so Raiden wouldn't feel the urge to start cutting things off his body. Fingers, toes, whatever... Cope wanted to keep them.

The wind and sleet picked up, blowing around them in the classroom. Ugh. Something to make it harder to see which limb was being sliced off. Awesome. "No offense to either Miss Hopton or yourself, Raiden, but I'm sort of... unavailable."

Daniel was about to conjure the releasing spell to Lettie when a strong wind blew the tent away and snow was falling in the middle of the classroom. He looked at Lettie and said, "Do you want a coat?" of course she wants one, it is cold.

Daniel then pointed his wand to Lettie and ordered, CASACOS APARECEM and a coat appeared on her arms. He then pointed the wand on himself and said CASACOS APARECEM and a brown coat appeared and he quickly put in on.

As for the wind, Daniel pointed again to the sky and yelled, IGLU APPARAIT a half dome igloo appeared just for wind protection andfor them to concentrate.

"I'll try." Lettie replied politely as she repaired the rope as best she could with her wand and tied the knot again, binding her and Daniel again together. Her knot was much different however, it was surprisingly neat, but the center had a bulk of rope that seemed to separate both people.

She tugged on the rope to make sure that it was fastened correctly. Once the girl got no loosening of the knot, she pulled Daniel over to the side of the tent and stuck their hands out so that the rain fell down on their arms that were bound. "I just wanna see what the spell does when it comes in contact with rain."
Pointing her wand-tip right to the rope, Lettie used her spell again, "Relashio." She said quietly and watched as several red and orange sparks came out in a narrow jet and hit the rope in the middle of the knot. Once the spell came into contact however, the rain hitting the sparks was immediately turned into steam, which rose into the air in a loud *hiss*.

"Neat." Leticia couldn't help but say as she watched a cloud of steam rise to the ceiling and then disperse. She continued to use the spell on the knot until it had broken all the way through, and made it possible for Lettie to pull on the rope and break the remaining bind.
"That was fun." She said to Daniel with a smile as she stood under the tent again and started to examine the frayed and somewhat singed pieces of rope.

Daniel looked at what the spell had done and nodded, "Ahh yes, that was indeed neat." he said but then he motioned for her to put on the coat before she got sick. He then leads her to the igloo he had conjured to avoid the wind.

Hmph. Normally that may have worked. She was wondering for a moment about what to do, with another spell. What if they used force to get rid of it, but with less force in their voice? o_O If that made ANY sense whatsoever.

"We may be able to use Expulso to delete a part of the chain at a time, again without aiming it at either of us," she suggested. "With less force behind it, there's a bigger chance that it can delete two or three pieces of the chain at once."

She pulled her wand back out again and made sure it wasn't pointing at either of them or at any other students. So what if Lawson got a few holes in his wall - he could repair them.

"Expulso," she said gently, watching two of the chains melt away before her. "Woahhh. Well, now that that worked, let's try it again. Maybe we should try to free our hands first."

She once again titled her wand away from her or Anna, but placing the wand at the bottom of her wrist, pointing down. Once she thought it was in the right position, she cast the spell once more. "Expulso," she said, just as gently as before. Two chains melted off of her and down onto the floor, but she jumped as it burned her slightly. "Ahh, not too bad," she said, examining her tiny burn.

WHAT THE - her hair was going to get messed up. What was happening? She squee'd for a moment, trying to figure out what exactly to do. People were conjuring umbrellas, tents, and with some of them the rain or whatever it was had been just running off. Ahh.

"Don't freak out, I'll do this fast," Karma said, pointing her wand at Anna. "Impervius!"

Wheee, the water was running smoothly off of Anna, and she hoped she had gotten it just in time before she got too wet. She turned her wand towards her stomach, and "Impervius!" was heard again.

Glancing over her shoulder, she saw Lawson cracking up. EVIL MAN. Evil. Maybe she would move herself to the Anti Lawson list now.

William was just about to perform the spell when the rain began happening. It soaked him within seconds and he shivered just before cordova made the rain blow around them. "cool, thank mate. don't need a col my birthday is tomorrow." He joked before turnign back to the case at hand, their entwined wrists. "Okay, so Relashio I'll try first." He muttered, more to himself than to Corvoda. giving his wand a stern flick and swish he said "Relashio!" pointing the tip of his wand to the chain. The spell shot out before bouncing to the tabeletop. "Oops, okay guess that's not going to work." He said shrugging.

Stretching his shoulder he looked at the chain again frowning this time as he glanced at the rain, which suddenly turned to snow and ice. the wind began blowing, which seemed to penetrate through the charm Cordova had completed. Being so thin William stumbled, nearly tripping over his shoes as he tried to keep standing. He needed better support than what he had right then. "Okay, I can handle a litt...little snow." he stuttered standing tall. "Perhaps you should do the Congrino spell though." He added, knowing the older boy knew how to do it better than he did.
