Satine shook her head at this comment, "Well I think that's one of the things of working with a group...everyone in here can have their own opinion, so I don't think it would be too horrible to question what someone put on their list...I mean it wouldn't bother me atleast..." she looked over some of the other lists and agreed that some of them the professor had actually said wouldn't work, so she began reviewing her lists just in case...

What with everyone seeming to know exactly what to do, Fyo’s rather dreamy nature felt out of league, around here. He looked at Anna again, a little unsure and absolutely unable to grasp who was tackling which subject, and with whom.

“Err – can I work on Arithmancy, then?” he asked her.

Rachel was busy writing down the various inventions and discoveries people had written down and didn't pause when Reid began talking, although she nodded to show that she was indeed listening. "That's a pretty good idea," she said and made a big show of finishing up her list by adding a fancy ending to the 'Y'. "Although I just wrote all of the entries and added a little more of my own without the question mark - when we go through them all together, then we will see which ones we'll keep and which ones we'll chuck," she added and blew on the ink gently to dry it.

Putting her parchment aside, she took his in her hands and quickly read over what he had written. I was right - this guy is tidy... "Erm, I don't know about the food part - I can see why 'cages' but food?" she commented with raised eyebrows as she reached the end of the parchment. "Some of you entries are also present in my list - here, look through that and tell me what you think," she said and handed him her own parchment.

"Sure, Fyo. Arithmancy is all your's!" Anna exclaimed, with a smile. "Does everyone have a subject assigned to them? I do believe we're still missing...hmm...Ancient Runes. Fyo, do you think you could possibly grab a partner and take care of both? Trixie (XxX.BettingOnMe.XxX) doesn't have a partner yet. Maybe she'd be able to do those with you." Anna glanced at the list of subjects and who they were assigned to, then said, "No one's done Muggle Studies. Daniel and I will take that one then, if that's okay with everyone else."

"Alright, Daniel," Anna said, moving to take a seat by him. "I'm terribly sorry you've had to start on your own. I was attempting to help out groupmates get a subject assigned to them. Do you mind if we take on Muggle Studies, as well?" Anna pulled out a quill and a fresh piece of parchment and began to work on some extra ideas.

"Alright, Daniel...how's this look?" she asked, passing him her parchment. I've included your ideas in here, as well."

"Sure thing Anna," said Trixie whilst beaming. She walked up to Fyo and said "Hey there, I guess I am your parnet. You're doing Arithmancy right well I am for Ancient Runes." Now that subject was a tricky one so she was to sit down and think.

“Nice to meet you. I’m Abby Wright.” Abby looks over Satine’s list. “You did a great job of copying what the student’s said in class, but we need to edit the lists so they are more in line with what Professor Truebridge wants. You see, he wants us to list inventions, devises, theories, and discoveries. He doesn’t want us to list charms, hexes, jinxes, curses, or potions. I’ve trimed down your lists to what we can use and added some additional items that fit Professor Truebridge‘s requirements.”

I’m not sure about the specific quills, Anti-Cheating Quill, Auto-Answering Quill, Hogwart’s Magical Quill, Quick Quote Quill, Smart-Answer Quill, Spell-Checking Quill, and Umbridge‘s Detention Quill. Do you think they fit Transfiguration? I also have a question about Inferis. They are dead bodies that have been turned into zombie-like creatures, but I’m not 100% sure they qualify for Transfiguration. Same thing with a Vanishing Cabinet. I know the cabinet at Hogwarts connects with a cabinet at Borgin and Burkes, but didn’t people end up in other places after being shoved into the cabinet? I think a Deluminator fits Transfiguration better than DADA. I know wands are used in Transfiguration and DADA, but we use them to perform charms, hexes, jinxes, and/or curses. Professor Truebridge said we should place items in only one category. I think, considering what a wand is used for, it would be better to list it under Charms. It is sort of an umbrella that covers all magical spells. Necromancy deals with Divination. I think it should be under that category. I moved the Mirror of Erised from DADA to Transfiguration. The mirror takes our fondest wishes and make them a moving picture. That sounds more like Transfiguration rather than DADA. Sorry for being so long winded.

Satine looked over Abby's list and the changes made to her list. She felt a little frustrated, because she had just kept a running list of everyone's suggestion in the class even some of the ones the professor had said yes to, but she understood Abby's reasoning behind them all...she just felt like her ideas had been all thrown out and squished...but I guess she was new to this...

With a smile she said, "Well so I guess that means our official list should be the things still left on mine added to yours...so something like this..."

Satine had added a couple of extra to each category and hoped they would be kept there so she felt like she had contributed a little bit to the group work...

Daniel smiled, "That's alright, Anna. A leader's job is never done once you've started it." He then nodded about Muggle studies, "It is fine with me. Although I might say that I have limited knowledge about Muggles."

He then looked at the list that Anna had updated.

Daniel put some lines on the list that Anna had made but he is not sure if they are correct. "Anna are this possible?" he said pointing from teh Ford Anglia towards the Hogwarts Train.

ArithmancyYay! Less confused, and beginning to settle in, Fyo gave Anna a small, grateful smile. This girl was a life-saver! Well, helpful enough at any rate.

"Thanks," he said, looking around to see who , and where, Trixie was. "I'd love to do Ancient Runes, too." GET ME OUT OF HERE! Ancient Runes scare me!

Anna glanced down at the list she'd made earlier. Thirteen subjects were taught here at Hogwarts, and...one, two, three...twelve were accounted for. Then what was missing, and was it being done somewhere? "Hey, guys...anyone doing Herbology? If not, that's the last subject left to be claimed."

Anna gave Daniel a polite smile, then glanced down at the parchment he was showing her. "Oh, great additions, Daniel. I'm glad you thought of those," she said, tapping the parchment and pointing out his additions to Muggle Studies. "It looks like we've got a really good list here, and I think we've included all our classmate's ideas, too." Anna glanced around the corner area, watching her groupmates as they, too, worked to get their lists done. Shouldn't be too much longer, and they'd be through.

Satine looked at Anna, "I don't mind putting together a list for Herbology...I'm not very familiar with it but I can research and read really well...and I'll make the list and ask for everyone's opinion."

Hearing Anna’s voice, Fyo looked around. Herbology? Well, he liked Herbology. Sort of. And there wasn’t much to do with Arithmancy and Ancient Runes anyway, though he did hope to expand the Arithmancy list.

He never had a chance to claim the subject - Herbology, not Arithmancy - though: Satine beat him to it. He gave the girl a small smile, then returned to his own lists.

"Alright, Satine. Thanks for volunteering!" Anna exclaimed. She marked Satine's name down on the parchment next to the subject of Herbology. "...and with that, all subjects are accounted for. As soon as we're all done with our smaller lists, we can compile them all together into one master list for the professor. Then we can rejoin the class and present our list to him." Anna was quite proud of the little group in the corner. They'd all really worked well together to get the lists made as quickly as possible.

Satine reread her list and then placed it in front of everyone to review it..."Okay guys take a look at this list and tell me what you think...but please don't butcher it so much that it bleeds," she finished smiling....

"Does anyone have anything else we need to add to it....any suggestions would be great!"

Abby looks at Satine's face as she talks. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to take over things. I'm just trying to make a list that is what Professor Truebridge said he wanted. I know this class has been difficult. He really hasn't explained too well what he's looking for. Professor Truebridge just doesn't seem to be his usual carefree selft. How about a compromise? Okay? We add some spells to the list too, and we discuss what I've put on the list. I also still need your input on the things I suggested that I'm not sure of. Still friends?

Satine look at her new friend and smiled, "No you're fine...we're still friends...Once I sat back and looked at your ideas I just realized yours were more detailed than mine...I learned tons from your list..." looking at the list and the questions she had on it she reviewed, "I completely think that we should include each of the quills because they all have an important part in the subject...and I agree about the Inferi I was questioning that one too, but had just copied it down off of another student's list of ideas they had mentioned....but I agree with all of the moving around..." thinking about wands..."I think we should leave wands off just because I think it's a pretty much given invention for all subjects...I mean we couldn't do much without them...I mean how boring would magic be without wands..." she laughed at that thought....

"Overall, I think if we add the quills our lists will be pretty rockin"....she put her hand up to give her new friend a high five.

"Thanks. I know I can be bossy sometimes. I'm new at this working together and having friends.

"Okay we have the DADA and Tranfiguration list complete. Do you'll need help with any of the other lists?"

"I know which is why I questioned it. I suppose they need food, but the only thing I can think of to relate it would be if we said the way in which we preserved food or the combinations of food we mixed together for them to eat." Reid said while taking her parchment into his hands. His eyes scanned the list quickly and thoroughly. "Hmm I'm not sure about all the Potions we have on the list. I mean they are inventions but the Professor did say that he would rather we focus on ingredients rather than the Potions themselves." he said softly, going back over his own list, which was considerably shorter than his partners. Then again it wasn't his fault that there weren't that many discoveries or inventions we it came to Care of Magical Creatures.

"All in all I think the lists are good enough, I mean there are probably more inventions and things but more will probably be added when we all come together anyway." Shrugging slightly Reid began to chew on the end of his quill while trying to think of more things for Care of Magical Creatures.

"The preservation of food does sound a lot better than just food - all right, just add that in," Rachel nodded in agreement at Reid's proposal. But didn't the muggles first discover, or invent, the first air-tight packs? Or was there a spell before that which did the same trick? The fifth year bit her bottom lip as she thought, slightly miffed that she didn't know these things.

Oh - he's talking again. Quickly switching her focus from her thoughts to the current conversation, she listened carefully to what the boy said and nodded sagely, this time partially agreeing. "While I agree that the Professor asked for ingredients more than potions, I do think that some of them have to be mentioned - maybe not all the ones I wrote, but definitely some," she said, trying to make her point clear. She just couldn't envision a list about the inventions and discoveries in Potions that didn't contain the Wolfsbane potion, or the Polyjuice potion...

"Yeah the lists are fine - although do you perhaps want to add the food thing in, and maybe take out a few potions too?" she asked, scanning the lists again for any other issues that they could discuss. She liked talking to Reid, he was very precise - always a good quality.

Reid quickly added Preservation of in front of the word food all the while listening to Rachel. "For potions I think that Wolfsbane, Polyjuice, Veritiserum and the Pepper Up potions should be included. But maybe love potions should be left off. I mean I don't see how they help our world in anyway, indeed love potions can make things harder for us." Reid suggested, just to show that he hadn't been critisizing the fact that she had put potions on the list. After all some of the potions were great discoveries that did help their world. Running his hand through his hair he tried to think of any other things that they could maybe add or cross of the lists right now.

Daniel smiled at what Anna had said. He then looked at the list one more time and thinks about something more to include in their list.

He then heard Anna asking if someone wants to do Herbology. "I can help with that" he said, referring to whoever will do Herbology.

"Yeah, me too," Rachel agreed and quickly dipped her quill in the ink pot so that she could cross out some items. "Well, how about the book 'Moste Potente Potions'? I don't think it should be on the list," she added as an afterthought as she read the list once more. Having coursework books in a list about important discoveries and inventions just didn't seem right - if it was a really famous book like the Tales of Beedle the Bard which have important historical significances, but this is just a book. A scary, slightly crude book - but a book, nevertheless.

Satine smiled at the boy, "Howzit, I'm Satine! Here's what I've put together so far, but I'm new to Herbology so let me know if I've forgotten anything or if you think something shouldn't be on the list....don't worry about being constructive just please don't make the page bleed with all of your corrections," she finished with a wink.

Daniel extended his hand to shake the girl's hand. "Daniel. My name is Daniel." Daniel took the list. "Pretty impressive." he said looking at the list.

He quibbled some additions and crossed some out. "But between you and me. I never liked Herbology that much" he said whispering to the girl.

"Let us see if Anna can add something into our list." he said looking at Anna hoping she can add more into it.

"I'm pretty rubbish at it too but I will do my best," Trixie replied just as shyly. Gosh she didn't want people to think of her as in idiot. She took the list and added to it.

Trixie looked at the list again. She wasn't even sure if these were correct. "Here this is all I got so far," she said giving Fyo the list.
