Isabella suddenly sat straight at the name of Mr.Potter. she always wanted to know more about the history of her magical world which her mum was not allowed to talk about by her dad.
"was it?" Bella said to herself "but who is this Umbridge?" she said to herself again.

Julie noticed the girl who sat straighter at her words but she decided not to comment. She smiled at the girl and faced forward as the girl mumbled under her breath.

Nifflers were fun when Jule was younger but now she knew they were vicious too. "why do shiny things make them go crazy?"

Karma was very excited about the lesson, and then she heard her name. Hmm, who was that? She looked around, not seeing anyone yet.

OH. Of course, it was Emiliano. Her BFFL. Yaaay. She happily skipped over to him and sat down next to him. Then, she raised her hand to answer.

"Nifflers are also creatures who can be very snuggly, so good for pets. But, they can also become slightly dangerous if there are too many shiny objects around. They seem to have ADD."

Giggle.

Divad nodded at Jule's question. "Yeah, why do they go crazy?"

Gah! What else was there to say about Nifflers? Nearly everyone in the class had something to say and, quite honestly, Mariel didn't think there was much more to add to the subject. She stared at the creature in Professor Morgan's arms for a moment. Oh, right. Raising her hand the third year said, "Their front paws are flat and shaped like spades which I suppose makes it easier for digging."

"Aren't Nifflers supposed to be all playful and such? My dad told me that they were always nice to him..." Divad added.

"they probably are unless they are shiny things. Which I still don't understand." said Jule, still confused about nifflers.

"Very good class!" She said, as the students spouted off the characteristics of the nifflers one by one. "Okay to recap for any of you taking notes..." She paused here letting them know she thought that to be a very good idea. "Nifflers are black fluffy long-snouted creatures that burrow in dirt as if it were water. Although nifflers are gentle and even affectionate, they are strongly attracted to anything shiny, which can make them difficult to control. They can be very useful for finding treasure, and are often kept by goblins for this purpose. Nifflers are native to Britain. They live in lairs up to 20 feet underground and have litters of 6 - 8 young." And yes, They can sometimes resemble the groundskeeper, she thought, smirking at Jake.

"Okay now class, for most of today's lesson, we are going to have ourselves a little treasure hunt. In this paddock I've buried a number of coins and other such shiny objects. I want you to get into pairs and try to collect as many as you can. The group with the most coins when I call time wins 5 house points each. Once everyone has a partner, I'll let the nifflers out."

As an afterthought, she added. "Any questions before we begin?"

Naomi purked up at the mention of a treasure hunt. "No professor." She said with a smile. "Well actually one. Are you going to put us in partners or do we have to find our own?" Naomi thought I might have some trouble if we pick our own cause I dont know anyone here.

Divad wanted those house points, so he got excited fast. "No Professor." Divad said kindly.

Kel nodded slowly as he copied down all that Professor Morgan had said, and set his quill, ink bottle, and parchment in his bag. When Morgan continued talking, Kel frowned. This is what Mariel had talked about - partners. Ugh. But...he'd heard her voice, she was in this class!

He looked around the room, looking for Mariel. He caught site of her and widened his eyes, hoping she understood that he was asking to be his partner. But he didn't want to say anything, in case he got in trouble for talking. He quickly turned around and shook his head. No, he didn't have a question.

Due to the lack of parchment, quills and ink, Clifford hadn't been able to write down any notes. Nope, he'd just have to trust his memory.. which quite frankly, wasn't too great. Homework was going to be good then. SNORT.

But this sounded FUN! Searching for coins and shiny stuffs!? WHEEE!!

"Partners?" Clifford whispered with a grin, turning to Evangeline who was sitting beside him. They'd have to choose the bestest treasure-hunting niffler. Yup!

Treasure Hunt.... Well, that should be interesting. Laura grinned. No, she didn't have a question, she just wanted to get started!

But first, she had to find a partner...

Jake raised his hand, still amused by the smirk aimed at him. "Is there any chance that there's shiny stuff that you haven't buried? Like, that just happens to be there? And if so, how are we supposed to know?"

Like... the shell of an old snitch? A relic of a shiny silver making factory? Accidentally dropped money?

Looking around Ott wonders who could be his partner

Partners? Again? Right I hope Mariel doesn't mind me asking her. "No questions,Ma'am," she remembered to say before searching for her friend amongst the students.

"Mariel!" she called."Hey,do you want to be partners?"
Please say yes,I don't know anyone else in the class.

"Do...we get to keep the coins?" Vanessa giggled, as she grinned at her favourite teacher. She was obviously joking.
She turned to find Miles. "Partners?"

Jude's face lit up, a TREASURE HUNT?!?! Boy, he hadn't had one of those in ages!!! He quickly replied, "Neh, neh quextions professah," and looked around. Who needed a partner???
Raiden... probably with Kiri. Who else did that leave that he knew?

Satine looked around the classroom and then raised her hand as she watched the others get into partners really quick, "Professor," seeing the Professor's question in her eyes, "It's Satine..." she said to reassure the Professor of her name.. "Could you help some of us partner up...I can't really tell who needs a partner?" she said with a smile as she looked around helplessly.

As Miles got excited, he scooted over to Vannie. And as she asked him first, he smiled. "Sure!" TEAM VANILES.

He liked it.

looking up from the notes that she was taking, Ash looked around for somebody that wanted to be her partner and said "No professor, no questions here"

Oh, a treasure hunt! Anna knew Professor Morgan had something exciting up her sleeve! Hmm...coins, shiny objects...those shouldn't be too hard to locate with nifflers around! Or, well, at least Anna didn't imagine they would be. Only time would tell, though. Not having any questions, Anna began looking around for someone to pair up with. Hmm...now who would be a good partner to have for a niffler scavenger hunt?

Simone blushed a little, but she needed a partner, and Professor Morgan would so love it if she paired up with jake, so she stood up and walked over to him.

Tapping him on the shoulder she asked, "Um..Jake? Is it ok if we are partners? I dont know very many people." She blushed a bit more at that confession. MAN when was she going to get a hold on her embarrasing shyness!

Thomas didn't have any questions but to win the game he needed to find a partner. Thomas looked for a partner and he thought that maybe Laura will be his partner. Thomas went to Laura and asked her,"Laura do you want to be my partner?"
