"Professor mine and Lily's niffler found 10 coins, a picture frame, some broken necklaces, and a goblet charm for a braclet" Ash said walking up to the professor and handing her the pouch that held the treasures that the niffler found.

Satine grabbed Kel and her's Niffler, Precious, and took it back to the Professor. "Professor, Precious did an amazing job. I know we are both very proud of her." As the Professor put Precious up, Satine counted up their amazing treasure..."Precious found a plethora shiny items...she found two rings, three earrings, a variety of screws and bolts and nuts, seventeen coins, ten coke tabs, four foil balls, a small goblet with some pretty cool markings on it," then she reached in her pouch and pulled out what she was most proud of, "and a random spoon that she was especially proud of..." then a thought hit her..."Professor, will we be able to come down and visit and play with Precious and the other Nifflers...I mean would that be a possibility?" she asked as she smiled.

Aww did she have to give Jelly back already? He was just soo cuteee, she wanted to keep him. She picked him up and brought Jelly to the Professor. "Awww Professor, is there anyway that I can keep him?" she asked, half jokingly and half seriously. Then, she looked down at Jelly, and pet him. "Bye Jelly! I had tons of fun."
She counted the coins that Jelly had found. They had found about 20, which she thought was a pretty good amount.

"Don't worry." Celandine answered, "Animals like me. If the Groundskeeper didn't bite me, why would this niffler?" It was almost an 'I-know-what-I-am-doing tone but had a touch of leave-me-alone to it.

Oh they were done? Good. Celandine waited to be told she could leave.

Sammy the Niffler in hand, Anna strolled from the back of the paddock to the front, where Professor Morgan was ready and waiting for the little nifflers to be brought safely back to her. She felt sort of sad returning the little guy (as she tended to get a bit close to animals) but with an owl, a crup, and a phoenix as pets already, Anna surely didn't need to bring home a niffler. When she approached Professor Morgan, Anna stopped for a moment to pet the fluffy lil guy in her hands, then she held the niffler out to the professor. "Sammy's quite the little coin catcher, Professor," she said, with a laugh. "We've enjoyed him."

That being done, Anna led Brant and Chloe to the center of the paddock to count the coins they'd retrieved. At last count, the group had made it to eighteen, but then again, Sammy had brought back quite a few items on his last run around the paddock. Anna carefully began to count the coins they'd dumped securely into their pouch. "One...two...three..."

Abby stuns her niffler, so he can't go back to digging. She gently places him in the soft dirt. Abby then pulls a bag out of her book bag and gathers up what the niffler has dug up. Once she has it closed, Abby grabs the niffler with her left hand and then removes the stunner spell. The niffler squirms in her hand. "I see you're as good as new. Time to go back to Professor Morgan. I'm sure she has some food for you. Poor baby, you must be starved after working so hard." Abby collects up her bags and walks over to where the cages are. "Here he is Professor Morgan."

Daniel moved towards the Professor, "Professor, here is the little cutie." he then handed over the niffler to the professor. He then looked at the things he and the niffler had seen.

He counted. "Professor, My niffler got 15 galleons, 2 keys, a rusty one and a seemingly new one, a medallion of some sort and some muggle coin." he said looking at the medallion.

Dani walked over with Gregorio and set him with the others. Then she looked at the small pile of golden shinys in her hand. Two coins, a key, and a painted rock. It wasn;t much, but she loved that cute little furball. She hoped they would get to use nifflers again sometime.

Jack smiled. "I'm Jack Fritzera, Professor. So, he's a boy? Cool--I thought he felt more like a boy than a girl," he said with a grin. He scooped up Saturn in his arms and motioned for Reese to follow him.

"So, we have 21 items--17 coins, and then 4 other random things," he said to Reese, shaking the bag around and grinning again. "I think Saturn did a pretty good job, don't you?" he asked. He was kind of sad that he had to give the niffler back, but he couldn't keep EVERY animal he encountered this year. After all, he already had a stowaway frog in his dorm, and he was pretty sure Saturn would be a TEENSY bit harder to look after.

Reese followed Jack, since he was motioning her to follow him. "21 items... and we only needed 20, right?" She asked, trying to think back at what Professor Morgan said before they started the treasure hunt. She nodded towards Jack. "Saturn did do a good job. Well, you know, he actually did a wonderful job," she said, looking at the little niffler in Jack's arms.

She started walking towards Professor Morgan. She really didn't want to give Saturn back. He was just too cute and fluffy. But, she already had 3 animals to take care of. Well, she had two animals to take care of while she was at school, then when she went home she had three. Since, she kept her dog at home while she attended school. "So, erm, Saturn..." She stopped walking when they were a few feet from Professor Morgan and looked down at the little niffler who looked like it was getting all comfortable in Jack's arms. "I'm going to miss you little guy," she said as she smiled at the little guy. She really wasn't expecting the niffler to say anything, but she just wanted to say goodbye, because that felt like the right thing to do.

Copernicus scooped up the niffler with relief, taking it to Professor Morgan for collection. "Thank you, Professor. I appreciated the lesson," he told her politely.

Cope returned to Cela and offered her the pouch. "Do you want to count these?"

George smiled "Okay... Jake" he nodded and then watched as Jake tried to get his earring back

Wanting to giggle at the professor's reaction, George put his hand over his mouth and cleared his throat. Smiling at the professor, he bowed his head a little.

George nodded "Okay" he smiled back at her. Watching her with the niffler interestedly, he seemed to relax a little. "Umm... me?" George asked his eyes suddenly wide with fear "But.. what if he attacks me or tries to bite me or something?" George asked, his hand over his mouth "No, maybe another day, I think I've done enough today" he smiled. Well.. he'd stood there with a load of nifflers running around him and he hadn't run off screaming. It was an achievement for him.

Jude, hugging the niffler close to his chest, got up and walked towards the professor and the nifflers' cages. Kiri counted the coins silently as she followed. They, that is to say their niffler, had found eleven coins and one or two pieces of tarnished metal, whatever those had belonged to before.
The niffler was handed over, then Kiri showed Jude what they had found. Compared to the coin counts of some of the students, they hadn't done so well, but Kiri acknowledged that impassively.
"Right," she said, "err, Professor, we have found... eleven coins. And some scraps of metal."

"Not really." Celandine told him with a shrug. "I have plenty of galleons."

She sorta vaguely knew that she'd have normally been totally keen for this class, but everyone had off days, right?

Trixie was sad about this. "Professor it's a boy...called Gambit," she said giggling lightly. She handed him over to her reluctantly. "I wish I could see him everyday,"she breathed. She then made her way to Tiffany again.

Laura walked up to the Professor and handed the Niffler back. She really didn't want to part with it, it was beautiful, and oh so lovely.


"Well, my Niffler found about thirty silver coins, three gold ones, two necklaces and some bits of shiny metal." Laura said. She'd accidentially said 'my' instead of 'ours', but it didn't really matter. Thomas was nowhere to be seen and well, she was more bothered about leaving the Niffler. She didn't want to part with it!

Victoria walked up the professor with her niffler and bag of coins and says:

"Our niffler found 10 gold coins, 5 silver coins, a piece of tin and ring" she wondered who the ring belonged to.

Shaking her head, the professor couldn't help but laugh. "Give it up Jakey. Its never going to happen." She said, taking the niffler from his hands. One thing was for sure. He was persistent.
"That's wonderful Naomi." She said. "But I never want you to feel bad for doing a great job. Don't worry about the others. I'm very proud of you."
"Twenty-four, that's fantastic. Good job you two."
"You hang onto that pouch a little longer, dear." She said, with a wink. She had no intention of taking all their findings.
"Absolutely Satine. In fact, there are lots of animals in the Magical Creatures Sanctuary that would love some extra attention. Feel free to stop by anytime." She nodded with a smile.
The professor laughed again. That girl sure loved her nifflers. "Allie, don't you already have your hands full with Bugsy?" She asked.
"I'm so glad to hear it, Anna." She said, taking the niffler in hand and giving him a scratch behind the ears.
"Thank you Abby." She smiled at her and took the niffler off her hands.
"Haha, they are adorable aren't they?" She pet his head. "Very good Dan! You've done an excellent job today."
"Lovely to meet you Jack." Taking Saturn from him, Iliana nodded. "He did wonderful. And so did you."
"You're welcome Copernicus." And then she remembered. "Umm, Cope I'd like to see you and Cela sometime after class. Do you think you could meet me in the stables tomorrow?"
"Great Kiri, wonderful job." She smiled.

After ensuring that each niffler had been secured in their cage, Professor Morgan sat down in the grass in front of her students. "Alright now, class gather around." She motioned them all closer. "WOW! You've all done so well and found so much. I think most of you have discovered just how much fun it can be having a niffler around." She still held onto the belief that experiencing these wonderful creatures helped promote awareness.

"Since there isn't a clear winner here AND because all of you did such an amazing job, I've decided to determine this contest a tie. Five points will be awarded to EACH house." She gave a little joyous applause before continuing. "Okay then for homework:

"Please bring your coins up to the front and hand them to me." They were her nifflers' exercising-coins after all. "Anything else that you've found, is yours to keep. Be fair and share with your partner. Class dismissed."

Trixie was upset since the lesson had ended. She handed the Professor all the coins her little boy Niffler Gambit had collected. She saw alot of people leaving the class but she hung back. She walked up to Professor Morgan and said "Would it be okay if I could visit Gambit once in a while?" She looked over at Gambit who was just scrabbling about in his cage. She smiled at him.

Satine was excited that they could come down anytime they wanted to, "Thanks Professor! This was a really fun lesson....I can't wait for the next one...and thanks for the house points!" Satine grabbed her bag and ran after her friends already headed back to the castle.

Leaving Clifford to deal with the niffler - he seemed to be saying goodbye or something - the female Prefect strolled up to the Professor's desk, hands crossed behind her back. "Ma'am ..." She started, anxiously looking up at the woman. She had seen the look the woman had given her after seeing her little silver ring, and the five little diamonds on it. "Can I please have my ring back now? It has a high sentimental value." And galleon-y too, she supposed.

"Pardon?" Copernicus turned back to the professor and gave her a little nod. "Oh, of course. We'll see you tomorrow." He gave Cela a concerned look.

Abby sits down in the grass and empties her bag out. She divides everything up and counts her booty. Abby then takes out a piece of parchment, quill and ink, and makes a list of what her niffler found.
