Divad followed Jule. "Why do you feel empty?" Divad whispered.

"I had to take mine off for this class." she said and 3 more coins popped up. "That's umm...how many?"

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!! RUUUUUUUUUN!!!!!

That was indeed the thought in Evangeline's mind as a little of those monster came running towards them. Yes, RUNNING! And tackled Clifford! Who most likely was now full of diseases. Ack! She knew she should've brought an anti-septic of some sorts. But at least that Niffler also brought coins with it, so it was somewhat okay.

As long as they got those five points. Mwahaha!!

"That they are.." Evangeline replied in agreement, surprised to find a small smile tugging at her lips as she watched the little thing dig up at the dirt. Did she .. think they were cute?! Quickly shaking those thoughts from her head, Evangeline grabbed the pouch Clifford had put the coins onto and stood up. "come on!! We cant lose him!" And with that, she rushed over to where their niffler was. EE!

Ohhhh no, they were starting already and- and the Hufflepuff girl was still left with no partner. This was BAD, bad, BAD!

Of course, there were hardly any nifflers left either...Hmpf and she didn't wanna sit out. Nuh-uh.

Melanie could here angels singing as she, looking around frantically for a partner, caught sight of someone with a niffler, but no partner...and a few coins already too. the brunette slid out of her seat eagerly, going over to her. "Hey, want a partner?" she asked, giving her a friendly smile, before glancing down curiously at the niffler, who was digging for something.

Shana smiled.Sammy was apparently the nifflers name.Sammy Come on.Over here.Look over here.Shana smiled as the little niffler squirmed over to a bundle of 3 coins.Good Sammy.She ruffled its fur and let it scurry around some more.

Suddenly the niffler started to move much faster now getting all the coins. 1 , 2 5 9 15 24 30 he recited in his head . Jackpot they had hit the jackpot, looking closer at two if the coins it looked more like a lump of gold but who was he to judge.

"Right - we'll just say he's a boy, and if it's a girl then she'll just have to deal with it," Rachel said cheerfully and knelt back down as the niffler came back up. They really are cute... I wonder if we'll be allowed to keep them - probably not, since they're school property. The fifth year grinned at the thought of having a niffler as a pet and waited patiently for it to hand her the shiny thing it had in its hold.

"Sure, if that's ok with you. And yeah, that's a good idea..." she trailed off, nodding and looking back at the fluffy black creature as it dropped two coins in her hand this time. "Here, he bought up two this time," she held the coins up to give to Willow, then carefully picked up the niffler.

Grinning as it lay still in her hand - and looked quite comfortable - she signaled over to a blank patch where not many people seemed to be. "How about there? There aren't too many people," she asked her partner and began to make her way towards the patch, not really waiting for an answer. Once she got there, she lowered the creature back to the ground and watched as it ran around for a few moments before beginning to burrow into the ground. "This area is ok right?" she asked Willow again, a little apprehensive that she had just decided on a spot without her partner's consent.

"I believe that's either eight or nine.. idk though." Divad said to Jule.

"Sure, I am Victoria Jaimeson, I am a first year ravenclaw, you?" Her niffler found two more coins.

"Oh yes and the ring!" Naomi said with a smile. "How many does it have this time?"

The niffler came and dropped what it had and Iris was rather upset to see that there was only one little fragment of metal there, it looked like it was off a fancy broom or something. "ah well..." she said, handing it to Naomi, "go on, go get us loads of gold!" she said to the niffler, and watched it trot off into the muddy earth, Iris then turned to Naomi, "how do they keep them selves nice and shiny. here there are, hondreds of nifflers, diving in and out of the mud, and they all look like they are straight out of the box!"

Iris looked at their collection... "um, i think that is 33 coins, 4 chains, a ring, and this bit of metal." she said, counting, "yeah, that's right." she added with a grin.

"I dunno, I guess the lesson is over when the professor says it is" Ash said watching their little niffler go, "But I kinda hope that we win the points for our houses"

Okay... so their niffler was, like, realllllly stupid. It seemed to be running round and round in circles, on the same place, and then, in a rather comical dive, it disappeared.

"Erm," Jake murmured, tilting his head at the creature. Everyone was somehow getting looooaaaaads of coins which couldn't have been placed there... there was farrrrrr too many... was there cheaters? Hmmm? HMMMMM?.

Oh, and here was their niffler... dragging... a rather large pendant. Um... nice. "Not my style," Jake smirked, reaching down to pick it up and pet the niffler. "But thanks, brah," he added, watching the creature run back off into the dirt.

Hayley's eyes widened in awe as she watched the scene unfold before her. Hot DAWG they'd gotten the SUPERNIFFLER! "Holy CHEESE...." she exclaimed before putting many of the coins in her pouch. Wowzers.

And there he went again! Off like a shot, the niffler was back to digging, dirt flying up in the air, "I think we got lucky," she said to the boy who still hadn't given his name.

Lettie jumped as the niffler leaped onto her lap with a mouthful of lumpy things, dropping the gold colored nuggets into her lap. Leticia sighed and brushed the dirt off, and gave the animal a smile. "Very good job...go on, keep going." As though the animal needed telling twice, it was alread y halfway back to the pile.

"He got four more of these things..." Leticia said as she cleaned them off and dropped them into the bag, which was getting pretty heavy.

Looking back at their niffler, Ott wonders why he's stopped. Looking closer, it seems that he's actually burrowing downward.

Helping a little he digs behind it, to give it more room.

Backing out of the hole, the niffler looks down into it. Leaning over, Ott looks down too. "Lettie look at this..."

Wheeee! This was fun! Clifford didn't know how they were meant to keep an eye on what niffler was THEIR niffler though. They all looked sorta the same. He didn't think following him was any good, not when he was digging under the ground and rolling around in the dirt like that, but Clifford followed Evangeline anyway.

"C'mon buddy, find us some TREASURE!" The seventh year encouraged with a bounce. It seemed to have worked and the fluffy niffler scuttled back and spat out even MORE coins. WOOT!

"Alright! Good job, Sammy!" Anna exclaimed bending down to pet the little niffler who'd just managed to gather them nine coins. Okay, so they were a bit behind some of the other groups, but they'd get there sooner or later. Besides, Sammy was a trooper, and he'd bring them back a ton of shiny objects in no time! With a final pat on the back, Anna released Sammy the Niffler back out into the paddock. She giggled softly as he scurried around, actively seeking out any shiny objects buried by the professor. "Gooo, Sammy!" she called out, clapping her hands and cheerling loudly.

"Oh, look," Anna said to both Shana and Brant, pointing at their niffler. "He's found something long and shiny! I think he might have a necklace!" Anna continued to watch as the niffler scurried around, picking up a few more objects before getting a mouthful and scurrying back over to the group. When he got there, he dropped a long, shiny, gold necklace and three coins only the ground. "Oh, it is a necklace!" she said, dropping all four into the pouch.

Jule followed the niffler and counted the coins. "That's 12 coins and a necklace."

Male Niffler, Female Niffler . . . it didn't really matter, she supposed? As long as He or She did the job properly Willow did not really mind what genre it had. "I guess so. Or we could ask Professor Morgan about it once this is over." And by this she meant the whole competition thing.

Taking the little bag that had two coins now, Willow followed Rachel to the not-so-particularly-crowded place she had chosen. Which was good, because it meant that there were bound to be more coins in here considering that everyone was searching in the same place - which wasn't the place the two of them were standing now. "I wonder how those people managed to get so many coins," she murmured under her breath, eyeing with a frown the students that seemed to have their hands full.

"Oh, look! He or She is coming out a again!" He or She. Nice. "I hope it's something bigger this time." That was unlikely, though, for she doubted Professor Morgan had actually hidden a real treasure.

"I have 13 coins and a pocket watch" she said to her new partner.

"Oh, see, I only guessed." Divad said. "We need a lot more if we're going to catch up those Slytherin girls." Divad informed her.

Ricco could tell the niffler was starting to get tired ut that didnt stop it digging a hole in the ground. As the patch flew over their heads Ricco turned to the girl "Im Ricco" He said just before his niffler came back with 3 more silver coins, Rubbing a bit of mud off of it he put the coins in the pouch. "Thats us up to 49" he exclaimed

"Yeah, it'd be great if we won some points. That'd be a definite plus!"

As the two were chatting and watching the dirt fly, the niffler continued to shovel through the ground at very high speeds. Chunks of earth were flying up and every which way from the hole that it had stared. A small shiny tin box came flying out of the hole moments later. Lily walked over to it and opened the lid, looking at the contents. It contained a multitude of small knick knacks, photos, and other seemingly unusable items.

"I guess this must be related to that picture frame that the niffler dug up earlier. Pretty cool, it's like a time capsule."

"It's been--urgh." Their niffler had been digging into the ground, not just the pile.
Lettie looked down deeper to spot the niffler and shielded her eyes from the flying dirt. "Poor guy's gonna be tired after this." She said and watched the critter crawl out of the hole, dropping another lump of shiny stuff at the students feet. "Hmm." Lettie said as she whiped it off and dropped it into the bag. "At least he's having fun." She said with a smile.
