Hayley hurried to grab a seat up as close to the teacher as she could. Thankfully, she hadn't worn any shiny jewlery, so this was possible for her! |

"How was yours, ma'am?" He asked, not forgetting his manners. And there she was, Karma Atkins...should he invite her or not to sit beside him. "Karma," He called hoping she would get the hint about the invitation. |

Kel looked down at his hands, making sure he hadn't put on a watch or necklace or something. Crap. He had some money in his pocket he didn't realize. Feeling quite stupid, he stood up and walked to where the rest of the students were putting shiny stuff. He dropped his two sickles next to the pile and then went to sit back down. |
"Ok professor" she waited for the lesson to start. |

Walking over to the paddock, George took a deep breath and silently sat down, not wanting to distract the professor in case she got upset or mad. He'd made sure he'd taken off his watch that didn't work and hidden it deep in his trunk before coming to this lesson. Not wanting to risk anything, he wore his robes properly and sat perfectly still. One move could make anyone do anything. |
*glares at my lack of laptop* He had been one of the last few students to arrive, and he had just about tuned in when Professor Morgan mentioned something about shiny objects. Honestly... Jake didn't know what he had on him, and he had just about started to fiddle with the silver ring in his ear, when he realised what he was doing. Grudgingly removing the item, Jake held it awkwardly in his hand, wondering if he really should hand it in or whether he'd forget it later. Nobody even knew he had his ear pierced, so he s-n-e-a-k-i-l-y slipped it into his pocket. |
Bella immediately shut up and turned to face the Professor and waited paitently for the class to begin |
Well that worked too. Taking the coin out of his pocket, he handed it to Professor Morgan, smiling slightly as she waved the niffler's paw to him. Nifflers already equaled awesome in his head, simply because he'd now been waved at by one. "Thank you professor!" he said, turning to see who'd tapped him. Oh Daphne Hopton! He loved Daphne Hopton! Grabbing Kiri's hand, he waved to the Niffler again and followed Daphne, pulling Kiri behind him. She was next to... someone. He didn't know that person. But new friends were always fun! "Hello Daphne Hopton," he chirped, grinning. "Hello Daphne Hopton's... friend. Can Kiri and I sit here with you two?" ...ack. He was dragging Kiri again, and he'd just realized it. He hastily dropped her hand and turned pink. "Sumimasen..." |
It had taken ALOT of time for Evangeline to convince herself that her beloved ring would be safe in the Professor's pouch and even a bigger amount of time for to her to slip it off her finger. Once she finally did, she carefully placed the ring into the Professor's pouch and looked up at the woman, tugging at her lower lip. "Take good care of it, yes?" That didnt feel riiight! Her finger was too light now. with a small sigh, Evangeline walked over to where Clifford was and dropped onto the seat next to his. She better not lose her ring! |
Jack had never cut it THIS close to being late to a lesson before. Scurrying over to the paddock, he joined the group of students as he stopped to catch his breath. He had just run all the way down from the Gryffie common room in record time. He deserved a medal! At least he had remembered to leave all of his shiny stuff in his dorm. Not that he wore jewelry or anything. He wasn't the type to pull off man necklaces. Nope. Instead, he watched as everyone handed in their things and he waited patiently for class to begin. |

Then she noticed a little firstie who looked a little scared. Giving the Professor one more smile, she moved to stand by him. He didn't need to be so scared! |
Naomi left her jewelry with Professor Morgan and returned to the rest of the class. She looked around for someone she knew but no luck. Maybe someone else who didn't know anyone would start talking to her. |
Jude smiled as Professor Morgan greeted him. He simply smiled at her and nodded a bit, taking his place in the middle of the crowd, looking at her with awe. Well... maybe he was looking at the cute little furballs with awe more than the teacher, but it got the point across either way. |
Jack wasn't wearing anything shiny so he waited paitently until the class started. |

(OOC: is it noon? >_> it's 11am where I am so I don't know whether lesson is really starting or not.) |
The professor collected the students' things and grinned. "I know, guys. It's hard to part with them." She felt strange herself, not wearing her pendant. "But class won't last for long and then you'll have them right back." She eyed Evangeline curiously as she handed over her ring. "I'll take good care of it, I promise." She said, pulling the drawstring tight and returning the pouch to her pocket. "Okay class let's begin." She said, sitting on the ground and resting the niffler on her lap. "For today's lesson we're going to be learning about - and handling - Nifflers." She pet the niffler's furry body as she spoke scratching him gently behind the ears. "Now class, I would like each of you to tell me one thing you know about these creatures. Just raise your hand and call your answers out." |

Seeing Iris was already there talking to a purple haired Ravenclaw girl, she went there and said "Hey!" Turning to teacher as she started the lesson, she realised she didn't know anything... She remained silent. |
Clifford raised his hand high in the air. He knew something about nifflers! "They're kinda cute." Did that count? Probably not. "Uhm - they live waaaay under the ground!" Yup. |
Vanessa thought for a second before raising her hand. "Nifflers are often kept by Goblins because they are attracted to shiny objects, meaning that they are good for treasure hunting" |
Naomi raised her hand and said. "I know something Professor Morgan." she said. "They can be very distructive because of looking stuff." |
Raising her hand, Anna said, "Nifflers are furry and black, and they have really long snouts. They're attracted to anything that is glittery or shiny, which is why it wasn't a good idea to wear anything of that nature to today's lesson," she said. "Oh, and the Ministry of Magic classifies nifflers as XXX, which means 'Competent wizard should cope'." She had a few more things she'd love to say, but she thought it might just be best to try and let everyone share something. Maybe later, if there were a few things still left unsaid, she could share some more. |
Shoot I was going to say that! Lily thought. She raised her hand nonetheless, "They usually have around maybe six to eight in a... litter when they have offspring. I don't know if it's called litter or something else." |
