"Woop!" Laura cheered as the Niffler returned to her, carrying anoth coin in its mouth. That made three. The Ravenclaw quicky mover it to another patch of earth.

She watched as it ran back to the pile, nearly diving right in and bumping into another niffler by accident. Leticia chuckled and waited for the critter to come back, meanwhile, she counted the gold.

Reese watched as Professor Morgan counted to three and unleashed, well, uncaged the nifflers. Oh, no! Other people started chasing after the nifflers, claiming them. Her and Jack needed to get one before all the good nifflers were gone. "Come on, Jack!" She called out, grabbing his hand and pulling him with him. Where was a niffler when you needed one? She looked around and spotted a niffler that was about to dig. "I found one," she told Jack, smiling. She let go of his hand and stepped closer to the niffler. Now, they just had to wait for it to find some treasure. Come on, Mr. Niffler. Make us rich!

"ok then," Iris said, as she sat down properly and crossed her legs, and was rather suprised when their niffler came trotting up to her with 6 coins, SIX whole coins a few minutes later. "wow, we did get a good niffler!" Iris laughed, handing over the coins to Naomi, "you might as well keep hole of it all, I'll only lose it." she added as she watched the niffler dive off again.

Great. Groaning under her breath when Professor Morgan docked five points from Ravenclaw, Willow's eyes fized on the talking first years. Now it was her turn to glare.

With one look of disdain at the one who had lost points, she focused her attention on professor Morgan, who had just released the Nifflers. What were they supposed to do now? Catch one? She . . . she was NOT touching a niffler. Nope, she wasn't - but Rachel was. Right? Heh-

"Do you reckon we should go for that one?" Willow asked, pointing to a particularly little niffler that seemed to be about to start digging. "I mean, not for it - for the treasure it is going to find." Ack. They were losing time! So without waiting for Rachel's reply and expecting the girl to follow her, Willow made a beeline towards the said niffler.

Annoying first years... What part of 'not talking in lessons' did they not understand?! She couldn't really believe just how ignorant people can get. When she was a first year, she hadn't so much as squeaked during lessons, why were these ones so hard to handle?

Putting the misbehaving students out of her mind as Professor Morgan released the nifflers, she couldn't help but smile at the cute creatures as they began to dig. "Aww, they're really cute!" she said to Willow as they watched them work, then turned her gaze onto the niffler that her partner was referring to.

Sure enough it was about to start digging. "Fine by me," she said and followed Willow towards the niffler, literally having to restrain herself from cooing at the creatures. "Wait, remember not to approach them too quickly," she warned the girl as they neared the niffler. She was pleased to see that it hadn't run away from them yet, and had in fact began digging it's way into the ground. "Looks like we're good," she commented as she observed the tiny hole where the niffler had been.

Her nifflers found two more coins but they was both silver, she said to Jules "I have found four coins."

Charmante 05-29-2009 08:32 PM

Shaking his head, he looks back down at their niffler. Watching it dig through the dirt as quickly as his little paws get go. He follows it picking up 6 more coins that flew out behind it.

"Dammit," Jake muttered, reaching up to take the silver ring from his ear. Scowling at the nifflers, Jake made sure the earring was in tact before placing it in Professor Morgan's hand. He shot a look to Simone, as if to say, 'These things are good... let's grab one... and... do you have a spare earring?'

Simone smiled at the look on his face and said, "C'mon lets go find us a niffler to follow." If she still had her earrings in should have snuck him one, but she listened to the instructions of the Professor.

"What about that one that pounced on your first, he had a bit of white on his nose." She looked around for him and finally saw him amid the others. "Ah there he is!" She pointed towards him.

"For those of you who already have your creature, get started finding that treasure. Time will be up before you know it."

OOC: Okay guys, calm your charries down please. What I need you to do now, is RP your niffler finding treasure and bringing it back to you. Its what they are made to do so this shouldn't be too hard. Have fun but behave please.

Listening to the professor instructions she walked closer to the niffler they had picked out and waited for it to come to her. "Like this Jake watch him." She watched as the cute little thing scurried over to her. She picked it up swiftly, and cuddled it close. "Cute little bugger you are."

She was excited, and no, she was not afraid to admit. With a smile widening across her face, Anna set her eyes on the professor, still ready and waiting. She nodded when the professor warned them to be careful. Of course she didn't want any accidents. That was no fun. Nope, none at all.

As soon as the professor flicked her wand and the nifflers were free, Anna started to take off and chase after one. However, when she realized that may very well scare the poor little guys, she stopped herself and instead knelt to the ground. Should she call a niffler? I mean, did it come to people like dogs did? Hmmm...only one way to find out. "Hey, little guy," she said, slowly crawling on all fours towards a nearby niffler. "Come now. I'm not going to hurt you." Her hands outstretched, Anna edged closer and closer to the niffler. Finally, just when she thought it may run away, it slipped neatly into her hand. Smiling and standing, Anna hurried over to Brant and Shana. "Alright, I've got one. Now all we have to do is have it locate some shiny thing for us!"

Brant watched Anna grab their Niffler, she was soo cute doing in. She got on all fours and coaxed the Niffler into her arms. Thinking about something totally random he thought Anna would make a good mom. "Good one Anna, lets go over to the edge of the hearth and let him or her loose." Walking to the edge he noticed some students Nifflers going in and out of the dirt like swimming in water and some were slower.

Lord Divadicus 05-29-2009 08:33 PM

"Good going Vicky! Dig Niffler, dig!" Divad cheered on.

Star-Lord 05-29-2009 08:34 PM

"Lucky! we only have 2 so far." she said to Vicky. She then saw a coin pop up. "Make that 3."

She watched the black creature disappear in the soil again, "That makes, um, I dunno how much these would be worth though." She held up the bits of what looked like silver and gold, "Maybe they're worth something...".
Leticia sighed as she watched the niffler, who came rushing back with another coin or two before hurrying off to search for more.

Iliana took the earring from his hand and threw it in her charmed pouch. "You'll be lucky if I return this, you know." She said, but then... there was laughter in her voice. Seeing Jake being trampled WAS rather amusing and maybe punishment enough. Maybe.

...

Then suddenly, with the pouch in her hand, she remembered something important.

"OH CLASS!! Each of you need one of these pouches too. To keep your treasure in. I don't think it would be pretty if the ground became empty and your hands were not." She said, quickly passing a small charmed pouch to each team. Thankfully avoiding disaster. Gee! What was with her lately?

Lily watched as a dusty, but golden picture frame popped up out of the hole that the niffler was digging in. "Alright! We've finally got something! I hope something else is dug up too. Ash, try and catch whatever he digs up!"

ooc: sorry Ash for posting at random intervals. I'm noob at RPG! T.T

Harron Peasley 05-29-2009 08:36 PM

Laura looked around. Thomas had left her on her own with the Niffler. Great. First losing houspoints, now leaving her to do all the work! It didn't matter though, Lauras niffler was doing fine without Thomas' help. It returned once again, carrying two coins. "Yes! Five!" Laura said under her breath.

Star-Lord 05-29-2009 08:37 PM

"The professor said find as many as you can before time's up." she said.

"Where did you find so many coins by now?"

emjay 05-29-2009 08:37 PM

Huh? Mariel was following the niffler she 'claimed' as her own when she turned to see Sarah flying forward and landing on the ground. "Sarah, what-" Mariel did not have time to finish her thought before Sarah pounced on one of the other nifflers, claiming victory. "Sarah!" she half-shrieked with eyes wide. Shaking her head 'no', the third year said, "No, we don't catch the nifflers... we just follow after them and collect what they find. They should bring the treasure to us."

Now where did her niffler go? Mariel glanced around for the creature she had momentarily taken her eyes off. Oh there he was, coming straight for her. Hmm, guess he realized that the third year had 'claimed' him. Holding out her hands in front of him, he spit out a few coins in her palm and took off again.

"Look, Sarah," she said to the Hufflepuff as she showed what was in her hands. "He knows he's ours. Let's follow him around to see what else he'll find." She took a few steps forward as she watched their little niffler dive back into the dirt.

Ash Love 05-29-2009 08:38 PM

looking down at the niffler she and Lily had picked out, Ash noticed that the niffler had plopped down a few coins down inbetween her and Lily. "Good job little buddy, now go back and get some more shineys

Jumping as a girl shouted at him "Me?" he whimpered. "Umm... yes...?" he answered quietly as she smiled. A smile meant she was nice... right? Then he remembered Sarah, she smiled and yet she still managed to scare him. Proceeding cautiously over to the girl, George smiled a little weakly "Hi... I'm.. George..." he introduced himself quietly.

Lord Divadicus 05-29-2009 08:38 PM

"Oh! Dig little fella, dig!" Divad bent down to the niffler. They were rather cute.

EquestrianGal88 05-29-2009 08:39 PM

Lettie grabbed a bag from the professor and placed the treasure inside, "One...six...nine...twelve...and two of these things." She said and dropped what looked like nuggets or something into the bag, along with the bracelet.
She looked down as something brushed her leg and took another two gold coins from the creature. "I'm going to have to get one of these...I can't resist them now." Leticia dropped the coins into the bag and held onto it tightly.

Cute. "I suppose they are fairly adorable, yes." Adorable? Yes. Cute? No. Cute was a bad, bad word that did not exist on Willow Kovac's dictionary. Seriously, the reason why people had to use it so much still boogled her mind.

Right. No approaching them too abruptly. Willow had forgotten that much, for, to be honest, she had been paying that much attention to the instructions Professor Morgan had delivered. Actually, she never paid attention during Care of Magical Cratures. At all.

And to think she'd passed her Care of Magical Creatures OWL exam.

"I don't think he minded that much, really. Actually, I don't think he's aware that we are waiting for whatever it is that he's looking for." Or was it a She? Willow wasn't sure how, but the thing looked like a boy to her. "Ohhh. I think he's coming out with something." It was shiny. Hmmmm. But, since the thing was not completely out of the hole it had digged yet, it was a bit hard to tell what it was exactly.
