Professor Morgan was in a glorious mood this morning as she exited her office door. With a flourish of her wand, she levitated a number of large wire cages, each of which contained 2 or 3 fluffy black creatures with long snouts and flat paws.

With the cages leading the way, Iliana headed down to the paddock. She carefully deposited the cages on the ground and then withdrew a small black pouch from her robes. With a flick of her wand, its contents were instantly deposited beneath the soil. Professor Morgan had instructed the class not to wear anything shiny; she sincerely hoped that they took heed of her advice, otherwise they were going to be in for an extremely interesting lesson.

There was still some time to before the class was due to start so the professor reached down and unlatched the cage closest to her, pulling out one of the black fluffy creatures and cradling it in her arms. Then she leaned up against the paddock fence and began stroking its head while she waited for the first of her students to arrive.

OOC: Class will start shortly, please make sure that you read the CoMC Classroom Rules before attending. I've updated them today in regards to this terms' lessons.

After the niffler had gone back under the ground, Vanessa had remained on the floor, so that the niffler could drop off the coins more easily.
"ooh...we have like 14 now." Vanessa commented, as more coins were dropped in front of her. Stroking the nifflers ears, Vanessa smiled, whilst dropping the coins into the bag.

Iris sat in silence for a little while, naomi not saying anything either, both watching the dirt. The Niffler had been gone for AGES! "oh here he is now..." she said to herself " hey boy , got us lots of treasure?" Iris looked rather dissapointed when just one coin was dropped in her lap, she patted the niffler and said" never mind boy, go on! go find some more!" she then turned to Naomi, "so that's 34 coins, 4 chains, a broken ring, and a bit of metal." whoo!! Iris really hoped they were in the lead

Sarah stopped in her tracks as Mariel called to her. "What? We're not meant to catch them first?" Oh dang,well that was a waste of time.Good job Mariel had already claimed one then because the one she released hadn't come back.
Watching with interest she saw a little Niffler return to them and hand over some coins to Mariel.Beaming at her friend she nodded too. "He does! That's how many?" she asked counting the coins. "7! We've got 7 already! He's goooood."
Sarah practically squealed as it set off again in search of more booty,with Mariel and her in close behind.

After several minutes he returned yet again,mouth full of gold coins. Sarah bent down and picked them up as he dropped them at her feet,before yet again scuttling off towards the trees. "1.2.3.4.5.6......6 more!" She beamed,handing them to Mariel for her to put them safely inside the pouch.Don't want to be losing any.

With a shrug, Evangeline smiled up at Clifford before bending down and getting the three coins their Niffler had brought them, before dropping them onto the small pouch. "Oooh! Look! He's off again!" She told Clifford, closing the pouch and pointing to where their niffler was going.

As the two were chatting and watching the dirt fly, the niffler continued to shovel through the ground at very high speeds. Chunks of earth were flying up and every which way from the hole that it had stared. A small shiny tin box came flying out of the hole moments later. Lily walked over to it and opened the lid, looking at the contents. It contained a multitude of small knick knacks, photos, and other seemingly unusable items.

"I guess this must be related to that picture frame that the niffler dug up earlier. Pretty cool, it's like a time capsule."

"That's kinda awesome" Ash said getting a better look at the little box while a silver goblet flew out of the hole and towards the girls heads. Ash moved the pouch to catch the goblet before it hit anybody

Professor Morgan looked around, happy to see that everyone was having fun. "Alright guys, a few more minutes and then I will be putting the nifflers back in their cages. Is there anyone here has yet to find a coin yet?" She asked.

OOC: If you already have over 20 coins its probably fair to say that your niffler has found all he's going to find. Be realistic please. She deposited a SMALL bag of coins in the soil if you recall. Not all of Gringotts.

The little niffler scurried about again in the same fashion, but then ran in the other direction. "I wonder what hes found us?" She said to both boys, while following the little guy.

Evangeline was right, he WAS off again. "I wonder if these things ever get tired," Clifford wondered out loud as he watched the niffler dive in and out of the dirt piles, burrowing himself here, there and everywhere. He was sure their niffler was acting more hyper than the rest. It was like it was on some crazy sugar rush or something.

"Oooooh, what's this?" As he leant down, the niffler looked up at him through small, beady eyes and spat an old screw in his hand. Eh. "That's not treasure!" Hmpf. But it WAS shiny.

Sure enough, it was coming out. "Willow look!" Rachel exclaimed as the niffler dropped THREE items into her hand and immediately went back down - maybe he found many shiny things down there. "This time it's one coin, a simply golden ring and... a lump - a golden lump," she said and held the items above her head for her partner to see. "Do you think that's pure gold?" she asked, the excitement evident in her voice.

Watched as Ash caught the goblet in the pouch, "Haha nice job! I think our niffler is getting a bit tired with all of this high speed digging."

The niffler was taking a quick break next to the hole, breathing rapidly in order to catch its breath.

Melnaie watched the niffler with interest as he expertly dug his claws into the ground, searching for coins and other treasures among the dirt and rocks. She felt weird, just sitting there while he did all the work... She wanted to help. Melanie wasn't sure what she could do though so she simply sat there, humming a tune as the niffler clawed at the ground, finally unearthing two coins, a sickle and a knut, as well as what looked rather like a bent up pipe.

"Professor?" she began, raising her hand. "Is there anything we can do to help the niffler?" she asked curiously, wanting to help him find some treasure.

Fourteen. Fourteen trinkets was all that Karma had, while the others yelled about the over thirty they all had. Hmph. Ohhh well.

Her niffler came back up one more time, looking tired. She petted the little creature, smiling.

"Good job," she said. "You must be tired now."

It was Brants turn to release and catch "Sammy", He saw the Niffler dive right into the dirt. He seemed to be down there for a long time. Brant was starting to get worried when he saw a little nose poke out of the top layer of dirt. Running its way back Brant knelt down on his knees and petted Sammy, for he brought them a gold coin. "What a good little guy, your doing awesome. Get us some more things little dude." letting him go back to the dirt he waited.

Two minutes later Sammy came back, carrying a ring in its mouth. "Awesome dude, he got us a nice ring" Laughing. Letting Sammy go back again. this time he took, 5 minutes looking around for the last of the treasures. Sammy busted out of the dirt with a nice silver coin and ran towards Brant so fast that Sammy knocked Brant over. Picking up the coin off the ground he counted what the niffler brought back and put it into the pouch. Laughing while getting up.

Ricco gave some of his coins to some of the students that didnt have many before walking over to Professor morgan and handing in his coins "The Niffler is over there miss" he said pointing to the little guy digging again.

Lettie watched and waited for the niffler to come out of his hole again. He'd been down there for ages. "I'm calling him Bandit." Leticia said as the niffler finally came back out, looking around and then jumped back in the soil.
"I think he's almost done." She said to Ott, opening up the bag and taking a peek inside, looking over all their gold bits. "Did a pretty good job though...I think we have over twenty-four coins and other stuff."
