Satine must have been day dreaming because she had no idea what Aaron, Iris, and Mystic were talking about.

"I only know you three." Aaron said trying to bring Satine into the conversation. "Oh yeah, and we met Pablo that day, remember?" He looked at Mystic to make sure that he wasn't crazy. "He was cool. And like I said before, I met the Slytherin Quidditch captain. But you guys are really my only friends."

Aaron looked out the window, the sun was starting to go down. It won't be long now until they are in Hogwarts and being sorted. When will he have to put on his robes?

Iris laughed, "Don't worry about only having us three as real friends mate, we'll meet loads more once we get there." Iris sighed and looked out of the window.

Swallowing the contents of the vial, Raiden shoved the stopper back in and swallowed a few more times to get the taste out of the back of his throat.

"I'm fine, Kiri," he said softly, his fingers closing around the cloth on the chest of the robes he wore. His hand was centimeters from her own, not that he could tell. His other hand pushed the vial back onto his pocket; it missed and landed on the seat, a fact which he didn't notice as he closed his eyes again. "I just had to do something, it's fine."

He listened to Vannie Corbette as she spoke. True, all his friends weren't leaving, but so many already had... he'd gotten that letter from Kayla just after boarding the train, saying she wasn't coming back, and Nicholai had left before that... what if Celandine Toussaint suddenly decided to not come back? What if Kiri decided she was done? What if all his friends just up and disappeared?

"Seeing you in Diagon Alley wouldn't be enough though," he said softly, yawning. "I'll miss all of you, because I won't get to see you all at school. I know I'll have Kiri, and I like Kiri a lot, but I'll still miss everyone just as much."

Dru suddenly became aware of the silence and looked at Irial, who seemed to be lost in his own thoughts aswell. "What's Hogwarts like?" She asked, interrupting the silence

Evolette sat in her very own compartment, petting Muffin's head absently. Okay, so it used to bother her when she was alone, but the more it happened, the more she got used to it.

Hugo had reasons, that much she knew. She understood why he was gone, but Terry and Hugo were inexcusable. Simply terrible. What friends she had. Hah.

Muffin purred loudly and she scratched behind his ears, perhaps she was being rather hard on her friends. But....that's just the way she was.

"Jinx, get back here now!"

Jack hurried down the corridor, accidently running into people left and right, as he chased the orange tabby cat through the hall. As he ran he mentally cursed his younger siblings, Jasmine and Justin, for being so careless as to sit on the cat in the first place and send it on a mad frenzy down the train.

Jinx turned a corner and did one of those weird cat tricks where he squeezed himself into the small opening of a nearby compartment, which contained only one girl inside. Without thinking, Jack opened the door without knocking and snatched Jinx off the seat he had just leapt on, catching his breath now that he had stopped running.

"Sorry...about that...didn't mean to...disturb you," Jack panted, holding Jinx in his arms and the cat struggled to get free. Mad creature, he thought to himself.

Fallon smiled at Satine. She seemed like a really nice person. "I'm fine, but thanks for asking. I'm Fallon by the way." Fallon stepped into the compartment and carefully placed her kitten, Snuggles, cage on the rack. As soon as Fallon sat down, Snuggles began to mew and stick her paw through the front of the cage. "Do you mind if I take her out? She's been cooped up in the cage all morning." She hoped they were okay with this.

I just had to do something? That sounded strange to Kiri, but Raiden insisted that he was fine, so Kiri let it be. And in truth, she was perfectly content just sitting there with Raiden resting on her lap. His heartbeat had, well, changed again. Now it came slowly and regularly. What had that been about? She guessed that it might simply have been because of her hand on his chest. If it had been her, her heart would probably skip a beat or five itself.

"I like you too, Raiden," she murmured.

"It's quite all right." she replied, grabbing Muffin up into her arms and holding him close as a low hiss rumbled in the little kitten's body.

"Muffin." she scolded, swatting at the kitten's nose. "You are being very rude." Allowing her eyes to follow up to the boy's face, she smiled, letting him know that she really wasn't mad.

He stroked Jinx behind the ears, calming him down so he would at least sit still in his arms, when he realized that the girl he was staring at was one of the most beautiful girls he had ever seen. It was taking a conscious effort for him to keep his mouth from falling open in awe, and he was suddenly aware of how stupid he probably looked, standing in the doorway of her compartment with a mad cat just gawking at her like a buffoon.

He tried to make his mouth work so he could at least introduce himself to her, but she was just soooooo pretty he couldn't force himself to form words out of the fear that he would sound like a loony. HELLO! You were talking to her a second ago! It's clearly NOT that difficult! his brain urged him on, and after a few more seconds had past, he finally found the courage to speak again.

"Hi, erm, I mean um..." he blushed as his voice came out all high and squeaky and cleared his throat awkwardly. "I'm uh..." Oh good Merlin, please tell me you did NOT forget your name. "Jack. Jack Fritzera."

Iris watched as Luna cautiously walfed over to the new cat and began purring and nuzzling her nose into the other kitten.

Muffin gave up, content with knowing that that cat before him was not going to attack him. Good. Then he was still the alpha male in this room. Hmpf.

He wiggled out of Evolette's grasp, dropping back onto her lap and stretching out contentedly, casting a glance at the boy who was no longer talking, but staring at Evolette. As if he were teasing the boy, Muffin purred, rubbing his chin across her leg, as she resumed scratching behind his ears.

Evolette grinned, taking in the sight of the poor boy, who seemed to lose the ability to form words. "Lovely to meet you Jack." she replied, reaching up and brushing a few curly strands out of her blue eyes. "I'm Evolette McKenna."

Suddenly realizing that he was still standing in the door, she arched an eyebrow. "Would you like to sit, or do you need to get back?" she asked.

"What's Berdie Bott's Every Flavor Bean? Is it like Jelly Beans?" Aaron didn't know this candy because he only knows the muggle ones.

Aaron looked at another new friend. The more the merrier! "I'm Aaron Anderson. Nice to meet cha!" Aaron looked at the second cat. Avery had gotten used to Luna but Avery started shaking and screeching again at the sight of the new cat.

"Avery!" Aaron said annoyed at his owl. Aaron reached into his bag and got a handful of owl food and put it in her cage. "This'll keep you quiet." The bird imeadietly stopped caring about the cat and started eating. "There we go." He rolled his eyes at the bird. "What's your cat's name?" Aaron asked.

When Iris's cat Luna came over and started nuzzling Snuggles Fallon couldn't help but say. "Aww. Isn't that cute." She looked around at the people in the compartment. "So what year are you?" she said to no one in particular.

They're like jeally beans, but they MEAN every flavour!" Iris laughed. "of Avery shut up will you!" she said to the owl as Aaron gave it some food.

Iris laughed at the two cats, " yeah, it is kinda cute. I'm an 'ickle firstie, as is Aaron, Mystic, and Satine, the girl who's gone to the fodd trolley." she said, pointing to each person in turn.

Iris looked up just as Aaron seemed to be looking away quickly. 'Aaron was looking at her? nah, probably just imagined it, why would he be?.' she thought to herself. " Yeah, what about you Fallon? What house do you reckon you'll be in and stuff..." she said, smiling.

"I'm a first year too." Fallon smiled at everyone in turn. "I'm kind of nervous though. I was all set to go to school in the US and I had everything I needed. Then my mom wanted to move to England to live with my grandma. So this is the first time I've talked to anyone here." Fallon could tell she was talking a lot. She started to act like this when she started to be comfortable around people. She scratched Snuggles behind her ear and the cat started to purr. "I hope to be in Slytherin like my grandma was."
