Anna peered into the window of a nearby compartment, waved to a few friends, then continued her walk throughout the train. Up ahead, she spotted a girl---a very young girl---whom she'd assume was a very upset first year. Anna stilled and watched the girl for a few minutes. Doing so brought Anna's mind far, far away from the train. She thought back to her very first year, when she'd shared a compartment when Xana and her friends. She hadn't known a soul, and she'd been scared beyond belief. She'd remained quiet for most of the train ride to school, mainly because she didn't know anyone, but also because she was afraid to speak up and say the wrong thing. She imagined this little girl probably felt about the same.

Anna continued to think back to her very first year until she felt a sudden hard blow to her left side. Immediately, she was brought back to the reality of her seventh year and wonder of all wonders, the little girl she'd been watching was literally inches away from her. Had she been the one to slam full force into Anna? She didn't know. She'd been daydreaming. Maybe so, though, because the little girl was now apologizing.

Anna smiled warmly and offered a hand to help the girl up off the floor. The girl appeared to have already pushed herself up all on her own, though. "Oh, it's alright. Those things happen. I'm Anna Greingoth, the Head Girl at Hogwart's. Are you one of the incoming first years?" she asked. She glanced down and smiled once again, this time at the rabbit and frog. "That's a nice rabbit and frog you have there."

Anna was then distracted by someone calling to her from a nearby compartment. She smiled and waved at Cam. What was that crawling on his shoulders? ...and what in Merlin's name was he feeding it---or them? Anna turned back to the little girl by her side. "That's my friend Cam. Come on. I'll introduce you," she said, turning and motioning for the girl to follow her. She still didn't know her name, though. As for now, she was 'little girl who just ran into me'.

Anna slid the compartment door open and walked inside. Oh...lemurs. When had Cam gotten a pair of lemurs? "When did you get a pair of lemurs?" Anna asked, watching in disgust as the animals devoured a jar of insects. Gross. She continued to watch them crawl all over Cam until it occured to her that she was probably standing in the way of 'little girl who just ran into me'. "Oh, excuse me," Anna said, stepping aside. "Erm, this is Cam, a second year Slytherin. Cam, this is..."

Ariana slowly walked to the back of the train, take a swift glance into every compartment. Where was she supposed to sit? She wanted to make friends, but at the same time she didn't want to intrude on others that were already having a great time and didn't have room for one more in their circle.

Natasha walked down the train, and she saw a girl who she guessed was a first year. "Hello, I'm Natasha." SHe said and smiled at her.

"It's nice to meet you. I'm Ariana."

Chris sat down across from Kevin. "Umm you're a second year Slytherin right?" He asked and raised an eyebrow.

Lasca shuffled her way down the corridor with her trunk in one hand and Apollo in the other, looking for someone she knew. The midnight black owl hooted happily and a small white and grey kitten padded behind her. Passing by one compartment, she noticed Kevin in conversation with a couple people. She also noticed his leg and made a mental note to ask him about it later.

Continuing on she spotted her very best friend and fellow Claw Mariel and cracked the door open. "Hey Mariel!" Noticing that there were people present she didn't know she gave a small and awkward curtsy. "Mind if I join you?" As she didn't know who was the first in the compartment she asked the question at large. Tundra managed to squeeze between her legs and poked his small head around the door as well. Icy blue eyes taking everything in.

Kevin nodded and said "Yeah i am a second year i am looking forward to this term"

"Are you new?" Natasha asked her politely.

Merlin, are there a lot of first years this year... she thinks wryly to herself. Walking toward the back of the train, hoping to finally find someone familiar, Liz spots Chris talking to someone, but not wanting to interrupt, she glances in compartments walking past.

"That's cool." Chris said. "Umm so how was your summer? Do any travling or anything?" He asked trying to make some conversation.

"Yeah. It's my first year here. What about you?" Ariana replied, grateful this girl wanted to talk to her, was trying to make conversation.

Kevin looked at the boy and said "Nope i didn't do any travelling at all but i was busy training for qudditch i am planning on trying out for the Slytherin team this term, what about yourself how was your summer"

Kaitlynnh sighed in relief, thankful the older girl she crashed into was a nice one. And a girl, that made it better too. At first she wasn't aware of her badge, the small girl was more focused on trying to figure out why she seemed vaguely familiar and making sure the animals she had were both alright, which they were; the frog maybe abit startled by the jostling, but her rabbit was content being hugged to the little girl's chest. "You know Sam," it wasn't a question, it was a statement. More to herself than Anna, realizing why she thought she had seen this particular older girl before. Because she had, over summer.

It was a rare occasion she blushed, but running into the Head Girl was enough to keep the crimson visible in her naturally slightly tanned face. "I.. sorry," She repeated, unable to stop the words from coming out. The small girl gave a nod of her curly haired head, answering shyly "I am. It's nice to meet you, Anna" Katie smiled, stroking her little rabbit. She added, "Thank you! This is Nova. And that's Waterfall," nodding down at the caged frog.
Being introduced to a boy that had greeted the nice Head Girl, Katie waved her free hand 'hello'. "Kaitlynnh Mae. My friends call me Katie," She replied, glancing up at Anna.
Feeling someone brush past her, Kaitlynnh was sure it was on purpose when her gaze turned only to see one of her friends. As usual, her dark eyes narrowed at THAT name; blasted boy STILL hadn't told her what it meant! And now he was walking away from her! "I'm,.. Cy's, URGH." She murmured, letting out a sigh of annoyance and shook her head. She was going to have to catch up with him in a moment. "It's rude to walk away you know," Katie called after him, even though he may not hear it.

Chris watched as Liz walked by. Gosh it had been a long time since they had talked. And it sort of looked like she was looking for someone to talk to. Kevin wouldn't mind would he?

"Ah so you're a Qudditch player?" Chris asked. "So what's you favorite Qudditch team anyways?" He asked. But then noticed he hadn't really introduced himself. "Umm wait, sorry I'm Chris Kaplan." He said offering the boy his hand for a shake. "Would you mind if I invite I friend that walks by in?" He asked.

"Oh cool!" She sounded genuinely excited. "Horses, huh? I rode one once. It smelled really awful, though. But... I guess that was to be expected?" Becca laughed. "Quidditch all day... ah. That'd be nice. I wish I lived in some sort of wizarding community where I could do that. You're really lucky." She gave a small smile. "But, I can't really complain. I got to play soccer every day with all my girls. I love Hogwarts, but I think I look forward to going home more than most people, just because I know I've missed so much in the lives of my friends. So, y'know, getting to hang with them... my summer was wonderful."

"Gnarly?" He wrinkled his nose at that word. "Isn't that like... a tree that is old and twisted? What does it even mean?" Cope paused, chewing that over. "Oh, no! That's gnarled. But still..."

Becca raised her eyebrows at Copernicus as he questioned her, but soon enough he figured it out. "Right. Gnarled. Gnarly is a VERY old-fashioned word. It's just ... weird. And I think it sounds odd. That's why I don't say it." She shrugged, then smiled in admiration when Copernicus casted the invisibility charm. Brilliant, he was.

She then watched as it seemed people kept trickling into their compartment. Annoyance was clearly shown on her face, but she kept her tone light. "Copernicus, what's your favorite thing to do? In general, I mean. What interests you... besides history?"

Kevin nodded at Chris and said "Yeah i love qudditch now, my favourite team is the Holyhead Harpies they are playing awesome at the moment," Kevin shook Chris's hand and said "Nice to meet you Chris and sure the more the merrier"

Chris nodded in agreement. "Well yeah that's true they are doing very will right now." He said. "Oh cool thanks." He said and smiled slightly to the boy as he stood up to the door.

"Hey Liz." He said to her. "If you want to come in here there is pleanty of room." He offered.

Kevin smiled back at Chris as he went to invite his friend into the compartment and he looked out of the window thinking about how he had got to see the Harpies in action and boy they were good

Hearing someone call her name and offer her to sit there, she realizes it was Chris. Smiling she enters, "Hi Chris! Thank you, I feel kind of alone now, that everyone else is gone now..."

Looking over she sees the younger boy. "Hey Kevin, how was your holidays?"

Mat had be running all day long. This is what happens when you wait until the last possible moment to do your shopping. But in his opinion no guy in their right mind could love shopping, unless it was for pranks stuff then it was the total opposite. Speaking of which a grinned appear on his face thinking about few purchase he had done. He only hope that his mother hadn't heard of those. She would probably contact the school to inform them ahead and this wasn't good. No matter... no matter. This wasn't time to think about such a thing. Carrying Seth on his shoulder, he had previously put all his luggage with the others and he was now looking for a place to chill.

Glancing throught compartment door one by one he noticed one that had two boys in it. One of them was looking more his age (Saz Hale). Opening the door only inches so his head could pass. "YO Dude!!! Mind if I join?"

Kevin smiled at Liz and said "My holidays were ok but i did get to go to a Holyhead Harpies game" Kevin turned as the door opened again showing a boy who looked like a first year and said to him "Sure go ahead, I am Kevin" Kevin held his hand out for the boy to shake

"No problem you looked like you where looking for someone to talk to." Chris said with a friendly smile as he sat back down in the compartment.

Chris then saw the guy open the compartment door and slip his head through. He must have been a first or second year. He looked over at Kevin, he had said the more the merrier right? "Yeah come on in mate." He said to him.

Smiling she nods at Kevin, "That must have been fun! I've never been to any games outside school that is."

Glancing behind her, she moves over and gives another smile when sees another young boy walk into the compartment.

Sitting next to Chris "No, just feeling alone this year. Rian left, you know..." fading off, she crosses one leg over the other.

Demetria sat down next to Kevin and looked at the two people also sitting with him. "I'm Demetria." she introduced herself. She pulled out a pouch of bertie botts. "Anyone want one?"

Pushing the door a bit more open so his entire body could pass, he felt as thought set didn't like to be around many peoples and went hide himself inside his shirt. "Thanks Kev!!" Not been someone who like formality he went straight ahead crashing on the sit in front of him. "I'm Matias but you can call me Mat."

Turning toward the older boy and the girl who was also in the compartment he salute them. "Yo!" he was about to ask them if that was ok with them too but the older boy was faster then him. "Cool dude!! So your name would be?"
