The whole transition from having one of the best summers ever to being forced to go back to school for just one more year was not going fairly well with Seth Paton at all. If it were up to him on whether or not he was going to return to Hogwarts for his last year, he would definitely not be on board the Hogwarts Express right now. Maybe he would’ve been in France or somewhere else — anything that didn’t have a single thing to do with school. Ultimately, this should’ve been his choice as he was of age and was old enough to make decisions on his own, however; trying to convince a stubborn father who was rarely home the majority of the time was harder than what it had seemed. At least his mother understood his reasons for not wanting to go back. Sadly, that was not enough to get the whole ‘You’re going to finish your education, young man. And that’s final!’ speech from ending quickly. Welcome back, Mr. Paton!

With blue eyes darting from compartment to compartment, the blonde found that there was barely any empty compartments to sit in at the back of the train. However, that was not too surprising as the back of the train was a rather popular spot the majority of the time. Perhaps there was an overload of little midgets running around this year. At least that was better than having to be stuck with Newell another year. Then again, he had another person that most likely was taking up Newell’s place mainly because he wasn’t particularly fond of the girl at all ever since she had threatened to use his hair for a bonfire.

Speaking of that devil of a girl, as he was walking his way through the coach, he saw her standing right in the doorway of one of the compartments. As he was not exactly in the mood to care who all was in that compartment, he had to go through phase one of getting back at her for that hair comment back in California. And how did Seth do that? Without even bothering to say a polite ‘Excuse me.’ he shouldered the Ravenclaw and made his way to sitting down next to the window, nodding his head in acknowledgement when he walked past Cayden and Mari.

Phase one down, many more to go.

"I never really hung out around the Common Room much..." Natka trailed off, not entirely willing to launch into the frequent slightly lonely times she'd experienced in the castle, especially when watching others enjoy themselves.

"Oh, really? That's brilliant!" Natka almost bounced up in her seat at the news. She hadn't met a fellow Russian in the school previously, ad she felt somewhat warm inside to think she had a fellow Ravvie from the same country. "Whereabouts in Russia? My family's from St. Petersburg."

"Wow, Hogwarts really does have a complete mix of nationalities, doesn't it?" Natka smiled as Pyralis revealed to them her nationality.

Yes. Hogwarts is a nationality school."She smiled."I hope I can see more of you two."


Pyralis caught the aura of a sulky seventh year. Seth.She recognized the boy.

Olena blushed (again!) at the compliement. "You're very pretty, too. I like your hair," she said quietly.

"Well, my dad moved us to Yeketerinburg. Now we live in Sligo. I never thought there would be so many different nationalities at Hogwarts," Olena mused quietly, completely letting go of her hold on her accent.

Pyralis laughed her bell like laugh. Thank you." She muttered holding up her brown orange-streaked hair.

Roland walked down the corridor with his hands in his pockets at his ease trying to find some people who weren't first years. He had already checked to see if they were ok even though he wasn't a prefect. A slytherin would even be good. He felt the train lurched and fell against the wall, steadying himself he muttered "easy now".

Olena smiled her first real smile since borading the train. She was having fun! "What houses are you two in?" She asked. She though she had heard one of them mention Ravenclaw, but she wasn't sure.

Lettie looked around the compartment, unsure of what to do for a moment before she moved over next to Samantha. "Hey, it's okay." She said giving the smaller girl a pat on the back, "You'll be fine. You will make lots of new friends, and you'll have classes to keep you busy, you can write letters to family, and you get to watch Quidditch games with everyone." Leticia gave a broad smile, hoping it would cheer the girl up. "It'll be fun, a big adventure!"

"Ravenclaw. Both of us."Pyralis replied. She thought the little girls smile was cute.

Natka smiled at hearing Olena's slightly Russian accent.

"Yes, there are all kinds of people here, and in all the houses," Natka commented. "I wonder which one you'll be in... it would be great if you could join us, but do you have any preferences?"

Natka admired Pyralis' hair as she held it up, wishing her own light-brown braids could reflect light like either Pyralis' or Olena's hair did.

"You both have wonderful hair," she commented eventually.

"Thank you." Pyralis looked at Natka."Mine is quite unique I know."

Another boy! Oh goody! Gooody!

"Why yes you may," she spoke with a tilt of her head and a lift of her shoulder. She was always trying her darnest to be as cute as possible, not that she needed much more help. "As long as you don't bite."

Boys were always a different story when it came to people she chatted with. To her, she would always get along so much better with them than with the girls. Competition was just out of the question for her, but Anna Banana and Agie were two of her best friends, a solid friendship that went a little further than boys.

She took a deep breath. You've never cared about what others thought! Those words were still ringing in her head and she was going to never forget them.

Cyrus the Great! OH! She loved him already! "I love the confidence," she winked with a wrinkle of her nose. "Shows what a great and powerful person you truly are." And just how lucky I am to know you! "I'm a seventh year Hufflepuff. Last and final year of course, but that doesn't mean I cannot make new friends, especially with the new students." The little people.

And then her green eyes looked up to the poor innocent one that finally took all the blame for that horrid noise. "I'm okay," she spoke with an innocent smile. It was good that this person was also checking on her well being. OH it was good to be a beautiful girl! "Thank you for asking.

"Have a seat if you would like too." Not her compartment but the more the merrier.

"Oh." Olena felt her spirits fall a little. Neither of her parents had gone to Hogwarts, but she knew about the houses. There was no way she would be smart enough. She liked to read, but she wasn't anywhere near smart enough.

"I'm not sure. Neither of my parents went to Hogwarts, but all the houses sound wonderful in their own way." Olena responded to the lder girl's inquiry.

"Don't get your hopes down."Pyralis encouraged."You'll get into one. I'm sure you're smart." The poor girl fealt insecure.

"Thanks."Joseph sat down in the crowded compartment. "Joseph Granger."He introduced himself.

Lasca had invited Mariel to join her in the other compartment but it seemed everyone had disappeared for the moment. Smiling to herself she walked down the hallway, intent on returning to Nate and Pyralis. Tundra, her white and grey kitten purred steadily in her arms as dozed off. That made her smile bigger. For all his mischief making her was a cute little thing. Smart too, devilishly so.

Passing by a compartment she did a double take and noticed one of the occupants. That not where I left her. Hmmm. Deciding to investigate she opened the compartment door and leaned on the frame. "Hello. Made new friends I see." She smiled at the other girls present and gave a small curtsy. "I'm Lasca, mind if I join you?"

"Thanks. I suppose it would be neat to be put into Gryffindor. I mean, that's the house Harry Potter was in. And Dumbledore, too."

"No. I don't mind."Pyralis smiled at Lasca."This is Natka, and Olena." She nodded to Olena. "Yes, Gryffindor is a good house. Hermione Granger, my boyfriends cousin and Harry Potters bet friend was in that house as well."

Olena felt her eyes grow round. "So do you know Hermione Granger? I've heard of her before. She was really brave."

Iris frowned as Aaron laughed at her annoyance. "Not far off, 10 miles or so. "
she said, smiling. " Aaron, Will you keep an eye on Luna whilst I go and find the food trolley?" She asked, "Do either of you want any thing?"

"Yes. She was extremely brave. I love Hermione."Pyralis pushed back her hair.

"Wow, you're really lucky. I'd love to know a war hero." And she would. One of her cousins had been killed by a random attack during that war, and she would love to know someone who had helped stop the war.

"I definitley will," he told her grinning. "So when did you get involved with music?" he asked Amanda. He'd never known anyone that had actually made a CD before, he had known people that could sing though...he just didn't know them now. That being an off limit topic with him he asked her, "So you're in Slytherin right?"
