I'm not sure how long I've had him, he's at least four though, and he doesn't like to leave me for a second...do you?" Leticia said the last bit to her cat as she smushed her face lovingly into his, to which Lettie was rewarded with a loud purr.
Ornlu's ears flattened right to his head as he spotted another cat, he always had to have everything for himself. "Stop being a grump." Lettie said as she placed Ornlu on her lap.

Vanessa giggled, at what he said. It was true that she liked Miles. She liked Miles very much so. "He is a good guy." and that was one of the reasons why she loved him so much. "I don't like mean people or bad people?" Vannie giggled, well she wasn't too sure about that. But if Raiden thought it....it must have been a bit true. "Aww Rai...stop it." Vanessa felt her cheeks blush, and she smiled at him. She wished that this wasn't her last year.
Peeking out from under his arm, Raiden smiled at Vannie Corbette before hiding his eyes from the glaring light again. Looking forward to this year? He always looked forward to going back to Hogwarts. He missed his family, for sure, but he loved being around his friends, and he loved learning new stuff, and everything like that. Plus...

"I can't wait to get back," he sighed, lowering his arm. It was too warm to keep it over his face anymore. He just kept his eyes closed instead; while it didn't keep all the light out, it helped enough. "I missed being around everyone. With Shiro in Japan... the summer was a little boring."

He was odd to look at from this position - his face this close to hers again. The lively eyes, the black hair... There was just one problem: What should she do with her own arms? Especially the one on Raiden's side, she had to hold a little awkwardly. Could she just put it on his stomach? No, no, impossible!
She settled for letting it cross her stomach, mimicking Raiden's posture. It came to rest against his cheek, sending shivery sparks up her arm.


Kiri looked up again. She nodded. "Oh yes, I am," she told Vanessa. Just how much of that had to do with the actual school, she didn't know, but she suspected (well, knew) that last year, her response had been less enthusiastic. Part of the reason for that was resting on her lap this very moment! (The rest of it stretching out on the seats next to her.)
"What about you?"
Opening one eye slightly, he looked at Kiri. It already looked like he'd made her uncomfortable. Her arms were all awkward. Taking one of her hands, he moved her arm from its position of oddness and set it across his chest.

"I'm already making you uncomfortable," he said pitifully. "Don't sit all awkward. Put your arms wherever you like, it won't bother me. I'm the one laying on you, after all." He smiled up at her and closed his eye, a breath leaving him in a sigh. "If you're uncomfortable, tell me, Kiri."

He suddenly wasn't quite as sleepy as he had been before... which was odd, because he'd been about to fall asleep just a moment ago.

"Hey, Mystic!" Aaron said looking at the girl with pink pigtails. It's been a while! Mystic, this is Iris. Iris, Mystic. It's cool with me if you sit with us!" Aaron turned to Satine and Iris, "How about you guys?"
Iris laughed at Aaron, and put a finger around Luna's collar to stop her diving at Aaron's head. "telling the frog off isn't going to make it not jump out at you, you know!" she giggled, "oh, thanks... that's a bit of a fluke isn't it?" she said, taking the card and pocketing it.

Iris truned to face the girl at the door, "Hi, Mystic - cool name. 'Course you can sit with us!" she said, smiling then turned to Aaron, "Aaron - am I the only person you know who doesn't have pink hair?" she laughed, "I like pink hair, its funkey." she added, just to be safe.

"Well, your hair is down to your waist, and that's cool, too!" Aaron laughed at the silliness of the compartment. 4 kids, 2 of them with pink hair, one of them struggling with chocolate that hurt him, a cat trying to attack the boy, and an owl screeching and shaking at everything else!

Satine was so excited to be meeting all of these new people..."It doesn't bother me at all." She held her hand out to the new girls in the compartment. "Howzit, I'm Satine." She put her best smile on so her deep purple eyes shined brightly.

"Its great to meet you both. I'm so ready to get to Hogwarts and get things started. Have you guys met any other first years? What house do you want to be in?" She stopped...hoping she wasn't overwhelming them with too many questions.

"yeah... if this is how hectic it is on the train, I don't know if I want to know what it is like at school." she laughed. " I wanted to get my hair cut over the summer, but my mum didn't let me... said it was too lovely to cut -but it's REALLY annoying to look after, even with magic." she said, sighing and taking a cauldren cake, "would you like a cauldren cake, Mystic?" she asked the new girl.

His name is Shadow. I think for some reason it's easier to have a cat." After finishing she smiled at how Lettie talked to her Cat.

Satine laughed at Aaron and Iris. "I know it's going to be a great year. I haven't met anyone just horrible yet...but you never know." She stood up and reached into her bag to pull out a mirror. Sure enough her hair had become a pinkish color from her worries about Hogwarts. She shook her head and her hair become the dark purple color that was her favorite.

As she did this, she noticed everyone was looking at her in awe. To break the awkwardness she asked, "So does anyone know any spells?"

"I understand completely," Satine admitted and was very excited to find someone else with problems with spells. "I have to really work at getting spells to work. My mom says that I just need to get inside Hogwarts with all the magic around me to gain my strength, but I'm a little nervous that I'll accidentally burn the place down one day or turn a professor into a pig." She smiled with the thought of a pig with robes on it.

"My mom has told me so many stories about Hogwarts. I can't wait. Do you know how to play Quidditch?"

"me neither - I've picked up bits and pieces from my mum over the years, but not enough to be able to do the spells." she said to the others, after laughing at Aaron's response.

"I watch quidditch, and I will have a fly about on a broom - but I just don't get the rules of Quidditch..." Iris said, " come to think about it, I've never gooten football either.."

"I'm not really sure how it works really. My mom said that when I was born my hair changed ten times in the first day. As I got older, I just figured out that I could shake my head and my hair could change colors. I can make my hair grow and shrink also. It's kind of weird. I can also do the same thing to my eyes." Satine closed her eyes and when she opened them they were almost a see through blue. She blinked again and they were back to her bright purple. "My mom's cousin could change almost everything about her looks, but I don't think I can do that yet. And I don't really want to try. I mean what if I make by lips huge and then they get stuck that way." She finished laughing...

"Me and Iris actually went into the Quidditch shop and a cool book called Quidditch Through the Ages," Aaron said to Satine. He turned to Iris, "I actually finished that book in one night! It was so cool reading about all the famous Quidditch players and teams. I can't wait until flying to I can try it out!"

"you big book nerd, it took me a fortnight to read Quidditch Through The Ages! I suppose your ability to read a lot in a short time will help at school..." she said,

"I told my mum about my day at Diagon Alley that night, you know." she said matter-of-factly, "and do you know what my Robert did as coon as I brought you up?" she asked, "started singing Iris and Aaron sitting in a tree! the fool... Mum told him off for it though, said he shouldn't be making fun of my new friends." she laughed

"During my first year of school, I had to wear a wig until I got it under control. I eventually learned how to control. But the first few years were a pain. If I sneezed my hair would be pastel colors. More embarrassing than anything else. I loved going to the Ministry with my mom though because they thought it was cool trick. But when I went to work with my dad, I had to act nice."

"Once I got it under control, it wasn't too bad, but I still loose control when I get mad or frustrated or nervous. I'm trying to figure out how to just do colored streaks, but I'm not near that good yet."

"O I can't wait to fly either. My mom was on the Quidditch team when she was at Hogwarts, but I am not a sporty person at all. I think I'll be better at sitting on the sidelines and being the spirited one, but you never know. Mom said she thought the same thing to. Did either of your parents play?"

Mystic watched as Satine changed her hair color. "Are you a metamorphmagus as well?" She asked. " I am one or was my powers do not work now so I am kind of stuck with my hair and eye color," she added.

"Yes I think that's what my mom calls it, but I can't remember...I think it's a big word like that. It runs in the family my great aunt and some of my cousin are meta whatevers." She was really excited to me another meta thing like her.

Aaron just realized that he was the only boy in a 'Let's talk about hair' conversation. Oh boy, I forgot to make GUY friends Aaron thought to himself. He decided to stick with Quidditch.

"I actually met the Slytherin Quidditch captain in Diagon Alley. She said I could try out for the team." Aaron laughed at the thought. "Imagine if I made it. With NO experience."

Iris laughed at Aarons luck, or rather lack of luck. "Don't worry Aaron, I'm sure you'll do fine! We'll all be there to give you support if you go to the tryouts!" Iris said to him encouragingly.

Vanessa glanced at the window as Raiden shielded his eyes from the light. They really needed a blind or something, then he wouldn't need to do that. She smiled at him again though, he looked more comfortable now at least.
"Thats good!" She nodded, with another smile. She was going to miss seeing Raiden when she graduated. She would have to make sure that she spent some time with him this year, so that they would have more memories together.

"You can do anything if you put your mind to it. You have to like what you do. Then you will give you all. That is what my dad and uncle always says. They did not have any experience when the started playing. You may even come famous like them." Mystic replying to Aaron remark.
