Abby raises her hand. The rune Fehu's colors are red and sometimes brown, the color associated with cattle. |
"Yes... red, does anyone know what number is associated with Fehu?" She asked. |
Herminny raised her hand and said, "The number assossiated with Fehu is 1.". |
Lucy raised her hand and said, "Fehu is associated with the number 1." With that done Lucy turned down to her notes and added a few more things. Quote:

Clifford raised his hand. He had no idea.. but what was the harm in guessing? "It's the first in that alphabet, right? So I reckon.. number one, ma'am?" |
William put his hand up and replied, "I believe the number is one Professor." he nodded, pretty sure of the answer. |
Chris raised his hand he knew this answer. "Fehu is associated with the number 1" |
Cela raised her hand. "First cow. So, the beginning. One like they all said." |
Fyo raised his hand. "It's associated with the number one, ma'am," he said politely. "That's Fehu's position in the rune-row - first position, I mean." |
"Very good, one is correct, though in some literature you will find that Fehu is also referred to as the Riches-rune because they relate its numerological value to 24, which is the highest number. So I would have accepted 24 as well... Which tree and herb is associated with Fehu?" She asked the class. |
Again, Clifford wasn't entirely sure, but raised his hand in the air for a try anyway. "I think maybe.. nettles?" Was that a plant or herb? He had no idea. |
Fyo raised his hand. "The tree is the Eider, and the herb is Nettle, ma'am," he said. |
Chris raised his hand "The tree associated to Fehu is Eider and the Herb is Nettle" he answered |
Herminny raised her hand and said, "I believe the tree associated with Fehu is the elder tree and the herb is nettle.'. |

Satine knew this one instantly and shot her hand in the air, "Professor, the astrological sign associated with the Fehu is Aries." |
Chris raised his hand for another answer. "the astrological sign would be Aries, Professor Lupa!" |
Herminny raised her hand yet again and said, "The astrological sighn of Fehu is Aries mam.". |
Celandine raised her hand, "Aries is the associated sign... Professor it doesn't really say anything in the textbook about WHY all these things are associated with Fehu." |

Jack raised his hand. "I believe the sign that Fehu is associated with is Aries, Professor," he answered. He felt himself glance at his notes again, just to double check...no, he was right. Aries it was. |
Fyo raised his hand. "Aries, ma'am," he said, confident that he was right. "That's the first sign of the zodiac, so naturally it corresponds with Fehu." Then something struck him. "Professor, the sign of Aries is the ram," he said, hand still raised. "Isn't that sort of related to the whole cattle thing?" |
Hmm...Anna had totally missed the mark when it came to the 'Jack...Beanstalk...whatever' fable. She'd been looking too much into it, but now it was time to get back on track, take a few more notes, and get back into the discussion. Raising her hand, Anna said, "That'd be Aries, which is the first sign in the zodiac. Is there any significance to it being the first zodiac sign, while Fehu is the first letter of the Elder Futhark?" |
William put his hand up once more, "I think it's Aries professor, the first zodiac sign, the first rune, kind of makes perfect sense." he nodded his head, hair falling into his eyes. |
