"Don't even worry. Better circumstances aren't necessary. I'm glad to help." Cam insisted with a smile at the younger girl. She didn't want the poor girl feeling badly about this whole thing. She was just glad that the girl hadn't died on her. Now that would have been bad. "Anyway, it's a pleasure to meet you Sakura. And I'm not entirely sure I can get there either. I mean, Amanda's the one that led me up here in the first place...I transferred to Hogwarts this year and am still getting use to the castle, but I think I'll be able to manage." She added with a grin.

Cam leaned back in her chair and jiggled her booted foot habitually as the nurse gave Sakura chocolate, and a glass of water. She gathered her hair over one shoulder, and began to twist the dark curls around one finger. Once Sakura had taken a bite of her chocolate she spoke once more.

"Just let me know when you feel up to walking again, and we can head out." She suggested calmly.

Sakura quietly thanked the nurse for the water and the chocolate before nearly downing half the glass, she was extremely thirsty for some reason. She then calmly took small bites from the chocolate bar.

When the Cam said something about not knowing the way herself Sakura was a tiny bit apprehensive, however she finished her drink and the chocolate bar before standing and saying, "Can we go to the Great Hall please?" Suddenly something came to her, "Umm was there a boy called Jack in here earlier, I thought I heard him." Just as Sakura began to walk slightly unsteadily towards the exit she noticed a boy sitting in the waiting room with huge teeth, she almost laughed, until she thought about what she would have looked like, lying on the chairs with blood coming out of her arm.

When Sakura stood up, Cam followed suit, and stayed half a step behind the younger girl. If she started to get too wobbly Cam would notice, and be able to catch her. She stuffed her hands into the pockets of her robes as they headed towards the door. Jack? That was the boy that had been melting down right?

"Yeah. He was here for a while. Was absolutely melting down." She answered, hoping that would do something to make the girl feel better. "He tried to stop the bleeding with his tie." Cam added, then remembered the torn hem of her shirt, and tugged her robes closer together. No sense in making the world look at her ragged clothing.

"He was? Oh no, I hate when he gets like that." Sakura noticed the girl was walking behind her and that her shirt was ripped but decided not to mention it.

Merry watched the two slytherins walk out and hoped that the girl would be fine. She walked over to the patient gryffindor boy and held out her hand. "I'm Meredith, I'm sorry to keep you waiting but I appreciate your patience."

She looked at his teeth and raised an eyebrow. "How did this happen?" Mere asked curiously.

Nathaniel got red. "Another student hexed me"

Merry nodded. "Hmm well that's a great way to start the term off." She said with a slight sarcastic tone and a smirk. "Well it's easily taken care of at least. Did you get him back?"

Mere went and got a pain reliever potion and handed it to Nate. "The shrinking spell can sometimes hurt, especially when bone is involved."

"I know if I told you I did get him back I could get in trouble." Nathaniel said with a serious face. "It's an awesome way to start off the term. And all because this boy was mad that I was protecting a friend." Nathaniel rolled his eyes. "He was threatened by me.". Great pain. Awesome. "Thanks for the warning. I can handle some pain. Have at it" he said with a grin.

Meredith gave a shrug. "You're a gryffindor...being loyal and standing up for your friends is part of who you are." She gave a laugh at his mention of handleing some pain. "As you wish then." Producing her wands from her robes she performed a shrinking charm, carefully watching to get them back to normal and not shrinking them to much.

When she was done she checked her work and when she was satisfied with the length of the teeth now, put her wand back up. "There you go. What do you think?" Meredith asked as she handed him a mirror.

Nathaniel tensed up a bit when the nurse took her wand out. He was a guy. He had to act tough. And that pain was pretty hardcore... but it wasn't as bad as breaking his leg last year. He felt his face getting red and his eyes got big from the pain. "Perfect! Thanks so much." as he looked into the mirror

"Another gryffindor quality...bravery." She shook her head and gave a chuckle. "You are very welcome. Enjoy the rest of your day." Meredith walked away and headed to her cabinets to organize the bottles a bit before the next patient came in.

Nathaniel picked up his backpack and said "Thanks". We left the hospital wing wondering where to go next.

And a day later she was back. Unfortunately this time Cam didn't have someone else she was taking care of. In her good hand she held her Firebolt, and an old worn out beaters club. The other arm hung limply at her side. Her shoulder was at a strange angle to her body, and hung a good few inches lower than the other. Chewing on her bottom lip, Cam wandered over to a chair and perched herself on it while she waited for the nurse to be free.

Amanda headed into the waiting room, carrying her broom, her beater's bat and the bludger case in her good hand while her other arm was resting against her arm, she took a seat and waited for the nurse. "Well, how did you enjoy your training session, minus the injuries of course?" She asked Cam curiously.

"Very much. It was fun, and I think I overcame a few emotional obstacles." She stated honestly, then forced a slightly uncomfortable grin. She'd not quite gotten said what she'd wanted to say up there...but that was fine. Cam was content putting off that little heart to heart. She'd much rather keep her secret...but felt that she at least owed her new friend this truth.

"Your ok though? I didn't really mean to bruise you. I think it would be easier to not think about it if I didn't like the person on the other end of the bludger." She stated, and sucked in a deep breath as she scooted down further into her seat.

"I'll be fine, I've had worse injuries happen when I duel, course I end up duelling people in higher years, I've duelled a 3rd year in my 1st year, a 4th year and a 5th year in my 2nd year." Amanda said, then laughed, her arm was starting to hurt pretty bad, but that's what happens when there's a bludger out.

Tobi harumphed and grumbled as he stomped into the waiting room.

He didn't need to be here.

"It's just a black eye." He reminded Aggie for the dozenth time. She had to come and waste her time in the infirmary too, if he did. "You aren't making Cale come to get looked at."

”That’s because,” she said humorlessly. “I haven’t seen Cale’s black eye. I’m sure his isn’t as bad as yours.” She looked around and then led the way over to the waiting seats. “Besides, if it’s not as bad as you claim, then all the nurse is going to do is give you a potion. So stop being such a baby.” She gave him a gentle shove into a chair.

"Back again already?" Meredith asked with a grin. She was about to ask after her friend when she saw the arm and broom. "I'm assuming quidditch practice, but how?"

Soon another girl came in with similar injuries. "Wow, I knew quidditch was rough...Merlin. What happened to you two?"

"I'll be right with you hun, just take a seat and I'll look at that eye."

"I was training Cam to be a Beater for the Slytherin Quidditch tryouts, and we were trying to see who could knock each other off their broom, and I wasn't paying attention for a split second, I took a bludger to the left arm and I heard a snap, then I took another bludger to the chest." Amanda said, setting her beater's bat in her lap for the moment.

Rachel walked into the waiting room and blinked as she saw the sheer amount of people there. So much for making this quick and simple... Wincing as she stepped too hard on the ground and the now splitting headache throbbed painfully. Why are the lights suddenly so bright? she wondered as she swayed slightly on the spot, shielding her eyes from the unknown sudden bright light.
"Excuse me," she asked the nurse, her eyes watering by now, "Could you possibly give me something against headaches, please?" she asked politely in a quiet voice (so as not to trigger off another throb of the pain), not wanting to make a fuss yet already sighing inwardly as the tears ran down her cheeks. She pressed the palms of her hands into her eyes to stop them tearing up from the light when she winced even more as it made the pain in her head intensify considerably. It was then that she realised that the lighting hadn't changed in the slightest and groaned loudly. Great, just fantastic! This is bad, now she'll examine me too!

"Ahh I see. What happened to Cam then?" Meredith asked as she headed towards the cabinet to grab a couple of pain reliever vials and cream for bruising. "Here take this one vial while I set and fix the broken arm." She handed the other vial to Cam for her to take as well.

The Ravenclaw prefect appeared and Merry seeing how much the light bothered her grabbed some headache potion. "Here dear, a mere sip should do the trick. Save the rest for the next headache. If they persist or you run out of the potion come back for more." Poor girl, headaches were no fun at all.

"Well Cam took a bludger to the shoulder and she fell off her broom." Amanda said, taking the vial and drinking it, she knew that was for pain, since it was going to hurt to have her arm fixed.

Merry nodded and after Amanda had drunk the vial, she took out her wand and set the bone and fixed it. She took a quick x-ray and handed another vial to Amanda. "It'll hurt for awhile. Sip at the potion as needed probably for the next couple of days. The bone is still sensitive so be very careful not to rebreak it or do to much strenuous activity."

Handing her the cream for bruising, Mere told the girl, "This will be for the bruising from the bludger to the chest. Just apply it generously and it will go away within three days."

Amanda nodded at what the nurse had to say, she picked up her broom in her good arm along with the beater's bat and the bludger case. She carefully carried the cream and the vial in the other hand, getting up and heading out of the hospital wing. She was done there, so she was just going to head back to the common room.
