Trey came to in the middle of what seemed to be a maze. His crazy day dreams had seemed to get the best of him again. But who could turn down eating ice cream at Florean's with a monkey wearing a fez and clanging cymbals together between bites. I really need my head checked, he thought to himself. What was this he heard? Shoot a ribbon and something about a partner? Well if a partner was the only way out of this maze, there was no time to be stubborn now.

Trey exclaimed "Risona" as his ribbon shot in the air and spelled out "Partner?" Hopefully someone was still available, or he'd be here awhile.

Clifford wasn't feeling quite so confident anymore. For a few brief moments, he'd been thinking he might actually be able to make it out of here alive ... now he wasn't quite so sure. And all because of his crappy spellwork. Even he couldn't really read what his ribbon was supposed to say as he glanced up at it, he just prayed that the kid would at least help him guess the right way.

What was that he saw? Red sparks? So what did that mean again? He'd asked left - well, attempted to anyway - and got red sparks.. so he had to take the right pathway. Hmmm. Here goes nothing..

Pace quickening again, Clifford made his way down the right pathway. It was a while before he came to another obstacle, but in true maze fashion, he eventually approached yet another split in the pathways.

Jeeez? Was he close yet?

"Risona." He muttered almost boredly this time, concentrating extra hard so that the word Right? formed above his head, this time neater.

Anna waited patiently for Michael to send up the next clue. This assignment was turning out to be one of the funnest she'd ever had! Anna loved when the professor's got creative with their lessons and assignments---it made learning adventurous for her. As she waited, Anna watched Plymouth, who seemed to be having a rather difficult time communicating with his partner. Poor Plymouth didn't seem to quite the hang of the spell just yet.

Finally, Anna caught notice of Michael's green spark, and smiled when she realized she was correct it assuming she needed to turn right. Following the lead, Anna turned right and headed through the maze once again. When she reached another fork, Anna held out her wand, swished upward, and silently casted "Risona."

"Right again?" the message read.

Right? She could read it this time.Wait,does he need to go right?
The dot on the map was flashing at yet another fork.Sarah let out a sigh...yes,finally he is getting close!
Jabbing her wand and saying "Firsitan" loudly Green sparks flew out.She was getting better at this spell,all the sparks this time got quite high in the air.Certainly high enough for him to see...she hoped anyway.

Just as Nancy was about to walk up to the professor to tell her that there apparently was no one without a partner left and that she had way better things to do than stand here doing nothing except for holding a stupid map in her hands her blue eyes noticed a ribbon in the air. Her head jerked up to get a better look on what was written on the ribben and it really was the one thing she'd wished for: Partner? Okay, what was she supposed to do now? Oh, right, she had absolutey no clue since she'd slept during the professor's instructions for this assignment.

Mentally slapping herself Nancy thought for a moment before hesitantly raising her wand to, with another glance around at the other students, say, "Firsitan" loud an clearly while at the same time thinking of the color green. Green! Green! Green! Only now she realized that she'd actually closed her eyes in concentration but upon opening them again she noticed with a small grin on her lips that she'd actually conjured up some green sparks. Okay, now what?

The 13-year-old desperately hoped that the person who was apparently looking for a partner had seen her sparks and understood their meaning. With a small sigh she looked down at the map in her hands and at all the dots under which she could read a lot of different names. But how was she to know who her partner was?

So, so far it had been left, left .. and Evangeline was guessing it would be left again. She hoped not, because that could well mean she would be walking around in circles and that was a waste of time. She was getting hungry and her feet were hurting .. not to mention that she had homework to do still! Goodness, she didnt want to die in there!

Finally, Shana sent out those sparks, red this time and Evangeline let out a little sigh. It was riiiiiiiiight then. Wondering whether or not to ask her if she was still far away or she was almost done, Evangeline turned right and decided against asking that. There was no point since Shana could only answer on 'yes' or 'no' ... it would leave her in the same ignorance she was. Bleh.

As she pondered on what, she found herself looking at another fork and her bounced a bit. Thiiiiiiis could be one of the last ones, yes? She hoped so! "Risonda!" She muttered, forgetting about being silent and ribbons floating from her wand to the air, spelling 'Right?'

Shana saw the answer and looked at the map it was right! Firsitan She muttered.And began to concerntrate only thinking Red Red Red

Rian smiled when she saw the blue sparks. "Alrighty," she said confidently to herself as she turned left. She continued down a straight path, her breath falling out in a huff when she came to another branch in the maze. This time there were three ways she could go.

How aboutstra ight? The words came out of her wand as soon as Rian muttered the spell. But...ugh. They weren't suppose to be bright pink. She pursed her lips, wondering why they had gone pink instead of blue.

Clifford had absolutely no concept on where he was.. if he was close to the exit.. even if he was going in the right direction. All his trust was in the kid that had that map. Merlin, help him.

They seemed to be doing alright though - whoever it was that was helping him - well, they were getting better at their spark shooting skills anyway. Hopefully his ribbon conjuring skills would see some improvement too! Hehe.

Taking the right hand pathway, Clifford followed for a good few minutes until he, you guessed it, found himself at yet another junction. Gaaaawd. "Risona." He sighed, wand pointing in the air and the ribbon forming the word Left?

He dearly hoped he was close to the exit. His poor stomach need refueling.

Cadence saw the pink words in the air and was a bit confused. Was that Rian or not? Her ribbon had been blue earlier. She gathered from the imperfect way the words had been broken apart, though, that it was her as this had happened the last time too. And she wasn't exactly sure whether going straight would help Rian or not. She thought for a moment, trying to decide whether going straight or to the right would bring her partner closer. In the end, she instinctively made a decision that going straight would lead her partner to a dead end. She shot up red sparks for no as the Professor had instructed, but realized that they had chosen red to mean right a moment ago. Cadence was at a loss so she simply waited to see if Rian would ask another question before moving.

Left? The words came up from Rian's wand, quickly followed by YESitworked! She blushed when she realized her thought had come up with the same spell. She thought about sending up 'Just ignore that last part' but figured Cadence would anyway.

She waited for an answer, thinking about this assigment. It was pretty fun, and that was the best part about classes at Hogwarts. They were far from ordinary. Thinking a bit more, she frowned again. Greenfor yes and redfor no her ribbons said. She thought that it would be better if they went back to the teacher's instructions for the time being.

She had asked if it was right, right? Yup, looking up Evangeline could clearly see the word spelled out in her ribbon. So the dark sparks meant to go to the left! Weeeeee! Okie Dokie! Evangeline had decided no freaking out would help her. She needed to be calm and collected and efficient. Yup, yup.

She turned to the left and quickly walked through it ... until she found, not a fork, but a dead end. A dead end. SHE WAS LOST! Shana had sent her in the wrong direction! She was gonna die here and people would only find her YEEEEARS after! Oh, the cruelty.

She was gonna die alone!!!

Trying not to let the panic arise, she thought of the words she wanted to spell out and performed the spell once more. This time, the green ribbon read: It's a DEAD END! I'm lost! HELP!

Oh yeah, calm and collected.

Cadence bit her lip in thought. Maybe she did need to take a left. Oh this was so frustrating! How was she supposed to... and then she remembered that the professor had given her a map. How silly of her to forget! She silently scolded herself before looking at the map. No, Rian needed to make a right, just as Cadence had thought. "Firsitan!" she said, and red sparks shot into the air for no.

Of course, it was the last one she chose. Rian nodded to herself and slipped into the right passage thing. She looked on ahead and saw that the path curved. Well, I obviously go this way... she thought, shrugging and going off in that direction.

Imhere at the moment. .. She informed Cadance for good measure, the ribbon flowing from her wand after she said the incantion. She looked around and saw a small gap. She didn't know if she was to go through that....and she hoped not.

Sure, she was small enough for it, but it didn't look to spacey. She muttered "Risona" skeptically. Go through here? the ribbons asked. She bit her lip and looked at the hole as she waited for an answer.

Cadence watched as the ribbons wrote the words in the sky, and she stared at them perplexedly. Go through where? she wanted to ask as she looked back down at the map. She squinted at it to see what Rian was referring to and noticed that it did seem there was a very small shortcut where she was standing, a space just big enough for someone small to crawl through that would cut... 1... 2...3... path choices off of their time.

It seemed too easy, surely Rian would have to face some kind of challenge to make it through the shortcut. There was no way the professor would make it that easy. Hoping she wouldn't have to face anything she couldn't handle, Cadence said firmly, "Firsitan!" and green sparks for yes shot in the air.

Rian wanted to ask if she was sure, but stopped herself. Of course Cadance was sure...right? Right. Okay...so just through the gap. The gap that seemed quite small...and Rian would definately have to crawl. She took a deep breath, then got on her hands and knees, staring into the gap. "Lumos," she whispered. She felt a bit better when her wand tip lit up and she could see further in.

Taking another deep breath, she crawled forward on her knees and one hand. She closed her eyes, then opened them, trying to push back panic. This was one way to find out if you were claustrophobic... But this was homework, and of course she had to do it. She made her way forward slowly, searching for any way out of the enclosed space. A little ways away, she saw light.

When she reached it, she looked around. Another fork. Hmm... "Risona..." she said quietly. Right? Came out with blue ribbon. She let out a shaky breath and waited for an answer.

Qaz need to find a partner...one of the youngster.

She said 'Risona' and as her ribbon shot in the air it spelled out Partner?

Cadence, who had been holding her breath ever since she had told Rian to go through the short cut, now exhaled loudly and did a sort of celebratory dance where she stood. She had made it through just fine! Okay, right, should she go right? Cadence looked down at the map and felt her heart drop like lead. Rian's dot had disappeared. She searched and searched for it, but it was no where to be found. Her heart began beating wildly against her ribcage, she had to make a decision. Well, Rian needed to go left to come toward Cadence, so she thought red as hard as she could despite her terror and said "Firsitan!" and red sparks for no shot in the air.

OoO Me! ME! ME! ME! Melanie thought as she saw the words rise up in the air. She desperately wanted o earn points for her house and now was her chance. Melanie looked down at the map, searching for a dot that would indicate where her partener was.

Wait!...Who was her partner?!

She sent green sparks up in the air to indicate, whoever it was had someone to work with.

Zane looked around at all of the ribbons going up, but they were answered before he could draw his wand. He didn't have time to get a partner before the lights went out and now he was stuck with a map and no one around. "What am I going to do, I need to earn more points." he thought.

Rachel watched as everyone found a partner except for her. Then she noticed someone else without a partner who she happened to actually know. "Hey Zane. Need a partner?"

"Rachel, you need to find and older student and bring them out of the maze. You have to use the Firsitan spell and shoot sparks to navigate them out." he called over to her. "Watch for a ribbon going up to find a partner.".

Celandine saw the square shaped ribbon and smiled before casting some golden sparks to indicate where she was, "Firsitan!" She watched her sparks shoot up into the air. Wooo they went high!


Tick tock? Oh... did that mean that Cela didn't need to hurry or that she should? Eeeep. Oh CT! That... yeah! Cela cast the spell again, thinking of green. "Firsitan!" Wait what was that?

A... heart... or another square? Or.... an arrow pointing left! Yeah! But no! Cela looked at the little map; Plymouth had to go right according to it, so she sent up some red sparks.

'Left it is then...I hope he knows how to read a map well, this is taking forever!' Freya wandered around the maze a bit more, was it just her, or was she hearing voices? 'I must be getting close!' She sped up a little bit before coming to another dead end. Freya hit the wall of this one too, and it opened like the one before.
As Freya entered the pathway, there were five routes, she shot her ribbon in the air again. 'Far left, left, middle, right, far right'. She sighed and waited.

Rian sighed when she saw red sparks go in the air. She took another deep breath and turned left. Her head swiveled right and left as she looked for more paths. Finding none, she kept walking. She was starting to think there was a dead end...and the thought wasn't comforting.

She closed her eyes again for a brief second, then started walking again. Finally, she came to a stop, but there were two places she could turn. One to her left and one straight ahead. "Hmm..." she murmured, "Risona!" Should I takethe left? Rian frowned to herself as she looked into the maze ahead of her.
