He spotted the blue sparks amid all the red and green, and Copernicus grinned. Brilliant! Now he knew where she was standing. He took a few steps forward and hit the first choice. Left.... right... It was up to his precious little partner. He sent up the ribbons. "Risona!"

Left?

Ooh! Words! Jake hoped they were Liz's but he'd answer nonetheless.

Jake looked at his map and scratched at his head for a second. What was she doing? And more importantly, which dot was she?

Grrrrr... this would be alot easier if I didn't move about and pace like a lunatic.

Right, ok... Liz needed to go right, which meant red sparks, so Jake tried to repeat what he did the last time. Maybe this time he would say the colour.

"FIRSITAN... reeeeeeeeeeeeed!" he practically begged the wand, saying the "red" a lot quieter. But alas, Green sparks were flying. Jake closed his eyes and breathed deeply through his nostrils for a few seconds, before opening them and slowly turning towards the demon wand.

"I... said... Firsitan... RED!!!!!" he yelled at it. To his surprise, Red sparks burst from the business end of the wand, but in his loose grip it shot out of his hand and hit the floor, firing sparks upwards, then making an arc of red sparks towards the next exit where Cameron was.

"Oops..." Jake started whistling again as he picked up his wand. Act natural, because you'd totally be whistling in the middle of this situation... Right. Jake held his wand and properly concentrated on the shade of red which had just fired around him.

"FIRSITAN!" he yelled, jabbing his wand upwards. Hopefully Liz would get the message after the second lot of Red sparks, which Jake meant to cancel out the green.

"A fair few left, mind you..." Jake muttered to himself as he started to make sense of the map. He side-stepped left and then right. Good, that was him, unless Liz was passing her time by doing a ho-down.

Spotting the green sparks in the air, Kayla about faced and walked back to the point where the fork was. So assuming that he had wanted her to go left in the first place, she now headed that way. Ugh...she really hated mazes, she would have really sucked at the Triwizard tournament that's for sure. Thank god there were no monsters in here...no he was on the outside giving her instructions.

Oh goody another fork in the maze. Swishing her wand once again and saying the incantation, "Risona" she sent the ribbons up into the air. 'LEFT.'

Abby walks over to a Gryffindor boy who is standing alone. "Hello, I'm Abby Wright. Do you need a partner? I'm a fifth year in need of a younger man." Abby smiles.

Ana saw the message and looked to the map. Yes it's left she thought. Ana raised her wand "Firsitan" and this time green sparks show up.

Copernicus spotted the green sparks from the same spot the blue had come from. He needed to keep that spot on his radar at all times or he'd lose her. He turned left and headed straight down a long passageway with no turnoffs. Well.. this could either be very bad or very good news. It ran into another wall at the end. "Risona."

Right?

Looking up, she sees red, ok that means head to the right. Heading toward the right, she starts off. When all of a sudden green sparks fly up right where the red sparks were.

"What!" Liz stops midstep, then thinking okay maybe red must be it, then Liz turns around. Turning around too fast, puts Liz off balance, and starts to fall over, "Risona" she says in the midst of the fall. "Ahh! Which one red-right or green-left. ahhh..."

Ah. Love of his life, that Anna, kept bumping into him. She'd actually bumped him pretty good, especially considering how he'd been looking straight up in the air for a sign from Celadine. What he was waiting for was anyone's guess though. After making sure she was physically okay from their little bump, he checked himself over. All was good.

So, as he looked up to Anna's question, "right?" it read, Plymouth nodded vehemently at her. He moved to stand underneath it and point to himself. INDEED. He was right. Right there. Right. Plymouth was RIGHT for Anna.

He was suddenly in NO hurry whatsoever to get out of the maze. He raised his wand and sent Cela a message, it read,

"Cla, tke tock." It was supposed to say, "Cela take your time." It failed miserably. He was going to have to somehow translate squares and jumbles -- or follow someone else out. He eyed Anna.. and tried again. He wanted to stay with her, but he didn't want her to think he wasn IDIOT either... This time he did get a "CT" in the air. Cela Toussaint. "L?" went up next, but it looked remarkably like the heart he'd made for Anna.

before he knew it Anna sent another Right up into the air. Michael quickly checked the map - she needed to go left this time!

Firsitan Red! Michael cast for no - but nothing happened!

oh no - It was Cameron's whoopy cushion wand that had everyone laughing now!

Concentrate, focus, clear your mind - "Firsitan Red" Michael pronounced very clearly this time. At last red sparks filled the air!!

Great!! He had walked a few good metre. Then she saw another message coming from the place where Copernicus was. No, left. again she said the spell and Red sparks appeared. Hope you see this partner she thought.

Jake used the tip of his wand to scratch his head in confusion. She's mucking it up. I do all that perfectly, and now look.

Jake couldn't remember for the life of him which way Liz was meant to go... he freaked out. Backing up a tad, Jake aimed his wand into the air. "FIRSITAN!!!!!"

Brown sparks and their trails lit up his face, showing the confusion in more ways than one.

Blech, she can pick a direction, I'll rectify it later... Wow... pretty colours... Jake became mesmerised by the sparks and ribbons around. Ooh...

As Anna waited for Michael's signal, she watched Plymouth, who was checking to make sure both of them were alright. "I'm fine," Anna whispered, not wanting to disturb any of her classmates. "Are you alright?" No words from Plymouth were needed, though, for he'd moved to stand in a position which clearly indicated him as being "right." Anna could help but to laugh out loud. This was one of the many reasons Plymouth Morgan was a cutie. Anna shook her head in confusion as Plymouth sent up some sort of cryptic message to Cela. They must have created some sort of code, because Anna had no clue what Plymouth's message read.

Before Plymouth could send up any additional cryptic messages, a spark from Michael shot through the maze. Red---which meant Anna was supposed to turn left once again. "Well, left it is," Anna said, turning towards Plymouth. "Are you coming?" With that, Anna turned left and proceeded through the maze. Oddly enough, Anna had only taken a few steps when it was time for her to call to Michael once again. At least she was sort of becoming pretty good at this ribbon spell. With an upward swish and a silent Risona, Anna sent up a ribbon spelling out "Right?" once again.

Looking up, as she gets back to her feet. Liz sees brown sparks. Brown! she thinks, shocked.

Ok, maybe, he's saying I've gone the wrong way. Let's see, the first one was red, so let's turn around, go right, and then left for the green. So retracing her steps she heads back out from where she was takes a left then a right... Isn't this where I started...Nah, couldn't be... she says heading toward the opposite end of the long hallway. Coming to a corner, she turns, and sees a fork.

"Risona" Do I go left?"

Herminny stlill needed a partner so she asked the all of the upper class students if they would team up up with her. Surely one would help her out, Herminny thought.

Now that, Jake thought. Is a very good question.

Jake looked down at his map and tryed to work it out. Liz had just totally back-tracked, and as far as Jake could tell, she should have gone right form where she'd been.

"So... if she goes left here, I can meet that path... dum de dum... laaa de daaaa... we're alllll in thiiiis together- FOCUS!" Jake snapped out of that stupid song mode as he shook his head, eyeing his wand.

Yes... we want left... green sparks...

Before anything, Jake pressed his ear against the magical wand of enchantment, but he wasn't quite sure what he was listening for. Ooh, maybe it was like one of them glowstick thingies, where you snapped it and shook it.

I am NOT snapping this! That nice lady at the wand shop would go all dragon on me!

Instead, Jake held the wand tightly, and away from himself, and shook it. Get the magic flowing and the splinters connecting and so on and so forth...

"Firsitan!" Jake yelled, directing his wand upwards, willing for his wand to get the message and "listen" to his brain.

He had done it. Ok, so the sparks were a little more on the Turquoise side, but it was better than brown, and they were still Slightly Green. And at least he said the word right and intentionally shot off the sparks. In fact, Jake felt quite proud of himself... until one last blast of the sparks blested him backwards.

So, his wand made one thing clear:

You ever shake me again, I'll blast you backwards and into the freakin' Lake... in winter.

Evil wand.

Heidi found Marcus on the map, and waited for him to shoot up his name so she would know he was ready. Finally, she saw his name, and she shot up some sparks. Next, Marcus shot up once again with his ribbon. When she spotted Left, she pointed her wand in the air and green sparks came out. Marcus' dot was moving in the right direction now.

Dominic listened up as the Professor had informed them of their next activity and ultimately - their homework. Oh this was going to be fun, trying to make their way through the dark with only the spells they just used! And how could she stick him - an upper year - in the middle of a complicated maze with the only confirmation of his going in the right direction be from a lower year and her sparks? What if she gave the wrong color?

Nonetheless, he figured he best get started and the first thing to do was to confirm whether this particular first year really was his partner and to make sure she could see his messages.

'Risona' he swished his wand upwards, sending up the following:

If you are Dominic's partner, then send up golden sparks.

Elizabeth had been looking around, after Professor Pierce said they needed to pair up with a younger student, and inwardly cursing the fact she hadn't met very many. She hadn't seen Raiden in forever, and then she hadn't seen Rose in class either. But as she glanced around, she saw another young Gryffindor girl, and stood up to go over.

"Hi," she said to the girl. "You look like you need a partner. I'm Elizabeth. And you are?"

While she waited to see if the girl would respond, the lights went out and she heard Professor Pierce's instructions. Rolling her eyes, she waited a second before trying to figure out how to contact the girl,as the lights came back on to reveal she was inside a maze. Thinking hard, she flicked her wand upward, casting the spell as the words "If you are Elizabeth's partner, send up red sparks" appeared from the ribbon that came streaming out.

This was bad. Sakura didn't really know any older students, well ones above third year anyway and was nervous about approaching someone. Oh well hopefully someone would approach her so she could join in the fun or whatever they were doing. Unfortunately as this happened everything turned dark and she suddenly found herself separated from all the other students.

Barry was in the middle and he needed a partner. He said the spell Risona in his head and a blue ribbon apeared above his head. It formed the words Anyone want to be my partner? Its Barry here

Seeing the message in the air Sakura quickly called out "Firsitan!" making sure to send up green sparks in the affirmative. She was relieved when it worked. She hoped he would agree to be her partner since she was pretty sure that "Barry" was her cousin Barry.

Edie smiled and nodded her head at William's question.


"Brilliant," Edie thought as she looked around seeing nothing but maze.

She had to send William a message and they had to communicate with each other. Edie said, "Risona" in her mind as she moved her wand in a upwards swish and out of the wand formed the words:

William. It's Edie. If you can read this, send up purple sparks

Ruby was hoping that she would find a partner the way Sakura did she kept an eye out for any ribbon's in the air, she kept a watchful eye on the air she wanted to get out of the class room...

Barry then moved towards the way the sparks were pulling him. But before he knew it he bumbed into a maze wall. Ew there were incects in there. He brushed them off and thought the spell Risona and another blue ribbon apeared. Thanks for joining me. Towards you then what?Red for right. Left for green. And double red if I went the wrong way. were the words formed by the ribbon.

Wha? Oh dear. How had she managed to not get a partner. Great. She decided to try what Barry had tried.

"Risona", she said firmly, following with the upward swish, all the while thinking out 'does anyone need a partner' and 'green'. Her head kind of felt like it was going to explode, but it worked so it was worth it. Now she'd just need to wait. Which reminded her. She really really hated mazes.
