Anna smiled and nodded, answering Plymouth's silent question that yes, he was indeed the cutie. It certainly was true. Boyfriend or not, Plymouth Morgan was just precious. Anna liked the way he treated her. He always let her have his seat, even when it meant he had to stand up for long periods of time. Oh, and there was that time she'd dropped her books, and he'd practically bent over backwards to pick them up for her. Cutie? She thought so.

Anna watched as Plymouth spoke the incantation to send another ribbon into the air, this one taking the form of a...heart? That's what it looked to be, at least. Anna smiled as she watched it flutter, and when it got close enough, she caught it in her hands. She then coiled it into the palm of her hand, placed her palm flat out, and then softly blew the ribbon back in Plymouth's direction.

Since she had pronounced them before, she knew what it would sound like in her head. A certain plus when it came to Kaika. She sighed and hoped to get it right this time.

"Ris-ON-a" was the pronunciation she thought of, and while she was moving her wand like she had before, a different colored ribbon appeared, it was green, which was very weird to start with and the words simply read...

'Currency Converter'

She had an eyebrow raised as she looked at what her own head had formed. Clearly, Kaika wasn't over that. But she shook her wand and watched the words disappear.

"On to our next activity! Will everyone please find a partner, one upper year and one lower year." Alex called with a slightly shifty grin. She was up to something...

Cadence stood up and looked around nervously, terrified to approach one of the older students, and decided to wait for one of them to choose her.

Freya looked over to, Chris who was on the other side of the room and made a few gestures. First to herself, then to him, all the while mouthing, 'Want to buddy up?'

Ruh-roh... why did this not sound good?

"Erm..." he said uncertainly, standing up. "Any takers?" Jake grinned.

Youuuuuuu idiot.

He knew some of these people, but he decided to wait for someone to choose him as a partner. "It'll be amusing..."

William looked up as the Professor spoke about partners. That was one thing he wasn't looking forward too. He stood there looking around for an older student who would be kind enough to partner up with him. At least he could walk around. Thinking he'd better say something he opened his mouth, "Any older student want to be partners?" in a slightly loud voice, his young face looking hopefully.

Rian looked around at the Proffessor's next instructions. She frowned as she looked across the room, seeing a lot of shy-looking younger students. Well, she could relate, so she decided to take matters into her own hands and ask to be partners with a younger student.

Seeing a young-looking Huffie, Rian walked over to her. "Hey, I'm Rian," she said, blushing slightly and hoping the girl hadn't seen her stupid ribbon. "Wanna be my partner?" she asked, smiling warmly.

Twilight had to really concentrate to even get the order of things correct. She sighed and said "Firstan" and then thought of color. But what color to choose from. O dear here it gets complicated.Her sparks ended up changing between colors and what looked like crystals.

She was glad when the professor said they were going to team up. Who would choose her she wondered.

"Oh crud." Zane said. He didn't know any of the upper years, so this was going to be an interesting assignment.

Edie smiled at the younger student and walked over to him.

"Hello, my name's Edie. Want to be my partner?" she asked the First Year with a friendly smile.

Oh Merlin!! They had to choose a younger partner the wee little ones who had no control over their wands yet. She could see a disaster in the making here and lots and lots of fireworks...literally.

Kayla looked across the room, all the young ones were waiting for the older students to make the first move. She chuckled softly to herself. "I don't mind who I partner with. Whoever comes over first."

Sure! Cadence said beaming at the girl. My name is Cadence. she extended her hand toward the older girl. You're the first Ravenclaw I've actually spoken with, I believe...

Plymouth was all sorts of happy. He would have liked to have had the ribbon for keeps - keep it on him all the time. Tie it in her hair. Touch her hair... It had to smell ...

Oh. Teacher talking again. Plymouth listened. "UPPER... to... lower? Darn." He SO wanted to be with Anna. No worries though. He looked around and soon found himself a little partner.


"Cela? Be mine?" Plymouth asked, complete with a short bow and offer of his hand.

Anna stopped giggling and sat up straight when the professor spoke once again. She listened as the professor gave directions for the older students to partner up with the younger students. Anna really didn't know any of the younger ones. She sat quietly in her seat, hoping maybe someone who didn't have a partner would come along soon.

Abby takes out her wand and looks around at the other students. Some of them seem to be having problems with this Risona spell. Abby's not too sure about having to perform the spell silently. She hasn't had much practice with casting spells without saying the incantation out loud. Game to give it a try, Abby points her wand straight up and performs a upward swishing movement while saying Ris-O-N-A over and over again in her head. Nothing happens. What did I do wrong. I did the upward swish movement, and I said the incantation over and over in my mind. I wonder if I didn't say the spell right. "Ris-ON-A?" No that doesn't sound the same way as Professor Pierce said it. It was more "Ris-on-a." Yes that sounds right. Abby aims her wand up to the ceiling again. She performs a upward swishing movement while she says Ris-on-a Abby Wright over and over in her mind. A blue ribbon appears and swirls around and forms a ribbon pattern similar to muggle ribbon candy. Well, I did make a ribbon appear. Now I need to work on concentrating on my name since that's what the ribbon is suppose to swirl around and form.

Abby listens to Professor Pierce. Terrific, I don't know any lower students Abby looks around hoping a first or second year will have pity on her and offer to be her partner.

He actually sighed a huge sigh of relief. "Sure I'd love too." he said before adding in a somewhat shy voice, "I'm William, nice to meet you." He looked at her for a moment before asking in a quiet voice, "Are classes usually this interesting? I'm only asking because in grade school before I came here younger kids stuck to their own." He said.

Looking around, Liz looks for a partner. I wonder if Chalice is here... she thinks to herself.

Rian smiled and shook the girls hand. "Pleasure," she said cheerfully. She chuckled at what the girl- Cadence, she'd have to remember that...- said. "Really? Well, congrats," she said with a laugh.

Upper and lower? Lyra looked over to the little ones on the other side of the room and wondered who she would pick. Her green eyes looked around as she twirled a piece of her hair around her finger.

Celandine nodded and took Plymouth's hand, shooting Anna a slightly bemused look before pulling herself out of her seat and checking that she had everything she needed. "That ribbon thing? That was cool! You could show me how to do it later?" Celandine suggested before a musing look came over her, "Or I could ask... Cale to help me."

Jake sank back down to his chair. Nope... no-one, nada, zilch, zero.

I'll just wait till there's no-one left, and people are forced together. No way am I approaching that lot. No!

Twiddling his wand around, Jake got up and turned so he knelt on his chair, facing the students.

SuperCam frowned when he heard another student saying that he did something wrong, it was really indeed an EPIC FAILURE. Buuut he would do it now, yeah that's right! With his batman-cape action move and with his pose he was about to yell out loud the spell but the professor had then told them it was time to move on. TIME TO MOVE ON?! He didn't even manage to make a 5ft. dragon sparky thing! An older student with a younger student. Oh, this was going to be hard, a loot. There were some people there and that.

"OIII! SUMONEE?! ANYONE?!" He eyed all of them older students like an owl. Surely one of them might want to partner with him.

oh this was great - I'm going to die of embarrassment and the 1st week isn't over yet! I was just starting to enjoy myself too!

Trouble was Michael barely knew anyone at all, although his Gryffindor Prefect Anna always seemed very friendly particularly to the younger students. Perhaps she wouldn't really mind?

Approaching Anna he finally announced "Hi I'm Michael, would you mind teaming up with me?"

"As IF," Plymouth rolled his eyes. "His toupee would eat you and I'd have to hack my way into it to get you out, little thing you." Plymouth was glad he had - you know - THE smartest girl in the WHOLE school as his partner. He was gold for just relaxing now. And watching everyone else (and mostly Anna). "Cale Newell is NO Plymouth Morgan," he mumbled. "And Plymouth Morgan will teach you everything you need to know." Clearly. When the teacher wasn't looking (or he hoped) he did the little ribbon spell just for Cela, trying for a star and ending up with a square.
