Transfiguration - 1.5 Alex took a deep breath and rubbed her temple for a second before continuing. "Alright, now on to the lesson. For those of you under fourth year, we will be learning the wand sparks spell. A very useful spell which can be used to call for help or just to signal to somone else. For fourth years and above, you will be learning how to conjure ribbons and form them into words, like so." Alex flicked her wand over her head and a long crimson ribbon appeared to snake its way out of her wand and formed the words, 'Like so.' above Alex's head. "Now before I give you instructions, any questions?" |
Chris shook his head as Prof. Pierce asked if they had any questions "I dont ma'am." he said with a smile |
Mackenzie thought over what the professor had said for a moment. She shoke her head and said, "I don't have any questions, professor," with a smile on her face. |
Varius shook his head in response to the Professor. He was kind of gutted that he wouldn't be getting to learn the ribbon conjuring spell, but who was he to complain? He just hoped Hufflepuff weren't bound to lose anymore points for incessant chatting. |
Conjure ribbons and form them into words? Eh? Rolling his wand between his fingers, Clifford simply nodded at Professor Pierce. He didn't know when he'd ever need to conjure ribbons and form them into words.. but it sounded alright to him. At least, it didn't sound dangerous. He couldn't accidentally hurt anyone or blow up the classroom by simply conguring ribbons, could he? Heh. Who knows. |
Professor Pierce was visibly upset. And really, who could blame? The entire class had started to talk and talk as though they were in the middle of the great hall, when in reality they were in a classroom, waiting for a class to begin. "I've got no questions, professor." |
Livvy smiled at the professor. Transfiguration was fun, and she couldn't wait for there to be more stuff going on. "No questions so far, professor," Livvy said, shaking her head. She had her parchment and quill already to take some notes! |
"No, Ma'am." Freya said politely as she shook her head and waited patiently. At least she had been well behaved the first half of class....She sighed a little bit however, wondering what else they would be learning today. |
Emiliano shook his head in sign that he didn't have any questions. Conjure Ribbons to form words?? Nice.... |
Happy to hear that the lesson was about to start, Anna sat up in her seat and opened her textbook once again. She listened as the professor explained that the older students would be learning how to conjure ribbons and form them into words. Anna raised her eyebrows a bit, intrigued by the idea of sending along a message via a conjured ribbon. She watched as the professor demonstrated the procedure. This looked to be like another exciting lesson! Anna shook her head when Professor Pierce asked if there were any questions. |
Dang... Jake, deep down, knew they wouldn't have started off with the "bigger stuff" straight away, but he couldn't help but feel jealous of the older students. He shook his head to signal he had no questions. |
Set raised his hand. "I have one proffesor, what jobs after school stricly pertain to transfigaration. or is it just a useful skill fo ALL jobs?" Set asked. |
Barry smiled. Finaly something intresting. He was proud to be a older kif it paid off, it really did. |
Sneeze was a bit suprised by the reason that they were just learning how to make sparks come from their wands. He wondered if Hogwarts would ever have a "shop class" like at muggle American schools. He would be good at that. "No, ma'm. No questions." |
Zane was practically bouncing up and down in his seat, "No Professor, I have no questions.". |
Cadence shook her hand and delicately laid her wand on her desk, very excited to be in Transfiguration. |
Herminny took out her wand eagerly awaiting for the Transfiguration lesson to begin |
Alex nodded, "Good. For the lower years, your incantation is, Firsitan, pronounced Fir-SEE-tan, and your wand movement is sort of a jab in the direction you want your sparks to go. To change the color of your sparks simply think the color clearly in your mind, if you have trouble concentraiting on the color, say it allowed with the incantation." Turning to the left half of the class, she began to explain their instructions, "Your incantation is Risona, pronounced Ris-ON-a, and your wand movement is a upward swish, the ribbon will appear above your head and to make it form words, you must think them clearly. However, since you are more experianced than the lower years, you are not permitted to speak your words aloud. Are there any questions from either side?" she asked as she leaned back against her desk. |
Noelle nodded "Fur-ees-st--wait no." sigh "Firsitan!" she said and thought of the color green. |
Frowning in concentration as Professor Pierce went on to explain how their spell worked, she then nodded. Incantion was Risona, the wand movement was an upward swish and they had to think the words clearly. Think, not speak. "No questions so far, Professor." She mumbled with a small, tugging at her wand. EEP! |

The ribbon suddenly made that movement and it formed a K in the middle of the air. He blushed and let the ribbon land in front of him. |
Ris-ON-a. If there was one thing Clifford had the most trouble with when it came to casting spells, it was pronouncing the incantation correctly. Pronouncing it wrong could cause baaaad, baaad things to happen, and he really didn't want that. Nope. Ris-ON-a, Ris-ON-a. Oooh, not forgetting the upward swish too. Teehee. He was tempted to ask Professor Pierce what would happen if they accidentally thought bad words and spelt them out in the ribbon.. Hmmm. Perhaps not. |
Copernicus raised his hand. "Professor, if an older student is unfamiliar with the sparks spell, can we practice that as well, or would you prefer we wait to try it outside of class?" Two new spells in one class! Awesome! |
Harley rose his hand before trying the incantation, "Professor is there a way to change the colour of the ribbon?" |
Herminny proceeded to try the spell saying Fir-see-tan thinking of the color pink pointing up and was astonished she got it right and saw her favorite color go up in beautiful pink sparks. Herminny was thrilled |
