Antonio realized that Jack was seeing the same thing he was, that the visioin had somehow channeled, and that the other woman was Jack and Johns' stepmother. "That was my wife, Bethany," he said softly. Antonio tried to stop a tear from forming in his eye, and he tried his best. It wasn't good to cry in front of students, that was the last thing he wanted to happen. Especially not in front of Jack!

Jack nodded "At least she's still alive" Jack told him, he knew Dumont wanted to cry, he wasn't going to say anything though, or was he?

Antonio looked at Jack sadly. "Thank you," he said softly. He had a bad feeling about this, he was almost sure that neither Erin or Bethany would make it through that fire. Hopefully Jose would be able to explain in his letter why the two women were there, apparently they had all three been lured there by the evil people who were cursing the Moiser family. Since Antonio had tried to help Jose so many times, he figured that was why Bethany was involved. He cursed himself, if it hadn't been for his foolishness she would have never left, would stilll be alive today. He thought she had just left him, apparently there was more involved, he should have known! At least he still had Antonia, who he would protect at any cost.

John who had just got over the vision of his brother in the fire. Saw the owl first and rushed of the professor lap and other to where the owl was. Hopefully it would have a good responce from Jose. "Professor, I think Jose has replied to the letter" He smiled and passed the letter to the Professor. "Can you read it to us, please" He begged as he got back on the Professor knees.

Antonio looked over the letter and then read it out loud to the two boys. "I'm afraid the news isn't all good, but at least your brother is safe," he said. "This isn't very helpful, though, and we are going to have to search for that piece of the letter that's at the bottom of the lake, I'm afraid. Apparently Jose has not yet received the earlier letter I sent him, where I offered him money to come home. That owl is a much slower flier than Bernard, I'm afraid."

Jack stood up and walked over to Dumont "I know how hard it is to understand why they are there, but they are, now you know why I have to go?" Jack asked, wait. Had he just been sympathetic? Jack almost jumped back in surprise.

Jack then nodded at Dumont "I'll go for it, I can find it easily" Jack told him,

"The letter?", Antonio asked. "Are you talking about the letter at the bottom of the lake? Jack, I can't possibly let you do that. You've already lost one brother, I won't allow you to put yourself in that kind of danger!"

Jack nodded "Fine" he said "Even though I'd rather die to save Jose" Jack told him, a tear was in the corner of his eye

"I understand," Antonio said. "I feel the exact same way about my daughter. It's only because we love them and they mean so much to us that we feel this way. It shows we are human." Antonio smiled. He had been right about Jack, he was no Tom Riddle to be but simply a very gifted, misunderstood child in need of a friend.

"Jack didn't you read the letter?" Asked John. "It says he is fine and now the only thing we need is to find out if Liam's letter is in the lake of if he has hid it somewhere else in Hogwarts" He turned to the Professor "Do you think he could have hid in anywhere or do you think it is in the lake?" He didn't know which idea he liked best.

John wondered how much longer the detention would be. He asked the Professor. "Is there anything else you want cleaning whilest we are here?" He didn't mind what he did for this Professor, he thought to himself that if he had the right equipment then he probably could get the room looking spotless though it didn't look like it ever would be spotless.

Jack nodded solemnly, he moved towards the bathroom and picked up the toothbrush, as he scrubbed the green gunk, tears fell fast and thickly into the bath

"You boys can stop cleaning," Antonio said softly. "Let's just take a few moments to collect our thoughts. A lot has happened here, and I certainly didn't expect this detention to end this way, though maybe it's good that it did. I think we all know a bit more about each other from this experience. Jack, you are free to change your clothes."

Jack dropped the toothbrush in the bath and laid on the floor crying, he didn't bother changing, he was too upset, he kept crying, and crying and crying, it was never going to stop was it?

Antonio spoke softly. "Jack, it's okay. You've had a hard life, but it's going to get better. I promise you both that it will." There was nothing more that he could say or do. Sometimes words got in the way, and all he really needed to do was let Jack know that he cared, that he understood.

Jack curled up into a ball "You can't promise that" his voice was muffled through the tears, all he needed was a hug, no-one would dare hug him though. Ever. Since they all thought he was evil and obnoxious.

John got of the Professor's knee and went over to Jack. "I believe the Professor, if he says it is going to get better then it will get better." He hugged his twin when he saw how much he wanted one. "Come on you know you want to get out of that clown suit" He hoped Jack would change out of the clown suit.

"Professor when we leave here, do you think I should take Jack to the common room for a goodnights sleep?" He wondered what the Professor would say but he was sure that Jack would feel better after a goodnights sleep.

Antonio sensed a need in Jack, and hoped he was doing the right thing. He was in such distress, so much pain! He walked over to where Jack was curled up on the floor and put his arm around his neck, patting his shoulder. "I understand, and it's okay," he said. "We can't promise anything in life, but I really do think we're going to solve this mystery and break this curse somehow."

"I think we can all use some sleep after we get out of here," Antonio had to agree with John. "It's been quite a day."

Jack's tears seemed to slow a little, he nodded at John "Please" he answered to both questions

Jack seemed to move uncomfortably when Dumont put his arm around him "I thought you hated me, why are you being nice?" Jack asked "I know you think I'm a spoilt brat" Jack mumbled

John wondered if Jack wanted some help getting out of the clown costume. "Do you want some help getting out of the costume." He asked Jack nicely. "And don't worry when this is other we will both go back to the common room and have a nice rest, whilest Professor Dumont goes..." John stopped he hadn't any idea where he slept surely he didn't sleep in his office.

Jack turned to look at John "Please" he looked at the floor "I want to see Sak" Jack told John "Even If I have to break into the common room, I want to see her"

John help Jack out of the clown suit trying to make sure that Professor Dumont didn't see Jack underwear. he then put the robe onto Jack. When he heard Jack say about wanting to see Sak, he smiled at him. "I am sure the Professor can send a note to her saying that you realy want to see her." He turned to the Professor. "You can do that can't you?"

Antonio sighed. "I don't think you're a spoiled brat, not now and maybe not ever," he said. "I think you're a terribly misunderstood but extremely gifted young wizard who basically has a good heart deep inside the rough facade, and that you've had to endure more than almost anyone should even ask, both of you. I don't hate you at all. I never did hate you, even when you were wreaking havoc in my office. And I'm glad that everything has come to light, and that I know who you really are now, no matter how painful it may have been. At least it turns out I was right. I'll make sure that you get to see Sakura," Antonio said. "I wish both of you well, and you, too, John, with whatever girl you are interested in." Antonio had heard a rumor that John had a girlfriend as well, though he didn't want to delve into that. "And yes, I will send a note to Sakura right now, letting her know that John is fine and that he really wants to see her. Is there anything you would like to add to the note?", he asked, offering the parchment and quill to Jack.

Jack sighed while sniffing back his tears, he had a plan, but no-one would know

Jack sniffed "Misunderstood? Really?" Jack asked, he was on the verge of crying again "I'm so..." Jack had to swallow "s...s... upset that I messed up your office, I hope you can f...f..." now this word was forbidden? "find it in your heart to forget about it" Jack said ashamedly "Thanks" he took the quill

Jack stopped "Where though?" Jack asked

"Yes, I can do that," Antonio said. He knew that Jack was trying to say the word forgive, but he knew that this was as close as he was going to get to saying the word he considered forbidden. He smiled, he certainly forgave Jack whether he could say the word or not.

"Have her stop by my office," Antonio suggested. "Unless you would rather meet her in the Great Hall or on the grounds."

Jack smiled sadly "Thanks, I think I need air, I'll go for the grounds"

Jack folded the note and handed it to Dumont, hopefully it would be soon.
