"Hmmm, what?" Jake looked around to where the Headmaster had pointed and tilted his head slightly as they walked. "I grew up as a muggle," he nodded, trying to work out where he'd seen a poster like this before. "Yeah, sir... I suppose it does..."

And on with the ~~trepid adventure~~ ~~quiz~~ walking. Leading on again, perhaps in his haste to get things done, Jake nodded. "Yeah, and, like, in our Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson, a few of them showed up and was, like, saying some kind of riddle... But they never let anything more than a little amount of information slip."

Jake inwardly reeled over the selective loose tongues, so to speak, of the ghosts, and let his thoughts wander off for a second. He looked round at the Headmaster just before they reached the fourth floor corridor. Had Jake told him his name? Merrrrr, couldn't hurt... even if he would probably forget. "I'm Jake Upstead, by the way..."

Vaelle flicked her hair impatiently back behind her shoulder. Time for a drastic haircut she thought, just in time to give her mother a heart attack. Perhaps a buzzcut would give maximum shock value and remove all distractions.

Peering down, Vaelle made sure her wand was still poking out of her bag, within arms reach. Not that she'd used it much all term, poor thing.
