| | The Right Door (read DADA FINAL POST #7 FIRST)
The door opens into an empty, dimly lit corridor. A simple sign hangs before you: Quote: You chose wisely. Take 5 points. The best weapon in your arsenal is constant vigilance -- a keen, aware mind. Please move forward through the final door. Use whatever magic is at your disposal to get there safely.
As you walk forward, the floor begins to slope downward until it is nearly impossible to walk. As you begin to slide, you will notice a foul and distinct odor in the long, dark corridor. A hail of dangerously sharply spiked gobstones begins to fall from the ceiling, emitting their noxious liquid as they pelt you.
ooc: If you RP your student making it to the door, click the door in this post.. If not, please go to the chicken exit. Again, please-- no cheating! |

| Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Elizabeth walked through the door on the right, finding a dim corridor behind it. Looking up, she saw a sign, and a smile crept onto her face as she read it. Positive reinforcement was always good. At least, it gave her a better feeling about whatever she was about to face. At least if she could choose right here, it meant she was more likely to succeed elsewhere.
As she kept walking, she noticed the floor sloping downward, until it was hard to keep her balance. Sliding a little, she reached out to grab for the wall, trying to control her descent in any way possible. But then she had a worse thing to worry about, as spiky gobstones started falling from above. After a few hit her, she started to get exasperated. Pointing upward, she cast "Impedimenta," hoping it would keep her from getting any more bloody and smelly.

Daniel pushed the door and saw nothing but a dim room and a sign saying that he made it to the right door and got 5 points. He almost jump for joy but he didn't for he remembered that it was still his finals. He was almost puked when he smelled the odor.
He then proceeded and noticed a downward sloping of the floor, he continued until he slipped and slide his was through. He then was struck by darkness and in that darkness he used his keen sense of hearing. In not so far below, he heard a sound, sound of something falling. He had remembered their exercise on falling acorns, and he then yelled "PROTEGO".
The shield charm was a blast. It worked perfectly just before he neared the falling objects, and as he looked up and saw what was falling it was spiked gobstones.

Before going through the door, Kayla flicked her wrist and her wand slid into her hand and she felt so much better having it there. She made her way through the doorway and headed down the corridor after a moment she felt the floor sloping and it was difficult not to slide on the stones. She gripped her wand tightly in her hand and suddenly smelt a very foul odor coming from overhead. Looking up she could see a huge number of gobstones and they were starting to squirt their foul liquid down onto her.
Sweeping her wand in an upward arc towards the gobstones, and ending with a sharp snap of her wrist as she cried out the incantation. "Protego." With her shield cast over her, Kayla continued down the corridor to the next door.

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ Squinting in the darkness as he walked through the door, Raiden moved forward slowly, wand in hand. Never know what to expect in anything relating to DADA after all... why was the floor getting so steep? He tried to stay on his feet, but started to slide...
OWIE. Something hit him in the shoulder, cutting straight through his robes and into his skin. What was THAT?! And it smelled horrible... He eyed the object just as another hit his wand arm and left a nice two-inch slash in his skin.
"Ow!" he muttered, slightly panicking. He put his left arm up to protect his eyes and looked up; more were coming. Just...wonderful. As one hit his left arm and bounced down to scratch his face (spraying icky-smelling gunk as it went, too!), he raised his wand and, with an upward arcing motion, shouted. "Protego."
Oh oh, snap your wrist, he reminded himself. The sharp things falling from above him bounced off the Shield Charm; keeping his wand up, to keep the shield in place, Raiden looked at the slash on his arm and winced. Nothing he could do for it at the moment, though. He moved quickly down the corridor toward the next door, hesitating only a second as he reached it before moving forward. |

| Mrs. Alex Turner *asterisks user* Secret Door Just before passing through the door, the Prefect had reached out for her wand that much, but right now, she felt alot safer holding on to it.. She was never one to use her wand that much, but in this moment, she felt alot safer feeling the wooden, magical stick on her hand.
The momentarily smugness for getting the right answer disappeared intermediately once she saw her surroundings. Oh yes. As creepy was it could get, this was. Though Evangeline knew that chances were it would get much more creepier. She very nearly lost it when the floor became far too slop to safely walk on. Oh, come on!! She fell over enough with a good, proper floor. Baaah. Crinkling her nose at the smell coming from the gobstones above her head, Evangeline tried to hold on to the wall as she sweep at wand in an upward arc, ending it with a sharp snap of her wrist. "Protego!" She hoped the shield charm would be able to keep her from getting any dirtier. Eww. With a deep breath, she continued to do a sorta of walk-ish!slide-ish thingy down the corridor. |

| connoisseur of comfort ❅ Crayola's Wibby Mrs Alex Turner ❅ Netflix and meow He'd chosen the right door!? Wow. Impressive. That 'eeny meeny miney mo' thingy actually worked! WOOHOO! After reading the sign, Clifford headed off down the corridor. It was pretty spooky down here, but he was a big, brave man. Hmpf.
The floor was getting way too steep for his liking now, and Clifford clung to the slimy dark wall in the attempts to stop him slipping anymore. And EWWWW! what was that STENCH!? He was used to smelly things.. his socks after Quidditch training were AWFUL.. but this was worse. Much worse.
... and somehow it got even worse.
Something was falling on him from above. What it was Clifford didn't have a clue, but they hurt that was for sure. He hissed in pain when something spiky left a gash on his right cheek and quickly drew his wand. "PROTEGO!" With that sweeping arc and snap of the wrist, he somehow managed to cast a shield.
With his free hand, Clifford gingerly touched his cheek and continued on his way. He was sooo going to sue for these injuries.

Qaz walked through the right door, wand in hand. She thought that the answer was false...constant vigilence was most important...that and being prepared for whatever happened.
As soon as she walked through the door, she cast a strong shield....just in case. It was a good thing, too. This was going to be part of the test.
The smell…yuck. And the floor…just think ice skates….soon something was falling from above. Ah…gobstones…spiked gobstones.
A gracefully as she could, Qaz slide down to the door and walked through, her shield still in place.

| ll Achmed's 2nd Keeper ll Team Jacob l l Otaku ll Sam paused at the door to read the sign. Awesome, 5 free points. Sam pulled out his wand as he walked down the corridor, aware that this was probably a test as well. Puff! Sam slipped on the slanted floor and hurtled down the dark tunnel. He lifted his wand, racking his mind for anything that might slow him down. Oh, gross! The horrendous stench threw Sam. He immediately forgot that he was flying down a rapidly inclining corridor.
A seemingly short second later, something hard and painful hit Sam on the head. "Owch!" He quickly made a sweeping arc in the air towards the entrance of the corridor, all the while sliding on his back, and made a snapping motion with his wrist. "Protego!" A glimmer of light shot across the air above his head as his shield reflected the hail of sharp, pointy objects raining down on him.
This settled it, he really needed to stop soon. Almost as if the corridor could hear his thoughts, Sam stopped falling. Unfortunately, he crumpled onto the wall at the end of the corridor instead. Sam, rather shocked, crawled to the door he was trying to go through. He fell threw it. |

Herminny got up turned in her test and walked in through the door on her right door and saw dangerous sharp rocks coming right for her and her eyes widen and her instincts to protect herself click in and she spouts out "protego" with confidence while snapping her wrist upward and she manages to make her way down and sees a door and was glad she had made it to what she could only think of to be the next step without getting hurt.

Nia smiled slightly smugly as she read the sign, though was wise enough not to think about her points for too long. She squinted around the room, mainly noting the angle of the slope she was walking down. It was getting quite steep, thank goodness her school shoes had good grip. But then they didn't grip anymore, and Nia noticed a horrid smell as she started to slide. Ewwww. What was that?
Then Nia slid most inelegantly onto her bottom, and feeling like a small child at the playpark, wondered what to do. What was causing that smell? Something fell on her, and she let out a small yelp. What was that? She was about to cast a light spell to have a look, when another spikey thing hit her. Nia knew she needed to protect herself before she drew blood. "Lumos," she muttered quietly, letting enough light emit from her wand to see where she was before ending the spell with a 'Nox'. She figured it'd be easier to protect herself if she knew what she needed protection from. Great, they were spiked gobstones. No wonder it was so ridiculously smelly.
With that knowledge, it seemed a simple shield charm would the job. She then just needed to use is like an umbrella, and focus her magical energy into not letting the spikes through and then make the whole shield fail. With a determined look, Nia did the wand movement with an extra sharp flick of her wrist and practically shouted "PROTEGO". Nia was not going to show an ounce of fear, even though inside she was shaking, and she headed towards the door she had seen when casting the light from her wand.
It took a whole loads of concentration, and her shield almost faded on two occasions. Nia was determined though, and as exhausted though she felt at the end (and in desperate need of chocolate) Nia held on and reached the door. She pretty much stumbled through, taking deep breaths and hoping what was the other side was okay (ish).

Via took the risk on opening the door on the right. She had no idea what things await her inside. She took a deep breathe as she set her foot inside and her gaze fell on a little sign above. She got it right? Nice guess.
It was poorly lighted and so she muttered Lumos to help her see well. “Lumos!” And a light appeared on the tip of her wand.
She took another step and glanced around her as she gripped tighty on her wand. The floor suddenly moved into a sloping action… uh-oh. She almost fell unto the ground and lose her balance but she managed to hold on the wall and use it as a guide.
But then as she moved along… what was that… smell? Uh… She have to get over this one so she bravely took the next step but there were again gobstones on the way. Not just gobstones but spiky one… was beginning to fall from the ceiling. One almost got her arm and she dodged it but still some of its spray hit her clothes… “Protego!” she yelled as she pointed her wand upward. There… she moved fast enough to get over with the falling gobstones and their sprays…

Lima walked through the corridor and smiled as she passed a sign over her head that said that she chose the right door. She kept walking, feeling proud of her. Then suddenly she felt the ground slope from under her and she felt herself start to slide downwards. And if that wasn't bad enough, something there was starting to smell. She put her right hand to her face, trying to cover the odor, then suddenly something sharp hit her. She winced and suddenly more and more things were falling on her.
She quickly took out her wand and held it up. yelling, "PROTEGO!" Now she had an intact shield and the hard objects were bouncing off. She sighed in relief and cast her gaze upwards, while still making sure to keep her focus. She noticed that the objects were spiked gobstones. She continued on this way until she reached the next door.

"Alright," Anna though to herself. "Here goes nothing." Anna stepped through the right door, hoping she'd made the correct decision. She considered tightly closing her eyes and holding her breath in fear, but she remembered all she'd been taught throughout the duration of the school year and thought better of it. After all, hadn't she just mentioned that the most important defense weapon was to be alert and aware and to assess and reassess the sutuation at hand? Riiight.
After she stepped through the door, Anna's eyes fell upon a sign hanging just before her. As she read it, a slight smile appeared on her face. Okay, at least she knew now that she'd chosen the correct door. That was a step in the right direction, no pun intended. Anna's smile faded as she walked forward and realized that the floor was starting to slope downward at angles she was unable to walk properly on. Sliding a bit, Anna found herself hanging on to the walls in hopes of staying up long enough to make it out of this dimly lit...poorly-floored....nasty-smelling area. Ewww, what was that smell? Anna wrinkled her nose, but otherwise did nothing. After all, with the condition the floor was in, Anna was really in no position to do much of anything. She'd just have to endure the stench.
Just when Anna thought she stood a chance of progressing without any other horrid situations occuring, she felt several balls of...something pelt her in the back and shoulders. Frowning, Anna edged away from the painful balls only to have more balls come down on her just as soon as she'd moved. Were these...gobstones? They were! Pushing her right hand off the wall, Anna grabbed her wand and made a sweeping, upward arc in the direction of the gobstones. With a sharp snap of her wrist, she called out a strong, "PROTEGO!" and focused on shielding herself from the painful gobstones. She watched as a shield formed around her, and she breathed a sigh of relief when she longer felt them pounding down on her. With determination, Anna moved forward, glad to be out of the rainfall of gobstones, yet fearing what lied ahead at the same time. In no time, Anna had reached yet another door. With her Shield Charm still surrounding her, Anna proceeded through the door.

| Finishing my post from this morning :P Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Surprisingly, given the amount of gobstones falling from the ceiling, Elizabeth's "Impedimenta" actually slowed them down long enough for her to slide past without them hitting her. And by now, several other students had joined her in the corridor, pretty much all of them taking the easy way out of using a shield charm. Even though, in theory, that charm only worked against magic cast against someone, as Elizabeth acknowledged to herself. Besides, she had already gotten hit by a few of the nasty little gobstones, so she didn't see how it mattered. Several showers later, she'd be fine.
After casting her charm a couple more times, she successfully got to the other end, skidding to a stop once the floor evened out slightly. And, with a single glance back, watching the projectiles bouncing to the floor, she opened the door in front of her and slipped through.

Mariel pushed open the creaky door and stepped into the corridor. She had already been confident of her answer and was certain that she had chosen the correct door, but the sign in front of her - as well as the points awarded - made her feel slightly more confident of the tasks ahead. Though careful not to get too relaxed, the second year tightened the grip on her wand in preparation of what lay ahead.
Walking forward down the declining floor, the young Ravenclaw squinted in the darkness, trying to determine the origine of the foul yet somehow familiar odor. A small shriek left her lips as she raised her arm to protect her head whenseveral pointed objects fell upon her. Sweeping her wand upwards ending in a flick, she commanded, "Protego." As the shield erupted over her head and she continued forward, Mariel then realized what that smell was - gobstones, spiked ones. Those were even worse than the acorns. They pelted off the shield she kept firmly in place as she came to yet another door.

| Made of Awesome | Ern-la the Best-wa | TZ's Apogee Copernicus pushed open the door and was immediately set upon by the most foul smelling little ouchy gobstones. He cringed back against the door for a moment before raising his wand. Now THIS was a spell that he'd had the opportunity to perfect.
"Protego!" He arced his wand sharply and flicked his wrist at the end, creating a tight little shield that protected the area right over his head. He zipped down the hall, watching the gobstones slide around him like so much deadly rain. At the far end, he put his hand to the door and left.

Lucy walked through the door and read the sign. Yeah 5 points! She began to walk down the corridor. She hated the smell that was coming from the place. She felt like gagging.. She started to slip. She heard the sound of something falling and looked up. Sharp, spikey, gobstones were falling towards her. She quickly took out her wand and pointed upward. "PROTEGO!" a golden shield produced above her. The gobstones came down and hit the shield, but fortunetly, did not hit Lucy. She soon made it to the door at the end. She sighed. "That wasn't to hard." She said smiling.

She made it though the door, and at first she was sacred, but she wasn't going to screw this up. She slipped on the floor and the first gobstone bounced off her head and spewed that liquid all over her head. With a sharp sweeping arc. "Protego!" she shouted. Her shield burst out of her wand and protected her. She walked quickly to the other door and took a deep breath and then opened it.

| The REAL Sorting Hat: "Ravenclaw!" This monkey is bananas. William walked through the door, his face set as he glanced aruond at the corners, as if expecting something to jump out at him and snatch him into oblivion. Nothing happened, except a foul stench piercing his nose, making him scrunch his face is gloom. Covering his mouth with one hand he began walking down the longish looking corridor, his wand out at the ready. He didn't know what to expect but was suddenly out of his element as the floor began dropping.
Being extra careful now he slid a bit, his hand steadying himself as he stopped, and looked up as a hail of extra stinky gobstones fell from the ceiling. He ducked his head but too late as one hit him on the head. "Ow." he grumbled before remembering his wand. He swept his wand sharply as he shouted "Protego!" a shield bursting to life, blocking most of the gobstones from his head, but not before a few more hit him.
He slid some more, dropping to the ground and hitting his kneecaps off the stone floor. He grumbled, his wand held tight, concentration on his face as he got back up glancing to see if the spell was still in effect. He could see another door close to him and knew he had to go through it. Finally making it as he slipped and almost fell again he put his hand on the handle, taking a breath as he opened it.

Entering through the right side door, clutching her wand just in case..this was DADA after all,Sarah came into a dimly lit corridor.
A smelly,dimly lit corridor.
What was that smell?!
Squinting at the sign in front of her she let out a little "woot" as she saw that she had made the right choice.I amaze myself sometimes,my ability to guess things always comes in handy.
Walking along and feeling out in front of her,Sarah became aware that the floor wasn't what you would call flat and straight. It seemed to slope downwards and away from her,and it wasn't stopping. Oh hell this is bad.Very very bad.
Scrambling to stay on her feet, while not dropping her wand, she heard a rumbling noise from above.Oh what is going on now?!
Looking up she realised that with hardly any light she wouldn't be able to see what was coming...and she didn't.
One..two...three..they hit her.Sharp and smelly object falling from the ceiling. "OOOOWWWW.What the blooming hell is that?!" she screamed putting her hands above her head to try and protect herself. Then she remembered she was a witch...Well Dur! "Lumos!" Sarah shouted, aiming her wand upwards with a snap.Light filled the area around her so she could see what was going on.Is that...is that gobstones? Ewwwww yuck.
Keeping one hand above her head she cast her wand down the corridor to see how far away she was from the next door. Not far,a few metres.Noticing that the floor was covered in the slimy goo from the gobstones,Sarah got an idea.
Letting the light fade Sarah cast a new spell,a protective one. "Protego!" With a sweep of her arm her shield was in place, and seemingly keeping the gobstones at bay.
Concentrating as hard as she could she sat down in the goo (damn the robes I'll wash them later) and shoved herself forward.Sailing down the corridor she went and a-crashing into the next door she went. "Owww,at least I got here." Standing up she pushed it open and hoped something better lay beyond.

Cela read the sign and frowned, of course it was right. She took a moment to look around before continuing, she had no intention of walking into some kind of trap. She sniffed, making a face at the smell. Something gross was up there.... or down there? Celandine could feel rather than see, the subtle change of the floor. It was beginning to slope... she shuffled her foot around... juuuuuust here.
Having no intention of sliding into a pit of goop, Cela cast impervius on herself before holding her wand aloft, "Lumos!" It was dim, and her light helped. She still hadn't taken more than a step from the doorway. What were those? Celandine held her wand so that she could see... wait she had to get past those? Piece of cake, right? She'd done it in class with acorns!
Alright. Well she couldn't use her light and her shield at once, so Cela flicked her wand, "Nox." At least she knew what she was in for, and if she got hit, the spikes might hurt but she wouldn't get any of the goo from the spikey stones stuck to her. She decided to run, leaning forward to keep her centre of balance low and easier to control on the slidey slope.
Here goes.
"Protego!" Cela made a sharp upward arc with her wand, snapping her wrist sharply and widening the arc to make the shield larger. She'd be fast, she wouldn't have to hold it long. She took off down the slope, managing a controlled skid and adjusting her position so that her centre of gravity remained constant as the slope got steeper. The spikey things bounced off, and she concentrated with all her might to keep her shield steady.
Cela hit the door and burst through it at a great speed.

| Wowza! This wasn't good. Not good at all.
Perhaps she had chosen the wrong door. Perhaps she had been wrong on chosing the door she picked - it was the only reason why the girl could think of why there was no one else around.
Wait. What was written on the sign?
Squinting her eyes as she read it, the fifth year could not help but to feel a little relieved; she had been right, apparently. Yet, she was still concerned - the place was almost completely dark, and she could still see nobody else. It seemed she was alone.
Willow took a deep breath, as she started to walk forward.
Almost instantly, one of the most horrid smell she'd ever smelled in her entire life -and she had smelled some horrible things, considering that Willow had three older broters- hit her full in the nose. It was absolutely disgusting. But that was not at all, because before the Ravenclaw could do anything to stop it, she was basically sliding down the corridor, and clinging to that wooden stick she called wand, for dear life.
Trying as hard as she could not to scream when something hit her elbow, the girl looked up with a horrified expression on her face, only to see a rain of gobstones coming at her. "PROTEGO!" Commanded Willow, her voice a little louder than necessary, as she sharply sweeped her wand, making some sort of arc.
Panting and hoping that the shield charm would not start to falter anytime soon, Willow wandered down the corridor to the next door.

Ana entered into the corridor. Holding firmly her wand she started to walk through the corridor.
Suddenly the floor started to slope. Ahh! Not good! she thought. Ana fought to stay on her feet. She slid a bit and then smelt something. What on earth is this... she thought but almost fell.
The gobstones started to fall from the celling More!! What do I do?! What do I do?!
And then she remembered the acorns and yelled "Protego!" with her wand pointed to the ceiling.
Ana ran to the door trying to pass through the crazy floor and the sharply spiked gobstones. She reached the door and opened it in less than a second.

Jaimine walked through the door and almost shrieked with excitment when she saw she had chosen properly. She didn't however, the floor was slipping beneather her and she could barely breathe the noxious air. She pulled her vest over her nose and gathered her hair into a tight bun with two srunchies from her wrist. She began to move along because there would be no escape and she would not turn back like a chicken.
Jai lit the tip of her wand and looked around, the ceiling was falling.... no those were gobstones one fell right before her and the liquid squirted out at her. She squealed and blinked furiously at the putrid smell, another was aiming for her but she skillfully stepped forward and for good measure performed the shield spell just before it hit the floor.
Jaimine held her shield for as long as it would hold and luckily for her it held until she got to the door oon the other side of the corridor, or whatever this place was.
