With her hand still resting on her cat's back Nancy's attention was again caught by Jake who had started to swing his legs back and forth, back and forth, back and-
Nancy pulled her eyes away from Jake's feet again since those swift movements were making her slightly dizzy. In search for something else to look at Nancy's blue eyes scanned the room for something interesting but they again fell on Jake, this time on his face, though. What was he doing?! Her brow furrowing Nancy watched Jake making funny faces with a incredulous look on her face. Weirdo. And Jack had actually thought that Nancy was crushing on Jake?! Gee!

Nancy was only half-listening to what Jake was babbling on about since right at that moment she'd remember something which had happened at Diagon Alley the other day. Hadn't Jake been the one who'd tied Kevin and Jack's shoe laces together?! Which probably meant that he was good with pranks as well, which furthermore meant that maybe he could help her with her revenge on Hailey. Cutting Jake short who was just talking about his mother not being married or something like that Nancy asked, "Jake...uhm...I think I need your help or..." Hey, wasn't he friends with that other Slytherin girl she'd met once?"You know Paris, don't you?" Maybe she could help her.

Completely ignoring Kiri and Chloe who was still slightly confused as to who exactly Jake was Nancy continued to stare at Jake impatiently waiting for him to reply. Maybe this was her chance to work out a proper revenge-plan.

When Kyle responded to her statement, saying that girls wouldn't want to talk to him she lifted her large, blue eyes to Christine. Cam tried to look innocent as she spoke.

"What do you think Christine? How does it make you feel? Clearly we aren't female enough to count." She stated lightly, then turned to Kyle and winked. She didn't really mean anything by it. She was just teasing him. One of her favorite things to do was twist people's words around. Next her attention turned to Reed.

"Yeah, I recently got kicked out of the school over in Biloxi, Mississippi...so I had to transfer. Both my mom and my aunt went to Hogwarts though. They were both in Slytherin...so I imagine that's what house I'll be put into." She stated and shrugged. They usually put families into the same house, right?

Kyle smiled at Reese. "Yeah met her a few days ago as well." he said laughing. "We just clicked and been friends ever since." he said putting his arm around Chrsitine and smiled. He nudged her and wigled his eyebrows and took his arm away from her. He looked back at Reese. "If you stay with us then you wont be bored." he said matter-of-factly.
He looked at Cam and laughed. Shaking his head he nudged her. "Stop it stop it" he said raising an eyebrow at her. "Actually I think you and Christine may just be the prettiest girls here and im not just sayin that becuase you two are the only ones ive met." he said jokingly. He was one of those guys that looked at personalty more than looks.

"Kicked out" Reed said with a smile on his face. So she was a bad girl eh? "What did you do?" he was curious he wouldn't have pictured her mischievous but then again you can't judge a book by its cover.

He figured she'd probably be in Slytherin too, seeing as how you normally were put where your family had been.

Then he listened to what Kyle was say. "I have to agree with him, about you two being two of the prettiest ones here." Reed said smiling at both of the girls. That was definately tryue.

Christine rolled her eye at Kyle. Well girls are never going to chase you around if you keep thinking like that. Christine leaned forward and lightly punch Kyle in the shoulder. Christine turned towards Reed. Yeah hufflepuff is the best house there is. Well, I might be a little bias, but its still the best she said shaking her head up and down.

"OH! Don't feel bad Kyle. I'll just go stand in the hall out there and practice scratching myself in inappropriate places, and burping. I really am terrible at belching. If I'm going to be a dude now you may have to tell me the secret behind a good burp." She babbled, grinning over at him. Cam didn't move an inch though. She knew he had merely expressed himself badly. He'd not meant anything by it. But she was having fun teasing him.

Her lips twitched slightly as Reed asked why she'd gotten kicked out. It realy wasn't as bad as all of that, but her mom would kill her if she found out that Cam was running around telling everyone what had happened. What mama doesn't know won't hurt her. Cam told herself lightly, and looked over at Reed.

"Well it really wasn't that bad. And I think that the headmistress was completely overreacting...but anyhow, half of our house Quidditch team had flunked out of History of Magic. The headmistress told us all that if they didn't get their grades up they wouldn't be allowed to play any more. So me and two other girls on the team helped a few of the guys cheat on their tests so they would be able to play the championship game..." There was quite a bit more to her being kicked out...but that had been the final straw...and they hardly had time to go over her entire school history. She could get into that later.

Christine laughed at Cam. I guess not. Maybe the girls at Durmstrang were girly then we are Christine said with sarcasm. She Rolled her eyes at Kyle when he said the Cam and herself were the prettiest girls he'd seen. Sure, Kyle. Your just saying that so we don't run off with the first hot guys we see. Christine smiled at Reed when he agreed with Kyle. Why thank you Reed. Hey, would you like to go run off and leave Kyle to himself? She asked him while laughing.

Hey I got kicked out of my old school too Christine said with a smile on her face, happy that she wasn't the only one. Although I'm glad I did, I hated it there.

Jake was being watched.

His eyes went wide when he realised that that Kiri girl was downright staring at him, and then the one that just woke up- Shana, was it? -was whispering about him, being all shifty, like.

Looking out of the window, Jake's face darkened as he watched them all in the reflection of the glass. When he heard Kiri laughing, Jake reached into his pocket and deliberately held the now awake Lolcat in his had, so the "playful" cat caught sight of the pygmy puff Kiri held in her hand. Lolcat mewed loudly and chose that moment to lick his lips.

Bringing his feet to an abrupt halt, and blinking fiercely a few times, Jake turned to look at Nancy, who had spoken a little to him earlier, and he decided he may as well listen to her now.

"My help?" he said, grinning. But then his face fell again. "Oh yeah, I'm a Misfit- I mean to say, of course I know Paris..."

In his head, a mocking voice rang out in a babyish tone.

Ooh, we don't wanna be friends with you! You're all weird, we only stick with our own, you can go now.

Almost listening to the voice, Jake was about to stand and leave, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Everywhere he'd been today, he'd got in an argument, and he wanted to prove it had nothing to do with him.

Shut up, you. His better mood countered.

Kyle laughed at what Cam had said. He looked at Chrsitine. 'I believe Miss Cam is giving guys a bad name" he said and cocked an eyebrow at Cam. He laughed. "What you think?" he asked looking back at Cam.

Kyle laughed. 'Do yall want me to go chase after some girls then?" he asked jokingly wondering if they wanted him to go get more people. He laughed at the thought. it was getting pretty crowded in here anyways.

"Ahh, thats not too bad" Reed said to Cam. he guessed that more had happened but he figured that if she had wanted him to knwo she would have told him so he wasn't going to ask.

Then he turned to Christine. He laughed as she said somethign about leaving Kyle. he wondered how long the two of them had been friends, they sure did seem pretty close.

Then he listened to what else she said. "Oh really you got kicked out too?" he asked her with a grin.

Kyle shook his head. He was geting ganged up on. He laughed still shakin his head. "Yall are sooo funnnyy." he said jokingly and rolled his eyes. "Maybe I should go out in the hall and just leave yall here." he said getting up he didnt intend to go anywhere but it would be funny to see there reations.

Anna laughed at the silly banter going on between Cale and Evolette. What a thing to already be jokingly arguing about---house points. House points made her think of the end of last term, when Gryffindor had fought to the end to win the house cup. They'd finally succeeded, which had just made Anna's school year. Thinking about last school year's house points race only ended up causing Anna's thoughts to drift to her good friends Astrid and Nico, though. They'd moved away over the summer with no plans to come back to Hogwarts. It sure would be nice to see the two of them right now. Anna considered mentioning the subject to Evolette, but she thought better of it. Evolette already seemed to be bothered by something, so Anna figured bringing up faraway friends might not be the best idea.

When Evolette started addressing her again, Anna snapped out of her thoughts and nodded when Evolette mentioned them not seeing one another for a while. "It has been a while, hasn't it? Well, we'll make up for old times now. We've got an entire school year ahead of us!" Anna exclaimed. Anna eyed Evolette suspiciously. She wondered what was going on with her, but she didn't ask. The middle of the train was probably not the best place to discuss anything too personal.

Are you leaving us Kyle? Christine asked him putting as much sadness in her voice that she could. She pouted out her lower lips and made big puppy dog eyes. She wiped her had across her eyes as if she was crying. She couldnt keep the smile she was fighting back from spreading across her face. You'll be greatly missed she said while laughing.

She turned her attention to Reed. Yeah I got kicked out, but I went to a muggle school so it wasn't my fault. It sure wasn't her fault. She didn't know she was a witch and couldn't control her powers.

"Well I suppose we can either work on making better girls or we can just give into the man vibe that we're clearly giving off." She pointed out, then looked to Kyle when he said she gave men a bad name. "Hey. I make a great man thank you. I'll show all y'all up." She insisted, and stuck her tongue out at them. It was too bad she was already in a skirt and heals, or she'd have hunkered down and done her best to act butch.

"Well if you think you could fit any more people in here then I'd say go for it." Cam responded brightly. She knew that Kyle wasn't really about to go out and pull some more people into this compartment. They were crowded enough, and everyone seemed to be content enough with the present company. No point in mixing anything up. Right?

Kyle laughed and looked at Cam and Chrisitne. "Um actually I just want to get some snacks. Want anything?" he asked and headed out to the trolley.

Christine Laughed at Cam. Yeah I guess I can be more guy-like she said as she sloched in her seat and lowered her voice as low as it would go.

Well aren't you nice, offering to get us something from the snack cart. And I didn't even have to suffer through my personal bubble being violated this time Christine laughed as she answered Kyle. I am pretty hungry, so sure if you insist.

Juniper grinned broadly at Issy, giddy tears filling her eyes. “It’s meee, Issy,” she said, taking deep breaths to stay calm. She really could not be happier to be back. Nothing beat a friend like Issy. Not even Africa. And definitely not a squished person. Juniper scrambled to her feet the moment she realized she was squishing Issy. A squished Issy would be a bad thing, especially when Juniper had just been reunited with her.

“Don’t worry, Isabella Cortella,” Juniper whispered. “I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.” Except Hogwarts.

The fourth year glanced around the compartment. Uh. There was Kovac, and… a bunch of people Juniper did not know. Lovely. Well, at least there was no lemur thief, and Nakato was safely on Issy’s lap. And she was on her way back to Hogwarts. Never mind that she was in a compartment with one friend, anti-nature girl, and a bunch of strangers.

Nevermind that at all.

It had been a long time, Issy noted, since she'd felt so elated. Wiping her eyes, her tummy quivered with happiness and her head felt airy and floaty. It had been far too long since Issy had seen Juni. One should never go so long without seeing her best friend, after all. It didn't seem right or proper. As Juni stood up Issy noted that she, like everyone else, had grown taller. Having not seen her best friend for so long, though, Juni's growth seemed even bigger - she seemed so TALL suddenly! And Issy, still, was so short.

As Juni vacated Issy's lap, Flower scuttled up Issy's leg, taking the warm spot and curling into a ball. The compartment, Issy noticed, then, was full. And squashy. Terry, Hugo and Vannie all sat, squished, on one side of the compartment, while Willow was on the same side as she and Juni. Even the animals seemed squished.

"Sit down, Juni," Issy urged, as if that would make matters better. But what if they had a sudden stop and Juni went flying into the glass door? That'd be AWFUL!

Wiping the rest of her tears away, Issy glanced back up at Juni and noticed a weird movement. Eyes widening, she sucked in her breath quickly, possibly loudly.

"JUNI!" she hissed. "There's... SOMETHING IS IN YOUR HAIR!" she hissed loudly, a flailing gesture towards Juni's curl. "SOMETHING IN YOUR HAIR!"
