Kyle made a puppy dog face at her. "Forgive me" he asked batting his eyes and laughed. "Anyways. Yeah I remember now but what exactly do you want to know?" he asked running a hand through his hair amd looking back at the window. Himself wasnt his favorite subject but Christine did have the rigbht to know about him. He smiled looking out the window and then back at her. "Ok welllll.. since you tore it out of me. I am..." he looked at his hands and whispered. "A nymphadora." He looked back at her squinting. He hated admitting it and wondered what her reaction would be.

Clack, clack, clack. Her favorite heels collided sharply with the ground as Cam meandered through the corridors, looking for somewhere to sit. She'd managed to get to the train late, thanks to her mother who had to dig through her entire closet before finally picking something to wear. What did the woman expect? To find another husband? How ridiculous was that? Cam rolled her eyes, and took another few steps, stopping next to a compartment. Sucking in a deep breath, Cam pried the door open, and looked inside. The compartment wasn't quite full yet. Perfect.

"You mind if I sit in here?" She asked one of the figures inside, and smiled politely. She did her best to make the smile reach the blue eyes that she'd inherited from her mother. She needed to look sincere, to put forth an effort to get along with people. She'd promised her mother that she wouldn't get kicked out of this school too. If that happened...well...the consequences would not be good.

Nancy continued to stroke her cat in which was still lying on the seat next to her while trying her best to keep it from pouncing on Kiri's Pygmy Puff. For now this wasn't too hard since Chistery's attention had been caught by Jake's cat which had just disappeared into the boy's pocket. A grin flashed across her lips as she watched Jake sit down on the seat opposite of hers. Lolcat! Weird name. Just as she was about to open her mouth to ask Jake who had thought of that name her blue eyes fell on Kiri who looked like she was about to cry right now.

Nancy's eyebrows shot up and she bit her lip very head to keep herself from running out of the compartment. No, please don't start crying. Nancy hated whiny people. If Kiri was going to start to tear up right there Nancy would be out of that door in a second leaving nothing behind but maybe a bit of Chistery's fur. Eying the girl slightly alarmed Nancy tried her best to put on an indifferent look as she turned back to Jake who was currently introducing himself again. Uhm...okay...With one of her eyebrows raised Nancy asked him, "Wait. Why d'you have two different surnames?"

The 13-year-old let out a sigh of relief as Kiri continued their conversatoin like she hadn't just almost started to cry right there in the middle of the compartment. Whoa, some weird people she was sitting with today. Giving the girl a small smile Nancy replied, "Oh, yes, I'm already so looking foward to be back at Hogwarts. How about you?" Then her eyes started to twinkle slightly in excitement as she added, "Yes, a lot of new teachers. Thank Merlin we got a new History of Magic professor." She rolled her eyes at Kiri before she continued, "I'm already really curious who our next headmaster or -mistress is going to be."

That was the moment Shana woke up with a start and started to stare at Jake in confusion. "Well, did you sleep well?" Then with a nod towards Jake she added, "Oh, that's Jake, by the way. He's...uhm...well, Jake."

Kyle looked up at the sound of heels coming across the floor. It wasnt usual for heels to be heard. He peeked out but didnt have to because seconds later a pretty girl was asking to sit with him and Christine. He smiled and waved her in. "No not at all." he spoke smiling. "Hey names Kyle Montgomery." he said putting his hand out there.

Hmm, a boy! Cam thought excitedly. She could almost hear her mother's voice protesting in the back of her mind. Her mother would definitely not approve of this. She'd rather Cam make friends with some nice girls, and stay out of trouble. But really, what had happened back in Biloxi hadn't been all her fault. Her mom was just worrying too much. Cam smiled at the boy as he offered to let her sit with him and his friend, then levitated her trunk into the room. They were on the train, so she was allowed to use magic...right? Not that it mattered too much to her. Cam levitated her trunk up into the rack then sat down next to Kyle.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Kyle." She commented, unable to keep that southern drawl from her voice. She smiled politely, and shook his hand hand. "Cambri Hale. But my friends call me Cam." She introduced herself, then tucked some of her curly, dark hair behind her ear. Once she'd gotten her hand back, Cam leaned back comfortably in her seat, and crossed her legs all proper like. Mama would be so proud! She thought only slightly sarcastic.

Kyle stared at her. She had a country accent. He smiled when she acted proper. He had never met someone like her. This was going to be interestin. "So are you from America then?" he asked her and shrugged. "Your voice." Ahe lookd a little younger but not much. Probably the same age as Christine. He nudged Chrsitine who was on the other side of him. She was quiet but he guessed there were other reasons for that ( )

"I am indeed. I live in Astoria Mississippi. I've been going to school in Biloxi until now...but had a bit of a problem with that school last year, so I transferred to Hogwarts. Mom isn't terribly happy with me actually." She confessed. Sure, her mom wanted her to stop giving Hales a bad name, which she would do out of respect. But that didn't mean she had to pretend she was some kind of goody-goody. Anyway, she wasn't going to make any friends by lying to people.

"So what's Hogwarts like anyway? I mean, I've read about it a bit, so I guess I know the basics...but are all the students goody-goody's like my mom would have me believe?" She asked Kyle curiously. Cam smoothed a hand down her skirt, and jiggled one of her feet anxiously. She hated sitting still, the lessons of manners never had really stuck with her. Cam would rather be outside running around than be cooped up inside worrying about some cotillion with her mother.

Jake began swinging his legs from where he sat, which he could get away with, because being so short they couldn't reach out and hit anything. As he did this he began blowing air to fill out his top lip and cheeks, and then back again. Over and over. It was a bad habit that reminded him of a fish or a frog, and he knew should stop doing both very soon.

Nancy was talking to him, asking him a question. "Erm," Jake started. "I used to be a Blackly-which by the way, has no links to the part infamous Black family" Stop sounding so posh! It does not work with a London accent. "just thought I'd add that in- and that was my mother's name. But I don't live with her anymore, so I decided to take my fathers name. It's definately his name, I saw it in some letter. But yeah, my parents didn't get married, which was lucky..."

Quit rambling on... with any luck you might just keep squirrels out of the conversation with these people! Jake thought franctically to himself. He finished his statement with a nod, and concentrated on swinging his legs, keeping an eye on that monster cat.

Please don't start your stupid mew-sic, Jake prayed to Lolcat, giggling out loud at his own joke.

Ooh, the girl had woken up. Jake smiled at her and nodded his greeting.

Kyle looked at her. Studying her. Even though she was acting so proper he noticed that she looked to be in pain for acting like that.. almost in pain. He smiled. "A trouble maker eh?" he asked raising his eyerows. Him and Gabben were the troublemakers of the school they went to last year and was glad there were other trouble makers. That way if they got kicked out then at least someone could carry the deed for them.

"Missisippi?" he whispered not remembering eer learning about that place. She had asked abotu hogwarts. "Well actually Ive never been there myself. Me and my best friend Gabben.." he would introduce him but.. "Well he's off running after this girl BUT we got kicked out f Drumstrang." He said shruging. "We are a bit of trouble makers as well."

"Hey!" Cam tried to look offended. "I'm not a trouble maker! I'm just a bad judge of character!" She argued teasingly. Sure. It wasn't her fault. It was all those hooligans she called friend. Right? HA! As if. Still, it was a decent lie. You'll have to think up a better one. She remarked silently, and grinned. Trouble maker was the wrong word. Cam didn't go out looking for trouble, and she didn't go out trying to prank people...trouble just seemed to find her.

"Then I guess you and I can figure it out together." Cam suggested. Well at least she'd found one prospective friend. Kyle didn't seem like he'd be a complete bore. He had a sense of humor, and wouldn't run off when she got herself into trouble...as she always did. He was a trouble maker himself! She almost asked why he wasn't out chasing girls with his friend...but clearly there was no use. Girls seemed be pulled to his compartment.

Christine looked at Kyle with a confused expression. She had no idea what a Nymphadora was. Um, see I grew up in the muggle world, so I have no Idea what a Nymphadora is. She could not help but notice hoe uncomfortable Kyle was looking, so she decided to lighten up the mood. Its not contagious or anything, right? she asked as she covered her mouth and tried to scoot as far away from him as possible.


Christine was glad that there was more people in the compartment. Her goal was to meet more people this term, and she seemed to be doing a good job so far. Hi, I'm Christine, it is nice to meet you. The girl said she was from Mississippi, the United States. Christine had never met anyone from the United States. Hogwarts is great. There are some students who are "goody goody", but there are also ones who go out of their was to cause mayhem Christine said with a laugh, thinking of all the craziness that happened last semester.

Kyle laughed at Christine. "No! its not. " he said smiling. "Ill show you what it is." he said and concenrated. He didnt have a hold on it yetbut couls still turn his eyes and hair. He turned his hair a dark red color and his eyes a bright blue. "im only half because my mom was one but my dad wasnt." he repled and looked back at Cam. "Not a trouble maker huh?" he asked in disbelief the way she tried to act proper but it didnt work was an excuse to use to tell her she was. He could tell she wanted to say soemthing else. 'What?" he asked looking at her. He looked back at Chrisine. "I think we all are goig to get along really well." he said laughing.

Reed had spaced out for quite some time. He had asked to come into this girls compartment and then just sat down and spaced out. What was wrong with him. He snapped back into reality and notcied that there was also someone else in the compartment. "I'm sorry about that." he said appologizing for spacing out. "I'm Reed" he said introducing himself to the two people in the compartment.

Kyle looked at the boy he had introduced himself to earlier. He must have spaced out. "Hey im kyle. Space out there?" he asked

Kiri didn't know what to think of Jake anymore. Yes, he had a knack of creating uncomfortable situations for her. He was too different for Kiri, from his cheerful voice and mismatched clothes to the name of his cat. And he couldn't sit still, either, she noticed, as the boy began waggling his legs about and making funny faces. Kiri guessed that she was probably more childish than Jake in her characterisation of him, but she really couldn't help it. He was a strange kid. Even as she watched him (not too obviously, she hoped), he began giggling loudly for no apparent reason. The concentrated look on his face as his legs swung back and forth made Kiri smile.

She turned to Nancy, her mood gradually rising again. "I didn't know we were going to get a new headteacher as well," she said, surprised. "I wonder who it's going to be... One of the old teachers? Or a completely new person? Anyway", she went on with a slight shrug, "we should have an interesting year."
Shana was stirring in her seat as well, looking around confusedly. Kiri smiled at her. "Sleep well?"

"It's a pleasure to meet you Christine." Cam smiled, then laughed as the girl continued. "Well good. My mom has been so weird about this whole transferring thing. I half expected all Hogwarts students to be running around with halo's. Don't get me wrong. I'm not about to go out and light stuff on fire. But people that think house points are the most important thing drive me a bit nuts. Honestly, live a little!" She babbled, then turned to Kyle.

A metamorphmagus! She'd never seen one of them before! Even if he was only half, that was still awesome! It was only years of lessons on matters such as these that allowed her to keep her eyes from bugging out. It wasn't polite to stare, and she had a family to represent. Cam couldn't very well go and making them all look ridiculous by staring at people every time they use some magic.

"Oh I was just going to ask why you weren't out chasing girls with your friend...but I think the answer is pretty obvious." She explained. She never had been terribly good at biting her tongue...and had never really seen the point. When the other boy spoke up Cam laughed softly and grinned at him. "I'm Cambri Hale. Call me Cam." She introduced herself.

Christine mouth popped open in shock when Kyle changed is eye and hair color. Her mouth then went up into a smile. You are soooo awesome she said in amazement. I wish I could do that. I'd walk around with a new hair color everyday.

While she was smiling, the other boy in the compartment made his why back to earth. Christine chuckled at him. Welcome back she said with a hint of laughter in her voice. Its nice to meet you Reed. Are you new to Hogwarts like these two? She asked gesturing towards kyle and Cam.

Christine turned back to Cam. There are the student who are like that. But most of use try and earn the house points out of pride for our house. It gets pretty competitive. But once you get sorted you will see what I mean.

kyle looked at Christine when Cam had asked him the same uestin she had. He gaped and turned his hair back to its reagular color and then his eyes. He looked back at Cam. "The answers obvious?" he asked bewildered. He had no idea what she was getting at but then turned back to the guy sitting with them. "We lucky huh?" he asked and gave him a wink.

Yeah i did sleep well thanks.So ermm whats been going on? How long was i asleep? *whispers*Who's that boy swinging his legs and making funny facesShana didn't know what to think of jake.She woke up to a weird boy sitting infront of her swinging his legs,making funny faces and Laughing loudly when no-one said anything funny.Shana really wanted to make friends with kiri but she felt quite shy being around someone whose name she didn't even know so she decided to stay quiet and count how much money she had then attempt to work out how much more she would need to buy a pygmy puff.

"Yes, I don't know why I did, but for some reason I just got distracted." Reed told Kyle. Then he looked looked to the other girl that had spoken. "Well its nice to meet both of you." he told Kyle and Cam. He felt so out of it at the moment, still not sure why he had spaced out like that.

Then he turned to Christine. "Yea, I'm back now" he said with a bit of a laugh. It was actually funny that he had no clue what was going on. "Yes, I'm a fourth year, but it will be my first year here" He told her as-a-matter-of-factly. Just then he caught a very small glimpse of Kyle's hair and eye color changing. That caught him a bit off guard.

Christine looked back at Kyle. He seemed to get offened by Cam's statement. Of course the answer is obvious Kyle she said and then winked. With me around, why would you need to chase girls. She gave Kyle a big smile hoping that he would feel better.

Christine started to chew on her lower lip when Reed said he was new also. Well maybe you guys will luck out and get into Hufflepuff and we would be all in the same house. She hoped that herself, she needed more people to hang out with in the common room

Truth be told Cam was happy with her appearance. Sure she hated that breakout she always got right along her hairline. Her nose wasn't perfect...but she hadn't much a desire to change her hair color every day. She was happy with her long brown hair, even if it did get a bit frizzy on occasion. She lifted her hands to her hair, and combed it back off her face once her thoughts turned to it. pulled her hair over her shoulder, and began to work the mass into a braid, before tying it off with the rubber band around her wrist.

"Well yes the answer is obvious. There's no need to go chasing girls through the halls when they'll come to you." She pointed out. Sure that meant she was one of those girls that just fell into his lap...but she didn't mind the slight insult. It was true enough. She'd asked to sit with him, and had been flirting shamelessly since he'd agreed. She wasn't too proud to accept that.

"To think I'd been worried I'd be the only transfer in my year." Cam stated, and smiled over at Reed. Well at least she wasn't alone. Her fear had been that all new students would be eleven. But they weren't. She'd already met two others her age that hadn't been to Hogwarts before.

Kyle laughed. "Im not offended." he said reading her face. "But of course of course why chase girls when Christine's here to hold my attention?" he said laughing. He turned to Reese. "Nice to meet you too. Hw did you and Chrsitine meet?" he asked makin conversatin. He looked back at Cam. He laughed. 'Girls dont come find me. I could chase after girls but.." he shrugged. 'Dont think that any would really wana talk." he said smilling. "Its a fact."

Reed listened to what Christine said about being in Hufflepuff. "Actually thats what I'm hoping for" he told her with a smile. "My step sister was a badger and so I was hoping to be in her house" He told her. Seeing as how the other people in his family hadn't gone to Hogwarts he wanted to be in the same house that Jordan was in.

Then he looked at Cam. "Oh really? you're a transfer too." He said as a smile crossed his face. He had met quite a few people that he would be going to school with but she was the first tansfer.

He looked over to Kyle then. He was listening to the conversation and wondered if when he said something about Christine keeping his attention if he ment that they were dating but he decided it would better if he didn't ask. "Well we actually just met" He told him. "I was just looking for a place to sit" he said with a nod.

And soon enough, just as the brunette had been dreading, the transparent liquid started to fill Issy’s hazel eyes. Oh, was this not perfect? Not only there were animals all around the small compartment –Willow had just noticed the furry things—but there was people crying, too. Tears and animals in one single package. Very perfect, indeed. Perfect and Wonderful.

NOT!

Visibly cringing away from the tears that would start to roll down the girls’ cheeks at any second, Willow found herself sitting in the very corner of the seat, her face practically pinned to the glass of the window. She should have known better than to take seat besides these two. Why did people have to be so emotional? Crying was a completely uncalled for reaction that in her opinion should be penalized alongside with giggling.

Trying as hard as she could to ignore the two girls beside her –which was not an easy thing to do—Willow focused on her surroundings and the people she was sharing the compartment with. Yo? What kind of greeting was that? What an improper way to greet a girl. Trust Terry Saunders to come up with such a thing. “I am in not in a bad mood, Terry,” said Willow promptly, disapproval colouring her tone at once. “Have you not considered the possibility that maybe you are the one that puts me in the bad mood? It could be true, you know, seeing that whenever you are around I am not particularly happy” added the girl with a pleasant smile. That was not a lie—but it wasn’t true, either. It was just that Terry always happened to pop up whenever she was in a really good mood. “The very same,” she answered, eyeing Goodwin with corner of her eye. Honestly, who had a lemur as a mascot? Only Juniper Goodwin.

Upon hearing the shy voice from the equally shy looking girl with curly hair still standing in the doorway, Willow jerked her head to look at her at the same time she took seat beside Terry. Sigh. So much for wanting the short one to take seat beside her—that way if Issy and Juniper’s tears started to spill they would not fall on her clothes –Merlin forbid that from happening—so the girl would have worked as some sort of shield. Sadly, however, she decided to sit beside Saunders. “I am Willow. What’s your name?” Introductions were always a good thing when you were surrounded by strangers. Or at least they were sometimes.

And Hugo addressed to her, and this caught her attention at once. Noticing the way he had stand up, arms stretched, smile on his face, Willow had to take a deep breath to calm herself down, because she knew what was coming; a hug. Physical contact. One of the most horrible things in the history of forever. Or at least it certainly was for her…

… Or maybe Hugo was not going to hug her.

Maybe there was some justice in this world. Maybe the Gods had not ganged up against as she usually presumed they had.

Smiling a genuine smile now due to the relief she was feeling, Willow –who was still cringing away from the tears—addressed to Hugo, “Did you have a nice summer, Hugo?” Summer. Always a safe topic to discuss, for it did not necessarily had to include physical contact or tears.
