Now, when one has a small owl that's been trying to peck off the sleeve of one's tunic all day, one is not going to be the happiest Hufflepuff around. Thankfully though, he didn't have an annoying Slytherin tagging onto him like he had done in Diagon Alley.
Crashing down into a compartment, and accidentally setting fire to the corner of his muggle book, Sebastian Milan sighed. And almost set fire to the book again.
He failed.
Or sucked at being one of the coolest people around.

Becca made her way onto the train and walked down to the middle compartments. She found two compartments across from each other that were both open, and she took the one on the right. "I better not get stuck with some annoying little first years." That definitely would've ruined her mood even more than what she was expecting her arriving mood at Hogwarts would be. No Lainey at the staff table would be... devastating.
Hmm. Maybe if Becca seemed busy, the passing people would leave her alone. That was always a good option. Knowing her plan would more than likely work, she slipped a piece of parchment and a self-inking quill out of her messenger bag and began to write a note to send to Lainey. Good thing she had her new unnamed owl with her.

Tobi, always the first of his little circle of friends, it seemed, poked his head into a compartment and looked around. Seeing not so much as a stray Owl feather he smiled.
"Well, might as well save this one for the gang," he said to himself, stepping in and taking a seat, actually taking up as many as his tall rangy body could, which was a few, as he stretched out lazily across several seats, in the mind of taking a nap until one of "the gang" showed up.
You know talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness right? a nitpicky voice inside his head said.
Tobi ignored it and continued smiling.
This year would be different. This year he was a Seventh Year. He was on top of the pile!

While he was no longer a new student, fearful of everything, Elan was nevertheless feeling lonely. He walked (more like shuffled) down the length of the train looking for a good place to hide and feel sorry for himself. He shook out his sleeve to see the bracelet that had been given to him and he smiled to see Aly's name.
He found a comprtment that seemed to have a working shade. He drew the shade, turned out the light and just sat in the darkness, ruminating on the term without the person he cared about.
Sure, Lola was here, and she would be awesome. And Ella and Nia and the others, but what he really needed was something to take his mind from the last train ride. He took out the note his mother had written to him before his departure. He began to read by the light of his wand.

Aggie spun, avoiding hitting a young boy walking down the hallway with Jeeve’s brass cage. “So where should we sit?” she asked her owl who didn’t move from his hunkered downness inside his cage. “Alright fine, I’ll figure it out. You just - - just sleep.” A soft hoot was her response. Aggie rolled her eyes. Owls could be so grouchy.
Aggie peered into a few compartments, most of which had one or two people in it. She kept walking, used to having to find either a place to squeeze into (when she got to the station late) or find herself a nice empty place to hunker down with a good book. She passed by another compartment then paused and backed up.
She peered inside to find that Tobi’s lengthy form was taking up an enter side of the compartment. Well, that would just not do! Aggie slipped into the compartment, set her ornery owl down in a corner so he would slide around too much and then stood, towering over Tobi’s head for a moment with her hands on her hips. Her purple tennis shoe clod foot tapped the ground gently as she thought of what to do to him.
After a second, she simply turned around and without a word, sat right on his stomach.

Maddox, lugging Asmara's cage, Found and empty compartment in the middle of the train. What was the point of sitting in the back anymore? His best friends wouldnt be there. He was going to miss Nico and Astrid like crazy. 'Looks like there's no reason for me to get into any trouble this term.' He thought to himself and sighed. 'But of course theres always Kayla, and penny.' The thought of that made him smirk a little.
Maybe there was hope for this term after all.
Maddox hoisted Asmara's cage into the luggage rack in the compartment, and pulled out a snack for her. "There you go my love. Sleep well." Once she had gotten her snack he placed the cover over the cage so that his beautiful snowy owl could sleep. Now that she was was setteled, Mads pulled out his journal and started writting, hoping that one of his friends would find him soon.

Isolde, his own Owl or rather his sister's Owl on loan, was flying her way to Hogwarts, who wanted to spend hours on a train with a hooting menace like that?
Tobi exhaled a deep contented sigh, at the peace of his compartment and the general satisfaction with his life - Aggie's recent odd behaviour didn't even dim his happiness to be heading back to school for his final term.
And then something was sitting on him. Most upsetting of all - that something, a large, AT LEAST hundred pounds of something, had sat on his stomach just as he had exhaled, forcing more wind out of him in a, and making his lungs protest at the prospect of reinflation. His eyes flew open.
Who else but Agatha DeWitt was staring down at him with a self satisfied smile?
"Aggie!" Tobi wheezed, "Get off!"
Not quite on top of the pile....

Somewhere near the back of the narrow corridor, back glued against the wall, Terry inched along passageway, trainers digging into the floor. Mehhhh. One hand trailed his duffel bag behind him, stuffed to the brim with nummeh confectionary.
The prospects of running into any of his so-called friends, or Merlin help him, Evolette had frazzled his nerves. He was going to find a nice empty compartment, and stay holed up in there until the end of the journey. There was no other way about it.
EEEEE. Craning his neck, he thought he caught sight of a free compartment. Ready. One. Two. GO. Pushing away from the wall, he made a mad dash towards the sliding door, wildly shoving the door aside and sailing through. FREEDOMMM!
He stood to a stop. ...Only to have have his duffel bag excitedly fly through the hair and thwack him on the head. Nice.
But he was safe! Shoving his hand through his dark locks, Terry dropped himself lazily into the seats, kicking his bag under.
...And it looked like he'd be doing nothing but twiddling his thumbs this train journey. Ooh, joy. | |

The train should be getting ready to go and the whistle would have awakened me." Remembering where he was, he reached out and hugged her and smiled. "It's good to see you. How did you find me?" he asked her.

It read:
Elan extinguished the light and folded the letter and replaced it in his pocket and leaning against the wall, drifted off to sleep in the dark.
Set had been walking down the train all day just making new Hufflepuffy friends! He now came to a compartment with shades drawn. He walked up and peered in. There was just a kid sitting alone in the dark! He had to do something. So Set decided to go in and introduce himself! Set walked inside and tapped the drowsy boy on the shoulder. "HI, I'm Set! What's your name?" Set said. Set had never been shy, but sometimes he came on a little strong. He hoped that thats not what the boy thought, because he was just being nice. He waited for the boy to respond!
