"I suppose." Casper acknowledged grudgingly. "I didn't really know what to do. I think I accidentally sput crumbs at her, but I don't think she minded, really." His long sleeves fell onto the paper and smudged one of his lines. Peeved, Casper erased it and replaced it before continuing with Evolette's left sock.

"Strawberry? That's a girl flavor. My sister and her friends always put strawberries on their pancakes when they sleep over. I prefer lots of syrup. That's way more manly. I once ate salsa on a banana for a dare. It was nasty." The faster he talked, the faster he drew.

Wrinkling her nose, Evolette smirked, "A girl flavor?" she asked. "Well, what about blueberry? Or Cherry?" Raising an eyebrow, she started twiddling her thumbs in her lap. But upon his announcement, she gasped. "Ew!" she squeaked. "I'd rather have strawberry ice cream any day."

Her fingers itched to toss her hair over her shoulder in her patented Evolette McKenna hair flip, but she didn't know how far he had gotten, so she resisted. "How's it coming?" she asked, she was quite curious to see how he captured her on paper.

"Oh believe me, I would too. But I wouldn't get paid a galleon for eating that." Casper laughed. "I'm almost done, except I just need details. You can move a bit. I finished getting your exact position. Right now I'm working on the hourglass."

There was silence for a bit as Casper worked on a particularly difficult jewel in the corner that was proving difficult to capture. "So. Do you have any siblings to eat funny things with their friends?"

Evolette smiled with relief. "To be honest, that's the longest that I've sat still in a very long time." she said. She shifted her legs into a different position and ran her fingers through her hair, tossing him a smile.

He asked about her siblings and she chuckled. "Well, let's see. I've got three older brothers, a twin sister and a little sister." she said, ticking them off on her fingers so that she didn't "accidentally" forget about one, "My brothers are always eating." she added with a shrug, "Its a wonder we ever have any food in the house at all." Speaking of food, she really wanted a scoop of strawberry ice cream now.

"And you?" she asked, her fingers twisting into her curls, "You only have the one sister?"

So many siblings. Casper thought it sounded miserable. Marietta was enough of a pain. "Yes, she's a year older than me. She goes to Beauxbatons. My mother went there, and my father went here. So they made some traditional gender split out of it, I suppose. At any rate it's nice being the only Scouten in the school." For instance, if Marietta went here, he would never hear the end of talking to a girl who was older than she even was. Let alone drawing her.

"And we eat food for a good reason, you know. So there's no need to be making fun of us." Casper added as an afterthought. Food was not to be joked about. It was a very serious need in everyone's life. Particularly his.

"So, you're the baby of the family." she stated. Evolette had once been the baby of her family. Technically since her sister Octavia was born 5 minutes before her, but then her mother had Greenlee, and that was all over with. She agreed with him about being the only member of his family in the school. "The rest of my siblings are tutored at home." she told him, "So I know what you mean. I'd have two brothers and a sister running around Hogwarts with me."

Pressing her lips together, Evolette smirked, "Of course you do." she conceded. She briefly wondered if Casper would return to his flustered state after his drawing was finished, she wasn't exactly sure which she liked better.

"No, really. We have an incredibly good reason and that would be that we're hungry. I'm actually ravenous right now." Just thinking about food, Casper almost drooled on Evolette's neatly finished nose.

"I'm almost done, just a few more lines here and here..." Casper was practically talking to himself. "and here... and there." He sat back on his heels. "I think it's a success. I was gonna waterpaint it afterwards with colors, but if you want to keep it it's ok." He smiled awkwardly again. Oh no, here it comes again. To make matters worse, his stomach was about to erupt from sudden starvation.

Evolette smiled as she stood, sweeping her hands under her robes and wiping a bit of dust off of her sleeve, "Tell you what." she said, taking a few steps towards him. "How about you take it with you now, finish it up, and then show me." she said, noticing that the old Casper was back.

"Does that sound good to you dear?" she asked, smiling and tossing her hair back over her shoulder. She wanted to see what the drawing looked like, but she could be patient.

[B]"OK, I will," Casper agreed. "I'll go do that right now!" He stood up, careful not to spill his pencils again. His stomach growled again. "I really should grab some food on the way too." He added sheepishly.

"It was nice to meet you," Casper said, attempting to be cordial, but failing miserably and sounding like a small child instructed to speak by their mother. He needed to get out of there if he ever wanted to see the girl again. "Good bye." Casper almost jogged to the exit of the room, nearly tripping over the hem of his robes on the way. Maybe he should have let his mother shorten them just a tad over the summer.

With a chuckle, Evolette watched as Casper took off running down the corridor, giving him a small wave that she wasn't sure had been seen or not. Shaking her head, a smile on her lips, she tossed one last look at the hourglasses, her eyes staring at the Gryffindor one instead of the Slytherin.

She had actually gone twenty minutes without thinking about Terry, which had to be some kind of record, and it was all thanks to Casper and his ever changing skin color. A sigh escaped her lips as she tucked her hair behind her ear, and started walking in the opposite direction that Casper had left in, back to the Common Room.

Kayla was on her way out of the castle to enjoy a little fresh air before getting ready for classes. She was justing passing the hourglasses and she gave them a fleeting glance as she made her way for the doors when her footsteps halted and she doubled back not quite believing what she was seeing.

Hufflepuff was minus 49 points, how could this be? One day as a Prefect and her house was in last place. Oh this was just splendid! Kayla, gritted her teeth and exhaled through her nose. Whoever was responsible for this was going to get a severe ear bashing from her...no doubt some mischief making first years.

After seeing that the Hufflepuff point tally had fallen even further,Sarah sighed and shook her head again.
"This is getting ridiculous."
Turning her back she thought for a minute, now where did I need to go?
Ah yeah..meet some of the professors.I never did that last year before term started.
She wandered off still full of disbelief.

Nancy was slowly strolling back into the castle still quite nervous about the upcoming try-outs. She'd just decided to maybe get a piece of bread or something before going...well, somewhere else. Walking past the Hourglasses Nancy's eyes were already fixated on the door which lead into the Great Hall but she didn't even get that far since somehow out of the corner of her eyes she did glance at the Hourglasses which made her stop dead in her tracks and without turning around Nancy walked backwards until she was standing right in front of the Hourglasses.
Minus 28?! Minus 28?! Slytherin was third place, just a bit better than Hufflepuff?! What had happened?! Nancy just remained standing right there staring in sheer disbelief at the Hourglasses.

Shana was having a look at all the different places around the castle and she slowley walked into the room,And looked around the room for someone she knew NANCY!She shouted and ran across to her and gave her the biggest hug ever!

While Nancy was still staring in utter disbelief at the Hourglasses she noticed that the number below three of them changed all of a sudden. All except Slytherin's. It stayed right were it was, at minus 28. All the numbers of Hufflepuff, Gryffindor and Ravenclaw went down, which meant: They were in the lead! For now at least but whatever! Maybe they would make it this year. No, not maybe, they were going to make it this year. Duh.

Nancy whirled around at the sound of someone shouting her name and found herself hugged by a little girl whom she immediately recognized as Shana. Beaming at the young girl the 13-year-old hugged her back cheerfully while saying, "Shana! Look! We're in the lead!" She pointed at the Hourglasses enthousiastically while grinning broadly at the current points.

Shana gave a huge smile and jumped up Woo Hoo! She shouted he was in a very excited and hyper mood.She then started twirlng and dancing around.

Whoa, Shana was obviously really excited about the whole thing. But who wouldn't be? They were in the lead! The little line in front of their points was a little disturbing but whatever, this was going to change pretty soon, Nancy was going to make sure of that. Hopefully.
Grinning at Shana Nancy watched the little girl twirl and spin around with utter amusement on her face before asking her, "Sooo, Shana, what have you been up to lately?"

Shana was spinning out of control,She was soo dizzy,Whoa.Shana grabbed onto Nancy's arm trying to stop the room from spinning.She finally spoke Ermm Not much I've spent most of my time in the Common room What about you nance ? Nance was a name Shana thought was short for nancy Quite a good nickname.She nodded her hair and smiled.
She looked around then she started humming Dum Dee Doo Darr Dum Dee Doo Darr La La.

Nancy's facial expression slowly turned into one of concern as she watched Shana spinning round and round and round. She knew how this could end, yes, she knew it just too well. As the little girl even grabbed her arm Nancy softly pulled at it and put her left hand onto Shana's shoulder to stop her from falling over. "Whoa, you okay?" She asked her with a small smile on her face as Shana'd finally regained her balance.

Eying Shana slightly amused Nancy wondered whether the girl was just really really hyper today or whether something was seriously wrong with her. Maybe someone had poured something into her drink during breakfast. It's been known to happen. Cough. Startled by Shana's next pretty random question Nancy's brow furrowed while she replied, "I...uhm...don't know actually. I've been way too tired to look the last few days. Who are you sleeping next to?"

Shana looked at nancy Yeah Im fine why wouldn't I be.Shana spun arund again Im sleeping next to erm... Sakura.Shana continued to spin Wheee!Shana laughed.

Nancy's eyes never left Shana as the little girl escaped her soft grip and started spinning again. Whoa, there really was something odd with this girl today. What was up with all that random twirling? Why wouldn't I be? That had been Shana's answer to Nancy's question about whether she was okay. Weird. Well, if Shana was actually going to throw up due to all the spinning Nancy hoped that it was not on her, anything else was fine with her.
Well, not fine, either since she didn't want Shana to feel ill but it somehow was her own fault anyway so...

Leaning against the wall Nancy continued to watch Shana who still hadn't stopped spinning but somehow managed to talk to her at the same time. Now, that was multitasking! "Oh, Sakura? Never heard of her? Is she new?" She asked to keep up their little conversation so she had reason to stick around so that if Shana should feel sick she was there to take her to the Hospital Wing straight away. It wouldn't be that appatizing to have Shana throw up all over the Entrance Hall.

Shana saw nancy's facial expression and then suddenly stopped spinning why did she didn't want to go to hospital wing why did everyone suddenly want to take her to hospital wing! Oh Sakura is new she's in first year like me Shana smiled.Shana then stood still until the room stopped spinning.

She Then smiled again and hugged Nancy.

Chris walked up tot the giant hourglasses and stopped by the ruby filled one. Man we need to step it up if we are going to win the House Cup again he thought to himself.

Standing tall in front of the hourglasses, Terry contemplated one in particular showcasing red rubies. Le sigh. This was rather depressing. Second to last! And to think he'd actually been attending atleast some lessons this term. Which was definitely one notch up from the previous term. He supposed on the bright side, it was atleast something that they were ahead of Slytherin? Mwaha.
