You enter the room with your partner. Suddenly the lights go out and you feel something strange, like magic and hear slight popping noises. When the lights come back on, you can no longer see the exit, the desks are gone and it appears the classroom got bigger, but you cant really tell because your in the middle of a maze! Your hear Professor Pierce's voice from... somewhere.

"Upper years, you are in the middle of a moderately complicated maze, your partner is on the outside with a map which has two dots on it, each representing one of you. There are several exits to my maze, your goal is to find the one your partner is standing at. The catch is, you must communicate silently. For example, if you come to a fork, send up the word 'Left?' or 'Right?' and your partner will respond with sparks, green for 'yes' and red for 'no'. When you find your partner, when you do, you may leave. Begin."

OOC: This is your homework. Points are given for creative RPing and success with the spells. After getting out of the maze, PM me your user name, user number, house and character name. If you dont have a partner, pretend you do. Though it will be easier to RP if you have someone to RP with, so try and find one

"Get in there my son!" Jake exclaimed. In celebration he held his left ankle in his left hand and the back of his neck in his right hand, and did the ever-popular elbow-to-knee boogie.

Well, that was certainly from Tobi. The poor spelling made sure of that. For a moment she looked at the words wondering if Tobi had decided to communicate via Swahili or something. She glanced back down at the map and suddenly had a realization.

She’d been holding the make upside down.

Well, confound it! Aggie wasn’t a map reader!

She pointed her wand up into the air. “Firsitan,” Purple sparks shot out of her wand. She looked at it. Apparently she was feeling too Silly to convey the spell she wanted properly. She took a deep breath, cleared her mind.

“Firsitan.” Green sparks shout out of her wand. She hoped Tobi would start moving, because once Dot Tobi got close to Dot Aggie, Real Aggie was going to have to head for the Hills.

Purple? Purple? What in the name of Calypso's corset was PURPLE supposed to mean?!

And that is when Tobias Benjamin Avalon, Age 17 years old, and coming in at 6'2 and 170 pounds, lost his temper. "AGATHA DEWITT!" He bellowed, hoping, but doubting she could hear him, he was pretty sure he was very deep in the maze. "I don't care how good you are at antler jinxes! WHEN I get out of here! (NO THANKS to YOU!) I'm going to permanent-sticking-charm your Owl to a wall and use him for target practice!!!" He jumped up and down, thrashing, kicking, and spinning. He landed on his bum facing the way he came, chest heaving.

Suddenly green sparks flew into the air.

Assention. Tobi's mouth twitched. If she only knew what she just agreed to... He set off down the maze back to his last intersection. Left? he wondered "Risona."

Lef appeared above him. Well it's official: he really sucked at this spell.

Sneeze looked around. He didn't have a partner, so he looked around at everyone else. There must be an older year student without a partner. "Any older students without a partner?"

Ludo had just had enough time to find a young Hufflepuff boy, probably a second year, to partner with him. "Hey, I'm Ludo." The Hufflepuff said his name was Phillip. Ludo smiled, though was a bit uncertain as to why they needed to be paired young student with old.

He recieved his answer soon enough. The lights had gone out and when they came back on he was surrounded by walls and his partner was missing. Though very surprised, he waited and listened to instructions from the Professor. "Interesting assignment... he thought, with raised eyebrows.

It was time to get started. He'd be here until he completed the maze. Ludo took a breath and mustered up his concentration for the spell. Nonverbally, he thought, "Risona!" and concentrated. A silver ribbon shot forth from his wand this time and a message appeared: Phillip, silver ribbon is Ludo.
He started off into the maze and came to his first decision. He shot another ribbon into the air, silently. The ribbon twisted to spell the word, Left?

He stood for a few seconds and green sparks flew up in response. He was heading the right way.

"I'm Mariel," she told him with a smile.

Jai looked around, she definately needed a partner but she didn't know many people. The answer to her prayers came and she grinned she'd seen him around, Sneeze?

"Hi, I don't have a partner." she extened a hand towards him "I'm Jaimine."

ooc: sorry i gotta go too bad you can get another partner if you want though.

Harley couldnt help but laugh when the young lady responded with sparks, he then followed her lead and introduced himself, "Hi Mariel, Im Harley. You okay?" He then thought it was best to leave the class room so not to disturbe the others, "Would you like to join me in the great hall for a pumpkin juice?"

Right direction again... The dot seemed to be moving slower. Melanie bit her lip nervously. She was seriously hoping that she hadn't led her partener into some sort of trap, but Melanie quickly brushed that thought from her mind. This wasn't the Triwizard tournament or a maze to punish people in Greece. It was more like an dark corn maze. Surely the professor wouldn't put anything dangerous in the maze for the students to stumble along in the dark. Especially without telling the students beforehand, it would be silly.

Melanie looked down at the map confirming the blue dot needed to go right. Melanie said the incantation and sent up some green sparks.

Mariel was slightly surprised as this older boy asked her to go to the Great Hall with him. William walked inot the room nervously his eyes flicking back and forth as if waiting for something or someone to jump out and grab him. Instead the lights went out and he was blind for a brief second. His senses were heightened in that single moment however and he could feel the magic of the room. When the lights went on the maze was there taunting him again. He groaned, realizing he never got the older Ravenclaws name before this happened. No doubt she'd bbe in the middle of the maze now. Looking at the map which had appeared in his hand he saw her dot, exactly in the middle, great. It looked easy enough he figured smiling a bit.

Copernicus was racing through the last stretch of the maze at full speed, especially now that he could see the end... and his little partner. He grabbed hold of her non-wand hand and shook it excitedly. "You did it! You were perfect!" He grinned at her. "Erm... what's your name?"

Shuddering, Juniper set off from the center of the maze. Hopefully the little boy she had partnered with would be able to get her out of the maze quickly.

As she came to the first fork in the maze-path, Juniper paused. Now what was the spell to write words in ribbon, again? Ribbona? No, that couldn't be it. Biting her lip, Juniper tried to remember the spell. Oh! Risona! Pulling out her wand, Juniper said, "Risona." As she concentrated hard on the word Left, Juniper looked up to see the spell begin to write the word.

L - E - ... Juniper frowned and concentrated a bit harder on the word, even shaking her head a little bit to continue the spelling. ...F - T. LEFT. Grinning, Juniper waited for her little partner to confirm or negate her question. Ohhh, right. It was supposed to be a question. Muttering "Risona" again, Juniper thought about a question mark so that the ribbon now spelled "LEFT?"

Yes, he had figured it out. Whic was good thing, because if he had went the wrong way that would have been bad. So..he defiantly had to go left now. What color should she send him this time? oooo Gold was pretty...yes she would send him gold.
"Firstian." she said, thinking of gold. But nothign came out of her wand.That was wierd. "Firstian, Firstian, Firsitian!!!!" she said, jabbing her wand in the air each time she said it. Then rainbow sparks started shooting out of her wand. Woops, forgot to think of a color. Well, Im sure he can figure out that it means yes, go left.
So she crossed her arms and waited for the next question.

William shuddered slightly, looking around. This was just darn creepy he mused looking upwards for any ribbon thing for him. He saw one that said left and looked down at his map. It looked right he thought turning the map to its proper location and smirked. Yes left, now what was that spell? Freetan ... no that didn't sound right. Fristian? That sounded right but he couldn't be sure.

Juniper heaved a sigh of relief as she saw sparks fly into the air. Those were from her partner, right? Right. And they were green, and green was a good color. Juniper turned left down the fork in the maze and walked rather quickly along, staying as far away as she could from the walls. She was claustrophobic, she was fairly certain, because that meant she did not like confined spaces, which she most definitely hated.

Scurrying to the next fork, Juniper stopped again. "Risona!" Juniper said, concentrating on the word 'left' again. She thought that this second bend might be a right, but she wanted to be sure she had the spell down pat before she tried a longer word than left. L - E - F - T - ?. Juniper beamed at the success of her spell and bounced back and forth on her feet, waiting for an answer from her little partner.

While Dominic was waiting, he hoped that she would get the message about the gold sparks. But surely she proved her intelligence when she first identified herself as his partner, so he wasn't too worried. And then he saw it - green sparks which meant to turn right indeed followed by the brilliant shade of gold!

Almost there!

Turning the corner to the right, he quickened his speed, exhilarated by the prospect of almost being done with this maze and there he saw her. A small girl from Hufflepuff checking the map and looking for his arrival from the maze.

"W-" he was about to speak, but then realized they ought to hold off on speaking until out of the Transfiguration classroom. Casting one more 'Risona' charm for good measure, he made the ribbon form the words:

'We did it!! Shall we depart into the corridor then?'

"Hello, Jaimine. I'm James. How about we work through this maze together? Sounds good to you?" Sneeze shook her hand and smiled. He took out his wand and some sparks came from it. He was ready for this homework.

Zeke looked around. He saw words and sparks floating around everywhere. Hmm. I guess first step is to ask Hannah which way to go. Thinking "Risona!", he shot up the words "Left, Han?" He thought it might make it less confusing if he included her name. Unfortunately, since she was shooting up sparks, it might be harder for him to tell if it was her... Oh, well. He waited for her response, trying to make more sense of his surroundings and figure out exactly where he was.
