More and more Gryffindors were steadily joining the festivities at the table, too. "Hey, guys!" Anna said, greeting Tobi, Paris, Alexis, Hayden, Daniel, and Rose. She giggled when Alexis referred to her as Mrs. Newell. "Heyyy, How did you knowww....?" Anna asked, trailing off just a bit and turning to Cale with a surprised look.

Anna followed Cale's gaze up to the ceiling. She knew that he must be memorizing every detail of the school he was leaving for forever and ever. "I want to go with you," she said, grabbing both of his hands. "I mean...I want to go with you and stay there and not return to school next year." She sighed and squeezed his hands in hers. "I'm going to miss you, Mr. Newell." Anna turned her head to the side and looked down at the floor, watching a single teardrop hit the ground. When she was sure no more tears would try and escape her eyes, she looked back up and Cale. "So, are you ready?" she asked, not speaking about graduation...or the train...but what would happen afterwards.

Rose smiled slipping into a seat next to her. It would be the final time she saw most of them, but Gryffindor's favourite prefect was staying. Although she couldn't hear the conversation she watched Cale and Anna. It was rather sad. Canna, would be Anna again. At least in terms of the pair being in the same place at the same time. Her brown eyes widened in shock as the Gryffindor Captain, Alexis referred to Anna as Mrs. Newell. "Something your not telling us?" She asked giggling lightly. Her laughter and smile faded slightly as it sunk in the 7th years were leaving, very soon. Biting down on her lip to prevent the downpour of tears that were threatening she tried to think of the summer and how fun it would be. But she'd miss them, she'd miss them all. "Aww Cale, you shouldn't be leaving behind Anna. We might not let her go otherwise"

Goodness" She murmured, flushing slightly. Silly that she hadn't known that. "Who wouldn't want a holiday?" She repeated with a slight giggle. The less time spent at home talking about Japonica's and Susanqua's the happier Rose would be.

Rose sat in her seat, sipping her orange juice slowly, her eyes watching the people around her over the rim of her glass. It was sad, watching them all pull up memories and chatter with the omnipresent nostalgia looming over them. She enjoyed watching people, their faces like books. It told you a lot more than a conversation could. Overhearing a certain first year talk to a certain third year she adored she turned.

The sixth year had been flattering her on the day they met... which was funny. "The finals was..." she took a deep breath and continued, "...overwhelming." She evn rolled her eyes as she answered and She might as well laugh at what she had said. "So exhausting exams... how about you dear?"

She'd shown up late to Transfiguration, her Herbology had failed immeasurably, she'd even lost her nerve in Charms. Her cheeks still matching the colour of her hair, the 6th year fumbled with her words, "I..uh.." She swallowed, "I failed most of my subjects" She conceded feeling utterly at embarrassed. Fail, was a little dramatic. She'd done very well in Charms, although she was disappointed with her performance and all her subjects had gone fairly well. Except the offending Herbology and Transfiguration. Chewing on her lip, Rose looked away twisting her hair around her finger, "What are you doing these holidays?" She asked changing the subject entirely.

Well, Via wouldn't want to talk about her exams either although she did fairly well climbing back the top five. She blinked and thought about Rose's question. Vacation?... She doesn't even know what to do. She's just excited to go back home and relax after all the happenings for that term. "I don't really know," she answered as she gently shook her head and slowly chewed the mint which was still inside her mouth. It was Freya who had laid them on top of the table and she even have said thank you to her. Via thought it was some trick for the term. "Maybe i'll spend some more time with my family, mys sister," she mumbled, "A little trip to somewhere and..." she shrugged. She doesn't know what to add after that. "Do you have any plans?"

She had no other plans so she again shook her head. "Elizabeth..the Ravenclaw?" Via asked. She only met her once. "Chloe and Amanda invited me to their houses, but haven't planned a trip for my family." Rose was right, she needed a holiday from them but staying in Hogwarts is like a grand holiday already. I haven't met either of them though. I think Mum and Dad are planning a trip to someplace for 'a holiday' although they'll just end up working". Tearing her muffin into smaller pieces she took a sip of the drink almost knocking her fork from the table. Catching it in time, she looked at Via as she went on. "The beach?" Rose protested softly putting a quarter into her mouth, "At least I'll be with some friends" She suggested, more to herself.

Chalice sat down near Chris Kaplan at the End of Term Feast sadly. Not only would she be spending part of her summer at St. Mungo's at least until... She also would have to wait until September 1 to see her friends again. "Hi Chris." she said softly.

Jane was just looking around the hall. She spotted her fellow Gryffindors, smiled and suddenly, Chris caught her eye. She hasn't seen him since like forever. And he never sang for her. She walked towards him, thinking of a less spooky way to make him sing. Chalice say near him. Jane stopped in her tracks. She took a seat near ~~Anna~~Mrs. Newell instead. She smiled at Anna and whispered to her.

"Are you spending the summer with Cale?"Jane giggled.

Chris took a sip of his pumpkin juice, but then he heard someone say his name. He truned and saw Chalice. "Hey Chalice." He said putting down his goblet. But he could tell something was wrong. And he knew it wasn't because she was leaving for the summer. "How bad is she? You don't have to say if you don't want to." He said giving her a reasuring nod.

But then he saw Jane. Oh God, he hadn't seen her in forever. He sighed slightly. He knew if he wanted to be nice he would have to say goodbye. But that would be later...like maybe on the train.

Jane pouted for a moment and tried to recall what she has not yet packed. That sock hammock under the bed, oh... DANNY-BOYY!!Jane fumbled around in her pocket, hoping to find her rat. She has not seen the rat since like before the finals!Oh, Philip is going to kill me! Jane started looking under the table and the plates around her. He's bound to be somewhere near food.

He must have sneaked down somehow during that lockdown!

Jane excused herself and started whistling Danny-Boy's call. She had to search the whole hall. That would mean..Ughh..walking near Chris.Philip will KILL me if I don't find Danny-Boy and bring him back in one piece.

Jane ducked under the table occasionally, still looking for the rat.

"I never knew she was a prefect before," Via mumbled. But she haven't asked Elizabeth about that and why would she tell her anyway. She wanted to go on a trip either. She was glad her parents wasn't workaholic and that they make sure they have time for each other. The beach is the calmest place she could ever think of, she just loved to stay there, sat by the shore and watch the sun set. "It's lovely in there... but of course being with friends would be better," she smiled. "We might as well arrange some time to meet at diagon alley or somewhere else," Via added. The mint was gone now... "I'd love to spend summer with you."

"Hey, Daniel. Thanks for the compliment. It was a lot of hard work, though. Man, am I ever glad finals week is over, too!" Anna exclaimed, shaking her head at the memories of staying awake well past midnight to review puffapods, Charlatans, and things of that nature. Anna listened as Daniel discussed possible summer plans with the house as a whole. "Thanks for the invitation, but Cale and I have a huge summer planned already, including a trip out of the country. Romania sure sounds fun, though! I'm sorry I'll be missing out."

Anna smiled mischievously when Rose asked if there was something Anna wasn't telling them. "Maayyyybe," she said, grinning at Rose dropping the subject altogether. They'd all find out soon enough anyway, and Anna...nor Cale, for that matter...was really ready to announce it.

Chris watched Jane looking for something. He cocked his head to one side and watched her for a little bit. But then felt something crawling up his pant leg. "Holy crap!" He said almost yelling, and jumped up from the bench. He looked down and saw a rat down near his foot. He made a gross face. But then picked up the rat."Hey Jane this what you looking for?" He asked holding the rat.

"Well that's sound fun." Chris said sarcastically. "If you need any help learning anything with the guitar I could always help." He told her. "Umm not sure spend time with my family. Playing guitar. I don't know maybe see my ex-girlfriend." He said and shrugged.

Hayden glared at him trying not to laugh as she said,"Love your enthusiasim." She laughed,"I'll consider the guitar lesson offer. I wouldn't want to disturb you if your going to be traveling." Hayden smiled."I might end up in Japan anyway. My great aunt lives there and she's been dieing to see me."

"I understand what you mean about the School Spirit. I mean what happened to the old Gryffindor ways of winning and determination?" he asked looking around as he spoke. "I will do my best to help you out next term, even if it takes over my life." he laughed a little. "And thanks again for the congrats."

Lizzie raised her head as she heard a familiar voice from further down the table. Chalice! she called out, waving at her friend. Then, suddenly realising something was wrong, Lizzie raised her eyebrows, giving Cha a wondering look.

Chris looked after where Lizzie was looking and saw Chalice with a sad face. he also mouthed down the table to her saying 'What's wrong?'

Chris smiled as Lizzie began to talk to him and Penelope. "I knoow, right? It is so sad that they are leaving. I mean Penelope here, Freya, Cale... alot of them are leaving." he said

Lizzie nodded at Chris, saying Yeah I know. I mean, last term I didn't know a single seventh year so I barely noticed any difference. But this year it's not the same.. She sighed quietly and picked up an apple that she took a bite of. It will be empty. And we'll be only five years away from it she looked somehow excited and yet a bit unsure. It felt like far away in the future, but two years had already passed quickly.

Chris shook his head sadly. "I didn't know any Seventh Years last year either. But this year I know alot of them." he said looking towards Cale, Freya, and Penelope. "It will be so sad when we have to leave."
