She smiled up at Ella. She tried to see her face as Ella turned from her when she asked if her and Jack were getting married. She clapped her hands at Ella's revelation. "Oh Ella that is so romantic." She breathed. She wanted to swoon. If only someone would sweep her off her feet like that. Oh to wish. "I mean what sort of job is Jack going to to. I want to come to the wedding.." She bounced.

She nodded at Cope even though he had lost her somewhere, and she wasn't sure where. "So your dad married his mom?" She asked. That must be very hard to have to suddenly start sharing your dad. She knew all too well how that felt when Willow came along and then Lucas. then Dillon and JoJo and now Devon and Benjamin. But it was alright her and her dad had their alone tine. "Where do you guys live anyways?" She didn't the basic about him.

She jumped as she heard a loud honk, she prayed it wasn't who she thought it was and turning around. It was. Cale Thorton and his ever expanding collection of illegal crossbreeded animals and plants. "You are so bossy sometimes Cale." she told him as he walked up to the line.

Born with acute hearing as she is, Usagi couldn't help but notice Via's call. Her heart sank at the thought of breaking down in front of her friend...again, like she did last term. She had tried to turn around, to not shed tears, but they were slowly forming in her eyes. Finally, the girl succumbed and walked back to her companion. "Via," she started. "I just wanted to say you're one of the best friends one could possibly make."

Via almost thought Usa wouldn't hear her call but lucky she did and she smiled at her friend as she turned to her. Next thing Via knew was that there were tears from her very eyes. Usa had told her one of the few things Via never thought she would hear from a friend.She bowed her head and tried to stop the tears from falling. She looked at her again and this time fat tears rolled on her cheeks. Without a word she hugged her friend and sobbed. "Oh, USa," she cried. She didn't care if there were other students out there, and Spence was there either. "I'll miss you."

Usagi stepped forward and gave her friend the most loving bear hug in living history, sniffing a little so as to keep the tears from falling. In this kind of situation, somebody had to keep their eyes dry. "Now, now, Via," she said soothingly as she gently patted the other girl's back. "It'll be all right. Don't cry. I'll owl you often...ten times a day, perhaps - if Selene can stand that much going back and forth."

Via chuckled, "Alright," she snapped from her crying. "You're making me cry so i won't breakdown here because you're leaving." She continued to laugh to keep the thought away. "You might want some sweets?" She knew Usa had got her own already but... "Please? My treat."

"As a gift before we totally part," Via added. Remembering the owls Usa had promised, "I'll give her food every time your letter reaches me," Via laughed.

"Half your treat, actually," Usagi corrected. "You don't get to share a treat with friends everyday. About Sel...well, I don't think that's a good idea - I appreciated it though, but she can get annoying if spoiled. Believe me, her owner does. Like witch, like owl." She shrugged.

Spence smiled, Good. When she asked where she was she shrugged and rolled back on her heels, Oh, anywhere and everywhere. When the girl and Via starte talking and crying, Spence stepped back to give them as much privacy as possible at a food cart. She tried hard not to listen as she looked over at the sweets again. She rocked back 'n forth in a effort to keep moving.

Noticing the presence of another first year, Usagi started to turn a fiery shade of red. She was really not polite to just ignore her like that. If Via had been alone, fine, no prob. But in this situation... I'd need a PhD in communicating to fix this.She groaned mentally. "Um, hi, sorry about that. Please excuse my rather unpolite," - she flinched slightly - "action. I'm Usagi Ginno, 3rd year Gryffindor. Or ex-Gryffindor, if I could say that." She slightly extended her hand out.

When She was spoken to Spence turned around, She shook her hand, Hi. And that's fine. I know the importance of being with friends so don't worry. I'm Spencer, Via's Cousin. She smiled at the girl, polietly not asking for information unless she wanted to give it.

Valentine made a wierd face. It was kind of a mix between confusion, anger, happiness, and wanting to argue with him. She didn't want to feel as though she was trespassing on his life, but it looked as though the prefect wouldn't give him much of a choice. "I don't like gnomes." Was all she could really think to say.

Valentine jumped a bit, not expecting to hear a voice to close and loud behind her. She turned around to see a- somewhat sarcastic it seemed- slytherin girl.

"I don't either, but what can you do? It has to be done. Oh - and we'll have to make a trip into Diagon Alley for a cage for Noland. Right now I borrowed Sherlock's from Sho. He'll be wanting that back. "
Oh no, it was the girl who has put him in a body bind and left him in the middle of the hallway for a few hours. He took a step back frowning. "It's called being a Prefect Paris. Part of the job is to be bossy." Besides, if I'm not bossy, nobody ever listens to me.

She put her hands on her hips and looked at him. "Is it also part of your job to hit and push girls?" She asked him. Yes she had put him in a full body bind, but he was shoving her like she was a seventh year boy. And she was a tiny thing it didn't take much to knock her over. "Anna is a prefect and so is Cale and they aren't bossy at all. They are rather nice about things." She pointed out.

"It's alright, I will need to buy my next year text books, and a new cage for Viola. She has outgrown her old one, and I can't keep hiding her in my pocket." Almost as though it was by the sound of her name, the small bat hiding in Valentine's pocket peeked it's little head out of the pocket in the robe Valentine was wearing. Viola looked over at Cale and then hide back inside the pocket.

Valentine looked over at the Slyerthin. Whoever she was, Valentine didn't really enjoy her attitude. But being shy, she wasn't going to say anything to the girl. "Cale, how about we go back to a compartment?"

"Well, do I look like the Gryffindork love birds? I may be Cale, but I don't have dark curly hair and I'm not taller then a tree so - Newell and Greingoth can do what they want." Me, - I'm going to yell and boss anyone out of line until I step on that platform in King's Cross.

Paris was lucky. If Cale wasn't determined to carry out his prefecting duties until he was officially off school property - she'd have a tail and horns sprouting from her head. Not as nice a set of antlers as Aggie might have given her, but hanging around his best mate's girlfriend had taught him a thing or two! No more full body binds on him dang nab it!
Cale's energy had been focused on Paris and not turning her into a jackrabbit-human cross-bread that he missed her comment about Diagon and Viola's appearance and disappearance. All he heard/caught was the last part of her comments. It was surprising how much a friend could get to know you in a few years time. Valey must have sensed that he was about to loose it. "Yeah, let's go...but I want a few pieces of candy first. What do you want Valey?" He pulled out a few coins, picked up a package of ice mice and two boxes of Berty Botts as well as a Jelly Slug.

"Anything with chocolate." She explained watching Cale and the girl with careful eyes. The last thing Valentine wanted to do was to get into a feud that she didn't really belong in. Valentine looked back over at Cale. "I'll meet you in the compartment. I'm over closer to the back of the train." Valentine said walking off.

"Yes, his mother and my father married in August," Cope nodded briefly. "It was something of a whirlwind courtship and engagement, but he seems to be quite fond of her. And to be honest, she is very kind. We actually haven't seen the new house yet. They bought it after the honeymoon." He patted his pockets fruitlessly, noting the Trolley Witch was now free.

"Merlin, I forgot my money. I'll be right back." Hopefully all the snuggling and lovey-dovey was over.

"Rightio," he said picking up a couple of chocolate frogs. "Any idea where Tobi is?" He asked, but she had already walked off. He paid the trolley witch for the snacks, repositioned his grip on Robin and then started off down the train hallway after Valey. Best to get as far from temptation as possible, lest he end his prefecting career with a big blimey black spot.

She rolled her eyes at Cale, he was a crup poppy scooper. He hit girls and her father told her that was not cool and a proper man wouldn't hit a girl. She rolled her eyes and ignored him and his girlfriend. She was a faster draw with her wand than he was and could take care of him if he tried anything.

"Oh that is romantic. Sort of like my parents. They went out on one date before they were engaged. My mom says she knew she would marry him the first day she met him." She told him with a smile. Her parents were totally sickening with the lovey dovey stuff. Always kissing and hugging each other. She shook her head. "Oh well that will be exciting to see the new house and your new room. Maybe your dad will have a surprise waiting for you. My dad built me a laboratory in our new house. It was so exciting." She told him. She loved her room and her lab. "Oh I can pay for you." She told him. She pulled a few galleons out of her jersey pocket and held them out for him to take.

"It's illogical. How do you know if someone is compatible to your values and lifestyle after one date? Or three dates? I'm happy that he isn't alone any longer, but the likelihood of it working out..." He smiled ruefully. "I'm not the best person to talk to about romance, I guess. I don't know that I really believe it exists. It's all just a chemical reaction, right?" He ignored her money; there was no way his upbringing would allow him to take money from a lady.

She looked at him. "My parents have been married for almost 20 years, and they are so in love its sickening sometimes. When you see them together they are like the sunlight on a dark day. My mother's people think that the gods made one person and then split the soul in half and put them in two different bodies. One male and one female. So you spend your whole life looking for the other half of your soul. And my parent found each other." She told him. She didn't like him talking about her parents that way. She would tackle him to the ground and curse the skin off his bones if he said something else about her parents. Greenwoods stick together.

"My dad was homeless before him and my mom met. Well he wasn't homeless when they met, but he was homeless at a time. And my mother is the daughter of the Minister of Magic in Ghana, and her family is richer than most countries. They couldn't have come from more different backgrounds if you thought it up yourself and they have made 7 children together and lived happily for 20 years. If you over think love it will always come out on the bottom. Romance exist and when you met the right girl and something in your heart pulls, you will know it exist." She looked at him. She didn't mean to talk about love and romance and things like that, but she had watched her parents for 14 years and she knew what love was and what it was supposed to look like.

She rolled her eyes and laughed. "Honestly, you men and your issues with money." She handed the lunch lady the money. "This is for whatever he wants. Keep the change." Paris could careless about the money. "I just told you my mom is richer than the Queen of England." She giggled.

"I wasn't speaking specifically of your parents," Cope's brow knit. Hadn't it been obvious he was still speaking of his own father and Plymouth's mother? But obviously this was a touchy subject for Paris, and he didn't want to go out of his way to offend. "But regardless, I didn't say romance doesn't exist, necessarily, just that it is illogical and based largely on chemical reactions that are out of our control. My father has been surrounded by successful, intelligent women since my mother died, and he didn't see any of them. But give him a hippie nomad who sells Quidditch gear out of a tent, and he's gone. Illogical." He full intended to be logical about choosing a mate someday. Lists. Pros and cons. Mutual compatibility and agreement on the basics. Emotion had no place in love.

She looked at him. "You think my dad going to Ghana and commissioning the goblins to craft my mom's wedding band is all about a chemical reaction?" She asked him totally shocked. "What could be more logical than falling in love and then expressing that love?" She grew quiet as he talked about his mother and father. Hmmm, thats the problem. She wasn't going to say anything to him. Talking about someone's family was a touchy thing. "Love and logic don't go together." She told him. She looked at him. "I be you are one of those people that make lists and things about girlfriends. Risk management and everything huh," she told him shaking her head.

"Ah," Copernicus blushed as she seemed to read his mind. "I've never had a girlfriend to be honest, but yes... I like lists. Risk management is an excellent idea as well." He waved off the trolley lady with a polite smile. He wasn't going to let Paris buy him something, no matter if she could afford it or not.

"We shouldn't talk about love, I don't think. We're too young to be experts anyway," he grinned suddenly, ready to move on. Love talk was shakey ground for him, considering his life.

She giggled as he blushed. He looked really cute when he blushed. "Lists are crazy. How can you measure someone's sense of humor? Or how their eyes sparkle when they talk about their favorite thing? How much risk is involved with someone who likes long walks on the beach and you like Nascar?" Although she couldn't stand Nascar. "Thats hard to imagine that you've never had a girlfriend. You are so cute and such a wonderful guy. I'm sure the girls are lined up for you," She told him as she blushed. She had said too much there.

She grinned at him. "Yeah we are too young to know what it is," She pointed out.

Ella raised her brow, surprised a bit, "Quite a classic name you have," she said, shook his hand warmly. "Haha..Ofcourse, i guessed you have some more years to finish up." Her inquiring mind didnt let her stop with that. "So..where do you live, Nic?" she asked casually.

Ella felt Paris eyes were on her, watching and memorizing her emotions closely. Wow..this's something excited yet bit embarrassing. She giggled at her enthusiasm as she clapped her hands and said it was so romantic. Ella went deep red as her cheeks flushed, "Yes, it was. And he's such a charmer, " she giggled again, "Umm..he said his uncle was running some family business where he wants to work." she said, happiness was so visibile in every syllable of her words.
