Kayla had to laugh. "If this was a real duel Gabben, you wouldn't be waiting around for your opponent to cast first" she shrugged as she pointed her wand at him. "But have it your way...Incacerous" she bellowed. |
"I can still be a gentleman." *With a smirk he pulled his wand back and yelled "Flagrate". Using his wand he spelled out the words Nice try in firey letters burning the ropes. Gabben then shot another spell at Kayla.* "Avis!" *About 5 birds shot out of his wand and flew head first at Kayla.* |
Kayla rolled her eyes at his showy magic tricks and then chuckled at his birds. Amateur she thought smugly. With a flick of her of her wand, "Evanesco" she said lazily and moved slightly to her right. "Rictasempra" she fired back at Gabben. |
"Those were nice birds too." *He pulled his wand up and yelled "Protego" just before the spell could hit him but he was to late. He started laughing but before he doubled over he yelled.* "Levicorpus" |
Kayla dodged out of the way of his next spell. Oh so he was going to try and string her up by her feet was he? Not today!! She pointed her wand again at him, "Confundo" she yelled and then just for good measure, "Oppungo" sending a great big swarm of bees at him. |
"Oh haha no ha you don't!" *Still laughing he yelled "Protego" stopping the confundo spell. Then with another gasp of air he sent the Repello spell at the bee's. The bees stopped a good three feet away from him as if they were hitting a wall.* "Can prefects dance? Tarantallegra!" *Gabben yelled as he doubled over again laughing, after one last barking laugh he stopped and waited to see what his spell did.* |
To busy being amused at Gabben trying to defend himself, Kayla didn't have the time to send a shield up and she tried to move once again but the spell just caught her on the side. Her feet started to do a little two step before she quickly muttered, "Finite" and it stopped. Glaring at Gabben, that he had managed to get her a low growl emitted from her throat. She pointed her wand at him again, "Pertrifus Totalus" she growled and then moving again to get another shot at him, she fired off a stinging hex as well. |
*Gabben moved out of the way of her spell just in time and shot the Protego spell out before he could get hexed.* "Is someone upset?" *He smirked and sent two spells at her.* "Obscuro! Aguamenti!" *Looking a bit like a fire fighter water shot out of his wand and was headed to Kayla. She's good Gabben thought he had to admit that.* |
"Not at all" Kayla replied with a slight smirk, actually she was having fun. She raised her wand as he sent the blindfold spell her way, "Protego" she shouted blocking his first spell but the force of his aguamenti shattered her shield and she ended up soaking wet. Gripping her wand tightly, she sent a hurling hex at him and then quickly followed t up with, "Duro" hoping to hit her mark. |
*Still keeping his protection spell up he blocked her Duro spell but her hurling hex hit him right in the chest. Gabben flew back hitting the wall and hitting his head very hard.* "Alright, that hurt a bit." *Gabben stood back up and shouted "Rictusempra". Now rubbing his head he shot out another spell.* "Densaugeo!" *It was then he tasted blood in his mouth. Must have bit my cheek.* |
Amanda headed into the duelling arena with the intention of getting in some practice before she was going to tutor Whitney, when she noticed that Kayla was duelling with someone. Ah that was always interesting to see her duel, its better when you're not on the recieving end of her attacks though, she took a seat on the sidelines and watched the duel with interest. |

Casting another shield charm to block the first spell and spinning away from the second, Kayla took careful aim at Gabben. "Expelliarmus" she shouted and then decided to go for the big guns, "Stupefy!!" |
"Woah!" *Gabben fell flat to the floor at the last second missing her spells. He saw the red light from the "Stupefy" spell miss him by inches. This is getting out of hand. He jumpped back up, yelled "Expelliarmus!" then "Protego".* |
Tanjiro entered the Dueling Arena. Ah, a favorite pastime indeed.... Slowly walking past students cautiously, he scanned the arena for any vacant dueler. "Erm... anybody here in need of a duel?" he cried out helplessly. |

"Protego" Kayla yelled back blocking his disarming spell and she was thinking about sending another hex at him to shatter his shield. She took a few deep breaths, this was supposed to be fun after all and as usual she was getting too carried away. Keeping her shield up, Kayla gave Gabben a faint smile. "What do we do now?" |
*He stood back up still holding his wand out.* "It looks like we might have to call it a draw. This might go on for ages." *Gabben stood where he was seeing what she would do next. His body was tight like a spring as he waited.* |
Slowly walking into the arena, she looked around and saw Amanda there. It had,what felt like, ages since she last saw her. Actually,since that day she met Livvy. 'I still need to talk to that girl.' Whitney happily walked over to her friend,with a small hop in her step. Since Chase she'd been super happy. "Hey Amanda!"she said waving vigorously. When she looked to see where Amanda was looking, Whit saw her watching a duel between Kayla and another Huffie. 'Hmm.' She found this a bit odd,but assumed it was just for practice,and turned back to her friend. |

Hearing Tanjiro, she debated the sanity of accepting. Sure he was...well, fifth or sixth year? It wasn't like she knew him. And yes, she knew some advanced spells...for her age. Nah, he'd probably not let her duel against him anyway. Leaning against a bleacher, she resigned herself to watching. For now anyway. |
