She tried to bend over to get her wand without Jake casting another spell.Oh No She couldn't bend over. That was it she couldn't cast a spell any more. |
Jake eyed Shana, a little confused. He'd lifted the spell, and she still jumped. "Erm, Finite Incantatem," he tried again, releasing Shana. With a sheepish smile, Jake picked up Shana's wand which had ended up in front of his feet, and held it out, sticking the other hand out to pull her up. "Erm, I think I win, right?" he smiled a little awkwardly, not liking to assume. |

Shana curtisied taking the mick out of Jake but she hoped he knew it was a joke. She then gave him a little hug to say congratulations. She still couldn't quite understand why the huffie boys didn't like him she thought he was awesome he surtainley made her laugh and he seemed to make Lima laugh aswell. |
Jake grinned and bowed again to Shana, not knowing her curtsey was a joke. He returned the hug and began heading out of the room. "Erm, I think we should go now," he answered. "Thanks for the experience, it was good duelling with you," Jake smiled, holding the door open for her. |

Sarah entered, peeping round the door. She saw no one was free to duel. She sighed, then walked in and sat down, wating for someone. Dum Dum De Dum Dum Dum De Dum Dum she said as she twiddled her thumbs |

She could tell Paris was already giving him what for - but, to be honest, she wanted in on the action. Even if the girl could take him on her own. Concentrating, she cast Furnunculus and Petrificus Totallus at Tanjiro in rapid succession. The first was verbal - if muttered quietly - and the second silently. |

Maddox tried to contain his laughter at the way she freaked out. But it just wasnt working. "Don't worry. You don't really look like that. Its a hexed mirror." He snickered, until he saw the hex coming straight for his stomach. He quickly called out "PROTEGO!" before the first three spells got to him. Then she hesitated. He let his shield down and was prepairing to send his hex's when he heard her say an unfamiliar spell he had never heard before. The next thing he knew he was freezing. He was so cold, he was shivering from head to toe. But he was going to continue and he was going to win. Maddox channeled all the energy he could muster. He was starting to feel weaker but he was going to push on. What was this curse she used? He finally got enough strength up to decided which spell he was going to use. He florished his wand and whispered, "Umerus Humerus Extorqueo!" He watched as the curse flew at Camira. It would surely disloacte her hsoulder if it hit her. He then sent another, again whispering it because he was so cold. "Incendia Lacertosus!" That one would hurt just as bad. Possibly even worse. He stood there shivering, waiting for the results. OOC: umerus humerus extorqueo litterally means shoulder dislocate. The effect is just as litteral as the meaning. Incendia Lacertosus - fire muscles....makes the victim feel like the muscle that was hit with the hex is on fire; causes severe pain. |

She saw the spell coming at her, but couldn’t decide how to block it and at the last minute, decided to jump out of the way. Still, the spell clipped her in the left shoulder and all she felt after that was pain. Very severe pain. And she couldn’t move her arm. Damn. She grabbed her wand with her right hand, but it felt foreign. Seeing the next spell head towards her, she used a protego, but her hand movement was off, her left hand being her primary hand, and the spell seared right through her weak shield and slammed into her stomach. OH GOD! She doubled over, clutching her stomach. It burned. That was all she could think about. Oh, how it burned. Tears were streaming down her face now, but she couldn’t give up. She wasn’t weak. “Papeincidere”, she managed to say through gritted teeth, flicking her wand sharply. “frinef-“ She couldn’t get the word out. She felt like she couldn’t breathe. She gave Maddox a ‘don’t you dare stop this duel’ look. She was going to go on if it killed her. Which it just might. OOC: Papeincidere - a modified version of the latin words for "papercut". It covers the victim in papercuts |

Maddox was in utter shock. He didnt think both of his spells would hit her. He knew how badly the second hurt. The first wasnt to unbareable...well for him anyways. He sent a silent finite incantatem her way so that the flames would stop. But the only way to get her shoulder back in place was to do it manually. She would have to duel with that shoulder out of place until there were finished. He registered that she had sent another hex at him, but he was so cold that his shield was to late. He suddenly had thousands of stinging little scratches all over him...the looked like....papercuts? He was a bit bewildered with that one but decided to do the best he could with this duel. He would win. He finally decided on which curse to use. This one would scare the wits out of her. "Vix statua!" He yelled from his clenched frozen jaw. If it hit her the effect would be her imagining her worst fear. Then he decided on another and shouted, "Saeta...Cado...Sicco!" This would make her hair fall out till she was bald. Luckily there was a counter curse for that one. He waited to see which would hit her, shivering in his spot. OOC: vix statua - scare image ... causes the victim to hallucinate their deepest fear but no one else can see it except for the victim. saeta cado sicco - it litteraly translates to hair falling out. This makes the victim's hair slowly fall out in clumps at a time, until that person is completely bald. The counter curse is desiderium saeta. |
Bwahaha. Congrats. He broke her. :P Quote:
She checked for additional damage and waited for pain, but there was none. Not as far as she could tell. But there was Nico. Nico?! What the hell? And oh my God, he was dead. No. NO! It wasn’t possible. She twirled around quickly to tell Maddox….and gasped. Maddox. Dead. “Nonononoononooo. This is wrong. It’s wrong!” And there, in the corner, Will. Dead. Everyone she really cared about, dead. This had to be…a boggart! Yes, a bogart! “Ridikulus”, she said fiercely, trying her best to turn the scene into something funny. She waited. And waited. Oh god, nothing was happening. It was real!! “Somebody help!!” Her legs gave out and she fell to the floor. She looked at the bodies, at their sad twisted faces, and screamed loudly, before sobbing hysterically. “This can’t be real. IT CAN’T.” She ran her hand through her hair agitatedly. Something felt wrong. Very wrong. She jerked her hand away and looked down to look at it. Her hair!! Clups of her hair were stuck to her fingers. It just made her sob even harder. Why? Why was this happening? All she could do was rock back and forth, sobbing, her hand still holding on to the hair that had so easily fallen out. |
WOOOT I WIN! bwaha! Quote:
Maddox was scared when both spells hit her. Though he was freezing, and he was sure his lips were blue, he ran as fast as he could to her side. The hallucination curse was a bad one to use. He had used it to many times on others, and it caused them to break down, much worse then Camira was now. He didnt like this at all. He couldnt believe he had used it on her, of all people. But when your in the midst of a duel, you get fired up and sometimes dont realize what you are sending out. He whispered through chattering teeth, "Ddddont wwwwoorry. It will sssstop in a mmminute." First he cast the counter curse to make her hair stop falling out. Then he whispered, "Finite incantatem!" It took away the hallucinations. He cupped her face in his hands, still shivering, and said, "I'm ssssso sssssorry Cccccamira. Arrrre you alrightttt? Wwwhat dddid you ssssee?" He was scared she was going to be angry with him. Even though he was the winner of this duel, he felt like the biggest jerk on the planet. |

Slowly, the tears stopped, though she was still trembling. And in half a second, she’d grabbed Maddox and engulfed him in a fierce hug. “Oh my God. I…I…I thought you were dead!” She ran her hands down his arms, touched his cheek, just to make sure he was real. And alive. He was. But oh, that had been horrible. Slowly she pulled away from him, feeling a bit sheepish now. Of course it hadn’t been real. That didn’t even make sense. Nico and Will weren’t even on the premises and Maddox, well, why would he be dead? She ran her hand through her hair again, staring at her hands to make sure it wasn’t really falling out. Had she imagined that as well? “God, I know I wanted to duel with you, but please, please never do that again." She wondered then why her father had never used that on her. Much more effective than a Crucio. He was shivering. Oh, right, she hadn’t removed her spell. She needed to concentrate to do it too. Alright, deep breaths. In, out, in, out. Finally, feeling less shaky, she pointed her wand at him. “Finitardum”. She noted the faint yellow 5 second glow. Good. “You should warm up now”, she said weakly, trying to give him a smile. It didn’t exactly work so she settled for hugging him again. Worst duel ever. |
Quote:
Maddox was glad she hugged him. The warmth from her body heated him up, but then she let go. He gave her a look that said, 'why.' Then she said what she saw. He suddenly felt extremely horrible. He knew what it was like to see someone you care about dead. He had had to many nightmares, watching the ones he loved die infront of him while he could do nothing. "Ddddont wwworrry. I wwwont." He said still shivering. Finally the warmth took over him. He sighed deeply and said, "It takes alot to get me cold, and that was harsh." He grinned when she pulled him into another hug. He wasnt letting go this time. He whispered in her ear, "I'm so sorry Camira." He was utterly ashamed of himself for using that curse. He hadnt used it since before...He didnt want to think of that right now. He just wanted to hold her. |
clapclapclapclapclap "Good show!" Helios cheered as the echo of his applause faded in the cavernous room. His trusty bamboo staff was leaned against his shoulder as he watched and grinned. How long he was there was anyones guess, but he definatly enjoyed what he was witness to. One would wonder if he would have moved from that spot had someone been seriously injured. |
Quote:
Camira looked up at him then. “It’s okay. I’m just glad that wasn’t real.” She kissed him languidly for a minute before reluctantly pulling away. She did not want a detention. Not after that. She’d probably lose her mind. “Do you think…..” She bit her lip. She felt dumb asking. Weak. Vulnerable. “We could go somewhere and sit?” Hopefully he would go with her. She couldn’t imagine being alone right now. Belatedly she realized he’d commented on her spell. “Slow hypothermia. If you didn’t get cold, something would be seriously wrong”, she explained, managing a smile this time. “By the way, you know you’re teaching me your spells, right?” |
Quote:
Maddox smiled as she burried herself into his chest. As she did so, he burried his face in her hair. It smelled amazing, and was actually warming him up faster then that coutner curse. He wondered why he was so worried about her. Usually duels didnt freak him out so much. He didnt like hurting her. He shook those thoughts off. He would have to figure this out soon. Mads pouted a bit when she pulled away after kissing him. He didnt want her to stop. Then he gave her a crooked grin as she asked to go somehwere. "Of course Camira." He stroked her cheek gently with his hand and said, "I'd go anywhere with you." It was true. More true then he expected it to be, but he didnt let the shock of his words show on his face. Mads raised his left eyebrow, with a bewildered sort of look on his face. "Yeah...yeah that would do it." Slowly freezing to death would make anyone cold. He smiled and said, "As long as you promise not to use them on me." He then reluctantly let her go, but held on to her hand, and started walking towards the exit, grabbing his leather cloak as they went. "Lets get out of here." He smiled and winked, pulling her along with him. |

"I do too know how to have fun," Dominic countered. Well not entirely true; most of his "fun" moments generally involved a broomstick or thinking about forest green eyes. But he wasn't about to tell that to Winters. "Fine. Maybe our definitions of fun are just different, but you know what? I don't care. Because I have fun my way and you, your way. And that's all there is to it." Of course she would move aside to dodge his little dancing hex; she was expecting a hex from him, just the same as he expected retaliation. "Protego," the fifth year murmured, to block the rictusempra charm. "Avis" Dom called to send a flock of small, twittering birds at his fellow prefect. |
Quote:
"I do too know how to have fun" she mimicked and she pulled a face at him. "Well boo-hoo for you Denton" Kayla sneered, her anger hadn't abated just yet and she was in no mood for his cry baby comments. Oh what a stellar come back...NOT!!! Yes she could just imagine his type of fun, sitting down and polishing his stupid broomstick and daydreaming about coming some famous Quidditch player. "Birds?" Kayla laughed at his attempt. "You are using your wand right?" Oh she was going to pulverise him if that's the best he had. She didn't even bother to move or cast a shield, she simply waved her wand again. "Evanesco" she had thought about 'Incendio' but even she wasn't that cruel. Now down to the fun stuff, she raised her wand once more. "Confundo" she bellowed and dancing another couple of steps to the right, "Furnunculus" she said pointing her wand straight at Denton's head. |
Quote:
"Yes, I do believe this is my wand," Dominic wrinkled his eyebrows in dismay, raising his wand to inspect it just to be sure. As he was inspecting it though, he hadn't notice her vanish his birds and then move onto another hex. So much for being vigilant, as he was struck by her confundus charm, which was enough to get him to swerve his head in befuddlement as she sprung another hex at him, which narrowly missed him. "One for two?" he blinked, confused and mixing his words around. "Langlesempra!" The fifth year bellowed, in his confused attempt to retaliate he mixed langlock and a --sempra spell. Gah! |
Quote:
Yes! Score, one - nil to Kayla, she watched with amusement as his head snapped to the side making the second spell miss him. What a shame, the boils probably would have improved his looks. Ah...this was too easy, he was confused and taking his time in retaliating. Kayla had her wand up and ready to go. "Protego" she yelled, casting her shield in time and thak goodness to because Merlin only knew what that spell would have done to her. She decided not to waste any time, she had to get him while he had no idea what was going on, "Incacerous" she said with confidence and then with another wave of her wand she sent the hurling hex at him. |
Quote:
"Protean!" he called, confused about even the shield charm incantation. Useless charm casted, Dominic soon found himself tangled among ropes, followed by him tripping forward and hurling through the twine directly on Kayla's shoes. With an upward wave of his wand, Dominic made one last attempt at casting a hex on her: the bat bogey hex, which he successfully managed the incantation now that confundus had worn off . . . |
Quote:
She looked at Dominic in horror as he waved his wand towards her and he sent the bat bogey hex...oh she was so not getting caught with that. Kayla threw herself out of the way and dived for her wand, just manging to get a hold of it before it rolled away again. She rolled onto her back and pointed her wand at Denton, "Stupefy" she panted, it was the first spell to come to her mind. |
Quote:
And of course, like his previously cast hexes, she dived from the bat bogey as well, pointing her wand again at him. But she was not getting away with this this time! Waving his wand, he quickly cast "expelliarmus" to counter her stunning charm. Nice simple disarming charm. |
Quote:
She looked back at Denton, wondering whether they keep duelling or what do they do? |
