Ruby saw the spells were coming back and just said " Finite Incantatem" she looked over at Amanda and smirked she had one spell that would have her win this duel but land her in serious trouble "Jelortous" Ruby whispered this should sort her out Ruby thought make it uneasy for the victim to grasp objects. she thought again

Amanda rolled her eyes and smirked, now this was becoming quite boring. Yet she wasn't about to stun the girl from behind, that would not be fair. She took the spell and found it hard to hold onto her wand now, but she wasn't going to let that deter her. "Petrificus Totalus" She muttered with a slight smirk, barely moving her wrist as she fired the spell.

Ruby moved out of the way of the oncoming spell she knew that the older Slytherin was likely to win but she wasn't going to be defeated yet she thought and barely whispered "Levicorpus"

Amanda smirked at the first year, she wasn't going to let this girl win nor would she call a draw. She ducked over to the left, so the spell missed her and she thought of one that would end this duel now and cause damage. She thought of something interesting, a double attack. "Incarcerous" She muttered and readied the other attack. "Stupefy" She said in a whisper and smirked.

Ruby wasn't quick enough to miss the Incarcerous spell she felt the ropes tie her up as she looked she saw the red streaks coming towards her she hurled herself to the floor to miss the Stupefy spell as she fell she heard her wand hit the floor and roll away she closed her eyes and said "you win Amanda my wand rolled away please untie me"

Amanda picked up Ruby's wand and held onto it for a second. "Alright give me one second." She said and thought of the spell which severed things. She walked over behind Ruby and pointed her wand at the ropes. "Diffindo" She said clearly and the ropes severed, she handed Ruby's wand back to her, and pocketed her own.

As he focused on Paris and the other girl, he noticed something very painful on his face. It was a sting that matched that of a bee, maybe even worse. But it wasn't lethal. Something he could easily ignore. He waved his wand again but once at the girl beside Paris. "Expelliarmus! he casted non-verbally, and another swish of his wand, except pointed at Paris. "Reducto!" he shouted.

She smiled as her stinging spell hit him in the face, but whatever it was he sent at her caused her protection charm to shatter and it sent her reeling. She stumbled a bit. "Depulso!" She shouts jabbing at his chest.

Tanjiro tried to dodge anywhere but where he was as soon as he heard the spell she cast, but he felt the right side of his body push back and send him spinning onto the floor.

He got up with haste, ignoring what little pain he was feeling and non-verbally casted a new spell he so recently learned, at Paris, "Cornilinguis!"

She was getting him and it was making her smile.

She dodged whatever spell he sent at her. "Conjunctivitus" she casted non verbally. She was better than he was.

This time, Tanjiro decided to take the duel to the next level. "Protego!" He wasted no time and immediately casted, "Labefactare" at her knees and "Momordi" at her hands in the hope of severely disabling her.

The first hex he sent hit her and her knees started shaking and she couldn't stand and she fell over, so the second hex sailed over her head. She looked up at him with malice in her eyes as her knees started to hurt. "Confringo" She sent at him non verbal.

After sending her spell. "Finite Incatartum," She muttered at her knees, the pain brought stinging tears to her eyes. She pushed herself off the floor shakingly. "Deprimo!" She shouted pointing her wand at the floor in front of Tanjiro she was going to knock him totally off his feet and hopefully knock him silly.

Kayla stood waiting for Denton to make his move, she didn't care if he was annoyed at her for switching his wand with a trick one. It had just been some harmless fun but nooooo Denton, had to make a crack about Nicholai. Obviously the twit didn't realise that they were actually still together just because he didn't go to school anymore, hadn't meant that they had broken up.

She gave him a bored look as she twirled her wand through her fingers. "Can't you take a joke Denton, thought we could have a bit fun. Just trying to get you to loosen up a little but of course we are talking about Dominic Denton here and he wouldn't know how to have fun if his life depended on it." Kayla shrugged at Dominic, if he couldn't see the funny side of it that was his problem.

Kayla knew the hex was coming before he had even said and she moved accordingly. She poked her tongue out him, "You missed me." She moved to the side and raised her wand, "Rictasempra" she bellowed and then moved once more and sent a stinging hex towards him.

Jake strolled into the arena. He'd made plans with Shana to come here, after he'd looked through his Standard Book of Spells Grade 1. Whilst he was nowhere near as good as the older kids, he wanted to try.

Finding a spare place, Jake waited nervously, tapping his wand against the side of his leg.

Shana wondered in to duel with Jake she couldn't uderstand why the hufflepuff boys didn't like him well some of them she thought he was hilarious.

She made her way over to him nd smiled.Hey Jakeyy! She got her wand ready and waited to begin.

"Hello Shana," he smiled, heading over to stand in the right position. He bowed at her, more out of politeness and courtesy, and held his wand ready.

"Ladies first," he nodded. Jake didn't understand the whole big deal about duelling with a girl, or losing to one. They were people, and he'd take it the same as if he'd lost to another guy. Same with winning. But, alas, his mother had always taught him; "Ladies First".

Shana had laugh when Jake bowed.Very polite. She said she smirked and got her wand ready.Shana pointed Her wand at Jake although pointing was rude she wasn't going to cast her spell at the floor.Wingardium Leviosa! She exclaimed.

Hehe, Shana had the same idea as him, using charms and whatnot. Jake dodged the spell easily.

Or so he thought.

As he was about to cast his own spell, his wand tried to flee from his fingers. "Ack, no ya don't!" Jake yelped, gripping it tighter and saying the first spell that came to his head before he moved onto to his limited knowledge of hexes.

"Firsitan!" The second he cast it, Jake no longer had to fight to hold on. He looked up to see whether his pink sparks actually did anything.

Shana looked up just as Jake did too see soe pink sparks in the air,Suddenly they started to fall downwards.She shifted around trying to dogde it.

It was her turn now she gripped her wand and tried to think of a spell Firsitan! she exclaimed,Then looked up to the she then realised you could see the white sparks beause the ceiling wasn't white her plan to trick Jake didn't work.

Jake was too bemused to think of the sparks coming towards him as he thought of how Shana copied his spell. Then he felt hot sparks hitting him.

"Ow... ow-OW... hothothot!!!!!" he gasped, before looking up like the idiot he really was. "Argh, mah eyeeeeee!" he whined, blinking a little.

Oh, it's ON.

"EXPELLIARMUS!!!!!" Jake cried, pointing his wand straight at Shana. Bwahahahaaa.

Shana stared blankly at the bright thing coming towards her.She didn't know what it was but she knew it was going to hurt her.What was she suppose to do!?! She turned to run but it was too late.OUCHHHHH!!!! She screamed.

She got her wand at the ready and pointed it dirrectly at Jake Here we go Jakey! She took a deep breath.And without a second thought she shouted Wingardium Leviosa!

Jake threw himself to the floor this time, which was admittedly a bit too dramatic for a levitating Charm.

"Locomotor Mortis!" Jake yelled, bouncing back up and pointing his wand again. He wanted to get this thing won, and when else could he try this nifty new spell he'd learnt.

ooc: Expelliarmus would have disarmed Shana or blasted her backwards. Locomotor Mortis is a leg-locking curse, so her legs would get stuck together.

Shana laughed at Jakes over dramaticness.EEEP! Locomortor Mortis what did that do again...She couldn't remember.Suddenly it hit her.He legs stuck together.She tried to move and suddenly fell over.

Obvcorse she couldn'tget up.So she reached over for her wand and said diffindo!

Ooh, it worked. Wow...

Jake was a tad amused by the fact that one of his spells had worked, so much so that he missed the next thing Shana said. Still, it flashed, it was fast, and it was coming towards him.

Jake only had time to flinch as the Severing Charm nicked the top of his right ear. "OWWCHHH!!!!!" he yelled, putting his hand up to feel where that cutting spell thingamy had done its job. Wiping his hand on his robes, Jake pointed his wand back at Shana on the ground.

"Finite Incantatem," he recited, because it would have been unsportsmanlike to finish the duel with his competitor already cursed.

After waiting for Shana to get composed, just about, Jake cast another spell. "Petrificus Totalus!"

If this hit the target, he might just win.
