Rian shook her head, grinning. "No, it wasn't bad," she said with a dramatic sigh - she had started doing those because of Jenn. "It was really fun, actually," she added, still grinning.

"Yeah, it was." He laughed. Sneeze squeezed Rian's hand a little bit jokingly.

Rian laughed and nodded. She brought her feet up on the seat and crossed them. She thought about riding in the car, and started laughing quietly when she thought about how she was afraid of heights.

Jenn smiled back at Liz. "I'm doing great, thanks."she said. She could tell why she was asking. It was about what happened at Chris Potter's house.

"Um, can't complain."she said, shrugging. "So, what have you been up to lately? Plaining my death?"she asked, winking to let him know she was teasing.

Lizzie looked around at all the people in the compartment. She smiled at the thought of getting back to Hogwarts, all her friends would be there. And though she hadn't met Shaylee, Demetria or Chalice on the train yet, she would once they arrived. Yawning a bit she leaned against Chris and closed her eyes. She was tired after getting up early to finish the packing. She hoped he wouldn't mind her sleeping a bit, she wanted to be awake for the feast later.

She smiled when he pushed his hair back behind his ears. "Thank you." She pecked him quickly on th cheek. "You're too sweet to me," She told him honestly. But she was a different person around Xander.

"Sorry, Sorry!" Kiki said to each person she bumped into, horrified at her own clumsiness. She still couldn't find anyone she knew, let alone someone who wasn't deep in conversation with someone. "Well, this is just great," she muttered. "Way to go out with a bang, Kiki."

"Summer was alright," Mariel said lightly to Nathaniel. "Spent a lot of time in Diagon Alley," she added with a shrug. Her face lit up at the mention of his broom. "That's awesome!" she said excitedly. "You really should try out for the Gryffindor team this year... of course, I don't know if I want the competition," she added jokingly, eyeing him suspiciously before grinning again.

"Your owl's lame?" she asked. "There's an animal hospital on the grounds at school. You should have brought him to get fixed. Of course Professor Dainsie won't be there, so I don't know who'll be running it..." Pausing, she looked at Nathaniel curiously. "Or did you mean lame as in uncool?" Shrugging, she continued, "Anyway, a cat is cool. Vincent will be in good company." She didn't know much about the Gryffindor common room, but if it were anything like Ravenclaw's, cats were abundant.

Mariel was then interrupted by a boy stopping at their compartment door. A look of disbelief came over her face as she was completely taken aback that a random person would have the nerve to call Nathaniel by her nickname without asking her permission. "That was weird," she started slowly. "I have no idea who that person was," she said turning to Nathaniel, trying hard not to laugh.

Looking over to Sarah, Mariel was confused. Or rather it was Sarah that was confused. "You mean the Quidditch Cup?" she asked. "Oh no no no, Sarah. Yes, Hufflepuff won one of their regular games, but it was Ravenclaw that won the Cup at the end of term. We won one of our regular games too, which is why we played Hufflepuff at the end of the year..., and we beat the badgers to win the Cup." Smiling triumphantly, she added, "We had a celebration in the common room too, after we won the Cup. But Hufflepuff got a respectable second place for the year."

"Or were you talking about the House Cup?" she asked her after a moment's pause. That's what Mariel thought she had been talking about in the first place. "Neither of us won that. The House Cup went to Gryffindor." She frowned slightly, remembering how far behind Ravenclaw was with no chance of catching up.

Grinning at Sarah, she said, "Yes, fortunately for you, Flying class is optional this year. I suppose it is kinda scary if you've never flown before, but I am looking forward to it myself." Eyeing her candy curiously, she asked, "Are those Muggle sweets? I don't think I've ever tried any." Taking a few from Sarah's outstretched hand, Mariel tried one. Not much different from Jelly Slugs. "Not bad," she said with a smile. "Do Muggles have any lemon flavored sweets? I'd like to try some of those," she added with a nod, knowing that Sarah was more than aware of her favorite flavor.

Feeling the familiar lurch as the train started moving, Mariel smiled with anticipation. "At last," she said. "Not much longer now." Although she knew it was quite a long ride, at least they were on their way.

Sneeze looks at Rian. "How about next time I don't go up so far when in the car?"

Marcus had been listening to the conversations in the compartment, politely smiling at all the people who entered. He didn't know any of them, but said Hi I'm Marcus anyway. They seemed like nice people, and he surely needed to talk to some people. A bit of his fear for being the only 3rd year who was new and without friends was leaving, and he was quite comfortable with all the people in there.

He listened to Lizzie's boyfriend (Chris) and another boy he thought was named Sneeze (cool name) talk about cars, and also they discussed time turners with a girl he had heard present herself as Rian to Lizzie. Turning back to the only one he truly knew in there, Lizzie, he realised she'd fallen asleep leaning against her boyfriend's shoulder. He smiled and looked around to see if anyone of the others wanted to talk.

Hannah Leigh stood up. "I'm going to the snack cart." she said. As she stood, she noticed the brown in Marcus' dark hair. He was kind of cute. It would be nice to have a boyfriend, someone to talk to. She was lonely and tired from only focusing on her studies. He seemed very nice too. He was a Griffindor also, which was one of her favorite houses.
"You know what? I'm not that hungry anymore." She sat down next to Marcus again and started talking to him.
"Where are you from?" she asked him.
Her mind raced. Did he like her? Of course, he had only known her for and hour.

"Pleasure to meet you as well!" Adrianna said brightly to John. "These guys have just been updating me on the wizarding world... I grew up with muggles," she giggled again at the name. "Sorry, I just think some of the names for things are so funny!" she said, covering her mouth as she laughed.


Adrianna heard some commotion outside and poked her head out. There, she saw another girl, being knocked around as she tried to make her way down the corridor. "Hey! We've got some room in here if you want!" she called to the girl. She was beginning to feel more like herself now that she had found people to talk to, and she wanted to help others feel more comfortable as well.

Chris leaned back against Lizzie and closed his eyes too he could smell how wonderful she smelled and he breathed in deeply.

Lizzie opened her eyes with a smile, realising she'd really fallen asleep. She glanced at Chris, he was leaning against her as well. She giggled as he breathed in deeply, wondering what he was thinking.

Looking up as the door opened again,Sarah sighed. I don't think we'll fit anymore in here, she thought.When she heard the boy address Nathaniel as "Gryffie Boy" she stiffled a laugh.I'm sure that is just Mariel's nickname for him..and mine..but only when I chat to Mariel about him.I wonder where that kid got it from.
Sarah watched as Nathaniel gave him more or less the reply she thought he would,then she turned her attention back to her friend.

Sarah listened as Mariel explained about the cup. "Oh.I thought we must have won something big," she said,slightly confused.OK...even more confused than before. "So if Huffies only won one of their regular games and lost in the final...why were they celebrating in the common room?" scratching her head she tried to make sense of it,then just shrugged. "That will teach me for not following it closely enough! Anyway...well done then," she said in a sniffy manner,before winking and disolving into giggles.
"I'll still be taking the flying class,I think." she added, "I really want to get better at it and maybe in a couple of years try for the team."

Ahhh House Cup! That is what Mariel really meant.No neither of them were even close to winning that...unfortunately. "I'll will be trying even harder this year to get points.Can you believe I only got 84 last term?..I thought I should have done better than that..but there you go,I am an idiot," sighing Sarah took more sweets out of her pocket to share round.
"These are Fruit Pastels," she began,before adding with a wink to Mariel.. "there is a lemon one in these."

Sarah felt the movement too. "Thank god!," she squealed. "We are moving! Ooooh this is going to be an exciting year..."

Chris opened his eyes as he felt her move. "I love your laugh." he laughed to her as she did.

What were you thinking about? You had your eyes closed and looked thoughtful... she asked quietly as she saw he was awake too, still smiling.

"I was more afraid when I thought you were the Queen of Sheba." She stated in a bored voice. Who were the Malfoy's anyway? Where they supposed to be important? They were probably one of those old, rich British families like the Boelyn's or the Stuart's or the Brandon's...just in the Wizard world instead. Truth be told Leah didn't much care for such things as titles though. She knew there was Royalty in the world, but who said they were special anyway? What makes them better than the rest? Maybe a Malfoy was a big name here in England, but Leah was far from impressed by it.

Leah fell silent as Damian and Winnie began to talk amongst each other, and stared out the window. She'd only been on the train about five minutes, surely it must be about ready to go! Five minutes after the thought crossed her mind the train lurched into motion. She shivered with nervous anticipation, and began to chew on her bottom lip.

How typical. At least it's better than your nails. She told herself, and lifted one hand to look speculatively at the nails in question. Her nails had always been long, and thick. She'd never been a thumb sucker, or a nail biter. She'd always chewed on the inside of her cheek, or on her lips. As a baby she'd sucked on her own tongue, and her lips instead of her hands. Nothing about that had changed. She still wasn't a nail biter.

"Oh nothing just wondering about this term and other things." he smiled he was not about to tell her that he had just smelled her! the thought to himself and laughed a little

Lizzie gave him a curious smile, then accepted his words. I hope it was ok I feel asleep.. It's just that I got up so early this morning.. she yawned a bit again and smiled. This is the best train trip I've ever had and laughed quietly.

Aww...they're dating! Hannah Leigh realized. That's cute, they seemed like the perfect couple. She looked down at the floor and coughed. A lot. Why was she doing this? She wasn't sick, or at least she hadn't been when the train left. "Just a second", she muttered and ran out of the compartment. And kept coughing! What was wrong?

"my best one too." he smiled he had only taken the one before. "Last term's was boring. This term i've got you and everybody else crammed into this compartment." he said gesturing to everyone else in the crowed compartment and laughing

Chris looked up ans saw that Hannah had started coughing and left "Was she ok?" he asked the others in the compartment.

Lizzie agreed. Yeah I was so scared last before last term. I thought everyone would be great wizards and I was only a muggleborn nobody. But getting friends weren't that hard. She grinned and added And I've got you now, of course. Blushing a bit she gave him a quick kiss on his cheek and leaned against his shoulder again, a smile on her lips.

Chris smiled as she kissed his cheek. He could feel as it warmed up his face. "yeah ." he said "Hogwarts will be more enjoyable this year!"

Isabella walked down the corridor of the train until she found an empty compartment to slip into. She walked in and closed the door behind her. After placing her carry on bags on the seat next to her she took a seat beside the window. Tears clouded her eyes as she was once again alone and had time to think. She had thought everything was perfect. She had loved him and he had loved her. Then in a moment everything had changed and he was gone from her life forever. Now she was about to return to school. The school they had met and fallen in love at. The place they had spent so many days together. The place that now held so many bittersweet memories. As she watched the scenery fly by the tears fell down her cheeks and she didn't bother to wipe them away.
