She looked closer and almost screamed when she saw a figure waving at her. She blinked and looked up at her friends. "Um... I don't know if my eyes are playing tricks on me... but did that just move?" she asked, her face pale.

Cadence giggled a little at Adrianna's surprise.Yes, in the wizarding world all pictures move whether they're photographs or portraits or anything. I know in the muggle world they stand still, but here they can move and talk and think. Sometimes they'll even disappear from their picture to go to a different one. I also read in Hogwarts, a History that the portraits at Hogwarts can move from one portrait to the next within the castle.

She now looked at Leeroy and was filled with joy that he seemed so excited to have friends who cared about him. Yes, Leeroy, we will always be there for you. And if your parents don't want you to come home on the holidays or something, you can always stay at Hogwarts or go home with a friend! I'd say I'd take you home with me, but I'm afraid my mum and dad are going to be gone most of the year. My mum is going to Africa with a group of people from the Ministry of Magic to help educate some witches and wizards there who couldn't afford to go to school. She wants to help them to improve Africa because the conditions there are so poor. Cadence was very proud of her mother's ambitions and hoped that they succeeded because it meant so much to so many people.

As far as Quidditch goes, well, erm... I'll try to explain the best I can. There are seven players on a Quidditch team. The first is the keeper who defends the goals. The goals are three golden hoops that are on posts and rise high above the ground at each end of the field (or pitch, as it is usually called). Three of the players are called chasers. The chasers try to score goals by throwing the quaffle (a red ball about the size of a soccer ball) through one of the hoops. Each goal is worth ten points. Next there are the beaters. The beaters are sort of the defensive players. They fly around with clubs in their hands and hit these balls called bludgers (heavy, black balls) toward members of the opposing team to try and knock them off their broom or at least make them drop the quaffle. Finally, there's the seeker who flies around looking for a very small and fast golden ball called the snitch. When the seeker catches the snitch, the game is over and he's one his team one hundred and fifty points.

So, yes it can be a very dangerous game, but it's quite exciting to watch. That's really all I know about Quidditch.

Jenn walked around, dodging kids and suitcases and such. Looking around she sighed. This is the part she always hated. The wait to get to the school. The train never seemed to go fast enough. Jenn then stumbled over a suitcase. She quickly got up and straightened her hair and clothes, then contiued searching for a seat.

Smiling she answered I don't know really. Sorry. But I haven't seen her a lot in school, only during the break. We met at the train last year, she was the first person I spoke to at all. She grinned at Rian and added Well if you would meet her please say hi from me.

Since Chris couldn't find Barry he kept walking looking into each compartment as he walked. He now had his guitar case in his hand instead of his back. He then looked up and saw Jenn. "Oh hey Jenn." Chris said smiling

SHe hadn't told anyone about those letters but the people who had gotton the letters, and Anna of course, but she figured the whole thing was over now..so it didn't matter...plus the whole school probably foudn out about them last year with the giant treasure hunt.

"HmMm.Most of them are normal,"Reese said."Except for letter thing."She smiled and the said,"So,how was your summer?I never got to ask you in Diagon Alley."

Rian laughed and nodded. "I'd be glad to," she said happily. Then she smiled when she felt Sneeze grab her hand. "The time turner thing was so cool," she said, hearing what they were talking about. "But it took me a while to get the egg yolk out of my hair," she laughed and grinned.

Lizzie kept smiling, she was happy she had Chris. He was the kindest guy she'd ever met. Suddenly realising Jenn was also in there, she smiled at her and said Hi Jenn, long time no see. You ok?

Well, I imagine it's really rare for first years to make the house teams. I think we do get to learn how to fly this year though! She was both excited and nervous about the prospect of this. She was not sure how good she would be at it. Flying wasn't something you could learn how to do from a book.

Now she turned to John and smiled at him Mostly, I've just been in here. I did read for a bit after you left. Then I started walking around and came across Leeroy. He overheard some boy named Jack and some other students talking about dungboms. Then they slammed the door in our face and we came in here. I invited Adrianna to come and join us, then Set was here for a bit, and now you're here! And that's pretty much it!

Her smile faded a bit as she realized what time it was. Unfortunately I have to go now. I should be back before we get to Hogwarts, though. If not, I'm sure I'll see you guys around! Some houses have classes together. So, even if we're not in the same house I know I'll see you! I'm really glad I got to meet all of you. I'll be seeing you!

Adrianna sighed and finished her chocolate frog. She was never going to be fully up to speed, and she figured that she had better accept that now. She smiled at Candace. "I'll be sure to remember that when we go in... otherwise it could be disastrous!" she said with a laugh.

She listened as Candace told of her mother's occupation. "That's great! I wish her all the best!" she said with a broad smile. "You'll have to let me know how that goes, I'm quite curious!" she said. So, wizards and witches didn't merely just do magic, she thought. There were other things that they could do with it.

Adrianna blinked as she listened to the outline of Quidditch. "Wow..." she breathed. "That sounds insane... but like a lot of fun," she said with a smile. "I can't wait to see a game!" she said, thinking about it further.

Just then, another person joined them. Adrianna smiled and waved at John. "Nice to meet you!" she said brightly.

Eventually, Jake got bored with the pressing silence. He picked up his kitten and headed off to find Jack and maybe John. He didn't know where they were likely to be, but something told Jake that Jack was someone who enjoyed the odd sugar rush.

"Later," he mumbled as he headed to what he hoped to be the direction on the snack cart.
