Sneeze looked around again and saw Lizzie. Had he met her before? Maybe, but he always had a bad memory. He tried to wave but almost dropped the jar, so he walked over to the compartment. "Hey, can I sit here?" Sneeze said.

Lizzie giggled as he looked very confused, and added I'm Demetria's friend, we met at Chris place, remember? She quickly looked around at Chris, Marcus, Hannah Leigh and Kaio, but non of them seemed to have anything against it so she just said Sure you can join us. With a friendly smile she made some space for him and let him in.

Set and I are sure we're going to be in Hufflepuff.

No problem Lizzie laughed at Sneeze. I hardly recognized you either at first. She smiled as Hannah Leigh introduced herself, and smiling she realised the compartment was full of people. Two of them she'd never met before, Sneeze she didn't know that well and then Marcus and Chris. She had expected to meet all her girl friends, but this was fun too. Unexpected, but fun, she thought with a wide grin.

"Hello, nice to meet you too. I'm James Longbottom, but everyone calls me Sneeze." He smiled at Hannah, who seemed to be a third year also. Sneeze noticed the place was now full, and looked out. Where was Rian? Had she left the school already?

Set hugged Cadence back, smiling. He was happy to be back. "I'm doing good, glad to be back though!" He beamed. "Did you ever find Jack (or his brother)?" He now addressed the others. "Don't worry, no matter what house your in, we'll still be good friends. I (i assume we) don't discriminate by what house your in." He smiled at Cadence again. She was the best freind he had ever met!!!!!

"Yeah, my mom is a muggle, my Dad was a wizard, but he died when I was little," she said with a shrug. "So I really didn't have a choice of going to..." she giggled. "Muggle school," she said, grinning. "Sorry, I still can't get over that word!" she said with a laugh. "Yes, the magic sounds like so much fun! Although, I met someone in Diagon Alley who dashed my dreams of becoming a magician," she said with a dramatic sigh. "Just kidding, of course," she added. Adrianna smiled brightly at Leeroy. "Don't worry, I totally understand. I was lucky to have a friend catch me up when I went to Diagon Alley... although I think I'm still behind," she said with a sheepish grin. She blinked at the mention of houses. "Houses? What do you mean?" she asked, blushing once again at her lack of knowledge.

Adrianna was distracted momentarily but another boy walking in. She smiled brightly at him as she tucked a loose strand of her blonde hair behind an ear. "Hi! Slightly overwhelmed..." she glanced over at Candace with a smile. "But doing okay! I'm Adrianna!" she said, moving over to provide him with a seat.

Rian was humming to herself as she walked down the corridor, searching for a compartment, or people she knew. It was great to be back on the train that was going to take her to Hogwarts.

She peeked into a few compartments, but couldn't see anyone familiar. So she just continued humming and walking, looking to her left and right as she passed by windows.

"Oh, sorry" Set said, slightly appoligetic and slightly embarassed. "A house is a group of students, usually with similar qualities. Gryffindors are brave, Ravenclaws are smart, Slytherins are "cunning (just another way of saying deceptive) (but they aren't all like that, I know a few good Slytherins), and Hufflepuffs are freindly, loyal, and hard-working!!!!!" Set said. He was very glad his uncle had been kind enough to teach this to him!

Well, as I was explaining to Leeroy before I invited you in and to elaborate on what Set just said, Hogwarts was founded by four of the greatest wizards who have ever lived: Helga Hufflepuff, Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. Each of the founders prized certain characteristcs in their students, and this is how we're sorted into houses. Hufflepuffs are very just and loyal and will do anything for their friends. Gryffindors are known for the courage, bravery, chivalry, that kind of stuff. Ravenclaws love to learn and ask questions and think about really complex stuff. And Slytherins are very ambitious people.

When we get to school, we'll have to put this hat on that tells us what house we're in, and while we're at school we'll live with that house and have clases and everything with them. When we do good things we'll earn house points, and when we break rules we lose them. Whichever house has the most points at the end of the year wins the House Cup.
She stopped and smiled at all of them. I read a lot she said simply.

But of course I won't discriminate over which house you're in. That's not important! For some reason, she sincerely hoped that Set would sit next to her. They were best friends, after all.

And I'm really sorry to hear about your dad. That must be really hard to not have a father.

Reed walked down the corridor. He had been looking for someone that he knew, or at least recognized but he didn't see anyone. So he just kept walking.

He got side tracked thinking about what it would be like at Hogwarts. This was new for him and he couldn't wait until they arrived. He just kept walking until he found somewhere to sit that appealed to him.

Set saw Cadence give him a look and pointing her head. He thought he knew what it meant. He moved over by his best freind, smiling!!!!! "So any more questions. I think we still have some snacks left." He pulled out the reamining choclate frogs and licorice wands. "Dig in!!!!"

Rian jumped when she heard her name, then saw it was Sneeze. She stopped humming. "Oh! Hey Sneeze!" she said, happy to see someone she knew. "Do you mind if I join you?" she asked, walking over to him.

Adrianna listened closely as the two of them told her about the houses. "Wow, that crazy! But pretty cool," she said, her mind spinning with the new flow of information. "I honestly don't know what I would be... I guess that hat will just have to find out for me!" she said. It was a weird concept- a hat deciding who they were and where they would go, but she was sure that it was only the beginning. "Sounds like there's a lot for me to get used to," she said with a sigh.

She went to move her legs and accidently knocked against her owl's cage. Ebony awoke with a start. He looked around, looking for the cause. Finally, he looked up at his owned and glared. "Sorry," Adrianna told him sheepishly. THe owl shrugged his wings begrudgingly and then tucked his coal black head back under his arm.

Adrianna sighed and leaned back in her seat with a smile to her new friends. "Well, I just hope everyone else feels the same about the houses. Although, based on what you said, I'm guessing that there's a lot of competition and rivalries?" she asked, looking between the two of them. She shook her head as Candace mentioned her father. "Not really... I guess. I mean, I never really knew life with him," she said with a shrug. "So, its always just been myself and my mom," she continued with a grin.

Hufflepuffs are loyal and just people who would do anything for their friends. Gryffindors are brave, daring and chivalrous. Ravenclaws are very intuitive and seek knowledge more than anything. And Slytherins are really ambitious people.

We can earn and lose ponits for our house at school, and at the end of the year the house with the most points gets the House Cup which I guess is like this really big trophy.

My mum says Hogwarts is the best place in the world to grow up. That you learn so much and meet people you're going to be in contact with for the rest of your life probably. There are supposed to be secret passageways and hidden rooms and the staircases move! All the teachers there are brilliant. I can't wait to get there!

Cadence turned to Leeroy and smiled at him. He didn't need to feel scared about going to Hogwarts. It was going to be the best time of his life.

Seeing a girl who looked about their age walking down the corridor looking lonely, Cadence poked her head out the compartment door. Hello! Would you like to come a join us? There's plenty of room!

Leeroy nodded, fascinated. There was so much he wanted to know.

As others entered the compartment he smiled at them and waved. He was begining to like the people he met. He looked at his new friend and said, "I don't think I have a family anymore." He was thinking about the way they had been toward him the last couple weeks. He looked down at his toes, embarassed.

"Well, the competion is usually dependant on the people. Some people get really bitter over points, but the biggest competion is Quidditch. It's the wizard sport, played on broomsticks!" Set said this remembering his goal to become hufflepuff Kepper. He absent-mindidly began day-dreaming about Quidditch. He awoke with a start when he relaized what he was doing!
