Shaking her head at herself, she looked over at Clifford. The Slytherin Prefect. Bwahahaha. She wondered how that had happened. How they had both turned into Prefects. Hehe. They were just too awesome. "I can see that.." She commented amusedly, watching as he stuffed himself with sausages. Ack. He obviously had no idea of how bad they were for him.
Deciding it was time to eat something, she got some chicken for herself, as well as a couple of chips aswell. She knew those were bad ... but it wasn't like she ate them everyday anyway. Hmpf.
The memory of the feast that had happened a year ago was still fresh though, and Evangeline knew perfectly well that Slytherin had a tradition of losing points right in the beginning of the term feast. She hoped this one was different, but that didnt keep her from letting her eyes wander over to where the house points hourglasses were and look for the bright emeralds.
Oh goodness. In the negatives already?
"Aww, man!" Yummy, yummy, yummy. Bouncing excitedly in his seat, Clifford continued shoving numerous sausages in his mouth. He'd even given up chewing them - heck, that was just a complete waste of time - and was almost just swallowing the things instead. YAY!
As he bounced in his seat and swallowed sausages, his brown eyes darted all over the place. From Evangeline, to the staff table, to a couple of firsties close by, and to the other tables. EEEP! He was just so EXCITED!
"I musht admit though.." He mumbled, waving one hand and shovelling more sausages in his mouth with the other. "I dun think they'sh ash good ash Missush Green'sh saushage'sh." MmmMmm. The sausages he'd had at Evangeline's house had been faaantabulous.
His fork stopped in mid-air however, when he caught Evangeline's last words. Eh? What had happened? Gaze following hers, understanding sunk in. Oh poop. "Don't worry." He said finally swallowing his mouthful and moving to pat her arm comfortingly. He hadn't failed to notice that Evangeline had a strange ... obsession when it came to house points. It musta been a Prefect thing, maybe he'd turn like that too eventually? Hmmm. "I'll do aaaaall my homework and it'll all be okies." Yup.

"I've met a girl from Ravenclaw called Hannah" shesaid thinkingback to Diagon Alley, a girl in Hufflepuff called Melanie and a Gryffindor girl called Via or Vivviane; I think that's all" she said people that she had properly met anyway "did you expect to be in Slytherin?" she asked.
Natasha shook her head at Ruby "why?" she asked her having the feeling she wouldn't get through the night without at least saying something about her parents. Sasha looked around and sawa boy stuffing his mouth and she had a disgusted look on her face "is he our prefect?" she asked looking at the badge on his chest.

Willow wandered into the Great Hall. She had been reluctant to leave Godzilla behind when she came to eat, but figured the Great Hall probably wasn't a good place for chameleons... or any pet for that matter.
Gazing up at the enchanted ceiling, her large brown eyes widened. Wow. She had read about this in Hogwarts: A History, but had no idea it would be quite so beautiful. She gazed at it for a little longer, biting her bottom lip she tore her eyes away from it to look at the students, and more importantly, the food. Looking down at her robes with the green emblem emblazoned on the front, she shrugged and went to sit over at the table that matched.

Sakura laughed lightly at Ruby's display. Obviously they all had the same thoughts. "Hopefully it is just his eating habits that are like this." She whispered, they didn't really know the boy so they should not judge him too quickly.
At Ruby's comment she said, "Well then luckily you weren't eating." As she said this she gave her cousin a cheeky grin to show that she didn't mean anything by her comment

She wondered if this was why Forrester had given Clifford the badge - to calm her not and not let her go all bazooka on the Slythie students.
It wouldn't surprise her. Merlin knew how she wish she could toss the piece of chicken in her plate at the head of the student that had lost the points.
Enough with the points, already though! She needed to enjoyyy this feast! A light chuckle escaped from her lips when he somehow managed to say he liked her Mother's sausages better. "Well, Mum is very proud of her sausages." But Evangeline would've sworn he liked these ones better. He had never stuffed his mouth with her Mother's!
"But you should take it easy, Cliffie. And chew!" She warned him worryingly. She was used to Clifford's eagerness for food, but he'd get sick! "Or you'll get a stomachache and we still need to take the firsties down to the common room."
Speaking of firsties...
She had just barely overheard the conversation, but it had been enough to understand what they were talking about. Hmpf. A frown already on her face, she turned to them. "Is there anything you'd like to say, girls?"

Willow was busy looking at the staff table. The people sitting there all looked... a little weird. Not like her tutors at her school in New York. Her mind began to wander, wondering what she would be doing if she was there now. Her thoughts, thankfully, were interrupted by the welcome dulcet tones of her sister. She smiled broadly, standing up to go and join her and her boyfriend. If she was being gooseberry, no doubt her sister would eventually tell her to bugger off. Paris was far from subtle about such things.
“Erm...” She answered. “Just around.. you know, exploring my surroundings.” Or lost, trying to find the girl's bathroom.. but Paris didn't need to know that. “How long have you been here?” She asked, having lost track of time completely. She twiddled her hair around her finger, a little nervously, as she glanced around at the other Slytherins. They were all so... big. Even some of the firsties were taller than Will and her sister! She looked over at the staff table again and back at Paris. “Did I miss the head's speech?”

Leann stepped into the Great Hall and continued walking towards the Slytherin table where she quickly found a seat and sat down. The great hall was full of life and voices came from everywhere, people talking to friends they hadn't seen for a long time, catching up on how things were going.
The tables were full of food and drink, and everyone were stuffing themselves just like Christmas, and Leann thought to herself: "If only every day could be like this."

Ahhh. That hadn't been as hard as he'd thought it'd be and Clifford nodded happily when Evangeline agreed with him that it would be okies. Now he'd really have to try his hardest with his homework. He'd told her it'd be okie and he would make sure it truly would be. Uh huh.
"Her sausages were yummy." He sighed at the memory alone, hoping he wasn't drooling or anything. He had terrible table manners already but that would probably be taking things a little too far. "Not as good as her chips though.." He exhaled dreamily yet again, absent mindedly stealing a chip from Evangeline's plate and throwing it in his gob. Nope.. it didn't even compare to Mrs Green's chips. Evangeline must've warned her to cook extra bad food when he came to visit. Hehe.
He decided to take her advice when she told him to take it easy though, and grinned sheepishly. Oopsy. "Sorry.. all this good food.. I just get carried away." He cleared his throat and retrieved his knife and fork. Okies. He just had to eat like he'd ate when he had lunch at Evangeline's house.
Practicing with his knife and fork, he blinked blankly when Evangeline spoke a to a small group of what clearly looked like firsties. Eh? What wa going on? Not - Not used to people stuffing their faces? Oh.. so Evangeline wasn't the only one that noticed he'd forgotten to chew. "Well, you need to learn ... talking to people manners." He huffed at the girl that had spoken up, waving a fork with a skewered sausage on the end. Talking to people manners? That existed, right?
