That had to be one of the worst train rides he had ever been on – there was no question about it whatsoever. From now on, there was no way he was going to end up being drug into a compartment with a bunch of loony Gryffindor (that solves about everything right there, right?) girls. Ever. And that, my dear friends, was a promise that was going to be kept. The only exception would be Anna Greingoth, but that would mean Newell would be right there behind her like some sick dog.

Progressively making his way through the Great Hall, Seth Paton untucked his shirt and made his way toward the Slytherin table, not even bothering to make a quick glance down at his own House’s table. As always, the Slytherin table was pretty much home sweet home to him. Ultimately, the majority of the people worth talking to were there. No offense or anything, but that was how the cards were played.

Seeking out a place at the table for him to sit, the sixth year Hufflepuff sighed as he looked past the faces of the students that were already seated. Asteira Blood wasn’t among them; and he should’ve expected so, but he just couldn’t bring himself to believe what she was told him. Well, he believed it now.

Having found an empty spot next to a Slytherin kid that looked around his age and had brown hair, Seth immediately took the seat. As he swung a leg in, his robes swished to the side and swung right onto the other kid right on the back of his head. “Oh. Oops. Sorry, mate.”

Amanda raised her eyebrow at Camira's next question. "What exactly did you have in mind?" She asked curiously. She was always up for a contest, and if there was a wager, it would make the whole thing sweeter.

"That's really great." she replied nodding. Top 5 was too ambitious for Whitney,although she had made that promise to Nico. She was regretting it a bit now. Why couldn't she be in the top 10 or 8. No. He wanted Top 5. "I sure am going to try to be in the top 5. Not sure how well that'll work out though." A promise was a promise. Just then she thought of Raiden. "Question: have you seen Raiden at all?" It was her,Amanda and Raiden who'd made that dreadful deal with the De- with Nico. Raiden had been the only other Slytherin boy she'd spoken to who also happened to be on that wonderful list Whitney had eased her way onto.Nico's list.
Whitney nodded a welcome and tilted her head once again. Had she been that anxious around the older students? No. 'I was more anxious with the ones my age.' Which,ironically enough,was true. Around the older students she was Whitney,around the ones her age she felt like she had to prove herself. Now her neck was erect but her left eyebrow was raised. Claire's comment made her break down in giggles. "Not yet." she said raising both eyebrows and smirking. "Just don't get into trouble and don't lose the house any points and you'll do great." Those were the ways of Slytherin,more or less. Stay out of the way,make the house look good and you're good. Not counting the whole thing about being so charming hardly anyone dislikes you. "Are you at least happy to be here?" she asked hopefully.
Before she could answer the question,Camira was on about some prank she wanted to pull. That sounded great,but she'd never try it as a Second Year. Or at least she didn't think she would. "Do I get to know about this right?" she asked not quite expecting a yes. If she did say yes then that'd be great. "My plans are to keep a promise and attend all of my classes and earn tons of points." Dreadful. "And,of course just meet all of those people I don't know." She loved knowing tons of people,it made her feel important. "Not a great plot or anything but it'll work." she said with a grin and nodded.

Jake stared wide-eyed at Cameron. That was a kind of... over-exaggeration...

Then he started almost shouting, and Jake started a little, ready to run back to his own table should things get violent. He remembered what the eye-twitch was about... Fisticuffs were afoot.

"Erm..." Jake stammered out. "err... be f-f-fine... yeah..." But you won't ya lunatic.

Jake froze in his bouncing motion, when he got to the floor of course. She wanted the blame... or, as Jake preferred to call it, the credit.

"OK," Jake nodded. "We'll find someplace to discuss it another time."

Meh. Jake reasoned that is he wanted to stay the underdog or least suspected, whatever he was, he needed to stay out of trouble for now. He nodded somewhat grudgingly. But that didn't mean he didn't want his fair share of the credit at one point.

Jake looked up at this girl, oddly. He'd by now stopped bouncing, but it was a nasty habit and he couldn't always control when it started up...

"Erm..." Jake was startled by the abrupt comment. "I'm... fine."

Strange person. Jake looked at her like she was insane. Well... she'd spoen to Cameron recently... so it couldn't be ruled out. Ooh... he remembered he was always supposed to respond politely. Dang manners... pfft.

"Are you quite alright?" he mirrored the girls question and grinned. It could have been interpreted as a cheeky grin, but Jake was oblivious to this fact.

Teagen? he snickered as he already had a pet name. he watched her as she made her way to him and gave him a kiss."Gesh. Get a room." he said to them seriously as he heard his name."Yep that's right. Though if your going to do that the whole entire time you might have to sit more in the corner." he teased teage as he gave him a smile."How was your train ridge?"


he chuckled as she plopped herself right next to him. "you look so happy." he teased as he moved to nudge her. he moved to take his scarf off and put it around her."there. a comfort scarf. Dont worry. Its going to be okay." he promised her as he then introduced her to everyone." this is teage and vivi. Guys this is jayne. Dont worry about her. she isnt very social." he turned to her as he asked."So you were hiding from me? On the train? i didnt see you."

He felt something hit him as he turned to see what it was that decided to collide into him. he looked to see a hufflepuff boy who didnt look very well."erh. its okay." he watched him as he looked a bit like a living zombie."You okay man?" he asked as he then offered him a seat." your welcome to have a seat. their is plenty of space." he gave him a smile as he then put out his hand."cayden Blood."

"No I haven't seen Raiden yet, I'm sure he'll show up soon" Amanda said honestly. She only saw a few of her friends on the train, so she didn't know if Raiden was coming or not.

She smiled back at him. "Well I made you a promise to show you around and it'll be my definite pleasure." Kayla rolled her eyes at Cayden and gave a little snicker of her own. "Always the player. This is Paris Greenwood" she pointed towards the younger girl. 'Too young for you' she mouthed and then she pointed at Camira. "And this is Camira Yaxley. Both good friends, so place nice Cayden" she chckled as she turned to Paris.

Kayla nodded her head in approval as Paris gave her little twirl. "And you try real well too" she giggled. Upon hearing what Paris had got up to during her holidays, Kayla was slightly jealous. "Oh Fiji, how great is that? Mine was good too. I spent a lot of it at home with a special someone" she gave her a sly smile and a quick wink.

"Well I spent most of my time with Nicholai" she gave Camira a sideways glance to see what her reaction would be. "What were you thinking about?" Kayla asked in her usual tactful manner and hoping to change the subject.

"Oooh" Kayla squealed. "He is absolutely adorable. When did you get him?" sometimes she wished she had a dog, but she already had two tarantula's and an owl so she figured that was quite enough.

She was glad when he stopped bouncing. "Yes we will. Keep your ears open of a good place to talk about it." She told him with a wink.

"Thank you dahling," She told her with a wink. She wanted to look perfect for the welcoming feast. "Oh it was awesome. I got to spend two weeks surfing with my boyfriend so that was nice." She smiled. "Oh well do tell who is the lucky man?" She asked her wanting to know more about Kayla.

So she did know who Dominic was and he was wondering if she hated him too. Camira didn't have that angry tone in her voice though so he honestly didn't know. He gave the confused look like she did and wondered if she was a friend of his enemy. Yuck. But if she was then Cam would seriously be sick. Does Dominic even have any friends? Probably not. But he could have some friends that were naasty like him.

"Yeaaah, I know Dominic. I hate him. I'm guessing you do too?" he asked her.

Jake was obviously scared of him and he reminded himself to control his "crazy" state. "Yeah... I'll try doing that. So have ya seen him anywhere?"

Jayne playfully nudged him back with her elbow, a barely visible smile playing across her lips. But it was gone in a matter of seconds, just as it often was. "Yeah, because I'm normal. You just always look like you recently had your lips snogged off by some girl with great hair." She quietly teased, in her usual sarcastic way. Well thank you for that, she thought, loosening the scarf.
With his later comment she shot him a quick glare, but then nodded to the two. "Pleasure," she said cooly. "And no. You just never seemed to come to the back of the train. Obviously I was really missed," she smirked.

"Yes I am a first year" She told Amanda with a nod. She was glad that she was meeting some of the people in her house, even if she was shy. She was trying soo hard to get out of that stage.

"Its nice to meet you too" Claire told Camira. "Ok, well I'm sure glad i wasn't sorted into Hufflepuff then" She said with a smile. She liked that she had been sorted into Slytherin, following in her families footsteps.

"I think i can do that" Claire admitted. She had never been that much of a trouble maker and she probably wasn't about to start. Plus she didn't want to do anything that would make people not like her, especially the ones in her own house. "Yes I am really really happy to be here" She told Whitney. She would rather be here than any other place, especially home.

It was like she heard him walking over all these voices. Brow raised, as the redhead pushed herself forth to him, giving A light kiss on the lips, he couldn't stifle the chuckle. But brow arched up even further as she mentioned Blood. "You hang with wannabe lover boy, now?" How come this was so funny to him?

A light sigh brushed past his lips as Vivi tugged on his hand, pulling him over to the 'saved seating' they had for him, on her words. And, as always, Cayden had the same introduction. 'Getaroom'. "Why don't you find yourself A girl, so you don't have to watch over me, instead?" Sly grin playing on his lips, eyes flickered upward to the blonde boys face as Teagen seated himself.

Oh, now he was going to make him sit in the corner? Testing his limits, teage leaned A little in, arm at her shoulder, and pressed another kiss to her lips for the benifit. Just to make blood's blood boil under A bit. Just jealous he didn't have An immortal hot rod for A girlfriend.

"The train ride was lovely, thankyou for asking." He spoke A little sarcastically. Not that the people in his conpartment bothered him. Just more-so the crouded-ness.

"Well first off, welcome to Slytherin, the best house in Hogwarts. Don't worry about the rest of the Slytherins, they are nice, well some of them. But if you need any help with Charms or Defense Against the Dark Arts, let me know and I'll gladly help you out" Amanda said with a smile, she was being polite to the first year, as to not scare her away.

Luckily for him, Seth’s robes had nailed the back of a more forgiving Slytherin’s head – not as if the Slytherin’s weren’t forgiving or anything. Nevertheless, he did have to question some about them and their forgiveness level. And personal hygiene, but that was entirely a different story. Wait, the whole hygiene problem was Lord Borr’s doing. Never mind then.

With his attention back to the Slytherin guy, he couldn’t help but look at him as if he were a little crazy. Uhh, there was nothing wrong with him. If there was, he’d certainly know it. Perhaps those Gryffindor girls had gotten to him too? My, oh, my. “Erm ... yeah, I’m alright. Why wouldn’t I be?” he asked, extending out his own hand. “Paton. Seth Paton. Pleasure to meet you Cayden....”

Whoa! Wait a second. What did he say his last name was?! Blood. Cayden Blood. That was pretty weird. He hadn’t heard of any Cayden Bloods running around the place, and it just wasn’t a coincidence that he would have the same last name as Asteira.

“Blood? Uhh ... don’t freak out by me asking, but I’m just ... curious. Do you happen to be related to an Asteira Blood?” Wow, that had to be a great question to ask someone that he only had a name to match with. But you know what, Seth didn’t care. If he worked this all out right, he might just figure out what was up with Asteira being replaced by this Cayden dude.

Vivi giggled as she sat down at the table. "We are all friends, my dear." She said before taking a sip out of her goblet of "fruit punch". Smiling, he gave her another kiss. She could tell Cayden wasn't liking this.

"Mon cherie, you just have to deal," she teased to him before resting a hand on Teage's thigh underneath the table, wanting to hold his hand.

Kayla giggled at the younger girl's response, oh she was a riot. "Oh how terribly romantic, on a tropical island with your boyfriend. I do hope you behaved" she raised an eyebrow at her and then chuckled. Like she was one to talk, she remembered only too well what she was like at that age. Her face took on a small dreamy look before answering Paris. "His name is Nicholai Toussaint and unfortunately he won't be coming back to finish his seventh year" her face changed into a sullen look. Gah...she missed him so much already, it wasn't fair.

Xander had somehow managed to get distracted by the vastness of the place and in his distraction had wondered past the Great Hall and had to find his way back. He spotted Paris sitting at the green and Sliver clad table He made his way over She seemed to already know several people and the seats on either side of her was already taken. So he dropped into the seat across across from her. " Did I miss anything interesting?" He asked with a grin.

he smiled at her as she was going to show him around."good. Then you can have your candy back." it was a good deal if you asked him. He was on the better end of the deal of course. he snickered as she called him the player."Im just expanding my social knowledge." that was the right way to word it right?" Its never bad to meet new people in your own house." he looked over at paris as he remembered her as the pudding girl. She threw pudding at agie which ended up on one of the professors face. he gave them both a smile as he spoke to them," Pleasure to met you paris and you Camira." he chuckled as she told him to play nice."Now what are you talking about Kayla. i always place nice."

he chuckled as she called herself normal."You know me. Im not the normal sort of person. And if a girl with great hair wants to snog me then i dont really see any promblem with it." where was she?"Besides, you know your the only girl for me." she should be use to hearing this by now. it was what he always said when she brought up girls."Hey. I looked for you, but i didnt get to the back of the train. by the time i headed that way we had already arrived. You know your important to me. Dont give me that." he told her as he gave her a serious look.

"Wannabe lover boy?" he asked as he raised an eye brow at him."Whatever man. I dont need a girlfriend to be snogged." it was true. At least in france. this place had rules and everything. he rolled his eyes as he went on about a girl again."Yeah yeah yeah. Its not like i want to watch you. As if i havent seen you snogging a girl a million times already. i dont need a replay." he had finally stopped as he went on about the train."Grand. Glad everyone's ride was brilliant." of course he could brag right now that he was one the floor with a few ladies.But no one needed to hear it at the moment.

Cayden gave him a smile as he introduced himself. Another guy who looked like he could have some fun with." Nice to meet you Seth." he shook his head as he answered."No. you look fine. Though does the bright colors bother you? the Yellow bit. I heard from a friend that it was pretty bright and annoying." Of course he could of asked kayla, but this boy looked as good as anyone else.

he looked at him a little strangely as he repeated his last name. Did he stutter? He was speaking English right? Another person? Gesh asteira sure did have some friends over here."No its alright. your not the first person to ask. Mari asked me the same thing when i first met her." He gave him a smile as he let out a small chuckle."How was your train ride?" he asked as it was his question of the hour.



he looked at her as she said they were all friends." see listen to your lady friend teage. she is smarter then you already." he snickered a little as he looked down at the table as she then started to speak again. he paid attention to her as she told him to suck it up." Yeap. Doesnt mean i cant complain and have some fun."

Sure enough, she'd guessed correctly. She was a Slytherin. Her mother would be proud of that at least...ish. Cambri combed her fingers through her long, curly, brown hair and headed over to her designated table. Unfortunately Kyle and Reed hadn't been sorted into the same house. It was a bit disappointing that her only two friends in the school wouldn't be always kept at that distance...but there wasn't anything she could do to change it, so Cam was determined not to let it get to her.

She fixed a smile on her face as she perched herself on the bench, near a few students that looked to be over the age of twelve. Related to blood? What? She thought as a few words hit her ears. Her eyebrows furrowed over those large blue eyes, but Cambri didn't butt in. That was impolite. Rather than bother her new house mates she glanced around the table.

There was one girl that stood out a good deal, and not only because she was in Ravenclaw robes. Hm. Out of place...so apparently it wasn't out of the question to go visit friends in other houses. Her eyes drifted from the Gryffindor table to the Hufflepuff table, before settling back on her plate. No. She needed to stick this out and get to know her house mates. It will happen eventually, might as well help it along. It'll make the next few years easier. She told herself grimly.

"Okay." was all she could say. Whitney had never been close to Raiden but it'd be horrible to lose another great Slytherin. "I just got the urge to get up and dance." she blurted out without meaning to. 'Once again.' What was it with her? Not sure how to retaliate, she grabbed the serpent necklace and held it in her hand, still happy to have it. Perhaps it was a good luck charm and Amanda hadn't noticed.
With a huge grin on her face,Whitney said, "Perfect." It sounded odd but she was really happy that Claire had been the first First Year she ended up speaking to. In all honesty, she reminded her of herself. Timid and willing to go by the rules. "Great,cause you will absolutely love it here; it's like a haven." This,she really knew. It was like a pet: could bring you up when you were down. "I'd gone through a rough patch towards the ending of last term but things would've been a lot worse had I been at home. Hogwarts just makes things a tad better." Whitney had absolutely no idea if she had made sense but she did know that she was rather thirsty; no drink for her though. Her goal was to try and succeed at making Claire feel better about being there and about talking to people she didn't know.

She looked at her with a smirk on her face. "Well that wasn't what I was thinking," She blushed at the thought. "It was just really great waves and we both like surfing." She shrugged. Something clicked her brain at the name, but she didn't say anything. There was enough talk of that Nicholai for his nutter than fruitcake sister and she didn't need any reminders of that girl. "Oh well I'm sorry about that Kayla." She told the girl genuinely.

She looked up when Xander sat down across from her. She would rather he sit next to her, but those seats were already taken. She smiled at him. Glad he was there, she wondered where her sister had gotten off to. She didn't like her being out of her sight. "Um nothing to exciting yet I am afraid." She commented staring down at her plate and wishing there was food on it.

"Are you sure that you haven't gotten into any sugar that I don't know about there Whit?" Amanda asked curiously, raising her eyebrow slightly when Whitney said that she wanted to dance. She noticed that she grabbed onto the serpent necklace and she smirked.

“Umm ... I don’t have a problem with the yellow,” Seth replied honestly looking down at his robes. “Though, they’re not really a yellow colour. It’s more of a gold colour, so I guess it’s alright. ... I’m not sure where you heard that, but it isn’t a very bright colour. If it were, there would be plenty of blind people in the world out there, which would be just fine with me depending on who all ended up getting blind.” Newell, Denton, and his father would definitely be fair game.

Despite the fact that Cayden had basically thrown his little question on whether or not he was related to Asteira or not, Seth let a weak smile appear on his face. However, from the sound of things coming right out of the boy’s mouth, he was, in some way, related to her. “So are you like her brother or something?” If you just would’ve said something about that when I asked you, I wouldn’t have to waste a few minutes on this.

Seth was rather surprised and horrified when Cayden had asked how his train ride was. The kid knew something – there was no doubt about it. But how? Those weird Gryffindor females couldn’t have gotten word out that quick. That would’ve been impossible! Perhaps this was just a random, innocent question. “It was just splendid,” he lied through his teeth, praying that the Slytherin wouldn’t continue with the subject.

“So ... err ... excited to be here at Hogwarts?” Way to change the subject, right? Right.

"Exactly the point!" Jayne answered, pointing a finger at him jokingly. "Happy all the time is what I'm saying." She felt a slight urge to giggle after that, but instead just gave him a small smile. She was just so used to that by now. It wasn't something that she needed to hear by any means, but it was just.. expected.
Looking him in the eyes, she returned the serious look for a moment then slid her elbow on the table to nudge his saying, "I knooow that. No worries. It was just insanely boring without you there is all." She shrugged her slim shoulders, glancing at her shortly cut nails. "I could practically hear my soul dying," she said sarcastically, returning her eyes to his.

Dorn would slowly walk towards the table, sitting down silently. He would look around at the other Slytherins, and then at the plate of food infront of him, taking a slice of Shepherds Pie. From then on, he took no note of those surrounding him, politely eating his dish.
