Lucy entered the Great Hall. She had just spent most of her time putting all her books in her dorm room. She started walking towards the Slytherin table. She saw Freya and Penelope and walked over to them. "Hey Freya! Penelope! Great to see you guys!" she said sitting down. She grabbed some food and placed it on her plate.

"Hey." Freya said as she continued to stare at her plate for a moment, then looked up to see Lucy. "How have you been? It seems like I haven't seen you in years." Well, that wasn't entirely made up. Freya had only seen Lucy a few times last year, even though they shared a dormitory.

"Wow. You don't look twelve." Guinea pig. "I think it looks okay. But I've never flown before so I don't know how well I'd do. And I don't like much if I'm not actually doing anything."

"Ya I bet we do too. I heard that the first few years the first years are togther." She smiled.

"Yes that was the Bloody Baron, ghost of Slytherin House. I've never actually seen him before, only read about him. I don't know whether he'll make a constant appearance, but it seems as though the ghosts chose this term to all come back to Hogwarts for some reason. The question is why.." Amanda said, taking a sip from her goblet.

"Yeah." She answered not looking at Amanda. 'Hmmph.' Whitney supposed she understood Amanda's motives,she just really wish the conversation,or fight rather, had not happened. "I'll restrain myself." No,she wasn't too sure if she'd understand her but that was the least of her problems at the moment. What she was really worrying about was keeping herself from blurting everything out to Zeke. First she had to tell him what she'd done but somehow not mention this little dilemma. Although,technically,depending on how you looked at it,she'd caused this to happen too; and she had told him that she would tell him what she'd done. "Does this count?" Once again. "Oops." Now what would Amanda assume she was thinking?

"Well I suggest we await Paris in this conversation, you know, because she has the 'ammunition' to help someone never forget you or us." He said taking a sip of his pumpkin juice. "But do tell myself Jake more of what happened to cause you to want revenge," Trey added. A little back story never hurt the situation.

"Okay good, so what classes are you looking forward to taking this term?" Amanda asked curiously, taking another sausage from the tray and putting it on her plate, eating it slowly. She wanted to turn the conversation onto a different subject to avoid continuing this.

Penelope looked up and saw Lucy walking over towards them.
'Hey Lucy, Good to see you, Good holidays?'



Penelope nodded and thought.
'Well, what's your main interest, the one you spend most of your time on?

"Agh! I don't know! Stop asking me things!" Freya said as she flung her arms over her face and slammed her head on the table. 'Ow.' "Well," She finally said through muffled speech. "I-don't, no. I guess it would-Agh! I'm so confused!" Freya forced herself to stay hidden against the table. "See!? This is what happens to me. I can't decide. What if I spend my entire life not making any serious decision? I'll wind up heading nowhere in any respect." She sighed, "I guess what suits me best though is my laboratory work." 'Yes, that's a good start.' "Something that is fairly quiet and I can control what's going on." 'But I like excitement too, and unpredictable situations.' "I guess if I continue what my mother and I had been doing...I dunno." 'But if I spend all my time conducting studies then there won't be time for anything else...oh rats.' She sighed and kept her head on the table. Freya had this discussion with herself multiple times over summer, she never made much progress though...

"Me too. I want to explore the grounds. Besides Miss Prefect is going to show me around. Otherwise she doesnt get her candy." Ha this was a funny game they were playing. was he okay?"erh. Yeah." he really needed to talk to her later. a few things needed to be talked over before anything else happened." Maybe just too much pumpkin juice. Not the biggest pumpkin fan. Unless its like pumpkin carving. Thats pretty fun."



"It is. Thank you." he told her as he thanked her for getting it for him. She was a bit of his fashion adviser. When she dragged him shopping she always pointed out the clothes that were better suited for him. That and she insisted that he get them over other things.he didnt mind it by now. they had been friends forever and he was past use to it."Managed to earn? I earned them fair and square. You drag me around and i get sunglasses. Its a simple enough deal. At what part of the deal did it go over your head?" though he wasnt quite sure if he could put simpler then that."First off...they arent here to keep you out of trouble. Second. YOU..."he moved to point a finger at her."Could never beat or kill me. Suck it up. If i want to do something their isnt anything you can do about it. Gesh you would think after this long you would of realized it." He lightly knocked on her head as he nodded."Yep. makes sense now. Its a bit hollow in there." he snickered as he gave her a smile.


"Um.No." he told her as she kept insisting she would of had him on the floor. for many reasons but mostly because it was the great hall. he turned his head to her as she was trying to explain what she had meant. Teage wouldnt want to snog her. Teage snogged anything that was hot. he was about to say something when she yelled at teage. I dont want to song you. " You do know you just said he wouldnt snog you which means you would snog him. You did just say you didnt want to snog him. You do know that kinda just made you sound stupid?" he just wanted to point that bit out. he just skipped over the nicknames seeing as she would figure her own out soon enough. Though they should paint her with red stripes to make it accurate.he started to chuckle as she told them to get a room."Tried that already, several times." he gave her a shrug as he took another drink.

Nathaniel thought about that for a second. "Freya, I thought we were friends.." he trailed off. "..And friends don't do that kind of stuff.". Maybe they weren't friends? He thought they were. Why else would she put up with him?

Jake nodded frantically... this won't lose any points... hopefully.

Keeping an attentive ear on the conversation, Jake made sure to look out for any incoming teachers or overly interested students or prefects. It was hard with the two Slytherin prefects on that very table-obviously-but Jake was being overly cautious... they had broken no rules.

'Oh gosh.' There it was, that awful, terrible question she could never answer with a straight yes or no response. "Nathaniel, knock it off. You're being silly. You honestly think I would do something like that? Well, if someone's life was at stake, maybe." Of course she wouldn't do a thing like that, but it was interesting to know what other people thought about her. "Tell me, what is your opinion of me as a person? Don't sugar coat things either." Right, this would turn up well...not. She could imagine what he was going to say before a word exited his lips.

"I'm not being silly, Freya." Nathaniel looked at the older girl. What he really thinks of her. That's not hard. "What I really think of you? I think that you're a good person and that you keep people at a distance because you're scared to let them get close to you. I think that you should trust people a little more. Like me. That's what I think." he looked at her with a serious look on his face. He cracked his knuckles and asked "What do you really think of me?"

Xander washed down another bite of his food with some pumpkin juice and looked up at paris as the Baron floated off. " he doesn't seem all that scary does he." xander asked

She stared at him with her pale eyes. They always had a strange glint of malice hiding in the dark, very much like her mother's, but much less pronounced. Her immediate thoughts were, 'I think you're a fool for letting others become too close, because eventually they will leave, each and every one.' "What I think of you?" Freya repeated as she looked away and glanced at her goblet which was only half full again, "I think you-" She stopped, thinking honesty was the best policy, although in this case it may not be. Nevertheless, Freya said exactly what she had thought in the first place. "I think you're a fool for letting others become too close, because eventually they will leave, each and every one." She continued to stare at her goblet with a rock hard expression, "A nice, decent fool however. Honest in most cases."

She started filling her plated with roasted chicken and potatoes as she the Baron floated away. She looked at Xander with a smile on her face. The Baron made her feel better and she felt a slight kinship toward him. "He's not scary at all. He just has high standards."She told him as she leaned over and brushed a few stray crumbs over his shoulder.

"Okay,I am a fool. I'll give you that" said Nathaniel with a smile. "Some people do leave you, true. Others don't. The people that leave you aren't really the people you want in your life..am I correct? My mother left my father and I and I say good riddance to her!". "Plus,I've not left you. You can trust me. I'll always be around."

he blushed when she brushed a few crumbs off his shirt. " from what I've heard I think high standards is a required trait." he grinned.

Freya sighed, clearly he didn't get it, but all in due time. "Fine. I'll try and trust you." She said in a stiff and not so convincing voice. Freya glanced up at the staff table again, it was going to be an interesting year to say the least, and she was already becoming restless. Just sitting here wasn't doing her any good. "What all do you think is going to happen this year in the castle?"

Nathaniel knew better than that. He knew that Freya wouldn't trust him. He wished she would but he knew better. He rolled his eyes at her "Sure Freya" he said following her eyes to the staff table. "No Idea, what about you?"

She saw him blush and it made her smile. She was glad that she had the same effect on him that he had on her. "To much is given much is required," She told him.

She knocked over a salt shaker that was on the table. "I dunno, something exciting I hope. Were you around when the house rooms showed up? That certainly held my interest for a while." Freya reached into her cloak pocket and took out her mirror, examined her teeth for a moment, then snapped it shut and put it back in it's proper place.

Maybe now that the subject had been changed,Whitney would feel less horrible and more.....thirsty. Just as she thought it, a great wave of thirst came over her and she chugged most of her water. Once she was no longer thirsty she answered Amanda's question,a tad out of breath. "Seeing as Charms is my best,by far,I can't wait for that one. No matter how bad the teacher is,I'm pretty good at it. And then there's History of Magic,have you seen the professor for it? He does seem like fun." To Whitney,any professor who could sit at a staff table,with shades,and still look great must be fun. "What about you?"
