Freya looked up and saw a young girl walking towards the house table. "Hello, I'm Freya Skyler-Lorenssith. Welcome to Slytherin, I'm sure you'll love it here." Becoming more bold and welcoming than last year, she stretched herself across the table to where the girl had sat down and extended a hand to shake. Freya glanced up at the staff table, 'Goodness! Looks like we've got our new Headmaster!' She smiled as she got a clear sight of her potions professor. 'Wonder how the job will treat him?'

Nancy grinned at Shana while grabbing the pumpkin juice bottle to pour herself a huge glass of the delicious drink. Taking a gulp out of her glass Nancy's eyes widened slightly at Shana's response and she put the glass back on the table saying, "Okay?! Hogwarts is okay?! Just okay? I still think it's awesome even though I've already been here for two whole years." Then with a small chuckle she added, "Or maybe that's the reason I love this castle so much."

Then taking a closer look at the little girl Nancy noticed the depressed look on her face which made her feel all anxious inside. Eep. Hopefully she wasn't about to start crying right now. At least not before the feast was officially over so Nancy would be allowed to just dash out of the hall flailing without getting points deducted from Slytherin.
Desperately searching for some of her friends Nancy was unable to find any at the moment. Oh, great. Where were they when you needed them?! So she just settled with pointing out their Prefects to Shana. "So, this over there are Clifford and Evangeline, they're the Slytherin Prefects. I don't know if you have already met them."

Glancing at the other girl who'd introduced herself to the little girl Nancy recognized Freya whom she'd met during that exciting treasure hunt last term. Smiling at her she said, "Hey Freya. How was your summer?" Okay, that was probably a pretty lame question but whatever. Nancy'd never been especially good with this smalltalk-thing. Then noticing Freya's glance towards the Staff Table she added with a small smirk on her lips, "Yes, it's pretty surprising, isn't it? Who our new headmaster is, I mean."

Jake was heading back for Cameron when two girls from his compartment earlier caught his eye, so he immediately changed track and headed for them, though he wasn't entirely sure why. They hadn't been exactly... friendly, earlier.

Still... he needed a sane conversation and he liked most of the Slytherins he'd so far met. Go for it, Jakers.

"Hi," Jake said as he sat down on the bench, and tried to be as polite as his honest mind would let him. "Remember me?"

At least that nasty giggler wasn't here right now... Lolcat had run off somewhere, so he couldn't endanger that Pygmy Puff if things had gotten cruel.

Whoa. Shouty, shouty. Clifford looked up when he heard someone calling his name and chuckled when little Theo shoved his fingers in his ears as a result of him. That's what he'd felt like doing when that firstie had started screeching 'cause of the ghosts. Eh.

"Oh, cheers." He grinned proudly at the congratulatons he recieved. He kept forgetting about the badge on his chest and that there were lots of people who still didn't know he was their new Prefect.

Was he trying out this term? Silly question or what? "Of course I am!" He replied to Tanjiro at once, the grin still spread across his lips. "School is pointless without playing Quidditch." Oops. Maybe he shouldn't of said that infront of Evangeline. Moving swiftly on.. "You're trying out again, right?" He hoped so. "And you Theo?" He asked, turning to last terms Keeper.


"What do you mean 'really?'" Clifford's eyebrows raised at the surprise in Evangeline's voice. "You mean, you've never read about where I'm from?" GASP! The horror! "There are loads of famous legends and stuff about Cornwall." He told her with a casual shrug. Quite frankly, he'd heard the stories so many times that they got a bit dull now.

Sipping from his goblet of pumpkin juice, he nodded at Evangeline's next question. "Yeah.." He answered quite solemnly. "Aunt Gertrude told me his name is Thor, Brutus told me off when I went to explore though." He explained, the memory causing him to wrinkle his nose. "I think there is something up there though, 'cause I always hear funny noises."

Shana Felt really bad about making nancy worried Nancy Im fine I love hogwarts it's just im not very happy at the moment but dont worry i'll be fine i've Met Clifford but not Evangeline.Im sure i will soon.Shana Smiled At nancy.

Ixupy looked at everyone as she speared a slab of roast beef and began daintly eating it listening to the conversations around her.

Freya looked over, "Hey, Nancy. How are you doing?" She said kindly and resting on her elbows again, "My summer was good, busy, but good. Although I'm not one for the heat." Blah. Hot weather and Freya did not mix well. It was like a snowflake in a fireplace. She looked over to the staff table again. "Yeah, I'm a bit surprised, I was thinking of another staff member who might get the position. But I guess the right choice was made, we'll see. No offence to the guy or anything, he's great, and really nice, I'm just wondering if he'll get his scatterbrained habits all sorted out." Freya couldn't help but laugh a little, remembering the day she introduced herself in Bontecou's office.
She spotted another girl farther along the table, eating as though she was in a restaurant or something. 'If that was me it would be torn apart and gone by now.' But to each their own...

Shana Looked Up And smiled at jake.Yeahh i think i do your that dude from the compartment.Hey How are you doin ?

"Hi," she said, and extended a hand to shake. "I'm Pansy, Pansy Parkinson Malfoy and I'm glad that I Slytherin. This is good house. Hmm, new Headmaster? Who was the last Headmaster house?" She also looked at his potions professor.

She turns to Nancy and Eying. "Hi, I'm Pansy. Oh yes I am a first year." She says with a smile. "And you?"

Tanjiro put on a curious, weird face. "Wha? Whatever, Theo. Honestly... do you think he'd be able to hear me over his girlfriend? Look at those two love-birds. In fact, I doubt he even hear a word of what I just said." He chuckled at the end of sentence.

Realizing that Clifford had replied, surprisingly, he smirked. "I knew that... and yeah school IS pointless without quidditch. I can't imagine what'd Hogwarts'd be like without it."

He turned to Theo as well and raised his eyes in anticipation for an answer. Hopefully, Theo was going to as well. Who knows? Maybe he had gotten better over the summer, not that he wasn't already beastly at goal keeping... and at that age!

Nancy was just about to turn back to face Shana again to make sure whether or not she was about to tear up right now and there, so Nancy could jump up and run for sheer life as quickly as possible, a rather familiar voice sat down next to her. Oh, of course the boy the voice belonged to sat down next to her. Gee! Nancy was starting to become slightly confused.
Half turning back to face the boy who had plopped down next to her Nancy's left eyebrow raised slightly before she replied, "Oh, of course I remember you, Jake. You're a member of the Misfits, aren't you? Ah yes, I remember. You didn't want to help me since you thought that I might actually join your little group or something." Which would actually be quite handy given the fact that she still needed some help to plan that revenge but whatever. "Just stick with your little group then and I won't bother you anymore, okay?" She rolled her eyes once at him while turning back to Shana again.

Giving Shana a huge smile Nancy nodded once before replying, "Yes, you'll definitely going to love Hogwarts. Oh, and you'll meet a lot of new people during classes, I'm sure. I could of course introduce you to a few people from other houses but I'm way too lazy to get up now. But I will soon, I promise." She let out a small chuckle and winked at Shana.

You were working at Diagon Alley, weren't you? I forgot which shop it was but someone said that you got this part-time job for the summer holidays. Am I right?" Giving the other Slytherin girl a questioning look Nancy leaned over to take one of the delicious looking apple-pies. After taking a bite and smiling happily as her tongue touched the wonderful warm pie Nancy's blue eyes flickered once again back up to the Staff Table to rest on Professor Bontecou. Whoa, it looked really weird seeing him up there sitting in the headmaster's chair. This was something she probably needed some time to get used to.

Joining in laughing with Freya Nancy turned her attention back to the older girl and said, "Yes, I totally agree. He was one of the last professors on my list for potential new headmasters/headmistresses. It's just that...that he seems pretty...confused at times." She quickly glanced back at their new headmaster before she continued, "I mean, I'm not even sure he'll find the way to his new office." She chuckled slightly before taking another sip of her pumpkin juice.

"Nice to meet you Pansy." Freya said as she shook the girls hand and released it rather quickly. "It is a good house, yes. Although for some it takes a longer time to realize it." She nodded towards the staff table. "Professor Bontecou is the new Headmaster this year, our previous Headmistress left after last term. Hmm, I think Bontecou was a Ravenclaw, but I'm not entirely sure." Freya wondered for a moment, he certainly did look as though he could have been a Ravenclaw. "He's really nice though, so no worries there."

"At least he's not mean or anything. That would be horrible if we had a Headmaster who was a total snot. He is pretty young though." Freya said as she took a sip of her hot water. "Maybe we can make him a map as a 'Congratulations for Becoming Headmaster' gift. He might like that, you never know." Actually, Freya still found herself getting turned around in the castle at times, even if she just went for a run every morning and started to come back to the common room.

Shana Laughed and smiled at nancy.She didn't know what to say so she didn't say anything she just smiled.

Goodness gracious. What was it with people shouting at the table, eh? Had Slytherins lost any sorts of etiquette during the summer? She was about to turn and tell the boy off for disrupting the peace and quiet when she realised he had been shouting for Clifford. Eh. Let him handle with him then.

Especially since they were talking about Quiddich. Already. Ew.

Nipping on the end of a new breadstick, she looked guiltyly at him when he asked her if she had never read anything about Cornwall. EEEP! "Guilty." She mumbled rather ashamed of herself. How had she not felt curious enough to read about her boyfriend's home? BLEH! "I mean ... I just know it's green and ... and that it has lots of cliffs." That was about it.

And of course her traitorous cheeks were making that clear.

Her forehead crinkled in thought when he told her about Aunt Gertrude, Thor and Brutus. "Well, maybe it isnt a ghost? And something alot more dangerous?" She suggested with a tiny shrug, brushing the hair away from her eyes. "Brutus could've been protecting you from ... from a vampire! RAWR!"

Had she actually .. roared?

Clearing her throat in embarrassment, she nodded her head. "I mean ... yeah, right." She mumbled before taking a large gulp out of Clifford's goblet. Yeah, at least she couldn't roar when she was drinking.

Jake nodded politely at the girl who had been sleeping on the train, but for the life of him he couldn't remember what she was called.

"Yeah, I'm Jake," he replied. "And... erm, what's your name again?"

What?! What?!

"Yeah, I'm a member of the Misfits," Jake replied, confused. "But I never said I wouldn't help you. You just decided you'd rather get me to help you get to Paris so she could help you," he corrected, his face darkening.

And then, hang on! "I came over here, so surely that should give you the impression that you bothered me..." actually, you did "...and that I didn't want to talk to you." Jake added on, quickly.

People were so... weird.

He couldn't help but to frown a little at Tanjiro's words about Evangeline, but shrugged it off ... for now. It was cool that he was gonna be trying out again too - Tanjiro was a good Chaser to be teamed up with.

"This term is gonna be the term we win that cup back again." He stated with a firm nod. Stoopid Ravenclaws had had it long enough now. GRR!

An apologetic smile tugged at the corner of his lips when he turned back to Evangeline. He knew what she thought of Quidditch talk. He wasn't about to hold it against her though. He'd known her dislike for the sport since their first year and he'd grown completely used to it. She wouldn't be the same Evangeline if one day she woke up a Quidditch fanatic.

He was a little surprised that she hadn't read about Cornwall though - for someone who liked to read as much as she did anyway. Even he knew Cornwall had some pretty cool history. He actually used to like listening to Aunt Gertrude's stories about King Arthur and Merlin when he was younger.

"Green and cliffs. Well, that's a good start, I suppose." He said teasingly with a small chuckle of amusement. Her embarrassment was clear, he could practically see her cheeks reddening right before his eyes. Why she was so embarrassed though, he wasn't entirely sure.

And then she RAWRed at him.

Okaaaaaay.

"Brutus wouldn't protect me from a vampire.." He corrected her, his smile looking more like a grimace now. "..more like chuck me in the attic with it."

"Yeah, you're darn right we are! You're going for Chaser, I suppose? I don't know if I'm going for Chaser this term. Maybe Seeker, but the mind changes quickly, y'know?"

He noticed the dismay in Clifford's girlfriend's eyes. He didn't really take an interest in her but he knew to respect people who felt uncomfortable to certain subjects of talk.

He closed his mouth, straightened his back, cracked his neck, and leaned his head on his hand.

Cocking her head slightly to the side Nancy listened to what Freya was saying and nodded enthusiastically in agreement to her words, which might have looked a bit weird with her head still cocked to the side. "Yes, totally true. No, I didn't mean that I'm not happy for him he became our new headmaster it was just slightly...unexpected." Just as she'd taken another sip of her pumpkin juice Nancy heard what Freya said next and almost spat all the juice out onto the table again. Thank Merlin, she gulped it down just in time. It wouldn't have exactly that...appetiting if she'd actually spat her pumpkin juice on the table. Ew.
The quick gulping caused her to cough, though, so Nancy just sat there for a few seconds coughing until her eyes started to fill up and she finally managed to, between some coughs, get out, "That's brilliant. I really think we should do that. With a huge red line which shows him the way to his new office!"

Upon noticing the confused look on Jake's face Nancy bit her lip slightly while listening to what Jake was retorting. Maybe she'd been a bit too harsh with her prior conclusion but still, it had seemed like he didn't want to help her. Duh. Jumping on a sentence he said Nancy's eyes widened in excitement as she interrupted him saying, "So you would help me?" Hopefully she hadn't scared him off or anything since he seemed like her only chance, okay this sounded a bit melodramatic but whatever, to get her proper revenge on Hailey.

Trying to keep her excitement under control to not show it too much Nancy tried to put on an apologetic face more to get into Jake's good books again than because she actually felt like apologizing but the facial expression was the same. "Oh, I'm sorry, Jake. It was just that..." Yes, now she needed a good excuse for her behavior. "Uhm...Paris seemed to be like, sort of the leader of your group so I thought we might have to ask her whether you could all help me, you know." Okay, not very creative but hopefully sufficient.

Suppressing the urge to roll her eyes Nancy gripped her glass of pumpkin juice pretty tightly so she wouldn't shout at Jake telling him all the things that were on her mind right now. Instead she tried to intensify the apologetic look on her face and said in a small voice, "Yes, you're right. I'm sorry. I might have overreacted." She couldn't help it, she just had to add, "a bit."

Freya laughed as she watched Nancy. "You okay?" She asked just before the girl collected herself from coughing all over the place. "Well, as long as you promise not to cover the entire thing with glitter we should be alright." She laughed a little bit. "Here's hoping the Headmaster doesn't have six or seven maps floating around that other students have made for him." Freya took a bite of her meat and potatoes and then spoke again, "I never thought I would be doing arts and crafts in Hogwarts."

Shana's Mood had changed and she was now happy but she was so happy she wasn't paying attention to anything.So she didn't knowwhat was going on.Suddenly she snapped back into the real world.Ermm What-What's Going on ?

"Nice to meet you, to Freya." she is smiling. "Yes it certainly is." agrees with Freya.

"See he heard you. Mr Clifford is really nice. As is Miss Evangeline. I like our prefects. Well done Mr Clifford."

Sasori looked around as she headed to her new table. The other Slytherins were talking, but she didn't really care. She plopped down onto the bench and started sipping on her drink. She didn't really care if anyone noticed her; it was unlikely anyone would care about a third-year Beauxbatons transfer, anyway. And that was just as well, as she didn't much care for anything most talked about anyway.

"JAAAKE! How's it going buddy?" Trey asked as he plopped down next to him with a plate in hand. "Here have some of these," he said piling some meat and potatoes onto a plate for Jake. "They're good for ya and, well they taste better coming from the Slytherin table for some reason." That was his own opinion of course, however the food probably tasted the same across the board. "So your friend here, a wonderful Slytherin, is in need of help from The Misfits?"
