As soon as Sakura opened her mouth Cam became aware just how uncomfortable the younger girl was. She didn't hide her nerves too well...but of course she didn't. Kura had just woken up in the Hospital wing, bleeding, and was now sitting around with a group of strange older students. In her own first year she'd been terribly uncomfortable around the school.

"So tell me about yourself Sakrua. You said you have a cousin at Hogwarts? Do you have any other family around here?" Cam inquired, hoping to get the girl talking and ease some of her nerves. Cam looked over at Amanda, and could see the cocky glint in the girls eyes. Cam merely grinned back for a moment, and took a sip of her water.

"If only you knew." She'd wait until after she kicked Amanda's butt to tell her what she was...it would be safer up in the air anyway...the nosy kids at the lake wouldn't be able to hear her. Cam's body was covered with ghastly scars. Her mother had never been terribly adept at healing spells...she'd never been able to get rid of the scars. They were the only indication of just how rough and tumble the girl was.

"Well, we'll see who can take who off their broom first tomorrow huh?" She said with a smirk, she was sure that she was going to take Cam off her broom first considering that she had a brand new Firebolt which she tested out, it handled so well and it was really fast.

"Like I said, I have a cousin who is also a Slytherin and a first year, her name is Ruby, I also have a Gryffindor relative who's a second year and one in Ravenclaw but I'm not sure what year he's in." Sakura said with a shrug, she was beginning to regain control of her masks. "I also have an older brother and sister, they never came here though, my brother works for my fathers company and my sister works at the Department of Mysteries." She trailed off there not sure if she was speaking too much.

"Well yes Beater can be fun I suppose, however I never got to play it, as my brother always insisted that he and his friends play the other positions."

"Oh, I don't doubt that I won't take you off your broom. I've never even touched a bat before. Not for Baseball, not for Quidditch...but you won't get me off mine that easily. I'm tougher than I look." She announced proudly.

"Hmm, well I'll find that out tomorrow. When I'm done with you, you're going to be able to hit that bludger just about as hard as I can, though you probably couldn't hit it much harder, unless you wanted to fall off your broom from the sheer force of the hit" Amanda said and smirked, she only acted innocent when she wasn't playing Quidditch or duelling.

Sakura was sitting at the table listening to the older girls banter and suddenly she felt homesick, she missed Mei Lin and how they used to be. However she made sure not to let that show, and quietly ate and drank.

"Oh so you're trying out for the quidditch team this year are you?" Kayla asked with curiosity. "I have never been interested in playing myself...might have something to do with not having my head knocked off by a bludger" she laughed softly as she poured herself a drink.

"Not much" she replied. "Just getting ready for when classes start and trying to find out which Hufflepuff's lost us all those points" Kayla ground her teeth lightly together and she gripped the goblet very hard. Oh when she got her hands on them...look out!

Kayla looked over to the first year, who seemed a little down. "Are you alright there luv?" she turned to the girl and extended her hand. "Kayla Winters and who might you be?

Sakura was slightly shocked that she was being talked to again and turning to the girl that said her name was Kayla she shook her hand and said, "Hello, I'm Sakura Takenouchi, and I'll be okay in a few hours." She said with a small smile. She wasn't too sure what to say really, what with all these older students around.

"Would the two that got detention be a Jack and John Mosier?" She asked cocking her head to one side.

I was born and raised in England but had to spend a lot of time in Italy with my grandmother and I always felt out of sorts there as well" she chuckled but without any humour attached to it. "But then that could have been because my grandmother and I didn't get on too well."

She gave the girl a sympathetic look. "Don'Yt worry about it, blood's not the nicest thing to look at - at the best of times." Kayla raised an eyebrow at Sakura. "Don't tell me you know them? They've been nothing but trouble since they got here" she sighed deeply and shook her head.

I think that most of their trouble is with the Muggle Studies Professor, something about their brother Jose." Sakura said before drinking some more juice, relieved that the shaking in her hand had stopped.

"Mmm it would be. Classes well Potions, Ancient Runes and Arithmancy for one, Transfiguration may be good as well. I'm not too sure about the other ones though." Sakura said with a little shrug.

"Now how did I know you were going to say Potions. All you Slytherins, have a thing for Potions, I personally don't get them..." she shrugged her shoulders..."but there you go." Well with all the new professors it was going to be hard to say which subject was good. "My favourite of course is DADA, but that's because I like duelling. So are you planning on playing quidditch?"

"Yea I'm planning on it, I want to try out at least. Like you I like the position of Chaser so that's what I'm trying for, although way I hear it I probably wont make it onto the actual team, there's some fierce competition. As to all us Slytherin's liking Potions well I'm not really sure why." Sakura said with an innocent smile and small shrug.

Sakura was feeling a tiny bit tired but she didn't want to get up from the table, because truthfully she didn't think that she could actually walk the whole distance, and she also didn't want to get lost or run into a ghost.

Suddenly her head snapped up and she ended up looking at two older students, one of whom she was sure she shared a dorm room with. She really hoped that neither of them knew about the fainting incident, she really hoped most people didn't but with the amount of blood that was on her sheets she wasn't sure that was possible.
