Helena sat down at her normal spot at the Slytherin Table -- midway down it -- and sighed, welcoming herself back to what she had missed over the summer. She smiled warmly at the food laid out before her, though she really wasn't in much of a mood to eat. She noticed that not many people were in the Hall that early in the morning, but she shrugged it off. She would find Emiliano later.

Freya put a couple pieces of protein in between the bread and took a bite, thankful that she had a healthy appetite.

"Awesome! Listening to you almost makes me want to try out as Beater. I can't help but think you and I would have so much fun up there together!" She insisted, then folded herself onto one of the benches. At that point Cam was feeling strangely pumped. She was in a mood to go work up some Slytherin spirit. Maybe if her and Amanda could get the team going...maybe, just maybe their house could win the cup. It was a pity that one house had been monopolizing it for so long.

"I'm so psyched for tryouts now!" She half-squealed, then giggled. "I mean...I did it before to meet people mostly. Now I honestly want to show Ravenclaw up." She babbled while she spooned some mashed potatoes onto her plate.

"Well you should! I mean, with my help, you'll make an awesome Beater for Slytherin." Amanda said with a smile. "Oh yes, we would for sure. Even if you're not a Beater, we still have to work together to take out Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw to get the Quidditch Cup." She said, then picked up her fork and knife and cut up her sausages.

"I have a great feeling about this term for Quidditch, we shall end Ravenclaw's reign as the Quidditch Cup Champions and become the Champions for this term" She said proudly, she was all pumped up with Slytherin pride now and she was going to show that while she played Quidditch for her house.

"I can just hardly imagine myself in that position!" Cam responded. It sounded like so much fun, but she'd always been the small girl. She'd learned to play seeker because she was the right size. She was just shy of five and a half feet. Of course she could be as tall as her mother--she wasn't a midget by any means...but the captain would probably laugh in her face when Cam said she wanted to be beater.

"I guess it would be a shock to the other team...being knocked off their broom by someone half their size." She mused, then laughed. Cam poured some gravy over her potatoes, then pulled out her messy bun, and put it back in, this time managing to get all the loose curls off her neck. "It's a deal then? Tomorrow, you and I go out to the grounds, and you teach me how to play beater? Then we can kick butt at those tryouts!" Cam moved a bite of potatoes to her mouth and reminisced for a moment.

"Ya know...my team back in Biloix we use to get really into the games...like...we were always pranking the other teams and such...I think once the team gets formed we should do something to the other teams....like paint their locker rooms green or something." She suggested in a whisper. "I mean, who cares if we lose points? We'll make up for it in matches! Something like that would totally boost Slytherin spirit!"

"I'm only 5 foot 4, and I'm a better Beater than someone that's almost 5 foot 9." Amanda said with a smirk, she liked to bring up her size in comparison to her ability as a Beater.

"It would be definately a shock, they'd know not to underestimate the Beaters. " She said and pondered that thought. As she was thinking, she poured herself some pumpkin juice and ate some of the sausages that she had cut up on her plate. "Deal! We're definately going to rock those tryouts and show the Captain that we're worthy of being on the team" She said with a smile.

"Ooh I like that idea, the only problem is that if the Captain found out it was us that did it, we'd be banned from playing Quidditch for the rest of the time that we're here." Amanda said, wondering how they could boost Slytherin pride without vandalizing the other teams locker rooms.

"Size doesn't matter then I guess." Cam agreed with a laugh. The Slytherin team would be the laughing stalk of the school with their two tiny beaters, but they'd show everyone up! Slytherin couldn't lose this year! Not again! Cam simply wouldn't allow it! They had to win! You'll just have to get that winning attitude. She told herself firmly, and ate another bite of her potatoes.

"Deal! Your just going to have to spend a lot of time out in the rain with me to get me ready to do that rocking." Cam responded with a laugh, then nodded along as Amanda refuted her prank idea. Of course it could get them into a lot of trouble...but maybe they could get the captain in on it...no one had to know it was them...Cam bit her lip thoughtfully for a moment, trying to think of a way to go about this.

"Well how about we don't do anything they can't clean up with a simple spell, just do stuff to let them know we'll be fighting...nothing horrible, no hazing or whatnot...just fun stuff." She suggested with a shrug. Cam had no intention of doing something absolutely horrible. But pranks could be fun from both ends of it...if they could get Ravelclaw into the friendly rivalry thing...

Helena swallowed slightly and accidently poured her juice well past the brim of the cup. She quickly shook herself back and mopped it up with her napkin and quite a few others, but her blue eyes remained on the girl who had just walked in. A girl who looked exactly Helena's height with the same curly dark brown hair and the eyes just a shade apart from her own color....

Evolette McKenna stormed up to the Slytherin table with huff. Flicking her hair off of her shoulder, the fifth year glared at a piece of bread before picking it up, placing it on her plate and proceeding to stab it with a fork.

"Stupid." she mumbled, taking out all of her anger on the poor defenseless bread. "Male." She continued grunting words that really had nothing to do with the other. It felt like everything she had been holding inside was suddenly spilling out.

Nico was gone. Miles was always with Vannie. Hugo. Well, Hugo was best friends with Terry, and as much as she didn't want him to take sides before, it would totally crush her if he didn't take her side; and Terry. He might as well have just ripped her heart out and stomped on it. It probably would have hurt less.

Slumping a little, she dropped her head in her hand, staring at the bread that she had just destroyed.

Whitney walked down the Great Hall and headed toward the Slytherin House table. It was odd but she was actually feeling rather homesick. She missed everyone,including her mother; mostly her father though. Without looking to see who was around her she plopped on one of the benches and stared at a cup of pumpkin juice. 'Coffee.' Hoping that if she concentrated hard enough,it would "magically" change to coffee.

Helena was momentarily distracted from what appeared to be a clone of her halfway down the table by a girl who had sat down beside her, apparently in distress. Ummm.... are you okay? Her blue eyes were kind, but curious. Yes, always curious.

Noelle looked around then sat down at the table and reached for a piece of bread, but a much older looking girl got it before her and it looked as though the bread had done something to upset her by the look of it. "Er..are you ok?" she smiled reaching for another piece of bread, merely snatching it out before the girl got ahold of it, like she had the last one.

Lima cleared her throat uncomfortably as she approached the Slytherin who seemed to be massacring a piece of bread. Maybe now was not the best time to talk to her afterall...

But she had looked for the girl. She wanted to know why she disliked Lima and she wasn't going to turn around so easily.

Sighing, she took a seat beside Evee and said, "hello," conversationally. Or, at least she hoped it was conversationally. She never knew how things would go with people in bad moods afterall.

"Rain doesn't scare me, I've been through worse. I'll get struck by lightning before I don't practice my skills in the rain. I'll spend as much time as you want outside with you training you" Amanda said with a smile, taking a sip from her goblet.

"Well that's true, we have to somehow get Ravenclaw into this friendly rivalry with us, so we can definately show them up once we end up winning the Quidditch Cup this term" She said with a smirk, thinking about what they could do about pulling off some pranks on the other teams.

Helena shook her head, trying to clear it as she did so. That's way more than odd, she breathed. That was plain creepy. It wasn't even as though they just looked alike. They looked identical. Helena cleared her throat. Yeah, my summer was good thanks. My friend just moved pretty far away so I spent most of the summer at his house. It was good fun. She smiled, but it was unsteady.

Evolette did not appreciate being stared at. Honestly. How hard was it to just mind your own business? But even as she thought that, she felt a stab of guilt, angry or not, these girls were only trying to help. Well, she guessed as much anyway.

"I'm perfectly peachy." she said, addressing everyone who had talked to her since she arrived at the table. "Boys suck." she added for good measure, nodding her head.

She was about to destroy the dread even more when someone sat beside her. Oh great. Lima. Just exactly what she needed. Letting out a deep breath, she turned to look at the girl, arching a dark eyebrow, "Yes Lima? Can I help you?"

"Or...hmm....we could just do a spell that would wear off after the game. No tampering with equipment, nothing that would alter the outcome of the game...or...every time we do something we do something nice too: Paint their lockers green, but we leave them a little stuffed raven to be a mascot." She suggested lamely. At the moment she was thinking of little else but painting things green...other pranks could get pretty mean...and she didn't want to cause problems, just have some fun.

Not feeling phased in the least by the look of daggers that Evee shot at her, Lima continued slowly. She wasn't going to get right to the point. Cleariong her throat awkwardly she said, "something the matter?"

Freya narrowed her pale eyes a bit, 'Hmmm...' "Well, at least you enjoyed your time together. That's always nice." She took another bite out of her sandwich, "You know..." Freya had to swallow in order to finish her sentence, "I think I'll be a real pain in the tush this year." She said as she glanced up towards the staff table and at a specific instructor. "I don't feel like being a goody-goody like last year." 'Yeaahhh...like last year, about that...' "How about you?"

"That's pretty cool, actually you might want to do the lockers green and silver. We'll come up with something, once we make the team, we'll talk to the Captain to see what we can do to boost Slytherin pride on the team." Amanda said, eating some more of the cut up sausage on her plate.

Noelle nodded then brought a small piece of pork onto her plate, cut a little piece and put it inbetween two pieces of bread. She certainly does not look peachy, taking her anger out on food..Tut tut. Noelle looked around, hmm, not so many familiar face, she thought as she took a bit of her food. Oh my gosh. Yum. [

Helena laughed. I dunno, I wasn't too much of a goody-goody last year. She chuckled, recalling her encounters at first with Professor Carracio. And giggling in Charms class. Plus, I have time to wreck havoc. She grinned.
