Copernicus felt pained about that whole exchange, and he made a face like his internal organs were combusting. Ow, pain. LIKE THE DRAGON POX. Sigh. "But the difference is that you would never climb a tree with someone else's girlfriend," he clarified.

"Climbing a tree is one thing, Perni. Falling out of it, kissing a girl, and getting caught is quite another. My mum would make you do trash duty muggle style for a month."


Plymouth would totally climb a tree with Anna. He would NOT kiss her though. He reserved his kisses for the one and only Celandine Toussaint and his mom.

"But the tree climbing sometimes leads to other things that you didn't mean to do," Copernicus offered helpfully. "So I think that you have to be careful how you hang out with a girl who isn't your girlfriend who is someone else's girlfriend even if you have good intentions."

"I know. I don't TRY to hang out with her. Trust me. I mean, I didn't ask her to kiss those snowballs." Plymouth didn't seem very repentant though, and that was probably because it had been kind of... awesome.


"She wants me to "tutor" her in Herbology. What do you think? I told her I had to ask my mum and you. Well I just said my mom because I was still on the outs with you, but I meant you, too."

Anna had promised Cale she'd meet him in the Common Room at a certain time, and well...that time had already passed and she still wasn't even on the same floor as the Common Room. She'd practically ran (aka walked very, very quickly) from the dungeon corridor all the way to the sixth floor. She'd been on prefect rounds and had somehow happened upon several students attacking one another for one reason or another. Silly kiddies. At least she'd managed to gain five points from Kazimeriz---who knew he'd be the one to award her random, good behavior points? Anna stopped momentarily to catch her breath, and looked over to find none other than Cope and Plymm, her little buds. "Hey, boys. Bye, boys," she said, hurrying down the corridor and out of sight once again.

"If you told her you would, then you should honor that verbal agreement," Copernicus hedged. "But you should be careful. If she feels so strongly for you, then maybe the best of your intentions.... aren't enough. You can not want to kiss her, and then she'll just up and steal a kiss from you. And you can't take that back. So you need ground rules."

Hehehehe.... "Hehe..." Plymouth waved at Anna. He was a complete idiot, all the time, but mostly when Anna showed up.

Plymouth blinked back to reality when she hurried away. "Wait. Wait. You're right. Those snowballs - do they count? Oh Merlin, Perni! Do you think Cela will be mad at me? I TOTALLY didn't kiss the snowballs back!!" He'd just kind of let them sit in his mouth and roll off his chin..

Uhhh. Shoot. "I dunno. Probably not. You should tell her, though, in case Anna does. They're friends, you know." He did NOT want to give dating advice to his brother, but... they were friends now. Again.

"CellBell's friends with everyone - 'cept you. No offense, but you're missing out. Stop being absurd and be her friend again. Okay? I can't handle that sad face she makes. I might even get Tobi Avalon violent if you don't," Plymouth joked. He'd never be that violent. Ever.

"Tobi Avalon told me the same thing. I'll talk to her soon. Tomorrow. Today. Now," he agreed. "I didn't mean to make her lip go wibble. I just wanted to give you two room to make up."

"We never really fought," Plymouth scratched his head. "She was always too sad... So I was SO sad. Plus, it was clearly all your fault, right?" Plymouth elbow nuzzled Copernicus again. "Tobi Avalon can suck an egg, Perni. Don't listen to him. Listen to me. He punched you in the face and he will get his for that."

"I'm going to listen to him if he tells me to make up with Cela, though," Copernicus mused. "He's not a bad sort. Awful temper, but I feel like if I could just win him over, he'd be on my side for life. A guy needs mates like that, you know?"

Plymouth pointed to himself. "I feel like chopped liver, Pernicus. Come on. I'd really like to be your friend. I really would. I know it's weird that your dad loves my mom. It's weird for me too. But we could be friends..."

"But we are friends... if you want to be," Copernicus gave Plymouth a 'HUH?' look. "It isn't up to me. I already told you that you were probably my best mate here at school. It's up to you, the wronged party. And for the books... your mom loves my dad back."

"Just doesn't really feel like you want to. Like, I don't know. I don't know. Here's the truth: I just want you to like me - SO MUCH - I want you to. It kills me inside. Who gives a hippogryff's behind what Tobi thinks when your best friend has your back?" UGHHHHHHHHH. Copernicus Kettleburn hated Plymouth Morgan.

"Because he can punch my face in again!" Copernicus threw his hands up in the air. "I do like you, Plym. I missed you all this time we weren't talking, and I HATED that you were mad at me. I don't know how to make you believe me..." He paused, cocking his head to the side. "Did you say best friend?"

"He won't punch you in the face again. We'll soak his underwear in itching powder and fill his shoes with poop. No lies. Actually, we might do that anyway, right? He'd deserve it. I want him to know that he can't mess with us. We're the Kettle Brothers Morgan!" Plymouth gave his chest a manly beat. He wasn't going to embarrass himself and repeat the best friend thing. Sigh.

"Let's leave Tobi alone. He's a decent enough chap, if hot headed," he put up his hands.

Ugh. Fine. "You're my best friend too, Morgan," Cope made a face that said clearly he was NOT comfortable with the warm fuzzies that were currently occuring.

"Don't call me that, Stepbrother Perni," Plymouth sighed. "Like I don't already feel weird enough being the only Morgan. Okay?"

Becca wandered the sixth floor with her wand out and carrying the poster from Professor Ashby's homework assignment. There... really wasn't much decoration in the hallways, so it would really be appropriate to put it anywhere. Probably somewhere that there was a high flow of traffic traveling by often throughout the day, right?

She approached a wall and subconciously heard sounds of voices just around the corner, but wasn't really paying attention to the voices themselves. The poster wasn't very fascinating, but she wanted those extra points. So without much further hesitation, she held the poster up against the cold, stone wall and spoke very clearly, "Adhaero!" She pulled her hand back and smirked at the photo. "A job well done, Becca," she muttered to herself, rounding the corner and running into...

...Two of the most magnificent, interesting, and handsome males at Hogwarts. Both of them, together. Becca gaped at them for a moment, feeling the blood rush to her face as they spoke to each other, then quickly regained her courage. She put on a blank, unreadable expression and walked by Plymouth and Copernicus at a rather fast pace. Maybe they wouldn't notice her.

"You could be a Kettleburn too," Copernicus offered with a teasing smile. "Everyone's doing it, you know. Next big fad. Or I could become a Morgan! That might work."

He watched the Ravenclaw girl walk past. What WAS her name? "But I won't call you that. Did you hear what I SAID, though?"

Walking back up the steps from Arithmancy, Liz is reading over her notes, that she had taken, not really looking where she's going. Not realizing she's now on the 6th floor and not the 7th, she walks down the corridor.

"You're just saying that," Plymouth nudged the wall with his toe. "Both things. About the best friend thing and becoming a Morgan with me. I would really like that, Pernicus." Plymouth looked up when he heard someone else in the hallway with them. "Becca Parker - non-rider of the Plymaxan." Plymouth was oddly morose. Maudlin. Poor baby. Stupid Copernicus.

Copernicus fell back against the corridor wall and slid to a seat. "I'm NOT just saying it. I'm begging you to forgive me and be my friend again. Merlin, Plymouth... tell me what I have to do to prove I'm not just lying to you."

He glanced at the girl. Becca was her name... a friend of Plymouth's apparently.

Plymouth slid down the wall to sit next to him. "Nothing.. Nothing. It's just like... well you probably don't get it because you're all proper and prim.... but you know how when you're around someone and you can just TELL that they kind of wish you weren't around?" Hint, hint. Nudge nudge.


"Anddddd a Liz. Ravenclaw meeting on the 6th floor."
