Piper look up at Jack as he spoke and she nodded a little weakly. " Yes, actually I do need help." She said as she reached her hand up to him weakly. "Are you alright Jack? What happened?" She asked as she grimaced trying to move from the wall. "Remind me to wear bright lights on my robe, so people will actually see me when they tackle you." She groaned as she slowly pushed up off the wall.

Barry was about to race after Jake but another girl was hurt. He approached her and pulled her up "Are you alright?" he asked her.

Looking at Jack he said " You better try and behave or you`ll be expelled nbefore the year is out" and then he looked at the girl

Jack took her hand and pulled her gently with Barry's help "I'm fine" he told her not noticing that his lip was a little swollen and his leg was hurting, then he laughed a little "Thanks for trying to help, but it was pretty dangerous for you y'know" Jack sighed

Jack shrugged "So? I've got nothing to stay for" he sighed again

Piper groaned softly as Jack and Barry lifted her to her feet. "I don't think you are fine.." She said softly as she pointed to his lip. She shook her head. " Yeah, I know. You are pretty strong, and look at me.. I can't stop a fight at least physically." She sighed a bit more as she pressed a hand to her ribs only to close her eyes and tried not to scream in pain. " Gah, remind me not to intervene in any more fight okay?" She kept her eyes closed tightly.

"You need to go to the Wing" he said "Come on its only a few floors down" he muttered and he studied her ribs. "You really shouldn`t try helping Jack Moiser, he could end up hurting you" he said sarcasticly "So do you need help?" he asked not sure how he could help her.

Jack shook his head at her "I'm fine, seriously" he smiled at her a little sadly "I'm not that strong, well, maybe I am for a first year, but y'know, there are stronger people" he smiled and then clenched his hand into a fist "Ok" he nodded while biting his lip, trying to ignore the pain Piper was in.

Jack nodded "Yeah, in future, just leave me, I'll get out of it, one way or another" he sighed and then turned to Barry "Of course she needs help, her rib is hurting like mad, so you gonna carry her? Or am I?" he asked.

Piper smiled softly, despite the pain she was in. She shook hr head at Jack and Barry. " Guys. I doubt you two could carry me, even if I am smaller than you. Just let me lean on you two, and I think I will be okay." She said wincing. "Jack, well you are way stronger than me, of course that is not hard to do. A mouse is stronger than me." She said softly with a gentle laugh that hurt. "I'm sorry Jack, pain must be hard for you to handle." She said squeezing her eyes shut tight.

Jack sighed "Fine, but if you need help, let me know, even though I'll know already..." Jack trailed off "I sorta get an energy boost when I get mad, and it comes out in strength so.. yea.." he smiled at her and nodded "It's ok, I can handle it, I'm used to it" he gazed at her and put his arm around her being careful "C'mon, try not to move your upper body so much" Jack told her.

Piper smiled softly, as Jack put his arm around her. "I will let you know, If I can't bear it any more, but of course, you will already know. " She said wincing as she leaned on him with a smile. " Jack what happened? You are so careful and sweet to me, and then with that other boy.." She looked down. " I don't understand." She said as they started to walk down the hall.

Barry went and helped Piper as well "Thats Jack Moiser for you" he said and they walked towards the wing.

Jack nodded at Piper and then stared ahead "Well, he annoyed me a lot, I tried to be his friend and then..." Jack trailed off and sighed.

Jack glanced at Barry and then rolled his eyes "Yeah, yeah, Jack Mosier did this, Jack Mosier did that" Jack muttered quietly.

Piper bowed her head as Jack spoke. " Well, I'm not trying to be your mother or anything I just want to be your friend, so please take some advice from a girl who cares about you. Fighting isn't the answer. You could have killed him Jack, you would have gotten kicked out..I know that I wouldn't have been happy about that. You have been a friend to me, What about Sakura? And Professor Dumont? We all care about you." She said softly, hoping she could get through to him a little.

Nick was sad. The Gryffindor common room had been closed for nearly a week now, and he really missed seeing all the students who used to sit in the room. They were good students all, but times had really changed and were continuing to change still. He flew swiftly and silently through the sixth floor corridor, till his eye fell on a few students who were congregated there. He had actually met a few of these students before, most notably Jack the first year Hufflepuff. He was there speaking to an older girl who was in Gryffindor. He didn't really want to interrupt their conversation, just to get a little closer to some human contact for a brief time, especially with all the changes in the school lately. He flew closer to them, making them both aware of his presence.

Piper turned as she felt something cold and she looked up to see.. Nearly Headless Nick?? Her eyes went slightly wide, and despite the pain she was in.. a smile appeared on her face. " Hello." She said with a smile. She had never talked to a Ghost before.

Nick had been seen, by the young woman from Gryffindor. "Hello there, young lady, how are you today?," he asked politely. "Lovely day, isn't it? Ah, but times are changing, and not for the better." If it were possible for a ghost to look sad, then that would have been Nick. "You have a good day, now. And keep up the good work for Gryffindor." Emotion was overcoming Nick. Without another word, he turned and disappeared down the corridor.

Piper blinked as Nick spoke to her and she was about to reply when he kept speaking and did he look sad.. "Wait.." She called out to him, but he was already gone. Times are changing? What did that mean? She wondered as she looked at the spot where the ghost had been. "Thank you.." She said somewhat lamely as she turned back toward Jack.. "I think we need to get to the healers wing.." She said gripping her rib.

Jack listened to her and was about to answer when Nick appeared, Jack kept his mouth shut as Nick spoke and left, then he turned to Piper "I wish I hadn't done it, but he winds me up, I can't help myself" he mumbled miserably, then he started to move again "Yeah"

Piper nodded as Jack spoke, " Well, just remember that people care about you and want to help you." She said softly as she took a few more steps, the pain was getting worse. "Jack.. I think you might have to carry me.." She said unable to walk more.

Jack nodded "I will" he slipped his hand behind her and then under her knees, he picked her up and stumbled a little under the weight of her "Ok... let's go" he stumbled down the corridor with her in his arms, she was light for someone who was 3 years older than him

Plymouth went to the bathroom to the bathroomish things. Then he stood in front of the mirror flexing his "muscles" and willing them to grow -- if he had to do a Manly Man Competition -- he needed some STAT. But he left when the ghost came in. The ghosts freaked him out.


SO. Plymouth moseyed down the hall rubbing his arms.

Copernicus was considering going to look at the mirror again (if he could) as he wandered along the sixth floor corridor. It was kind of lonely up without the girls or Plymouth. He really needed to make some MALE friends...

Speaking of Plymouth. Cope spotted his step-brother up the hallway and sped up slightly to catch up with him. "So. Hey."

Plymouth slowed his walk to let Copernicus catch. "Hey, Pernicus." Awkward... Plymouth looked down at his feet like they might tell him what to say.

"Yeah," Copernicus agreed, doing the foot shuffle thing that he was picking up lately. "So where are you headed? Common room?"

"No where, really. I'm out for a walk and trying to figure out what exactly a "Manly Man" competition is. Or what it will be. I don't fight..."

"Maybe he'll forget. He's doing that crazy thing that the professors in this school are so good at," Copernicus offered helpfully. It was nice that his step-brother was talking to him. Might as well ruin it.

"So hey," he paused, hoping Plymouth would pause too. "I want you to know that I really am sorry for what I did. I didn't plan it, but I can plan from now on not to let it happen again. I'm really happy you've got a nice girl like Celandine."
