Kait had wanted to go on a walk, just for some quiet. She had made her way up to the sixth floor because she knew less people would be up there. She walked slowly down the hallway, not going anywhere in particular. She breathed in and out slowly to stead her breath after she had run all the way up here.

After a couple minutes she picked a spot against the wall and slid down the wall to sit on the ground.

It was a rare sight to see Jack Thomas with a book in his hands,but today was that one rare day.He'd been trying to get his head around actually doing some studying,but he'd always gotten distracted.

And today was no exception either.Was it luck or chance that Jack might bump into a friend he had not seen since last year.

There she was,leaning against the wall on the sixth corridor."Kait.?"he asked,with a lopsided smile on his face.

Kait looked up as she heard someone call her name. It can't be, she thought, I haven't seen him since last year... She pulled herself up and said enthusiastically, "Jack!" She'd thought about tackling him, but oh, wouldn't that just be funny, her knocking someone to the ground on purpose..she did it a lot, she just never meant to.

Jack walked over to her,it was her.His lopsided smile turned into a grin quickly."Kait!"he said,pulling her into a gental hug."Merlin,I havnt seen you since.."he said,stopping to think."Well since last year"he said,letting go of her."What are you doing down here?"he asked,putting the book behind his back

Kaitlynn rolled her eyes as she noticed him slide his book behind his back quickly and just though typical Jack. She looked at him for a minute and the said, "I know, it's been a long time, we should let it go that long. And I'm here because I wanted to have some place quiet, without a bunch of people I don't know." She paused for a minute then asked, "How have you been?"

Jack noticed her eyes wonder behind his back.He laughed a little."No,we shouldnt.."he said,"We should try and stay in touch a little more.."he said,nodding.He looked around a little."And hows that working out for you."he said,grinning

Kait smiled at him. "It's pretty good actually, until you showed up," she teased. She pulled her notebook out of her pocket and fiddled with it. "I'm on the Quill staff this year actually, I've been trying to think of a student who does a lot around the school, it's a little difficult." She paused for a minute just thinking then added, "Do you know of anyone?"

Jack raised an eyebrow."Well thank you very much Kait,you know just how to make a boy feel welcome"he said,punching her arm in a very soft manor.He laughed at her comment.He crossed his arms,"Wow..that sounds great.. "he said to her,"But I cant really think of anyone.."he said pulling a 'sorry I'm not very popular' face.

Not paying any kind of attention to the Hufflepuff girl talking to some Gyrffindor boy --she wasn't paying any attention to anything but herself, for that matter-- Willow strolled down the corridor as if she owned the place, reviewing in her head all the Quidditch strategies she had pondered over the summer.

Stretching on her tip toes, the fifth year put up yet another flier, before resuming her wandering.

Kait smiled and rubbed her arm as if it hurt. She'd been thinking while he was talking and had decided that she was going to go with one of the prefects, which one, she had yet to decide. She'd have to seen her owl out to the new ones asking if they wanted to be interviewed.

Kait watched as a girl walked past and stuck a poster on the wall. She waited until she was gone and then walked over and read the poster. I should know who she is, Kait thought, she's on the quill with me as well. She hadn't thought of posters, but she also couldn't see how it would work for her column.

Turning back to Jack she asked, "Anything new and exciting happen to you over the summer?"

Lyra's feet landed on the sixth floor as she immediately walked over to the wall. Willow had already been here. YES! She turned back to witness the reaction that both Elizabeth and Robert were giving. Clearly they were closer friends than she knew and they were quite funny together. She couldn't help but giggle along with Elizabeth. "I think that picking on you is fun," she said to Robert with yet another wink. "I don't mind staying in between you and Elizabeth just as long a no one steps on my feet." She giggled as she enjoyed her company and was glad they had met. It was amazing the personalities around the school.

"Ok, so I expect something from you," she said as she pointed to Elizabeth. "And I know when I see a riddle it will be from you?" It would really be strange if someone really did send in a riddle and she thought it came from Robert. She really wanted to put out something good with her first issue of the Quill for the year. She always enjoyed reading it before and hopefully others would enjoy it as well.

As they walked up the stairs to the sixth floor, Elizabeth couldn't help but argue with Robert. "It's not that she can't ignore you. She just chose not to. And it's not my fault if you're now paranoid about little old me hurting you. You didn't really seem to think it was possible in Diagin Alley when you made that deal with me." She grinned mischievously up at him, but it faded a bit as he continued on the topic of Truebridge. Looking away, she tried to evade. "I apologized to him. That's all. And no. I can't say I really tried to solve the mystery of the missing actor. I'm sure he had his reasons . . ."

They finally came out into the corridor on the third floor, and she looked ahead to see Lyra's reaction to the poster that was already there. Laughing a little, especially when Lyra spoke again, she said, "I only step on people when they act stupid," grinning again. Then she nodded as Lyra double-checked about the column. "I said if I had anything, i'd send it in. So I will. I keep my promises," she assured the Huffie, then laughed again as the riddle was brought up. It would really be funny if a riddle appeared in the Quill, whether or not it came from Robert.

Robert rolled his eyes as he followed Lyra up the stairs to the sixth floor and heard her comment, "Oh that's just great. Now I'll always be picked on. Never a moments rest with the dynamic duo in tow." He glanced at Elizabeth and shook his head, "I don't think you're her foot stepping type. She likes tall guys with a smart sense of humour," he said with a wink.

"Well...not necessarily...I never said I WOULD send it. For all you know it could be...a...poem. Or maybe even a short story and you can guess the hidden meaning," he said with a smirk as he looked at Lyra.

"Well does that mean she likes me more then you Liz? After all you just ignore me when you think I'm being stupid and for the record I still think you can't," he said teasingly as he walked along the hallway. "Aww that's too bad. I could use some mystery solving. Hmm...maybe we'll make that a project," he said with a smirk.

Lyra couldn't help but giggle at both Elizabeth and Robert. She liked Elizabeth's statement. "I promise not to act stupid," she giggled then turned to Robert and smiled. "We wouldn't pick on you if we didn't like you." She stuck out her bottom lip in a pout and began laughing once again. She felt so carefree at the moment without a worry.

And that lasted for a second. What if no one sent anything in for the Agony Aunt? She had to have someone at least send her something that she could help them with. She liked giving advice even if she did sound stupid sometimes. "Well, I hope that you both at least try to send something in. It would make me happy." This time she winked at both Elizabeth and Robert with a smirk on her face.

Elizabeth snickered as Robert assured Lyra she wasnt the type of person that she'd step on. "Don't forget the hair-trigger temperament," she muttered under her breath, "And you're a bit beyond tall compared to me." Ludo was tall. Robert was gigantic. But then she grinned up at him as he challenged her about being able to ignore him. "You depend on me to keep you from being stupid," she reminded him flippantly. "So it's my job not to ignore you." She shook her head as he wanted to make it a project to find out what was up with Professor Truebridge. "I'm sure if he wanted us to know why he did what he did, we'd know," she continued to evade. And then she was saved by Lyra speaking.

Laughing as the Huffie said she promised not to act stupid, she looked over. "That's good. Cause I think I already have my hands full regarding protecting people from their own stupidity," she said with another grin, glancing up at Robert again. He really was like a brother to her. Kind of like if Jonathan was younger, and at school with her. And she giggled as Lyra momentarily pouted before dissolving into laughter again. But when the other girl suddenly got a bit more somber, her own expression changed to a concerned smile. "Of course I'll try to send something in," she reassured Lyra, before grinning again at the Huffie's wink. Now if she only could come up with anything to write about. She might have to come up with something completely ridiculous, just to see what the response would be.

"Plymouth. I think I threw a snotty handkerchief at you and you cried. Sorry about that." Plymouth did owe her a free sweetie or some such for that. Most ungentlemanly of him that had been. He took up her "skating/walking" and followed along happily behind her. "Thanks for the trim.... It's just... NEVER going to stop growing. Trolls. Trolls don't even have this much ear hair!" And thankfully, they were headed for Copernicus. "He's my stepbrother, Copernicus is. "He's a nice know-it-all. Like, literally knows it all, you know?"

"Plymouth." Cela repeated happily, "Ohh I wasn't crying because of the hanky. I had just found out that the best prefect in the history of Hogwarts- who I wish was my brother instead of my real one- wasn't coming back to Hogwarts. I was really sad." Celandine explained.

She skidded to a stop and turned to face Plymouth, still holding his hand quite firmly as if she thought he might disappear in a forest of ear hair and she'd have to pull him out. "I haven't ever seen a troll." she commented somewhat absently, "Your step-brother? Oh I doubt he knows more than I do." Cela waved her free hand absently and turned to skate forward again.

Lyra walked onto the sixth floor and leaned against the wall. She placed a book up to her face as her eyes shifted down the hallway. She was waiting on Agie to show up as she had a few things to discuss...secret things. She had a plan and needed to involve her bestie as two heads were better than one.

Agie walked to the sixth floor corridor, very curious as to what Lyra wanted. She was up to something. Her eyes scanned the corridor, until she found Lyra... with a book. After a raised brow, Agie walked over to Lyra and leaned against the wall next to her. "So?" She said with a sly smile. "What are youu up to missy?"

Lyra brought the book down to where it uncovered her eyes. A sly smile emerged but one could tell she was up to something by just the look of her eyes. "I have a plan," she snickered, pulling the book down. "But...here is not the place to talk about it." She nodded her head towards a portrait in the hallway, one with a door handle. "I found something that seems to be a secret passageway to somewhere. We can talk in there." She began to move towards what she was speaking of. "Come, we shall have fun."

Oh this had to be good. Agie's glanced at the portrait, Lyra was talking about. "Heyy, I didn't even notice that." She said, taking a few steps closer, until they were standing right in front of it. "I wonder where it goes." She said shiftily. "You first!"

Twilight came out of the Transfiguration classroom after having completed her transfiguration work. It had taken a lot of energy to get her partner out of the maze. She was relieved they had made it.
'Now they could actually speak to each other.' she thought, shyly looking back at her partner.

Aggie was running down the hallway like a bat flying out of hade’s gate. She slipped as she turned a sharp corner and grabbed onto the tapestry hanging there to catch her balance. Her feet fumbled bellow her a little before she managed to catch herself.

She glanced behind her wondering if she were safe only to see the raging rhinoceros, erm – Tobi, gaining ground on her.

“Eek!” she managed to get out through rapidly sucked in breaths. He still looked as steamed as he did when he came tearing out of the Transfiguration Maze. “Don’t turn me into bunny slippers!” she yelled back at him before taking off for the stairs.

Tobi would have caught up to Aggie by now, his legs were much longer than hers, but weaving though people wasn't the easiest thing to do. Especially when you're fully loaded with a heavy shoulder bag.

"I'll do worse than that you treacherous little harpy!" he threatened, "Just you wait!"

Throwing caution to the wind, Tobi threw the bag with it. It had his name on it.

CLANG! It hit a suit of armour.

Tobi winced and kept on running, he could hear the wheezy cursing of the disgruntled suit as he rounded the corner.

"Are you allowed to use such language in a school?" he called over his shoulder. He was only mildly interested.

He would not be deterred. He would pay her back in kind for getting him lost, nearly bursting his eardrums, and just about burning him alive.

Aggie had disappeared down the staircase but Tobi had plenty of energy left. He'd have her yet. He followed.
