Jake's attention was stolen at once and he stared at Lima. Twitch. Twitchtwitch. "Jakey Wa-" twitch "-Wakey?" Nobody had ever called him something like that. Ever. His eyes narrowed a little. If I hear that in public... I won't be responsible for my actions... "You don't plan on... saying that in... public," Jake asked suspiciously. "Do you?"

"Mhmm..." he replied, acting a little off now. "I only managed to earn us two points so far," Jake admitted. "So I don't know if I'll be much of an addition. My mind was already blown by the Arithmancy homework, and it's mainly the theory." Jake groaned. Explanations = go home!

Jake nodded again. "Yeah, it is fun. And I usually call animals odd names. Like I had a cat when I was 8, that I called Dog. But that was because I thought if something was an animal, it automatically became a dog. But I had pretty normal human names for my animals. Like Alice and Max, and the old boy, Jess. So Steph isn't bad. In fact, people think 'human' names for animals are original." And odd.

Geesh, quit rambling Jakey Wakey.

Copernicus emerged from his common room and just stood there in the hallway. So... where was he going next? Down the stairs was the best start, but where did one go to find a Peeves? And what was a Peeves?

"I just sent a letter to my sister," Via said with a little smile to John. "I am planning to head over the library now. I have to do a bit of reading..." Well, she really needed them now. She's not going out the castle again, how sad. "I could still come at the owlery though."

"You look a little lost here," Karma said, turning the corner to find herself facing Copernicus.

He was thinking about something, she knew that much. That look on his face told it all.

"Out on an adventure?"

"Livvy wants me to get lotion from a Peeves," Copernicus turned and gave Karma a little bow with just his head. "But I'm not a full on idiot just yet. I'm fairly certain she is in there giddy over having sent me on a hard task. Which is why I intend on succeeding."

"Lotion from Peeves? Why would he have something like that?"

Karma was very confused on this task. Peeves was a Poltergeist, not an actual person or thing. What would he have to give? She shifted her bag and tried to not drop her books.

"Peeves is a Poltergeist..."

"I have no idea," Copernicus shrugged. "All I know is what I was told. Where would I find this poltergeist?"

Karma leaned against the wall she was near and placed her bag on the ground. She thought for a moment, and remembered her last encounter with Peeves.

"Peeves isn't someone you would find. You'd just, come across him. He'd more than likely be playing pranks on someone though. So you'd have to be careful. He goes for anyone."

"So where can I find lotion for Livvy, if Peeves isn't going to help?" Copernicus hated being sent on a mission that was impossible to accomplish. It just dashed his sense of adventure and chivalry all to pieces. "I'll go ask the Potions Master how to make some!"

Karma smirked slightly. Copernicus was determined, and was sent on a mission that wouldn't even be accomplished the way he told it would be.

"Well. I guess you could do that. Or you could just ask another girl to borrow her lotion. That might work just as well."

"Id love your company .... i have already wrote the letter i just need to send it now" He said with a smile "and if ill go with someone that pretty everyone in my year would want to be my friend " he added with a devilish smile..

Chalice walked really slowly down the hall. She was tired and just wanted to talk to someone. Chalice wanted some social interaction... any social interaction. She sighed and twisted the ring on her thumb, it was useless. She would have to take the ring off eventually, it wasn't helping her in any way so why could she not let it go?

"Yes, that's a thought," Copernicus grinned. "Let me try it my way first, and then I'll come beg you for lotion when I burn up in a mess like an erumpant horn. Thanks for your help!"

Via blushed a little, and looked at John, "Oh you flatter me," she said with a smile. "Alright i'll come with you." Via walked with John towards the owlery.

John Smiled a Huge Smile ...
i guess my sister wasn't stupid after all... he thought to himself and smiled even bigger ...
and started to walk to the owlery with the second year girl near him

She smiled, ignoring the twitches. "Of course I will. You are Jakey Wakey now. I have to call you that in public, it's my new name for you." BWAHAHA This was going to be fun.

"Oh, any points that you can get us is good. Don't be silly. Besides, it's only the beginning of Term anyway." She shrugged. She herself hadn't gotten any points yet. But then that was kinda hard to do if she hadn't done any lessons as of yet. "Besides, if you ever need any help with work, you know you can ask me. Especially if it's in Arithmancy. " She winked at him knowingly.

She was thoughtful. "Maybe you are right. And I like giving odd names too. My snowy owl is named penguin and my fruit bat is named Milk. And if I had a cat, I'd name it Garfield Jr." She snorted.

Blah! So Jakey Wakey it was... Jake held back a glare as he took a deeeeeeep breath. "Fine... call me... Jakey Wakey... see if I care..." Jake tried to sound convincing and truthfully apathetic but inside he was a twitchin' ball of Jakey Wakey-ness.

Nodding, Jake tilted his head. "Yeah, I suppose that's right... I'm a little scared of losing points... with all the different professors, they each expect different stuff, you know?" Jake explained. "What can be an innocent remark to one professor, could be worth 15 points with another. And sometimes, doing the right thing is actually doing the wrong thing... it is so confusing..."

He'd never really said it out loud, and it did seem weird now he did. It was having one professor who had multiple standards. Blech. "I'll be sure to holler if I need assistance," Jake smiled. "How are you on History of Magic?"

Then, the word Garfield struck a chord in Jake's memory. Garfield = big, fat, ginger cat = Gingersnapple. "Have you met Gingersnapple?" Jake asked suddenly, not realising he may have seemingly changed the topic for no reason.

She laughed and gave him a hug. "That's better, Jakey Wakey." She smiled at him. "You know, you remind me a bit of Dominic," she added thoughtfully. She knew that that was random, but whatever. And maybe Dom needed a nickname too. Dommy Wommy?

She just nodded. It was a typical First Year fear. "Well, I can't speak for the new Professors of course, bit the ones that have been here for a while are generally fairly easy going. I wouldn't worry much about that." She shrugged and hoped that the new Professors would be like that too.

She smiled and said, "I'm okay at History of Magic, but it's not my strongest subject. But I'm sure I can try to get my ex-boyfriend to help you there if you need it and I can't help." She had no idea if it would work, but Maddox loved being smart and showing it off, so it was possible.

"Gingersnapple?" She blinked. She was totally confused now.

And so Via walked with John to the owlery. She had to find a way to fit in her schedule her homework. She would have to submit it before time. And so they left the corridor.

Hmmm... interesting. Like Dominic. Now where had he heard that before? Truth be told he couldn't quite remember where, but still... "In what way, may I ask," Jake replied, keeping up the act.

"Gooooood..." Jake replied. "I'm sure I'll get used to it, ya know? New school and routine and all that..." Jake let his thoughts wander to Krazy Kazi's greed for points for just a second. "I just hope that I don't get on the bad side of certain professors."

Jake shrugged. "Ah, maybe... I'll just have to see how the lessons go. You never know, I might find it easy..." Though that was doubtful.

"Oh, right... Sorry," Jake shook his head. "The Herbology professor, Professor Bunbury, has this giant of a cat. It's like ginger, and it decided that I would be his bed when I went down there the other day..." Jake shuddered. "I kind of feared my physical well-being, mainly my eyes..." Jake said, remembering the claws. Instinctively Jake reached up and petted Lolcat. "Not to mention the fact I ended up with orange cat furs all over me... I suppose I should take that as a no, then, considering your reaction." Ooh, way to deduct.

The Grey Lady floated through one of the walls and then proceeded to float slowly down the corridor. Her book was open and she was reading.

Stepping out of the Ravencla common room, Willow found herself in the seventh floor corridor. Nodding respectfully to the Grey Lady, for the ghost was now wandering around there, the fifth year put up yet another flier before making her way down to Professor Vindictus office.

after john and via sent the letter he said
"do you want to go to the common room or do you have something to do?

Via shook her head. "Nah, have nothing to do. I'm done with Arithmancy homework." Via wondered what she should do next. "What about you?"

"the only thing i have to do well i don't have to it .. "
he hesitated if he should tell her
